    Your Dad Loves You
    GET IN THE ROBOT!

A job has been posted and Nao was the only one capable of taking on the new job.  Ashelia was somewhere, Almyra wasn't quite ready for this job, nor was the new member of the team Jessi.  An odd cookie that one is.  Clearing her throat, Anastasia was behind the helm of the SS Myrmidon, cleverly named George by Almyra, she spoke into the speech tubes, which sent her voice throughout the entire ship like a PA system.  She would have an actual PA system, but that would require more wiring and why bother when the ship already had a well-to-go announcement system.  After all, it made her feel like a real pirate.

"Nao, we'll be at Motor City in about 10 minutes.  Prepare yourself," she said before Taliya quickly burst onto the bridge and shouted, "Hey yo!" as the Fire Moth circled around her for a moment only to transfer itself over to Anastasia.  "Ugh.  An escort mission, Taliya," Anastasia said in dismay.

"What's wrong with that?  Every job I do is a big escort mission for you," she stated with a toothy grin before Ana's cheeks puffed up.  "Shut up," she said.  "Oh!  Did you wear those bras you bought in the Rose Garden?" Taliya asked before Ana turned her head to the side for a moment.  "Yes.  But why do I have to wear something so frilly to a job like this?"

"it's either that or have your pokies sticking out throughout most of the job," Taliya said, causing Ana's face to turn beet red.  "Shut up and get ready!  Geez!" she said before she, herself, stomped her way to her room to prepare her gear; getting out of the frilly clothing she was in and putting on her combat gear, which was the same clothing she wears when on a pirate job.

After she got dressed, the on-board computer, also named George, spoke out.  "We have arrived in Motor City.  Your clients will meet you on the docks.  You are to be joined with someone from Sabertooth," spoke the computer as she grumbled a bit.

"Another one?" she asked, still remembering the gung-ho monster that was Minh.  Hopefully this woman wasn't as RAWR SMASH as the walking mountain was.  "Alright, I'm heading to the ramp.  Make sure Nao gets his ass up, alright, George?" she requested.  Though, she realized that Nao couldn't be sleeping when he's busy chucking brine out from the side of the ship.  Poor guy.  After a brief moment, the ship landed on the ground and the ramp opened up, causing Ana, the Fire Moth, and Taliya to walk down the ramp while being blasted by the jet-wash.

The two of them didn't worry about Nao, as they know he wouldn't be too far behind.  Upon landing, a pair of children could be seen outside of Ana's ship.  A boy with a sword and a younger girl hiding behind the boy.  However, upon noticing Anastasia and Taliya were women, she walked out from behind her brother and smiled at them with a wave.  However, with the wave, a massive THUNK could be heard as her giant mace fell to the floor.  "Oopsie!" she said as she went to pick it up.

"I told you brother, we were just in time. Here in about 20 seconds, the second one will appear, and another 20 seconds, the third should appear," the girl said.  Tilting her head inquisitively, Anastasia walked over to the duo and cleared her throat.

"I'm Anastasia Isayev and this is Taliya," she said, pointing at Taliya for a moment.  "We're here for the job," Ana said before the boy nodded his head.  There was an air of confidence with him and a spark of justice in his eye.

"Yes! That's good!  We will definitely need your help," he said.  Afterward, Ana started to feel a tingling coming from multiple directions; the tingling was almost painful.

    Job Name: Sacrifice
    Job Rank: S Rank
Job Requirements: Either 1 S ranked mage only, 2 A ranked mages, max of 3 mages may participate.. 60 posts of 500 words. In the end, rescue Kenta and Yuka and defeat Mecha Project: Genocide.

*Note: You may only 1 monster dice per post.*
Type of job: One time only
    Job Location: Motor City
Job Description: Kenta, a young swordsman with excellent fighting abilities. His swordplay is unmatched among even the highest of mages. This is due to his magic being designed to enhance that swordplay. For example, he is able to increase his speed and awareness while he holds the weapon that he does. He might need to increase his attack speed to string his combos, or maybe pull back his weapon when it is out of his reach. Swordplay magic is heavily reliant on the blade that the user has, and without that sword, they are next to nothing in combat.  With 17 years of life in him, he has dedicated his whole life around training to become a better mage, and making sure his 15 year old sister is safe as well. A very caring brother, a great ally, a versatile strategist, yet he is not the brightest when it comes to priorities. Though he means well, the risks he takes for the smallest things are not worth the trouble, and he may place those who are with him in danger. While working with him, you may experience a little difficulty while keeping him in check. He can take 10 S ranked hits before being knocked out of commission. Every hit he lands deals S ranked damage.

Yuka, little sister of Kenta. She doesn't really care to use magic, but instead, carry around a giant mace and wipe out loads of enemies with one giant swing of it. This being said, she is not very good with defenses, and even less at evasion. A berserker might not be the best term for her either, since her attack speed is not that high either. This is due to the heavy weight of her mace. Though she may not be the most useful in combat, she is a rather bright child as well as innocent. She knows how to speak to others in a way to obtain information, she can calculate distances and analyze possible scenarios like no other. This young lady is even capable to keeping track of time with her head. For example, she knows how long she has been living by the minute. She isn't as risky or desperate as her brother, nor does she feel that she needs much protection while her mace is by her side. Though a little bit carefree and playful since she just barely got out of being a child, she is important for cases in which one must heavily think. She can take 5 S ranked hits before being knocked out of commission. Every hit she lands inflicts 2 S ranked hits.

There is a new threat in the land of Fiore, and the traces of it come from the core of Motor City. Kenta and Yuka thought it would be a great chance to practice fighting alongside a few mages, since they want to become Rune Knights when they grow up. So they decided to put up a job application all around in order to at least have one other mage assist them. The goal for them is to investigate and possibly eliminate this threat. Your objective is to guard them, making sure that the both of them come out of this alive, and destroy the source of all of the new threat before it causes anymore havoc. However, don't expect things to go as planned, there is no data on the new threat except for the fact that it has taken countless numbers of lives already. This can't be proven either, since they just go missing, no evidence of their deaths either. All the missing people seem to connect to one final result, and one cause only. Investigate Motor City and finish the job not many have been able to.

    Enemies:
Weak: Disturbance: The air around you begins to vibrate, messing with your senses. A weird feeling as you are getting closer to the cause of all the trouble. Keep walking, don't let it bother you. It doesn't really do anything to you, nothing too crucial and out of the ordinary.

Normal: Nexile Troops (5x): Machines that are nothing too special in combat. They only appear while you are very near, and they will guard their master at all costs. They are very resistant to attacks, since they were designed to be more like distractions instead of actual threats. Each one takes 3 S rank hits to defeat. Each Troop inflicts S rank damage for each hit. They are armed with their bodies only, just ramming into enemies on foot.

