    Was It... Worth it? [TAK/Job]

Post by King Elyx on 2nd June 2016, 2:07 pm

    Job:

    Job Name: Sacrifice
    Job Rank: S Rank
Job Requirements: Either 1 S ranked mage only, 2 A ranked mages, max of 3 mages may participate.. 60 posts of 500 words. In the end, rescue Kenta and Yuka and defeat Mecha Project: Genocide.

*Note: You may only 1 monster dice per post.*
Type of job: One time only
    Job Location: Motor City
Job Description: Kenta, a young swordsman with excellent fighting abilities. His swordplay is unmatched among even the highest of mages. This is due to his magic being designed to enhance that swordplay. For example, he is able to increase his speed and awareness while he holds the weapon that he does. He might need to increase his attack speed to string his combos, or maybe pull back his weapon when it is out of his reach. Swordplay magic is heavily reliant on the blade that the user has, and without that sword, they are next to nothing in combat. With 17 years of life in him, he has dedicated his whole life around training to become a better mage, and making sure his 15 year old sister is safe as well. A very caring brother, a great ally, a versatile strategist, yet he is not the brightest when it comes to priorities. Though he means well, the risks he takes for the smallest things are not worth the trouble, and he may place those who are with him in danger. While working with him, you may experience a little difficulty while keeping him in check. He can take 10 S ranked hits before being knocked out of commission. Every hit he lands deals S ranked damage.

Yuka, little sister of Kenta. She doesn't really care to use magic, but instead, carry around a giant mace and wipe out loads of enemies with one giant swing of it. This being said, she is not very good with defenses, and even less at evasion. A berserker might not be the best term for her either, since her attack speed is not that high either. This is due to the heavy weight of her mace. Though she may not be the most useful in combat, she is a rather bright child as well as innocent. She knows how to speak to others in a way to obtain information, she can calculate distances and analyze possible scenarios like no other. This young lady is even capable to keeping track of time with her head. For example, she knows how long she has been living by the minute. She isn't as risky or desperate as her brother, nor does she feel that she needs much protection while her mace is by her side. Though a little bit carefree and playful since she just barely got out of being a child, she is important for cases in which one must heavily think. She can take 5 S ranked hits before being knocked out of commission. Every hit she lands inflicts 2 S ranked hits.

There is a new threat in the land of Fiore, and the traces of it come from the core of Motor City. Kenta and Yuka thought it would be a great chance to practice fighting alongside a few mages, since they want to become Rune Knights when they grow up. So they decided to put up a job application all around in order to at least have one other mage assist them. The goal for them is to investigate and possibly eliminate this threat. Your objective is to guard them, making sure that the both of them come out of this alive, and destroy the source of all of the new threat before it causes anymore havoc. However, don't expect things to go as planned, there is no data on the new threat except for the fact that it has taken countless numbers of lives already. This can't be proven either, since they just go missing, no evidence of their deaths either. All the missing people seem to connect to one final result, and one cause only. Investigate Motor City and finish the job not many have been able to.

    Enemies:
Weak: Disturbance: The air around you begins to vibrate, messing with your senses. A weird feeling as you are getting closer to the cause of all the trouble. Keep walking, don't let it bother you. It doesn't really do anything to you, nothing too crucial and out of the ordinary.

Normal: Nexile Troops (5x): Machines that are nothing too special in combat. They only appear while you are very near, and they will guard their master at all costs. They are very resistant to attacks, since they were designed to be more like distractions instead of actual threats. Each one takes 3 S rank hits to defeat. Each Troop inflicts S rank damage for each hit. They are armed with their bodies only, just ramming into enemies on foot.

Strong: Sacrifice: This is where you lose someone in your party. The cost of awakening the Mecha Project is a life of a human. This is not known, and unknowingly, Kenta and Yuka will be held up into the air, surrounded by white bubbles around their body. The first bubble to be touched will pop, freeing the one inside of it out. The other will remain shut, unable to be broken, and after a few seconds, will shatter, taking itself and everything in it out in an explosion, one designed to cut existence itself. You must choose between Yuka and Kenta.

If you chose Kenta to live: He will live, but at the sight of seeing his sister die, and the fact that he knew that you were able to save her, not really get along with you too well. After all, he did dedicate himself to protecting his little sister, and now that's gone. Though he is a much better fighter, he won't get along with you so much anymore, and will even go so far as to blame you for her demise. Don't expect him to work so well with you when fighting the Mecha Project.

If you chose Yuka to live: She will live, and at the sight of seeing her brother die, she will be heavily angered. Her skills are heavily increased in combat, and will do anything to see the Mecha Project destroyed. Her only mission is to avenge her brother, she won't be too innocent anymore. A much better ally in combat, but she won't be thinking as logically as she did before. Careful not to be in the way of her mace.

*If a Strong Monster roll is rolled already, if you roll another one, it becomes a Boss monster roll.

Boss: Mecha Project: Genocide: You have woken a sleeping giant. This machine lies within the core of Motor City, harnessing it's power from those who have lost their lives in combat with this. It was designed by Nexile, a group that wanted to build a monarch. This was a creation that was designed to be a branch for the Nexile project that becomes the monarch of the world. Mecha Project: Genocide, has five rankings based on the number lives it has taken away. You found it at it's final stage, lucky you. This machine has placed over 4,500 people to their graves while in combat with them. Now it's up to you to destroy such a machine. This project is a humanoid sort of robot, with the same mentality and calculations that a regular human would. However, it comes armed with a variety of weapons for it to play with, as well as such thick armor for damage mitigation. It takes 25 S ranked hits to finish this machine off and destroy it, once and for all. Each hit it lands inflicts 2 S ranked hits worth of damage.

    Mech Armor Abilities:

New Life: For every 5 posts in combat, 2 S ranked hits worth of damage is healed, and the next attack to hit it will do no damage, despite the rank of the attack.

    Weapons:

The rule for Mecha Project: Genocide, is that it may have only one weapon equipped at a time.

Fortunes Treasure: A lucky blade designed to put all other enemies and allies all the same to shame. The wielder gains 50% awareness and 50% speed, allowing them to see attacks easily, then dodge them just as easily.

