Blood Drive [Job]

Dimaria had just woken up from a long sleep. She was ready to take on yet another job. This was all for experience of course. If she wanted to be as good as the rest of them, she needed to keep taking jobs, all the time, every day. The moment she set foot outside of the inn she was staying in at Rose Garden, the first thing she heard was something about having blood drawn. It sounded like a good cause, but Dimaria was not the type to have her blood taken out. She already looked like someone who had a disease, like she had no blood in her body since her skin tone was super pale and translucent you could see the blue and green veins under her skin. She never liked it, but everyone in the North was usually like this. She did not mind. It was one of the things she would remember about her past. At least she was not looking like a ghost or something...even though during her childhood some other children liked to compare her to ghosts. Children from the South were so shallow. They barely had plans for the future. All they did was play around, no training, just wasting their time. Naturally, Dimaria did not like them, or their parents, or the place they lived in. In all honesty, all she wanted to say to all those Southern kids was: ‘Fuck you, fuck your face and the lame ass shit you wear.’

So hearing about this blood drawing ceremony was not the only thing she heard in the street. It seemed they were looking for volunteers to help them out in it. Perfect. It was the job she needed. This way, she would not only have done a job, but also learnt how blood was drawn in these ceremonies. She had never heard or seen such a thing. So then Dimaria would casually stroll to the Rose Garden blood center and sign up as a volunteer. The lady at the gate would make sure she was fit for this and that she was a legal mage then let her pass through the gate. Even though she was a legal mage and all, she had the most bitchy face in the world. The fact that her eyes were boiling red did not help at all. It just scared people. So now that she was in the establishment, the faint coppery smell of blood would enter her nostrils. It was not like her senses were over the top. It was more like she was not usually in the presence of such a lot of blood. Eyes widened, she would walk over to the nearest patient. The blood that oozed through the needle into the syringe was terrifying. She decided it was best not to look at the blood drawings and just help with making them feel better. And so she would do that, serve food, entertain the patients in the best way she could, and then collect her reward and be on her merry way.