Strong: Sacrifice: This is where you lose someone in your party. The cost of awakening the Mecha Project is a life of a human. This is not known, and unknowingly, Kenta and Yuka will be held up into the air, surrounded by white bubbles around their body. The first bubble to be touched will pop, freeing the one inside of it out. The other will remain shut, unable to be broken, and after a few seconds, will shatter, taking itself and everything in it out in an explosion, one designed to cut existence itself. You must choose between Yuka and Kenta.

If you chose Kenta to live: He will live, but at the sight of seeing his sister die, and the fact that he knew that you were able to save her, not really get along with you too well. After all, he did dedicate himself to protecting his little sister, and now that's gone. Though he is a much better fighter, he won't get along with you so much anymore, and will even go so far as to blame you for her demise. Don't expect him to work so well with you when fighting the Mecha Project.

If you chose Yuka to live: She will live, and at the sight of seeing her brother die, she will be heavily angered. Her skills are heavily increased in combat, and will do anything to see the Mecha Project destroyed. Her only mission is to avenge her brother, she won't be too innocent anymore. A much better ally in combat, but she won't be thinking as logically as she did before. Careful not to be in the way of her mace.

*If a Strong Monster roll is rolled already, if you roll another one, it becomes a Boss monster roll.

Boss:  Mecha Project: Genocide: You have woken a sleeping giant. This machine lies within the core of Motor City, harnessing it's power from those who have lost their lives in combat with this. It was designed by Nexile, a group that wanted to build a monarch. This was a creation that was designed to be a branch for the Nexile project that becomes the monarch of the world. Mecha Project: Genocide, has five rankings based on the number lives it has taken away. You found it at it's final stage, lucky you. This machine has placed over 4,500 people to their graves while in combat with them. Now it's up to you to destroy such a machine. This project is a humanoid sort of robot, with the same mentality and calculations that a regular human would. However, it comes armed with a variety of weapons for it to play with, as well as such thick armor for damage mitigation. It takes 25 S ranked hits to finish this machine off and destroy it, once and for all. Each hit it lands inflicts 2 S ranked hits worth of damage.

    Mech Armor Abilities:

New Life: For every 5 posts in combat, 2 S ranked hits worth of damage is healed, and the next attack to hit it will do no damage, despite the rank of the attack.

    Weapons:

The rule for Mecha Project: Genocide, is that it may have only one weapon equipped at a time.

Fortunes Treasure: A lucky blade designed to put all other enemies and allies all the same to shame. The wielder gains 50% awareness and 50% speed, allowing them to see attacks easily, then dodge them just as easily.

Headsman Ax: A two-handed weapon with a blade so sharp, it could cut into diamond like paper. This blade doubles the Mecha Project: Genocides power. So now it inflicts 4 S ranked hits instead of the regular 2.

Bound Scythe: The Scythe is reeking of death, this weapon took so many lives away. It gains the effects of the previous 2 weapons at the same time. Mecha Project: Genocide takes 1 S rank worth of damage for each post it wields this weapon.

*If this is rolled before the Strong monster dice was rolled in the thread, this roll becomes a Strong monster roll.*

Reward: In the end, you could only bring one back. The one you brought back has to accept moving on, and this experience taught them to be stronger. They will thank you for at least saving their life, regardless of how they feel. And they will reward you the amount of money that they promised.

100,000 Jewels and an Extra S rank worth of Exp.

Sleeping to Nao meant his world was filled with him floating in a dreamless void. Or well… he was dreaming but it was him floating in darkness with no recollection of the past or where he originated from, so how could he really dream? In the end all it meant to him was closing his eyes, getting some rest from the awful motion sickness that he seemed to get from all these travels on George. He figured that it would be better to get from a to b on Charlie, and it would probably be quicker.

Nao wasn’t actually awoken by the sound of Ana calling through the pipe system they had built, but instead by being nudged by his faithful pet. It would take but a small nudge by the ethereal being meant getting knocked by a small storm, causing him to hit the wall of his bed at a few metres per second. This would wake the water slayer up with a horrific hangover-like sensation. Headache, nausea, but unsurprisingly hydrated by his magic.

”I’m up, I’m up!” he yelled, rubbing his head where he made impact with the metallic wall. ”You gotta work out your strengths, boy. Otherwise you’re going to wake me up one day and knock me back out again!” The gryphon chirped slightly, before turning into his child form. The now baby gryphon would look at Nao with an nonchalant look, before motioning a wing to the door.

”I guess we’re here then. Explains why I don’t really feel sick at all right now then huh?” He smiled softly and began to make his way through the ship, and towards the cargo bay where he would usually depart the ship from.

Luckily before the nap, Nao had managed to get changed into his survivor’s vest, which was tucked behind a shirt, while also wearing a pair of casually worn tracksuit bottoms, and a pair of shoes suitably fit for combat and with red racing stripes… because racing stripes makes anything go faster. Jobs were never a casual thing, and he was so casual and uncaring now that he had been with his team for so long (at least… he thought he had been with his team for a long time). He didn’t leave it up to fashion choices to decide whether he would be combat ready or not. He just wanted something a little useful for moving.

As he and Charlie walked off the ship, he saw Ana and Taliya had already greeted themselves with their escorts. A young girl and boy had requested some assistance in protecting them. They weren’t usually ones to shy away from any kind of job, even if Ana disliked escorting people through dangerous terrain and people. But he knew she didn’t mind fighting new enemies.

”Yo!” he said casually, running a hand back behind his head, and rubbing the slowly growing bump on his head. ”Sorry I was behind, Charlie had to be woken up from a nap here.” The gryphon would instead stop and give a stern look at his master, before following behind.

”I’m Nao, and this is Charlie my little pet gryphon. Say hi to them, Charlie!” At this point the little gryphon would run over to the two of them and playfully greet them, wanting to be pet and loved by his new friends. ”See? He loves you already.” He gave them a smile, before turning to look at Ana and Taliya.

”So, any clue on where we need to take them?” he asked, wondering how they were going to get them from point A to point B safely.

Post by Nirvana on 7th July 2016, 8:22 am

Another day, another job. Lynn was so hyped to take jobs these days after reaching A-rank; it seemed she was motivated. She had just tossed away the cigarette butt from her morning smoke, letting out a satisfied sigh as she returned inside her bedchamber. Clothing herself in an easy outfit that would not bother her in battle, the Ice Dragon Slayer signalled for Zlatan, her guardian and pet lion, who descended from a sort of patrol flight that Lynn didn’t really assign to him, he just wanted to protect the guild. Slightly folding his large wings as he landed, the winged beast produced a grunt as if to let his mistress know that he had arrived. Once she was ready, Lynn hopped onto the back of Zlatan, giving him the name of the place that they were heading to that was ‘Motor City’, a place that she had never been to in her life. She may or may not have stopped there during a journey to somewhere very far, but it was very unclear in her memory. But since Zlatan had a virtual map in his map of the world, there was no need to worry. He could just connect the dots and arrive at the place no problem. So they took off from the huge platform just outside Lynn’s bedchamber. The sun was rather merciful that day, hiding behind thick clouds. It may or may not rain, seeing how the clouds were sort of dark. Lynn was very fond of rain so it wouldn’t be a bother to her.