Headsman Ax: A two-handed weapon with a blade so sharp, it could cut into diamond like paper. This blade doubles the Mecha Project: Genocides power. So now it inflicts 4 S ranked hits instead of the regular 2.

Bound Scythe: The Scythe is reeking of death, this weapon took so many lives away. It gains the effects of the previous 2 weapons at the same time. Mecha Project: Genocide takes 1 S rank worth of damage for each post it wields this weapon.

*If this is rolled before the Strong monster dice was rolled in the thread, this roll becomes a Strong monster roll.*

Reward: In the end, you could only bring one back. The one you brought back has to accept moving on, and this experience taught them to be stronger. They will thank you for at least saving their life, regardless of how they feel. And they will reward you the amount of money that they promised.

100,000 Jewels and an Extra S rank worth of Exp.

    made by elyx

I know the Nexile. They have done some rather extreme things when creating a monarch. I heard there was a new one that went by the name, Max. His file was rather interesting, I can't see why he would be abandoned. Elyx would tell Ignite, who was looking over his shoulder to read the small sheet of paper on his desk. They were both prepared to fight whatever was causing so many deaths, though knowing the beasts that the Nexile have made before, it only gets stronger as time passes. And though they were a little unprepared, they took the job as soon as they got it. They did not need to let the monarch actually have any power. These two pay quite a decent price, eh? 100,000 jewels and I'll have its tail brought back to the clients as well. She would announce proudly, rather loudly considering she was right next to his ear. Her chin rested on his shoulder now, so damn lazy she was. Elyx would not give her any attention for that, but instead point to a certain detail that did bother him. Shackles. Yeah, but they want to come along with us. Meaning we have to protect them as well, and that job is beyond hard to deal with, no matter the difficulty of the job. He would explain, crossing his arms before leaning back against the chair he was sitting in. Or throne rather since that was what it was built to be. Ignite would get off from his shoulder before looking towards the door. Regardless, we have no time to be thinking about this. We need to find them, any idea of where they might be again?

A good question, considering the two of them had never gone to motor city. Hell, they did not even have the slightest clue of where the place might have been. They'd have to find Nimpha first, she could lead them down a path that would bring them to the city. Nimpha did not update her status as to when she might be away, so she had to be available, right? And so he would press his palms flat against the surface of the table, pushing himself onto his feet before looking over to the door. We are going to Motor City. But first, we are going to visit my old friend, Nimpha. He'd explain before walking and entering the door of his office. Ignite would follow, and the pair would travel out of the guild hall, and to the borders of Black Rose. No need to waste any time. The treasure hunter they were looking for was about thirty minutes away at walking speed. With a smile on his face, he remembered the bubbly laughed that the pinkette would emit from her lips every time she said something, followed up by a "Happy happy" or a "Lucky lucky" phrase right after the sentence. Every word she let out was sweet, and she brought great luck to herself and anyone she traveled with.

Motor city, a place filled with gear heads and the rumble of engines, if steampunk had a place within Earthland, it would be this city. The smog blanketed the sky and the various gizmo's buzzed and burst at the scene, if it weren't for the job that had brought her here, Sharp would have scouted the various stalls and shops for parts, since Chaoris seemed to really want a motorcycle for some reason. One's legs could carry them just fine, why was a motorcycle necessary? Chaoris said it was to look metal or something so Sharp wouldn't argue with him, she'd just be filled with confusion. Couldn't one simply wear a bunch of metal plates to be metal? Was he trying to ascend to another new form, one with lots of metal or something? It didn't matter, she was here for a secondary reason to getting a spankin' ride, she was here to scout a couple of kids who showed potential as followers of the blood god. Such strength probably lacked purpose, focus, and it meant that they would be wasting their lives away in this place, rather than fulfilling their true potential. Sharp was here to ensure that this never happened, and she was very thankful that the two of them had made themselves known, saved her the trouble of tracking them down, and to add to the joy apparently they were trying to stop something that was capable of mass murder, perfect Sharp could test them at the same time.

Such young and promising recruits made her walk with purpose rather than mystery. She wouldn't be stopping too much, as she didn't really know where the two of them would have started looking for the source, which was the main problem. Stuck in a foreign city with no real knowledge about it, Sharp started to question her life choices a bit, perhaps she should have gotten a map, or started asking for directions, then again would any map have directions to a mass murder location? This place wasn't ruled by Chaoris so of course it wouldn't have a mass murder location map, as sad as that was to say about the kingdom he would rule. Also yes, Sharp knew that the description told her where they were hiding, the problem was she didn't know where the streets were, which meant she would be stuck running around in circles like a gear. She supposed that she should just ask directions of someone here who at least looked like they knew what they were doing, and weren't just a grease monkey trying to extort money and time.

Where she could find such a person, however, Sharp didn't know, they were many here but none seemed clean and orderly, along with their houses and the atmosphere. It was at times like these that she was thankful she didn't have to breathe, otherwise, she would have probably inhaled poison, which would have dulled her senses further. For a warrior of her caliber this was unacceptable, well unacceptable to her at any rate, most wouldn't probably care and would be far more laid back about the whole ordeal. Still, who would be acceptable to ask for directions in this mess of a city, certainly someone out there wasn't just in it for themselves right now, right?

Of course! Lets go! The Pinkette would exclaim, an excited right fist pumped into the air. She was rather agreeable to just about anything. At least they did not have to try to negotiate with her, another redeeming trait of Nimpha's. Before they would travel however, she would hold up the point finger of her still extended right hand. One moment though. I need to get a few things just in case! And with that, she would walk back into her house. The brunette and redhead were both left there to wait for a few seconds, mainly wondering what she would like that was so important. Their question was unfortunately answered, seeing the excited treasure hunter returning back to the door. There was something in her grip, all fingers wrapped tightly on the handle of a giant metallic mallet. Er... Why would you need this again? Ignite would ask for the both of them, tilting her head towards the left and her palms placed against her sides. Nimpha would just shrug before replying happily. Because smashing monsters is fun! Well, that was a totally sane remark. Oh well, it was best to have her as an ally rather than an enemy. Bad luck comes to the enemy. How did she even plan to get that mallet through the door again? Before he could regretfully ask, he more regretfully witnessed her jumping out of sight, slamming the mallet through the roof of her house, jumping above the surface of the housing before landing on what remained of her home. Well, that was one way to do it. Those repairs were going to be costly, but what did that matter to a treasure hunter?

