The hood she wore looked like an old one, the color was tan with a button in the front that connected it together. She was so relieved to have it, since it covered up her scars, and no one could stare or laugh at what they didn't know was there.
In the silence of the night, with not even any crickets chirping, Rei decided to sit on the park bench for a little while. It was late, but she couldn't sleep. She just pulled her hood more over her head to hide her face from the shadows around her, tucking her knees into her chest and hugging them close to her. She was alone...like she had been every night since she'd left. She couldn't figure out where she belonged, but right now, she felt as if she didn't belong anywhere. She was useless, there was nothing special about her.... she just sat there, shivering ever so slightly that dark cold night. She felt too drained to cry, the void within her was too large and was sucking up her ability to feel anything positive. She didn't care anymore... She didn't care about being alive, or how she felt, or how starving she was. She just wanted to die, pass away without a trace. Everyone was too full of their own lives to care for someone like her. She put her forehead on her knees, her eye barely open and gray in color. She let her eye water and a single tear slide, before hugging herself for what little comfort it gave, and sitting like that. She didn't move, she just sat there, hoping time would shut her eye and finally fall asleep.