In a few hours, they had reached the district that was known as ‘Motor City’. Lynn could see faint figures standing in a group, which was out of the ordinary compared to other areas of the place, observing from above. And a ship? Squinting her eyes, she realised that it was in fact a ship. She wondered if it belonged to her job partners. “There,” she told Zlatan, pointing her index at the group, signaling for him to land there. The lion slowly descended to the ground, about a mile from the group, then when he landed perfectly, he would walk casually towards them, Lynn still on him, seated majestically like an otherworldly queen with her shiny azure hair flowing down and framing her face, like a waterfall. The moment she was right in front of them, Lynn would drop down from above her guardian and straighten herself before speaking. “Hello. I am Lynn and this is Leon Zlatan, my guardian. You can call him Pride, by the way. I’m here to do the job,” she informed the group of strangers. There were two small kids as well, as mentioned in the job description. She imagined working with small children. Given the large weapon that the smaller one, a girl, was wielding, she hoped they had an idea of what they were doing. In the job description, they were described to be really good at what they did, so Lynn decided to hope for the best.

    Time to run
    a daycare, yaaaaaay!

A tingling sensation rushed over her body in the direction that Nao came from.  This urged her to turn and look towards the source of the tingling.  She hadn't felt this before until after she made her contract with Fafnir.  This was a power granted to her that she didn't fully understand.  It was supposed to be a method to tracking down Dragon Slayers in an attempt to stop them from hunting dragons for sport.  While not every Dragon Slayer would hurt a dragon for sport, it was still her job to do that.  However, she didn't know that that was what her power to sense Dragon Slayers was all about.

Turning her head towards the source of the tingle, Anastasia smiled as her partner, Nao, appeared out of George.  "Hey there, sleepy-head," she said with a little bit of a wave.  Naturally, Taliya would look in Nao's direction and wave at him with a sheepish grin upon her face.  Yes, Taliya was completely infatuated with the man; waiting for the right time to pounce him in his bed upon the ship.  But that's neither here nor there.  "Ready for another job, Nao?  I figured we could use the money so, yeah," she said with a nod to her partner.  All they had to do was babysit these brats and to make sure they come back safely.  Shouldn't be too hard, right?  But Anastasia shrugged her shoulders.  "No idea where they need to go.  I'm sure they'll take us where they need to go, I'm assuming," she said before turning her head towards the children as they gave a nod.

Then there was another tingling sensation as a very large busted woman landing on the airship pad just as the SS Myrmidon shut it's engines down.  Ana had brought some of her pirates to man the ship in her absence, so the crew started to moor down the ship before going on shore leave.  Taliya turned her head towards Lynn before her eyes sparkled.  Her eyes fixated straight to Lynn's breasts before quickly running up to her before coming to a screeching halt for a moment.  The guardian beast that belonged to Lynn could be a problem and may maul Taliya, but in Taliya's mind, it would be worth it.

In an instant, Taliya vanished from view only to appear directly behind Lynn with a handful of her breasts.  "Holy crap!  A human with boobs bigger than mine," she shouted out as she groped Lynn playfully.  This caused Anastasia to slap her forehead in annoyance.  "Taliya, leave her boobs alone," she said before speaking under her breath, "Freakin' pervert," she grumbled out before Taliya quickly moved out of the way to prevent a mauling from the large creature she had with her and fled to behind Anastasia.

"Why can't your breasts be that big?" Taliya asked before a fist with the force of 10 lbs of TNT slammed directly to the top of Taliya's head, causing her to faceplant on the ground before them.  Clearing her throat and regaining her composure, Ana looked back to the two children who looked on in awe.

"So, where to now?  It seems like we're all here," she said with no response.  She repeated this once more with no response.  She snapped her fingers and elevated her voice for a third attempt only for them to snap out simultaneously and look towards Ana.  The girl was enthralled in how adorable Charlie was in his child-like state while the boy's eyes shifted between Taliya's breasts and Lynn's breasts.  Typical for a teenager.

"Oh!  Right, sorry about that," the boy said before clearing his throat.  "Well, there were rumors of something absolutely threatening to our existence in Fiore so me and Yuka here decided that we should investigate.  We found the source of the threat here in Motor City.  We knew we couldn't do this by ourselves so we enlisted all of your help to take down this menace," he said confidently.

"Yes.  My brother and I want to, one day, join the Rune Knights and help more people.  But something has been causing people to just vanish into thin air.  We don't necessarily know what it is that is causing the people to disappear, but I'm sure with all of your help, you all could help us solve this mystery," Yuka ended up saying with a smile and a nod.

"Detective work, huh?" Taliya asked Anastasia, flipping some of her long fluffy hair over her shoulder, swishing her large fluffy tail back and forth.

"Lead the way," Ana stated before holding her hand out.  As far as she is concerned, the leaders of this rag-tag group are the children who called them here.  Ana will act as a subordinate until the time comes that she needs to assume command.  Oh, and assume command she will.

The young ones didn’t seem to mind the gryphon at all, and were in fact happy that there was someone more little than they were. Their confidence was boosted and their mood lifted as his pet ran around and tripped over his own feet again and again. For an eternal living being, Charlie was still incredibly clumsy when it came to his child form.

He was greeted by Ana and Taliya as he got off the ship, giving him a wave as they asked if he was ready to earn some money. He nodded slowly in agreement, taking a look at the two kids who were playing with his pet.

”Yeah it’s always good to go out and help people in need, especially when the pay seems to be pretty decent. Charlie needs to have his wings looked at to see if there are ways to improve his strength. The age shifting doesn’t really help with bone density and muscle strength…”

He didn’t actually see Lynn land until he heard her footsteps land on the landing strip. He turned to have a look at her and gauge who she was, and made a quick assessment of her as she spoke to them. She had coloured hair, and the smell of smoke ascended from her and into the nostrils of the slayer.  The combination of this and the clothing she seemed to wear, and the fact that this was in Motor City could only make him assume one thing about her.

She’s one of those biker gang people isn’t she? Nao thought to himself as he kept an eye on her as she spoke to them about doing the job, and her pet. Charlie on the other hand would run straight up to the pet that was currently towering over his little child figure. They were almost like kin, only one had a cat head and the other a bird head.

At that point Taliya also joined in rushing and greeting the new girl, complimenting her on her body before being knocked to the floor by Ana. The water mage would wince at the site of her hitting the floor hard.

”It’s nice to meet you Lynn and erm… Leon Zlatan?” he tried to internalise the name for a moment before continuing. ”We had only just got here ourselves. Seems like we’re all set then!” Nao would then turn to the kids: One with the oversized mace, and the one with the sword. Though he called them kids, they looked roughly in their mid teens… But when it came to anyone in this land a fifty year old could look in their late teens…

”Right then. We’re here to take care of you whenever you’re ready. Make sure you stick by us, and don’t go fighting anything by yourselves. My magic might involve healing you in some ways, but I can’t always keep up with it.”