Well, after that nice experience, the three of them were now on their way to Motor City. So you both never been there before? Nimpha would ask, the mallet still being dragged, but only with one hand. Even then, it was just merely due to the fact that she was being lazy. Can't say we have. Care to enlighten us on what we should expect? The Sky Slayer would ask. Data was crucial for any job, and Nimpha was the number one source of it. Rumor has it that she was once considering being a reporter. But considering how that would result in a headline saying "Lucky Pink-Haired Reporter murdered mages with handshake." She did not know her own strength, so it was very likely. Nimpha placed her finger on her chin while looking upwards, thinking of a reply. Well, it's probably home of the modern day technology. Imagine Lavantir Port City having a rival, that rival would be Motor City. Plus, Motor City is not just limited to Black Rose like Lavantir. Sweet, eh? Well, that was a good bit of information to know right before they arrived. It seemed like a cool place based on what she described it as. But what if the Nexile Project made it go corrupt? All that technology would be turned against them, and if they were like Lavantir Port City... They were going to be fighting against devastating machinery.

"Look, I told ya I don't know anything about a big machine and some kids."

"But you should have seen at least something right?"

    "No, now go away."

Slamming the garage door that was to his shop, the slightly stubby man, covered in motor oil and grease, was done dealing with Sharp's insistent question. Due to the nature of the slam, Sharp figured most people would say that chivalry was dead, but since he hadn't challenge Sharp to a duel then she figured it wasn't dead, just not an exercised option. Normally she would attempt to act positively, but this was the fifth person she had attempted to ask, and none of them seemed to really know anything about this big death machine, or where the kids had gone. Sharp suspected that they were lying to her, didn't wish to try and get involved, or didn't know anything, it was one of those three options and frankly Sharp only cared if they were lying. She wished to know who her enemies were, and not to fight against shadows, for those were the enemies that showed no honor in battle and wouldn't allow Sharp to learn anything new.

Still, Sharp's attempts to try and find someone who knew the answer to her question of where common sites of such deaths and where the kids might have gone, was becoming further and further from a reality. She didn't have many options left, and was almost debating just leaving the city, or perhaps scanning from the air, but she wished to not make a big deal out of her presence, to prevent any unnecessary confusion to ensue, especially if the objects of the kids mission came to life due to it, and she surely lost them, both in location and life. Still, no one in town seemed to wish to answer her questions, and she couldn't go loud right now, or at least didn't wish to voluntarily go loud. As Sharp wandered through the streets, attempting to figure out what exactly her next course of action should be, she noticed that the crowds started to diminish in their depth, and mass. Had she wandered into a different part of town, no this was the main street she had been wandering only an hour ago, so where had all of the people gone? Strange, this was high noon right, there was still plenty of the day left over for the people to shop and to move about, no something had made them move.

Spinning upon the ground, Sharp jumped backwards as a blade slammed into the pavement. Looks like she had found her answer, before her a man who looked like he had seen far too many rock concerts was present before her, holding a sword which looked like the various forms of magitech she had seen before, but modified, for better or worse was yet to be determined.

"I hear you have been askin' questions around here about a couple of kids, and some kind of machine."

"yes I have, you wouldn't happen to have any answers pertaining to it would you?"

"The only answer I got is to silence you, you are disturbing the peace you dig? Those kids don't have any business poking around and neither do you."

"Don't throw your life away, just point me in their direction, and I won't be asking any more questions."

"See, that tough guy act is the same they put on, and I'll tell you the same thing..."

Appearing behind him were a couple of what appeared to be automatons, though they looked mostly like scrap, which meant they probably weren't related to the highly advanced killing machine that lurked in this town, well potentially anyway.

"Me and my junk bots, got you outnumbered, I'd just surrender."

"Sadly, I can't afford to back down, and I already did more than enough by even giving you a warning, if you desire to continue then..."

Drawing the hilt to her blade, she had it form, from her magical energy, the crimson hue decorating the nearby environment in its fiery ornate color.

    "...I won't be holding back."

The people began to turn away from her when they realized a familiar little pinkette with a giant mallet. But surprisingly enough, it was not the mallet that was forcing them away. They seem to be rather familiar with you Nimpha. The brunette would obviously say towards the treasure hunter. She would just turn back to him with her usual upbeat smile, confirming this to be true. I had a few unpleasant encounters here, some people can be really mean here. Nothing a little bit of bad luck can't fix, which is why they should be nice! Happy happy, and she would continue to walk. Great, so could they just ask any random stranger what was going on without the fear of them turning away? Or maybe just at least where their clients would be located. Because of this, they are running away from us before we could ask them anything. Are you sure this is such a good idea? Ignite would ask before placing her hands on her hips. Nimpha would raise a fist upwards happily as an idea would pop up in her head. We could just get some rope and tie them up you know. Bad idea. Bad... Bad idea. And just like that, the Sky Slayer would confiscate the mallet from her quickly, which resulted in her flailing for it a little bit. His punishment for messing with her like that was a bit of bad luck. The mallet was heavy... Really heavy, Nimpha had much more strength than he imagined. So as a result, he'd just drop it and let it be. There was plenty more back at Nimpha's place, knowing the optimistic treasure hunter.

"The only answer I got is to silence you"

That was plenty of reason to avert their attention towards a new scene. A young lady, and a man with so much metal on him that he probably would begin to rust. At least he had some decent boots though. We have to- SH!... Wait, not yet. We can jump in when needed, but this is their battle. We are here for answers, not war, and should avoid as much battle as we can. Nimpha would explain. It made a bit of sense, but the man talked like he had some crucial information that they needed to know. They could have him taken down with two blows at the most. What was the Treasure Hunter's aim by just waiting at the side. But she was Nimpha, and Nimpha knew more than he did. And so the three would stand by, idle, waiting for the result. There will not be a death while they were there to prevent it. I'm jumping in whenever it looks like one of them is down. He'd reply back to the Pinkette, who would just nod her head with approval. Now they were just lying in wait, hoping that the lady would win and get some answers without their interference. It was likely they would be spotted, but in the heat of battle, why would that matter? And so, the three of them would hope they would just be ignored.

The sonata of firepower from the junk bots was almost overbearing. The robots rapid fire function seemed to ripple with sophistication, Sharp was wise to guess that this man had far more advanced technology than it let on. It was probably an illusionary tactic, to make them purposefully look terrible and run down, only for their advanced components underneath to take everyone by surprise. Sharp would have checked the area around her and the bots inside with her trinket, but it wouldn't have done much good now, she was already in the middle of a fight, and an ambush, at this point, was most likely going to be magic in nature if anything, and not pre-established. This meant she would have to go off of her intuition and experience as a fighter. As the bullets came in, she saw them with increased clarity, as if her reaction time was far faster than she was used too. It threw her off for a second, but thanks to it she managed to dash to the side and dodge the bullets peppering the areas she was moving to and from. This was troubling, ever since her little regaining of emotions and what she assumed was all that she lacked, her body became far more empathetic to those around her, to the point where she could become as fast, if not a little faster than those around her. This increase to her speed and reflexes, she noticed that fights became "easier", only so long as she kept it as a bit of a surprise from her opponent, the question right now was, if the man before her was the one who had this unnatural speed, or if there was someone else nearby who had it. If it was the man she was fighting she would have to be cautious, as his weapon probably capitalized upon his speed, and held a nasty surprise within.

As the junk bots unleashed their hail of fire, the man observed Sharp's motion, his eyes struggling to keep up with her new blinding levels of speed. Reading his weapon, his trusty magitech wrench, he clicked down upon the side of the hilt and it began to charge. He had a little surprise for Sharp when she dashed in to fight him. Sure enough, as the bullets rang out and she dashed from side to side, avoiding them and spreading out the pathways of fire, Sharp tempted to locate her opening within the defenses. The hail of fire was deadly, and could bring her down if she stopped moving, but at the same time, they had a small interval when they weren't shooting. It was far faster than human with a rifle, but it was enough of a time, for her to move in and apply the correct pressure. The junk bots must have a primitive form of spacial magic applied in them, the only reason why they possibly had to 'reload' in the first place, finally she had a break. As the small window appeared, Sharp made a mad dash forward, the man's vision almost unable to keep up with her and she closed in, sword out, prepared to slice directly through him. Grasping his wrench in his hand, she slammed it down towards where she was approaching him, hoping to nail Sharp upon the head and one shot her right out of the gate. As the wrench glowed, it flipped, and a long blade came out of where the wrench's head normally would be, and the now blade gave off of a bright and static filled aura.

    "Game over."

Slamming down into Sharp, the energy pulsed forward and rippled over him and his junk bots, seemingly providing them with some form of protection. The blow upon Sharp sending her falling to the ground, out cold, or so one would believe. As her body fell down upon the ground, it faded away as if it hadn't been there in the first place. The man's ears perked up and his head twitched to his right as the junk bot to his side began to clanker, and break down, Sharp blade hitting it repeatedly till the shield and the armor fell off and upon itself, the bot's various innards spilled forward in a rush of oil and copper. Each slice created a myriad of petals, that were both beautiful and menacing to the mans eyes. Now he was the one questioning what her abilities were.

    "Impossible!"

Rushing to his right he swung towards her body just as the last blow was placed upon his junk bot, but upon slicing into her, he merely saw her body vanish into petals, just like before. Had she finished his robot off and then already moved on if that was the case then...

Turning to look behind himself, he saw her blade once against dig into the junk bot, tearing it apart in the same manner as the previous one. her speed was blinding and her abilities a mystery, well almost a mystery, she was clearly using some form of illusion to trick him into wasting his time, and giving herself enough time to finish off her prey one at a time. This was bad, he couldn't tell the difference between the two, and as she had just finished off the last of his robots, he was next on her target list. As Sharp turned to look towards him, the man charged straight for her, or at least he appeared too. Making a heel face turn the man went to swing his blade behind him, Sharp appearing there as he turned around. As his right arm fell to attempt to slice her, Sharp left hand grasped his arm from the front, and her blade came crashing down towards him. Slicing into his shield, she flipped it upside down in her hand with a flick of her wrist and drove upwards slicing through the armor, a small trail of petals emanating from his wounds as he collapsed down to the ground. He wasn't seriously wounded, but he was most likely winded from the blow, which gave her plenty of chance to kick his weapon away, and hold him down with her underneath her heel.

"You almost figured it out, you are a strong warrior, you would have landed a good blow if you had calculated multiple illusions."

Breathing heavily the man looked up towards Sharp and, snarled.

"Don't mock me just because you got a few funny tricks."

"I don't mock when it comes to a warriors spirit, now cough it up, where are they?"

"I don't know what you mean."

Slicing him upon his right arm, she didn't cut it off but the massive amount of petals would indicate Sharp didn't really cut shallow either. His scream echoed within the alleyway.

"I won't ask again, you used 'they' before, you must know something about them."

"I'd rather die than give up the information!"

    "As you wish."

Raising her sword arm Sharp would attempt to come down and slice the man's head clean off in one blow, that is unless she was stopped by something...

And so a dance would occur between the young lady and the metal laced man. Numbers were an advantage, surely, but provided none are able to capitalize and overpower an opponent, the result would just be a few more dead bodies. Naturally, the Sky Slayer had not thought of this to be the case. His strategy normally would be to divide and conquer, which is one of the reasons why he uses Celestial Spirits. However, his spirits and these robots were much different, and the man seemed to lack interaction with them in battle. It looked like a fatal game of chess, where the queen was taking down all of the pawns while the king is helplessly watching them fall, refusing to use himself in battle, but would protect himself at all costs. That's a downside that will bite him in the ass later on. He would think to himself, crossing his arms. There was key information in the man, so as of currently, they could not let him die, regardless if he deserved to or not. This was going to determine many things. What they were working for, how they fault, what their morals were, whose side they were fighting on, who is the enemy, and should he trust either of them. The man seemed to be... Mostly trustworthy. Mainly because he was blunt, and would prefer not to give the information. A respectable trait, though backed up with his prideful attitude and he'd be placed on the chopping block.