At that point Kenta, the young man, would draw his sword and keep it out. “I’m sure you’ll keep us safe through this. Just remember we’re here to practice to become Rune Knights someday!” Nao didn’t dare mention that the Rune Knights were dwindling in numbers and that a new group of vigilantes who were commissioned by the King of Fiore was being set up. He also noticed that the girl was in thought or something, and that she didn’t seem to really mind not talking.

He would just sigh, and motion for Charlie to come back to him. The gryphon would run back to the slayer as he began to walk in a direction of Motor City.

”Lets just find… what is it we’re trying to find here again?” he asked the group as he began to set off. He wasn’t entirely sure what the threat was.

“It’s Motor City. It’s going to be a giant robot of some sort,” the girl said, pointing in the direction of a load of buildings. “It must be over there, and we cannot see it because of all the high rises.” As soon as Yuka mentioned it, Kenta began to walk a bit quicker, much to the disagreement of Nao.

”H-hey!” he shouted, before running after the swordsman, followed by Charlie, and whoever else was going to go after Kenta. After all they had no clue on what they were actually getting themselves into at this rate.

The first thing that happened was that the light haired person with quite a large bust came behind Lynn to grope her breasts, causing her to blush madly with embarrassment. Who was that!? She almost exploded with anger for being humiliated in front of her new job partners. The only thing that kept her from doing so was the fact that she was here for a job and exploding before doing anything was not going to help at all. She inhaled deeply as she blinked at Ana who was standing right in front of her, her eyes wide. She did not know how to respond to this action so she just remained calm until the girl stopped. Apparently her name was Taliya, but she was not on the list of people who would be tackling the job so could she be a pet of someone? Maybe Ana? Zlatan was ordered not to attack anyone in this group of course, which is why he kept him from tearing Taliya up into shreds. Clearing her throat as the girl had gone back to Ana’s side and was actually blasted to the ground, Lynn’s eyes bulged out once more. “Um,” she started, then stopped, not sure what to do anymore, so she just adjusted her top so it did not look like she was just groped.

Now that they were all ready, Lynn turned to the two kids who were daydreaming or something because Ana had to ask them twice what they wanted to do. Basically they wanted to become a part of the Rune Knights. “Tch, yeah. They’re like, extinct,” Lynn muttered for her own ears only. She did not want to destroy these kids’ dreams even though they were the most unrealistic dreams one could have. Maybe they were too absorbed with their goals that they were not aware of the almost negligible presence of the Rune Knights. Maybe it was because they were in the Motor City. This place looked like it was sort of detached from the outside world. She could feel it.

When Nao asked what exactly they were finding, the girl assured him that it was going to be some tech monster because it was Motor City after all. Lynn frowned then almost laughed. This girl was daydreaming most of the time, but suddenly contributed something to the group at the important moments. That was good in a way. Lynn also wondered how this child was able to carry this gigantic mace around with her like that. She probably got used to it with practice. Lynn could not imagine carrying something as big as that around with her everywhere she went. She would have an aching arm the next day, and after doing it for a while have her arm literally drop down from her torso. Now they were just following the two kids who kind of seemed to know the way. At least they were more familiar with this place than the rest of them. This was literally the first time Lynn had been here, and it felt very...techy? She wondered if Ana or Nao had been here. Speaking of, she did not even ask them what kind of magic they used! That was a shame. She probably should ask them while walking.

    Did someone say Robots?
    *drools*

Anastasia could be seen drooling upon the question that Nao asked being answered.  It seemed that the scourge of this job may as well be a large mechanized creature.  Oh, the things she could do to that machine.  So much she could learn!  So much she could do upon disassembling it!  So much she can do with just tearing it apart and putting it back together again!  New methods of machinery!  The possibilities are endless.  However, it's unfortunate, but she's probably going to have to take-in this robotic monstrosity, if it comes to pass that it was a robotic terror, in as an Einherjar.  How is it possible since machines don't have a soul?  Reasons.

Snapping out of it when she noticed everyone running away.  Ana looked to Taliya for a moment before Taliya rolled her eyes and prepared herself for a piggy-back ride.  Anastasia doesn't have the leg-strength or the endurance for long distance running, so she had to rely on Taliya for the transportation.  While she is generally pretty strong in her mechanized armor, it's a completely different animal when compared to actual running.  Mounting Taliya's back, Taliya gripped Ana firmly before she began to run forward, causing Ana to jerk backwards with the momentum.  A little 'urgh' in sheer terror came from Anastasia as Taliya's extremely quick speed caught Ana off-guard and startled her.

Taliya ran forward, eventually catching up to the group.  The Fire Moth ended up keeping stride the entire time.  Ana's hair, on the other hand looked frazzled and burnt out due to the friction of the air moving around her.  She also looked quite worn out from the short distance.  It wasn't that she exerted the energy, but the speed was a little much for her.  It was like going from 0 - 7 Gs in an instant.  "Give me a warning next time, Taliya," she said before dry-heaving.  She leaned her forehead upon Taliya's back.

Taliya caught up with the super excited boy before turning to look at him, her breasts bouncing as she ran.  This caught the boy's attention causing him to slip and fall to the ground, stumbling over his own two feet.  This caused Taliya to come to a screeching stop before running over towards the boy, leaning over to see if he was alright.  With a grumble, the boy rubbed his face and moved his head up, getting a face-full of breasts.  Like the tease Taliya was, she gave him a goofy little grin with a "Hey~~~!"

Recoiling back, the boy stopped and collected himself.  His face was still a bright red color, forcing him to look away from Taliya's breasts for a moment.  "So, what exactly are we doing kid?  We aren't going to just rush into battle, are we?  I friggin' hope not," Ana said feeling like absolute crap.  Asking Taliya to become her transport was a stupid idea, but she had no other way to run around.

"We had been given a lead that whatever is causing problems with the town is coming from one of the major mobile weapons manufacturers here in Motor City," he said as he rubbed his nose, now red from scraping along the ground.  It was at this time that his sister and any stragglers would catch up to hear his plan.  "There are two weapons manufacturers here.  Titan Technologies and T.A.E Industries.  The problem is, we don't know which weapon manufacturer it is right now," the boy said with a grumble, turning his eyes towards Taliya for a moment, then towards Lynn for a moment, and then looked up into the sky to keep his eyes away from the massive swinging breasts that this job consisted of.

"So, where do you want to start, kid?" Anastasia asked before swallowing hard.  It seemed the group were headed towards T.A.E Industries; but Ana doesn't know that as she's not too familiar with Motor City.