It looks like this battle is pretty much over. The Sky Slayer thought. The speed of the lady was impressive, he was not sure his own could match it. Though he did not sense as much magic from her as he expected with that sort of physical trait, as a fighter, he knew that she had more power than one could expect from her magic. So she would begin interrogation, and he was now not so sure if he were to jump in. A part of him was reluctant, telling him to jump in and let himself go into the battle. However, this was her victory and she should be given the right to do this. The other part of him to him that Nimpha would be able to get some answers out of the man, and that making him go through the pain was not necessary. The Sky Slayer decided to take a chance, placing his faith in the lady's actions. Provided things escalated way too quickly, he'll put a stop to the scene. A right palm would grip onto the handle of Bound Iris. His muscles were flexed, ready to forcibly get the sword out from the sheathe when it was needed.

The man asked for execution, a sure sign that something was going to happen. The lady seemed ready to grant him his wish. The easy way out, like hell would he let her do that. Nope. No wishes will be granted here. He'd think, Bound Iris reflecting a bit of light as it had been pulled. Sky Cloak might not even get him to teleport there fast enough. His own hope was that his legs allow him to travel fast enough. The Brunette would pounce, blurring in the eyes of the average mage. Once the lady would slice he blade downwards, he would try to lock swords with hers, his own blade swinging upwards to have both metals meet. Provided this be successful, he would take one quick moment to speak to her before she would see him as a threat. Don't. I have someone who can get the answers out of him. He'd explain, hoping that it would be enough to get her guard to drop. There was no need to engage in combat with her, she wanted the answers that he wanted, and with Nimpha, there was no way he could lose them.

Ignite in the meantime would walk over to the man, Nimpha following up from behind. As for you, care to give us answers? The She-Phoenix would ask. The man would snarl when looking upwards at her. A daring act of attempting to spit on her would occur, landing on her right boot. Ignite's eyes closed halfway, she was not in the mood for these games. With the same boot that had been spat on, she'd swing her leg with brute strength against the mans cheek, causing him to fall to the side. I'm not in the mood for games. Death would be too merciful for you. Give us answers, or expect great suffering. Right Nimpha? After the explanation, the trigger word would appear. Nimpha. The man's eyes would open up once he heard the familiar name. To confirm this was true, the Treasure Hunter would couch to meet the man face to face. Her perky smile was still equipped. Hiiiiiii! She would perkily exclaim. The man would violently thrash, trying to roll out of the way. The Pinkette was able to cause mass amounts of pain, since any opponent she faces can be forbidden from death if she allows it. Infinite slashes of a sword, infinite slams of a giant mallet, infinite amounts of flames burning him from the inside out, she could do this. But no dying, that was a simple, yet damning rule.

The She-Phoenix would not let the man roll away, giving him one more chance to change his mind, or suffer the sever consequences. As he tried to roll, she'd place her boot on his hip, pressing down to prevent him from moving any further. This is your last chance. Listen to the lady, or you answer to Nimpha. And I suggest you make the choice quickly. Ignite would explain, pressing her foot downwards to inflict more pain onto the hip. A small crack could be heard, echoing a little in fact. The man let out a yowl, something in his body being broken for sure. That was just a small sample of what could be happening to him.

Provided the lady was able to listen to reason for long enough and witnessed what she had, Elyx would drop his blade, returning it back to the holder. All right. Try it one more time. The Sky Slayer would tell her, placing his hands in his pockets. It was not his role to get the answers, but just to get the man to speak to the lady. After all, the lady did defeat the man, so she should be the one to get the answers. Nimpha would move out of the way provided that be necessary in order for questions to be asked. And Ignite would remain in place, ready to amplify the pressure provided that be necessary. She doubted it, but humans were amazing, and it was actually a possibility.

The man lying broken before her was about to breathe his last, or so Sharp had thought. Within a flash, another blade came from below to smash against her magical one. She would have reacted and attempted to slice the man for interrupting the execution of one who willed it from losing honorably, but as Sharp had turned to look at his face she could see something, he was strong. His blade steadiness was proof of that already but his determination in his eyes begot strength. He wasn't being a coward, or trying to be a warrior of false justice, no he was fighting for his ideals, one that strong well, Sharp should at least be cautious before attempting to battle him. She didn't retract her blade back into its hilt but she did move it away from both men for the time being. The man that interrupted her would speak about how he has someone that can get the information out. The man clearly didn't wish to give any information and wanted death, this was starting to sully his worthwhile fight and declaration and was starting to get Sharp a little hot under the collar from a small sense of annoyance. If he wished to die, simply let him there are others who can provide the information, without wishing to give a fight.

What Sharp witnessed from the other two ladies that appeared from, presumably, his last location could only be described as a comedy routine. If Sharp could have more of a sense of humor right now she might have found it a bit funny, but as of right now she was far too serious to really care about how comedic their act was. What she did care about was how the man might be willing to give information, if only to get this farce over with faster. While she didn't wish to drill him for more information, it seemed like she didn't have any other choice as this man now couldn't get the honorable death he deserved, it was far too sullied, and if she attempted to do it, she would have to battle all of them, which while potentially enjoyable from a challenging her own abilities standpoint, wouldn't help her with her true goal, and would rather delay it.

"Where did the two of them go off too."

"If I tell you I'll be dead anyway, stupid smile brigade stopping me from just getting sliced."

"I agree but now you have the chance to live, use it to grow stronger instead of complaining that I can't finish you off. If you are scared of them, run away and I'll kill them for you."

"And now I got you battering me again, got the crazy pink haired lady with a mallet and some red head, and this quiet guy, man I've hit the breaking point haven't I? Urgh, look the group behind this monster they aren't like me, they are organized, they have highly advanced weaponry, and they need those twins or others like them to do... something. Not within my pay grade, well none of it is, they aren't paying me to do anything just threatening my livelihood."

"Stop babbling, out with the important parts."

"Alright, alright fine, they went down into the shell. it's located underneath the grease bit bar, good luck getting in without a fight or being invited, they have some tough goons out front and about it. Stronger than my bots here can handle, but I guess judging by captain no smiles speed and little miss murders cold stare, I guess you guys can handle it, now can I go, I need to flee as fast as I can."

Scoffing a bit as she finally withdrew her blade, Sharp motioned for the man to run off, and hopefully the mysterious man and his two female companions wouldn't stop him from retreating like a coward. He said he couldn't handle them, it didn't matter if he could or not, if they tried to threaten his way of life he should have fought against them, live or die it doesn't matter, he would die with honor and it would gift worship to the blood god, his victory would mean he was stronger and would also give honor. it is never a loss to die for ones cause if you look at it objectively. Turning to look towards the man Sharp gave her blank focused stare focused upon his eyes, she was trying to read him, but it was difficult, even for her. What exactly was wrong with him, something was off, and his aura wasn't easy to read. He seemed the type to kill without so much as a budge. he was dangerous, but also had his own sense of honor, which is she ended up being forced to work with him and his crew, is something she could play off of.

"You with the muddled aura, what is your name, if you are so rude as to deny a man his honorable death, you should at least give me your name, since you have sullied part of my honor today as well. Your companions names as well, but your's first, I will say mine after as you are the one to owe me."

Is this the data you need? Nimpha would ask the two of them, Elyx and Ignite, as she would smile and place her palms behind the back of her head. Eyes closed and a cat like smile equipped, how does she manage to stay so damn happy? Ignite would release the pressure of her boot from the mans hip, no longer pinning him to the ground. The Sky Slayer would make no attempt to stop this, showing his approval for the result. And so the man would scramble, evacuating from the scene with his life. Answers were received, and there was a low amount of blood that was spilled without need. So they needed to get under the Grease Bit Bar. Interesting, maybe Nimpha can guide them to that area since she knew the place inside out. Naturally, her existence would cause everyone to bail out, which was fine for the most part since none of them were their concerns. However, the two siblings that they had to find were going to be a bit harder to get calmly.

Know where the Grease Bit Bar is? The She Phoenix would ask Nimpha, in which the Pinkette would simply reply with a nod of the head. Her whites were revealed to show the lack of care she had for such a tense situation. No words would emit from her lips. No extra tips or anything? But once she thought about it for a little bit, she would then clap her hands together, like a maiden, before then telling them about something. Oh right! There is a Cellar below the place! That is how we can get "Under" the bar! Didn't see anyone down there before though, makes you wonder what happened, eh? The Treasure Hunter explained. All right, but where exactly was the Cellar in the bar? And if it's in a reserved place like it should be, how would they gain acc-... They had Nimpha that was all there was to say. What did she do to them to make the whole city fear her again? We should probably make our way over there now before it closes! Otherwise security is going to grow. Because as they just witnessed, security was most certainly going to get in the way of the Treasure Hunter. Oh well, they might as well take the advice. This job was quite a weird mood, it made them glum, it was rather down in this area. All right, lets go meet out clients, shall we then? The Sky Slayer would propose. Ignite and Nimpha nodded their heads in unison before they would then attempt to walk away, completely disregarding the lady that had interrogated them. Not even a thank you. Then again, she did get that information she needed, seems like they were after the same thing.

And so of course, she would make herself relevant to their lives once again by challenging Elyx, demanding his name for apparently not allowing him to die an honorable death. The brunette did not even turn his head back, he just did what he was supposed to do. When it came to killing, he would only kill for two reasons. In self defense, or if it was needed in order to complete a job. Going around to randomly murder targets was not on his list of things to do. As Wizard Saint, it was his duty to protect the lives of others, since the gift of life itself was so precious. And the lady cared to take it away, so who exactly was being honorable, and who wasn't? His steps carried on at the same pace, following behind Nimpha, who was leading them. His light brown eyes did not even shift to the side. Life is much more precious than death, and you were attempting to take it away. The man had answers, and you attempted to kill him anyways due to a lack of patience. In the first place, I never owed you anything. Provided everyone with that information acted the same way, you would have executed every single source of data about my clients. I got your answers for you in fact, so no further will this conversation carry out. Good day. A formal explanation, so short, yet so damning. There was not much time, Elyx would normally tone things down and try to be calm and collected. But the Nexile was a project to be stopped, and he was going straight down to business. Provided nothing else be said to him or the group, they would have the intention to just exit while looking for the Grease Bit Bar. Well that was most certainly a fun conversation, he could not wait for the next time they spoke to each other again.

What do you think the children would be doing in a place like a bar? Or... Under a bar rather. Ignite would ask, tilting her head to the side. A fair question. Maybe they were just there to raid things? Maybe. There was a chance that the man could have been lying, but that was fine, because then they had a whole bar full of people to tell them where the clients are. It was his duty as a Bounty Hunter to be able to find targets. He was not a subtle one when it came to this sort of thing, going by the laws of ethics was never normally the best path anyways. They needed answers, and quickly. If the children were their, the people at the bar did not need to fear him... Provided they did not try to fight him. To them, he looked like an old-style village boy that just became an adult, accompanied by an equally young redhead and an older lady with frizzled pink hair. Provided I had to guess, maybe it would be just to hide out. There probably is a reason for wanting to stay in the area where alcohol is normally stored. Then again, oxygen is normally a problem, so it's likely that it might not be the only place they hide out. And if THAT were the case, the kids did not necessarily have to be at the cellar either. Meaning that they were going to have to keep asking questions until they have updated answers. The three of them could do this all day if they had to.

The man's reply was harsh, and he didn't give any information, in fact, he claimed that he had helped Sharp do her job. In a way he was correct, she had gotten more information, but he was incorrect in that it was her only job, an honorable death instead of from those who threatened him would have been far better an outcome, and now he would most likely die anyway. She had the information, but the man didn't have peace of mind in his, eventual, death so now she was more of a disgrace than honorable, but right now she didn't feel like fighting against this entire band of people, it would just be even more of a waste of her already precious time. Her feelings could be summed up as in a practical sense she was grateful, from an honor stance she was disgusted, and seeing as how harsh and mute the man's overall composure was, she didn't have any more business dealing with him.

    "Very well."

That was it, Sharp simply walked away and left the area, she would locate this bar on her own, and wouldn't need to go with that group. If their paths crossed again she could only hope that they wouldn't be so foolish in their ways of honor, though many walked a different path, one could at least respect another's or else there was total anarchy. Hopefully, the next group on the case would be either trying to fight her, which made life simple, or would stay out of her way, it was always bothersome to try and explain morals to one who didn't care.