"I kinda want to snoop around, maybe do something sneaky," the boy said before turning to look towards his sister for confirmation, only for him to be given a shrug and a nod.  He then looks towards Nao and Lynn for confirmation.  Ana simple gives a grumble and a, "Whatever," as her stomach was starting to settle.

"But which company?" the sister asked before the boy looked towards the group.  Ana, once again, responded with "I don't care~~"

Post by Nao on 13th July 2016, 2:50 pm

Chasing after the boy didn’t take too much effort to catch up with him. He was just a young lad, and Nao was one of the stronger mages in Fiore now (at least that was what he thought. Compared to the guildmaster of Infinity Hydra, and some others he had met it was a different story).

He was able to quickly make a water wall in front of the boy to stop him from going anywhere else without them, especially his little sister who had to drag a giant mace around in an almost comical fashion.

”Hey we’ll get to the fighting later,” he shouted ahead as the rest of the group finally made it, including Ana and Taliya who seemed to distract the boy with adolescent feelings. He tripped and slipped to the ground as Taliya seemed to just happily move over to him and check on him in a very odd way. All Nao could do was tilt his head in confusion, before he dispersed the water into vapour away from them. This seemed to be more of Taliya’s expertise to get the boy to stop and think for a second, and she seemed to be enjoying it too so he just left them to it. Instead Nao would make sure that they were safe by keeping his eyes around the clearing for any signs of enemies.

He kept listen while looking around, listening to Ana talk to the boy while he kept watch. Charlie would keep near the young girl to keep her company while her brother was spoken to about where they were going. There was something about two different companies that were based in this city. He didn’t really know too much about Motor City or the technology that they had here. He only knew what he knew from when he was younger… he thought. He couldn’t quite remember where he learned any of his information really. He just knew it.

”So snooping around huh? Doesn’t sound too much like how the Rune Knights would go about anything. I guess the magic council should have some kind of black ops or agent team to assign on particularly dangerous mages but… eh… The way mages can feel the auras of other mages? Completely pointless.” Maybe there would be a mage that could conceal his or her aura, but he couldn’t really think of anyone in mind.

”So does anyone know much about either of these two companies? Can we come up with some kind of plan of action before we go in there? I’d prefer that we have some idea of what we are doing before we go running off again.” Nao gave the boy a glance, before turning to Ana and Lynn.

”Since we’re assigned to this job, maybe we should tell each other some of our abilities. For instance I’m the current water dra-“ He felt a nudge from Charlie and a chirp, before the gryphon tilted his head. ”You okay down there little one?” He proceeded to continue.

”Charlie and I are pretty good at controlling weather. I also can control the water around me, and within people. I’ll be useful in infiltration since I can turn into water and bend it to any shape. But I don’t know what else we can do… I mean I know your skills Ana… but it might be good to lay them out so we can come up with something.” He looked up and away from the group in thought for a moment. His green eyes trying to assist in helping his brain think of a plan with what they had currently… It wasn’t a lot in his opinion, but he figured that once they all lay out their skills. Then he realised he forgot another part of his magic.

”Oh! I can also bend time a little bit, though I often forget that part of my magical ability. I shouldn’t since both water and time flows...” He made an awkward laugh, before sighing. ”So… a plan right?”

As expected the small boy could not stop being so distracted by the elder women's...though Lynn was not sure if Taliya could be counted as a woman...breasts. Lynn cleared her throat whenever he stole a look at her breasts, raising an eyebrow at him as well so he looked away with a face as red as the color of tomatoes. It was amusing to watch, but it was not the best idea to let them keep staring at your breasts. In fact, the boy should not even be seeing such a thing. Too bad Lynn did not like to wear concealing clothes. She liked to be exposed. Not because she liked to show off, by the way. So right now they seemed to be coming up with a plan. Since they were moving quite fast, Lynn decided to ride Zlatan so she could catch up. She did not feel like losing energy trying to catch up with them. She had to save them to face their enemies, if there were more than one. She heard Nao telling the boy that it was not very like a Rune Knight to be sneaky. Were Rune Knights really not sneaky? Could they do everything without being sneaky? Clearly Lynn had no clue what a Rune Knight’s daily routine was like, but there must be some time that they had to be sneaky for example when they were going on secret operations? There were plenty of situations in which a Rune Knight could be sneaky, so she wondered why Nao drew that conclusion. It was not any kind of important information to her or for the job, but it got her thinking for a while.

So now they were talking about two companies in the Motor City, namely Titan Technologies or something and T.A.E Industries. T.A.E. Tae. That would have been a very funny name if it was not a combination of initials. She also wondered what T.A.E might stand for. Technological Association Extreme? That was random. Lynn’s mind was roaming everywhere uncontrollably. All she could say to contribute to the team was absolutely nothing. The kids were doing whatever, Ana and Nao were thinking of plans on how to tackle this and Lynn was just daydreaming. Clearing her throat, she averted her attention back to the group, blinking as she tried to catch up on what they were all saying. She caught what Nao had asked, well a bit of it anyway, and said, “Uh, I’m the Ice Dragon Slayer, so I can freeze stuff?” she said, hoping that was useful information. She was not really sure what she was going to freeze. The entire industry? Obviously not. She was not that strong yet. “I guess I can do some combos with you,” she told Nao. The problem with her right now was that her mind was elsewhere, even though she was physically following them on the back of her winged lion. If she was physically and mentally here, then she would not exactly have trouble focusing on who all were talking and what they were talking about.

    Time to make
    a decision

Indecision was rampant in this job.  The children that hired them had no clue what to do while the other two seemed rather indecisive on where to go.  Clearing her throat, Ana shook her head and cleared her throat.  "Well," she said as she the other two began to introduce themselves.  She just learned something about Nao just now.  She didn't know about his ability to manipulate time and space.  This caused Anastasia to nod her head in approval.  That wasn't an ability that she knew about.  Then again, Anastasia also haven't really revealed too many of her Dragon's Howl.

Lynn then introduced herself as an Ice Dragon Slayer.  This, perhaps, was the reason why she felt this feeling of pin-pricks upon her body as the woman first introduced herself at the landing pad.  Strange how the same feeling also comes from Nao, but there's no way he became a Dragon Slayer.  Ana's eyes narrowed a bit towards Lynn for a moment.  Someone who hunts dragons were people that she couldn't necessarily care for.  She made a contract with the World's Dragon, Fafnir, to purge the world of Dragon Slayers or those that intentionally bring harm to dragons.  It was her job to kill those that indiscriminately attack dragons, but currently, Lynn probably wasn't one of those slayers and they were currently in the middle of a job.

"We're going to check Titan Industries," she stated with a grumble.  The children looked towards Anastasia inquisitively.  "Are you sure?  They seem very--" the younger sister said as Anastasia responded.  "Yes, Titan Industries," she mentioned.  They were a rival company who opposed her father's company.  If any company was doing shady weapons creation, Ana felt like it would be them.