This bar, the grease bit looked like one of those joints trying to be way too tough. How did Sharp find out the location, why simple, she held her sword to a random strangers throat and got the answer, she was done playing a nicer attitude since she now knew there were others after the children she wished to recruit. The place, as the name implied was very low brow and full of ill repute. The type of crowd that showed up would terrify most people, especially one who looked so young as Sharp did, but she didn't care all she needed was to find the kids. They would be in this place or something would lead her to the next location that they might be at. The basement apparently was the main hub of the gang that was somehow involved, the den of corruption that she would need to root out. Regardless, approaching the place proper Sharp entered, a few faces stared and gave her both looks of contempt, or looks of lust. She ignored it, the majority of the people in here didn't seem that strong, except for a few off by a door to the side, who seemed like they were the ones who were guarding the way to the basement. Looks like it would be easier than she thought.

Approaching the front of the counter, Sharp gave the bartender a bit of a smile, while he gave her a confused look, his skin was paler and covered in grease, like many in here. This was probably the mechanic stop for drinks around in the area, thus the name.

    "What will you be havin'?"

"Milk is fine, in a bottle, please."

A snort came from the man sitting next to her, and a glare rang out from his eyes, as the milk bottle was placed in front of Sharp, the man got up and stared down at her.

"We don't like your kind in here little lady. Milk drinkers can go home to the baby farm."

"Well then, I suppose you can go home."

Picking up the milk bottle, Sharp flipped it in her hands to hold the top end of the bottle, and with a loud thwack smashed it across the man's face knocking him to the ground out cold.

    "Anyone else? No, good."

Looking back towards the bartender, Sharp gave a harsh glare.

"Answer slowly, were there two kids that came in here recently, or not?"

One thing that one should know about Nimpha is that she was always doing what she did for fun, to make herself and those around her happy. She was a bit of a nut, but she was very much loved for it. There were many upsides to this being the case, but a few leaks in the system as well. For example, the ditzy pinkette would claim to know where the Grease Bar was, only for them to be distracted and end up in a Frozen Yogurt shop. When Ignite asked why they were here out of all places instead of the Grease Bar, she would snap her fingers as if she had just remembered that. Turn out, that was exactly what had happened. Oh well, seeing her so cheerful when a cup of frozen Birthday Cake flavored yogurt would allow them to smile in return. Ignite got herself a Strawberry one, but since her body was made from fire, it would only end up being a drink. The Sky Slayer refrained, since he was still very much interested in the result of the job rather than a small break. So once they had gotten out, they would get back on track. Or so they would hope. To make sure that was the case, every five minutes of walking would have a little reminder of their location, in case the luckiest mage in the world would just forget again. So after that break, they would eventually locate their destination, standing in front of the bar. Nimpha would take the lead as they would walk in, only for a familiar face to stop them. Seems like she had the same intentions as the three of them. Well, there was nothing to be done there. If she had been there for the while and had not found the cellar, it was likely she would never do that.

All right Nimpha, get us to the cellar. Elyx would tell her, placing his hands in his pockets. Before given the chance to do so however, one of the people in the bar would decide to speak out against the dangerous luck mage. YOU! I want a rematch! I owe you a hell of a fight for what you did to me, you bitch! One of the men would challenge her, and he seemed to be no stranger. A direct fight with Nimpha? One on one? With no conditions? No guilds to help make the defeat less painful? Shut up. She is not here for yo- Cutoff. Nah Elyx. Don't worry about me. This will only take me a second. The Treasure hunter would tell the Wizard Saint. Her usual happy tone was the same, but her volume was less than loud. Moderate. That was unusual unless she entered a state of battle. Well, fortunately, Ignite was able to craft things easily with her fire. Maybe a gravestone would be needed after this. Kick his ass! The She Phoenix would helpfully add, raising a fist as a small circle would form. The two of them would step back and away from the pinkette, giving her permission to do the second best thing she was good at. Number one being locating treasure.

Lets dance! Her knuckles would crack loudly, showing her rust in battle. Last he checked, he had not seen her battle with only her body. Which was strange considering one VERY useful ability that she has used on enemies before, making them helpless in a fist-fight. Hell, it could be a sword fight and she would not even flinch. The man would not add any words like a smart fighter. Then again it was smarter to stall for time, to enjoy being healthy and in one piece. The man would swing first, a left hook that was neatly dodged under. He tried again by trying to gut her stomach with a right fist. In return, the pinkette would lift her right knee upwards to block the impact, extend the leg upwards to send the arm away. Surprisingly... She seemed to have her leg lifted up really high. As in, a perfect 180 angle. With one mighty swing downwards onto the head, a huge crack would echo all throughout the bar as impact had been made. It did not just sound like one crack as well, but like a mini avalanche. How many pieces of bone were shattered into was anyones guess. He is fine! Michael will recover in about a week. Unless you know, someone did something like this! A stomp onto the spine with even more bones being shattered. Elyx would take action and pounce at her, holding her up by the arms. This would be useless if she actually resisted, but he was just telling her with this that the damage had been done. All right Nimpha, you are done. You won. We need to get to the Cellar now.

Two months if luck is on his side. Good luck Michael! The Treasure hunter would say before walking forward. The crowd would move out of her way as she began to direct them towards the door that was previously guarded. Now, they were not so guarded. There were human beings there, but having that scene occur in front of them, did they really want to cross her? Hey there fellas, mind letting two ladies and a gentleman through this door? There are a few people we would like to see. The She Phoenix would ask them nicely. Well, provided it had been her alone, they would have most likely said no. But now, they were hesitating, thinking about what they should do. Well, that was not the "yes" that she was hoping for. So to help them make up their minds, Ignite would raise a left fist that swarmed with red flames. You don't want to make a lady see herself in. Open the damn door, or it's your teeth taken as interest! Now her threats had no cheery tone in them, unlike Nimpha, meaning they had much more impact. Her facial expression would also be much less than joyful. And while she was clearly not as strong as the pinkette, the She Phoenix was a friend of that pinkette. Any friend would look like an equally strong ally. Perfect for this occassion. And so a second thought would not be given to them, the door would open up for them, giving the three of them access.

"There were two kids that showed up here, they went with some guys into the cellar that's all that I know."

    "I detest lying."