Ana stepped down off of Taliya's back and regained her composure.  "I don't care about their security.  I know this company pretty well and they have a bad habit of doing bad things to include human experimentation and bio-tech," she said with a grumble.  Anastasia stomped over towards where Titan Industries Headquarters were.

"You know where they are?" shouted the boy as he followed after Nao, with Taliya following slowly behind.  The sister stayed with Nao and almost clung to him, waiting for him to move.  "I can't believe these losers are implicated in this," she grumbled as she continued to move forward towards the gate of the company.

After approaching the gate towards the company's headquarters, she was quickly stopped by the guards at the gate of the facility.  "Halt, who goes there," shouted one of the guards.  Now this begs the question of whether or not Ana and crew would try to sneak their way in using lies and deception or to just break on through towards the inside of the facility.

"Let us through," Anastasia stated before the guards, who were armed with assault rifles simply shook their heads.  "Not unless you have an appointment or show us your clearance to enter," spoke one of the guards.  Impatience started to grow within Anastasia.  "Actually, you could probably help," she stated.

"Have you seen anything strange happening here?"

So their partner was an Ice Dragon Slayer huh? The power that Nao could never harness despite all his might with his water. No matter how hard he tried to freeze his water, the viscosity of it would never become that of actually frozen. He was curious to actually see how her power actually worked in all of this, and in fact he was a little delighted to see that there was another slayer besides him around. He didn’t feel as bad for the fact that their magics were all about doing more damage to lizard kind. However, there seemed to be a little… tension afterwards from Ana. Maybe she felt like she knew more than she was suggesting? He wasn’t really very good at reading people.

Ana then seemed very insistent on visiting one place rather than any others despite the children’s questioning and almost protests on the matter. He would just agree with her at this point, for he knew that any opposition he would try and make would be struck down very quickly. And any lead was as good as any other at this point, seeing as Ana was really good with her technology that maybe she knew more about Motor City than he and this motor head chick next to them.

He watched her get off Taliya, and begin to move towards their headquarters without giving any hint of a plan. And before Nao could protest his arm was slightly clung to by the little sister, grumbling something about losers being involved in this.

”Lets not be hasty,” Nao suggested, looking up at the headquarters in front of them. ”We have a load of different places to visit tonight, and if we are going to find the right place then we need to make sure we are thorough. I think Ana is just a little bias towards this one… just an inkling, you know?” She didn’t know, and instead would go with her brother as he followed them.

Nao would look to Lynn, shrugging towards the group that was ahead of them. They were keen for action, and in Nao’s opinion the action was going to lead to some very silly mistakes.

”Don’t mind her,” he said, looking towards Ana, ”She can be bossy and moody but she’s caring about her team mates… Though I didn’t think she’d get this moody.” He smiled and carried on walking a little bit. ”But we slayers have got to stick together in this world huh?” Maybe that was true since there was a stigma in some cases where slayers were both used for bad and good. People didn’t really like them all that much in the end, and since a lot of them boasted about their magic they were a target for attacks.

As Ana approached the guards and began to ask questions, he looked her up and down, trying to work out who she even was.

That’s classified information, ma’am, and I’m afraid you’re not someone I should classify that to.“ The young boy decided to push in, trying to use his Rune Knight prowess to get his way here.

“Actually we are here by orders of the Rune Knights on a disturbance in this area, and we would very much appreciate you giving us information on what is now a crime scene.” He would attempt to reason with the guards, hoping that someone would fall for the bluff.

Lynn was almost disappointed with how the kids had no idea of what they were doing, where they were going, and what choice to make. It seemed they had to choose from two of the industries mentioned, but they had no clue on which would be the one that was possibly doing the bad stuff. The Ice Dragon Slayer kept her mouth shut, since she had never been to Motor City on a job. She knew nothing of the industries they talked about, so she had no suggestion to offer. In fact, she felt even more clueless than the kids. Following the group as she just observed the surrounding, Lynn’s attention was caught by Anastasia’s sudden decision of going to the one called Titan Industries. It was definitely a surprise. Lynn wondered if Ana knew about the industry, or she was just making a blind choice so they did not walk around aimlessly. What surprised Lynn even more was the fact that she knew exactly where to go. Lynn followed Ana’s lead, along with the rest, to the location of Titan Industries. Nao then told her not to mind Ana and that she can be moody and bossy. With a smile, Lynn said, “I don’t mind at all. Besides it’s good that for once I’m not the one making the decisions.” It was true. She was usually the one who told her job partners what to do. But because of lack of knowledge of the current location, Lynn could not do this. She was glad that Ana was taking the lead this time.

Once at the entrance of Titan Industries, they were met by guards of course, and questioned their business here. Ana told them to let them through, but the guard did not allow this, so she chose to ask a question which could not be answered as well. Lynn frowned, folding her arms. She wondered if the best thing to do was to just storm their way in, but the entrance led to a gigantic establishment that was probably guarded by a thousand more guards, so it was too risky. They had to be careful since the beginning. The guard had said that the answer to Ana’s question was ‘classified information’, which meant that strange things had clearly been going on around here. As Lynn was thinking about this, the young boy had gone up to the guard and told him that they were here by the order of the Rune Knights. The ice wizard’s head snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the boy, then up at the guard with a cold stare. The guard seemed to have taken the cold stare a bit too seriously since he nodded at Lynn - who held her gaze - then turned to the other guard. The gates slowly creaked open and they were allowed to inspect Titan Industries by the fake order of the Rune Knights. Magic was not involved in changing the mind of the guard, but the power of deceptive looks.

    Ya Damn Right!
    Titan Industries was Shady AF

And the power of looks compelled the guards to let them in.  Ana's rather annoyed disposition remained.  She didn't trust Titan Heavy Industries and she had this strange inkling that these were the bastards responsible for the 'rise of the new threat' that was rumored to be circulating around Fiore.  It might be biased towards Titan Heavy, but she had that feeling in her gut that they were behind it all.  Why wouldn't they?  They dabbled in some really dark stuff like bio-engineering and even creating chimera.

Upon being let in, Ana shot a look that could kill the guards.  In a mocking manner, Taliya did the same, except adding the 'I'm watching you' hand gestures before the two made their way through the gates.  After the group walked inside, one of the guards pulled out an iLac and spoke into it in a hushed tone.  "Code 3, Code 3," before hanging up his iLac.

As the group walked into the actual, massive facility, everything seemed extremely clean and extremely high tech.  A stark contrast to how Isayev Heavy Industries appears.  Isayev Heavy Industries looked grungy and steam-punk in appearance.  Anastasia's father's company was more about the work and the quality of work than the appearance of the facility.  While it is kept clean and safe, it doesn't look futuristic in nature like Titan Heavy Industries does.

As the group entered the facility, they are met by an official-looking woman wearing a pencil-skirt and a glasses upon her face.  She had a clipboard in her arms, pressed up against her chest.  "Well, you are the Rune Knight Examiners here for a 'surprise' inspection, are you not?" she asked with a bit of annoyance in her voice.  Her face betrayed the tone of her voice, trying to appear as professional as possible.

The boy stepped up with his sister hiding behind Nao.  "Yes, we are here to investigate a 'newly arisen threat' as it was stated.  We are here to inspect Titan Heavy Industries first before moving on to your competitors," the boy said with the woman adjusting her glasses a bit.  "Well, then, if that's the case, please follow me," she said before turning her back to the group.

She began to walk through the main hall of the facility, pointing to rooms they had available.  As she walked through, introducing the 'inspectors' around the building, something sketchy could be seen through each of the rooms.  Everyone seemed to be acting in a strange manner, as if they were acting out the entire ordeal.  As the group continued their tour, the sound of glass crashing could be heard as an employee dropped a beaker to the ground and began to clean up their liquid.

"What is in that room?" Anastasia asked.  "That's our pharmaceutical laboratory.  They are currently trying to create a new form of soap that is safe for cleaning metals, without destroying the paint and enamel," the secretary-looking woman said in response to Ana's question.

"I see," she said in response.  The group had continued the tour through the facility.  Anastasia piped in once more.  "How about your mech laboratory," she said with an annoyed look on her face.  Clearing her throat, the woman raised a brow and laughed.  "We do not have a mech laboratory.  You must have us confused with the other lab across the street," the woman said with a little grin upon her face.  With that, she turned her head and continued the tour.

~She's a terrible liar.  Something is off with these people.  They're hiding something~

It was good that Lynn was in better spirits than he was about the whole situation. Baby sitting a bunch of people wasn’t exactly what he called a thrilling time. But the time complain was to be at a much later date than right now.

While they were dealing with the guards, Nao would tend to Charlie, who was behind them and keeping watch. Charlie was always a better guard pet than any guard dog or companion out there. And could even keep people away with his powerful wings that could cause storms with just a simple flap. It was good for Nao because he was happy to eat up all the rain and stormy weather that would come his way. Speaking of…

Nao would pull out a bottle of water from his vest, and consume it quickly. If there was ever a chugging contest then he would certainly be in the top ten percent of all people who were in the competition.

He turned back around and saw the doorway was clear. Whatever the kid did seemed to work. Maybe he did have the chops to become part of the Rune Knights after all. He didn’t realise it was actually Lynn’s icy cold stare that pierced through the man and let them in.

”Hey not bad kid, not bad at all,” he said to the young lad as they began to walk in through the gates of the complex. Somehow they were now in the belly of the beast. Hopefully they would find what they were looking for here in the middle of this giant tech… giant? How would you phrase such a thing really?

Everything just seemed a little too clean for his liking. If people were there cleaning that rigorously then it was an obvious cover up because they were actually not doing any work here and that it was all just a set up! That must have been it.

”This just seems a little… off you know?” he whispered to the group as they began to walk over to the receptionist who was well aware of why they were here. It was funny that they weren’t asked for any proof other than that this kid said Rune Knights. Did they hold that much sway here?

Nao followed along the group, keeping well behind Ana and almost dawdling to see if he could get quick glances around the place.

I’m not sure they really do much here he thought to himself, keeping his looks casual and yet trying to remember every detail. If only he had his old eye magical powers back… Maybe she’s right, maybe they don’t do mech work here at all.

Nao’s nose was picking up a faint scent of something mixed with the soapy smells that caked the building. There was no way to hide such a smell from a slayer, but he couldn’t quite put his mind to what it actually was at all. Instead he would just keep an eyes on what was going on ahead, along with the kids they were baby sitting.

”So I got a question: Why are you making soaps for cleaning metals without destroying paint? That doesn’t seem like a lucrative business idea unless it was something else… right?”

As they entered, a very disappointed looking woman came to their side, asking if they were the Rune Knights inspecting the place. Even though she probably tried to look less annoyed, the expression on her face betrayed her. Every word she said held a bit of annoyance and it was too obvious to ignore. If Lynn was not trying to look serious and all, she would have laughed at how miserably this woman was failing at doing her job. She took them on a tour around the place and the first thing they stopped at was a room where they were making some kind of special soap. Since Lynn was not too talented in these areas, she only looked inside once, then continued following the group. All she was doing was keeping a straight face not to screw themselves up. She could not hide the surprise on her face when the woman did not question any further when the little boy told them that they were truly Rune Knights here for inspection. She would have asked more if she was the woman. A small boy in the Rune Knights? Maybe she was too scared to ask or something. Too scared that she might blow her cover?

They kept walking and walking, Lynn basically just following them because she had never been in a place like this and everything was too clean she felt like she was some kind of germ making the place dirty. Then Ana decided to ask where the ‘mech laboratory’ was, which caught Lynn’s attention. She snapped up her head to check the woman who then said something that sounded a hundred percent like a lie. They did not have one. Lynn was not a big fan of all this mechanical shit nor did she know what was done in a mech laboratory but the way that the woman had said it told her that something definitely was wrong here, not that she knew where to start suspecting, but it was definitely sketchy. Nao decided to ask a question too. At this point, the woman looked like she wanted to run away or blow up on the spot. She stopped walking altogether, fixing her glasses on the bridge of her nose as she cleared her throat to say something that Lynn could already tell was another big fat lie.

    Ya Damn Right!
    Titan Industries was Shady AF

Nao asked a very curious question, causing the woman to stop and turn her head towards him, causing her pony tail to swing over her shoulder with a flirtatious look in her eyes.  She looked him up and down casually for a moment.  "Well, you're right, it isn't a very lucrative business.  Though, we do develop these things for Airship corporations and even some mech corporations to include Isayev Heavy Industries," the woman said with a sly grin upon her face as she turned to look towards Anastasia.  All Anastasia did was shoot a glare back at the condescending woman.

She readjusted her glasses back up her nose and turned around. "Now if you all have no further questions, I'd rather we continued this tour," she said before she walked the rest of the group throughout the laboratory.  The boy, Kenta, moved over towards Ana and nudged her side a bit. "Something about this lady is extremely fishy.  I don't like the way she smiles after telling a lie," Kenta said with Anastasia returning a nod in his direction.  "This place has that mechanical monster that you were talking about earlier, I guarantee it," she whispered back towards Kenta.  She already had a bitter dislike of Titan Heavy Industries.

The fact that she knew who Anastasia was also made things a bit more on-edge than usual.  Perhaps this woman believed she is using the guise of being with 2 Rune Knights for corporate espionage?  If that was what she believed in, a well-known face like Ana's wouldn't be caught dead doing corporate espionage; especially not against a company that could be seen as an unethical competitor to her father's company.

The woman lead the group to a door with a card key.  Before the woman grabbed her card key, Anastasia spoke up.  "Hey, hold on there a second.  Where are you taking us?  Places like this are usually not for the general public," Ana said.  Suspicion continued to rise as this woman's actions are getting more and more strange by the moment.