"Look I'm not lying that was it, and if you don't believe me, you can see the angry crowd behind you."

"Don't worry, I already see them."

Looking behind her with trinket Sharp had already seen the entire bar get up and start to wander over towards her to get violent. This was a bar brawl, but it was several on one, a completely dishonorable fight. This was the mantra of many who Sharp faced, they didn't wish to have an honest fight to test skills, they merely desired victory, which would give them nothing but empty satisfaction. Victories which weren't hard fought or taught you anything were meaningless, and only served to inflate an ego which would lead to death before full potential was realized. This is why Sharp wouldn't bother with them in a traditional manner as the man before, who fought her with his own creations and abilities. he had lost, but he had lost with honor and had grown to potentially have a respectable death, the ones preparing to attack her now...

They hadn't earned anything so glorious.

Spinning around on the stool, Sharp raised her left arm and pulled the trigger on her wrist mounted weapon. Firing out the explosive rounds from Zeal she underneath a torrent of hellfire towards them, tearing them to shreds just as fast as it blew them apart. The bar keeper also attempted to pull out a pistol with which to shoot her in the back of the head, but sadly as she finished spinning towards the main crowd, she managed to flip around and draw her blade fast enough to slice his head clean off at the neck, and with her opposite hand grabbed the glass of milk he had for poured for her again, probably as a sign of irony for him to gloat about after killing her, sadly he didn't realize what he was dealing with, or possibly regretted it, but now would never get the chance to speak up against it. Taking a swig from the glass, Sharp placed it back down on the counter and proceeded to get up, the ruin of this bar now present before her. No doubt those who were guarding the cellar entrance from the bar proper had overheard and were calling for backup. If more backup came it wouldn't matter, if they were all that it would end just the same.

Heading over the steel door, she looked for weak points, but didn't really find any, instead, she would try for a direct approach. Jamming her blade into the bottom right side of the door she watched as it slowly started to melt into petals, which flew from the door at an alarming rate. She could hear the yelling of those behind and the scuttling of their hastily made defenses. They couldn't shoot her through the door, but they planned to ambush her. Peering through said door she saw them, two of the guards down the narrow corridor, they had set up they chairs as small barricades, and held their guns with baited breathe. As Sharp finished cutting through the door and circling up around it, she smashed it inward and then ducked to the side as she heard their own hail of bullets slam down the corridor towards the now busted doors last known local. Then it happened, and she heard the "click", these guy's weren't nearly as creative as the other man she had just fought. Rushing in before they could reload, Sharp slash her blade across both of them, and just like that they fell to the ground a bit worse for wear.

This was good from the sense that now she was in this place, sadly the alarms seemed to start ringing as she began to walk further down the hallway, it was perhaps her error, but this too was a test, if the kids who had potentially been taken were down here and died merely because an alarm went off, they weren't worth her attention, if they survived then they might be worth her attention. What might have seemed likely mindless murder, was really just her seeing if the kids at the end of the day were worth it, as Sharp could have just snuck into the base by going through all of the walls, but instead she wanted to make it more difficult to see what the end result would be with the children and this lair.

Sharp hoped she wouldn't be disappointed by the kids results.

That was easy, they were given the access needed, followed by the prickly other being that they had met before. She was after the children as well, but there better not be any bloodshed. If so, Elyx himself was going to get involved. The Wizard Saint would walk towards the cellar room, the door being their only obstacle. Instead of getting rid of the lock normally with Ignite’s ability to pick them, he would just instantly unsheathe Bound Iris, slamming it against the metal lock and quickly disabling it from holding anything in place anymore, the item just limping to the side. Placing his blade back, he would kick the door open before then going down to see the children. Hey there! Mind if we make our way inside? He would ask, as if giving them an option to say no. He was not. Not while they were his clients. With that, he would then begin to walk down the wooden steps, each making a creak sound as he pressed his weight them. Was he heavy? Or perhaps they were old. Ignite seemed to prove that wrong as she would make her way down without a single bit of noise. Perhaps he had the ability to blame his heavy clothes? Oh well, why did it matter. He knew his body type, those chocolate bars pretty much go out of existence. No one has yet to find them ever since their disappearance.

How did you even get in here!? One of them would question, which only made Elyx give off a genuine smile, probably one of the first in the mission. The children were adorable, if they only knew the world that they lived in and the type of people that existed in it. Plus, if they hired people, why would they be hiding? I have a better question. Why might you be hiding here? You hired us. Or, perhaps most of us. His light brown eyes would shift way off to the side, at the corner of his eyes, he would see the other woman that seemed to want to take advantage of their entrance path into the cellar. And of course, the children would think that they were slick with him. What are you even talking about? You have the wrong people! Get out of here! Did they think he was stupid? The male of the two of them was very defensive. It was not a good idea to turn down those who were hired. Elyx did notice that the younger one, the female child, was not so much for talking. Instead, she would just bore her eyes into the lot of strangers without a word said. The older one would hold onto her. So he was just trying to protect her, and they were suspected of being others. To prove this wrong, he would look over to Ignite. Got the paper? Elyx asked, to receive a nod from the She Phoenix. She’s slip the piece of paper from her pocket out before flicking it towards the direction of the children. How about this? Does this serve as enough evidence for you both? Or perhaps we can stop playing this pointless game?

After looking at the paper, scanning it, the man would soften his muscles a little bit. Could he read in such a dimly lit room? Eh, it did not matter. The Nexile. They seem to be gaining a bit of control. It’s odd… They have not been too successful. Project Max was a failure and ran from them, but they did not even bat an eye. Lives have been lost, they keep disappearing for some reason. What kind of vague explanation was that? But before he could jump, he would then notice the shaking between the both of them. They probably were just trying their best, so he should be delicate with them. Tell me, how many are sent per group on average? And how many consist of mages? He would ask. Nexile was not something he was unfamiliar with, they wanted to control existence itself… But they have only had failed experiments. Until only recently apparently. They are able to take beings lives with this, and it’s gaining power in the process? It sounds like it feeds on their lives. So death was the goal, plain and simple. About three or four, normally 2 as high level mages. They tend to be around B and A rank. Nice to know they get the alphabet, but not the current day ranking system. A rank beings were not the highest to exist, that was for sure.