"Of course, but I need to show the Rune Knights every part of our lab, right?  After all, this is part of the inspection, hmm?" she asked with the same strange grin upon her face.  Ana didn't have a response for what she had to say.  The woman slid her card and right at that moment, something felt very strange to Anastasia.  A strange vibration came from when she slid the card.  A nauseous feeling in her gut and blurring of her vision happened.  Was this some form of premonition or was the paranoia starting to get to her?  Ana shook her head with Taliya asking if she was alright.  A nod was give in response as the woman opened the door and held it open for everyone.

"Well, after you," she said as she held the door open to yet another hallway.  For those with a strong sense of smell, the smell of metal and oil could be picked up by their noses.  Taliya sensed it, causing her to cover her nose.  "I smell something faintly familiar, Ana," she said as she continued to hold The Fire Moth like an American Football in her left arm.

"Whatever it is, I have a feeling we're getting closer to it.  Let's try to act as natural as we can until we get to the bottom of this," she said in hushed tones.  With the door opened, Anastasia walked through followed by Kenta and Taliya.  The other two mages should be following suit as well.

Post by Nao on 16th October 2016, 1:50 pm

Nao was perplexed that an industry that Ana’s father and her ran needed to have imports from companies here in Motor City. He wasn’t sure why someone who was as “clever” as Ana even needed to get anything sub contracted over from another company. But she seemed to respond to her pretty quickly so it must have been pretty accurate. Weird that these mechs needed soap like they needed baths or anything. He would give it a small thought for a little while before continuing to follow them but with just as much caution as he could feel from the others around him.

Everyone seemed to be on edge, even the women giving them the guide seemed to be on edge just as much as they were. But it felt different to what he was experiencing by watching their group moving forward through this facility. He couldn’t help but give out an awkward cough which could alert the group of how he was feeling. It was a little wheezy, and shaky, covered by a fist up to his lips. This was sure to alert them of the feelings he was getting from this place without alerting others to their little predicament.

Nao listened closely to the conversation between Kenta and Ana over what was going on. His slayer ears were always just a little bit sharper than any other person’s. He wasn’t the only one feeling uneasy as they walked through the corridors. At least he didn’t feel too bad about being on edge. He would just keep following behind and listening to them.

Charlie would follow behind him, before rushing forward and pulling him onto the creature’s back. Nao jumped for a moment before nodding. Something was coming up, and he wasn’t entirely sure what it was. Charlie could feel something that he wasn’t too sure. But as long as they kept up close then it wouldn’t matter.

The lady had noticed this and had hurried them along through to a carded area. They would be escorted through first before smelling a smell of oil and other mechanical smells would waft through everyone’s noses. It smelled pretty awful in the room, but apparently this was the way to go.

Nao would follow through with everyone else, just as cautious about what was going on. Though this room seemed to really juxtapose the rest of the building with its cleanliness… so why was this one different. Unless it was all a fron-

The door would swiftly shgut behind them as the last of them entered without the lady escorting them. It seemed locked from this side too as Nao and Charle tried to charge at the door but it seemed to no avail. It was a trap all along.

”Ah crap she managed to get us out of the way for the time being. It looks like they’re going to try and destroy any evidence of any kind of dark work… including removing us.” He pointed to the junk in front of him that began to twitch and the servos clanking against the insides of the robots.

”Get ready Charlie,” he said to the gryphon as the two took to the air. It wasn’t a large room. The hallway was cramped but this gave the group an opportunity to hold their ground without getting in the way of each other. ”They look tough!”

The robots began to slowly make their way over, limping and twitching with their old part that must have been scrap metal. They didn’t seem very fast but metal did take a lot of damage and when it hit you at anything above 2 mph it did hurt.

Nao would fire a large searing torrent, using the splash effect to hit all the robots coming at him. The damage would be hardly effecting against the hulking metal creatures but at least they would be taking a bit more damage as the heat caused the metal to become more malleable… That’s how it worked right?

He gritted his teeth as Charlie flapped his wings, causing them to send out sparks of lightning. It would hit the first one and cause a small shock, pausing it for a moment before continuing on.

”Ah crap,” Nao would shout, before pulling out a bottle of water and guzzling it. He would wipe his mouth as he looked at them getting closer. ”What the hell are these things made of?!” He wondered what he was going to do about them as they kept moving closer and closer.

”Charlie try another shock on them!” he made his gryphon strike again with lighting to cause it to pause once more. ”So it wasn’t just a fluke, it really is weak to lightning…” He knew Charlie couldn’t keep up with attacking constantly like that but he figured it would be a hint to Lynn and Ana about how they should at least slow them down.

Lynn tried to keep as quiet as she could, mostly because she had no clue what the say, plus she didn’t need to say anything anyway because both Anastasia and Nao were speaking, asking the lady and making curious observations about Titan Heavy Industries. The lady tried her best to look like she was stating facts instead of blurting random bullshit to make it look believable, and if Lynn had no experience with liars at all, she would have fallen for her words since they entered. Kenta, despite the fact that he was still a kid, was able to tell truth from lies, making sure of his assumptions by speaking his mind to Anastasia who explained that the mechanical monster was definitely here. Lynn couldn’t agree more. With how shady the woman was in all her actions, there was no denying it. A few moments later they were brought to a door that required a card key to be opened. Anastasia spoke on behalf of all of them when she asked where the lady was taking them and that these kind of places weren’t usually allowed to be seen by the public. The lady, however, replied by saying that she was just simply trying to show them every part of the place since it was her job. After all, they were under inspection by the supposed ‘Rune Knights’. Once the door was open, a slight disturbance in the air around them could be felt. Lynn almost grunted since her slayer senses picked up more than what the normal human senses could. She wondered if Nao felt the same. With a mind full of doubt and paranoia, Lynn followed the rest inside while the lady waited outside...and didn’t follow them in. “It’s a trap,” said the Ice Dragon Slayer, stating the obvious.

So her plan all along, was to lead them all the way in, into the most secure room(?) she could think of, and eliminate them all at once to get rid of any sort of evidence this whole thing ever happened. Smart. Not really. She forgot to add, in her calculations, the fact that her captives included three A-rank mages and two younger mages - one having great swordsman skills and another wielding a powerful weapon. Also the fact that doors had hinges and hinges could be broken. But first, to tend to their initial threat, five machines of average size with no weapons or anything. They probably used physical combat techniques. Since Nao was in front of her and closer to their adversaries, he was the one to begin attacking them. It wasn’t enough. Encasing three of the troopers in ice, beginning from their legs, Lynn made it so that the ice would grow over the rest of their bodies and eventually completely cover them in ice. The final step would be when the ice crushed, together with the trooper’s mechanical body parts. She wasn’t exactly sure if they bodies of these troopers were made to be this weak, but it was worth a try. Nao would be handling the others with some lightning technique that seemed to be working. It wasn’t the end of these troopers, apparently, since five more after the original five appeared behind them.
