Heat cannot be separated from fire, or beauty from The finite.

    Concentration

Was written plainly across her face as she made her way down the streets of Crocus, her boots tapping on the pavement with every step. Clutched in her hands was a piece of paper which was where her concentration was directed towards. It took every last inch of will power to make sure that the paper did not burn to a crisp in her palms. Normally, documents of importance such as maps, directions, and letters from clients turned to ash before her. However, with practice, time, and a great deal of concentration Venir had learned to gain some control of her body temperature. Though not enough for her to properly concentrate upon the map in her hands as well as her surroundings.

    Thud!

The young woman fell on her bottom after having collided with one of the many lacrima light posts that littered the streets. "Owww..." She rubbed her forehead, violet irises glancing up at the object in question. As her vision focused it was not the lacrima light post that had caught her attention but rather the building behind it. Through luck or pure coincidence Venir had managed to stop in front of the right cafe which had taken her longer than expected to find. Crocus wasn't exactly running short of cafes. "Well, I'm here now..." She got up and dusted herself off, "How hard can running a cafe be?" It wouldn't be the first time she helped out at a short handed restaurant! Taking a deep breath she entered her temporary place of work the small bell on the chiming at her entrance. Though cheery and bright that sound would soon be like the tolling of bells for a funeral.

Today was a rare day for Rasparov. It was a day where he did not feel like going about his usual plotting and planning against those that had done him wrong. No, today he would go have fun by doing a 'normal' job that regular people did. After going through the bodily changes that he had recently, the cells changing his looks and physique to do better than those around him, the tall man felt no drive to do anything he normally did this day. That was why he was currently inside of a cafe, dressed in a fine suit that would make any other butler feel inadequate in his presence.

The cafe was not quite open for business yet, though the doors unlocked, and he was simply wandering around and familiarizing himself with the inside's layout when he heard noises from outside; those of a fall. Curiosity would get the better of the man, coattails trailing behind him as long strides took him from the back of the cafe and into the main dining area to see the woman walk in; the small bell giving away that someone had entered. Was she a guest that did not realize she was early? Or was she also here to work as well? One could not be sure, so there was only one thing to do; find out himself.

"Good day. May I ask as to why such a beautiful face as yours is here this fine day?" A graceful bow would be made as he asked the question, eyes slowly turning to look back at her as he came back up from the movement.

The inside of the cafe was empty, which was to be expected. However, it did not remain empty for long as a male, dressed in formal butler wear approached. Her violet gaze shifted to him, a smile easing its way onto her lips. His initial compliment was disregarded, not out of rudeness but out of naivety. It was particularly hard to compliment the young woman as most just sailed over her head. "Actually I am here for a job!" She chirped, voice as bright as her vibrant appearance. To aid in her rxplenation she offered the male the paper clutched in her hands. There was slight burn marks from where her fingers had clutched it but the burn marks were an improvement compared to a pile of ashes. "I believe you put out a request for mages to help run the cafe?" Her head cocked to the side, having not yet caught on to the fact that the male before her was not the owner of the cafe. How could he not be? Some dressed so formally in such a cafe had to have been the owner or at the least the person who put out the job request to begin with.

"I'm sure I'll be more than enough help! So where should I get started?"

The blonde haired girl seemed to completely miss the charm in his question, answering instead with the simple fact that she was here to work and that was it. Eyes blinked quickly, twice, as he took the note she handed to him and looked at it. It was the same as the one he had used to get here, but there were burn marks in the shape of fingers on it; very interesting. There were only a few ways to manage such, but normally it was magic that allowed something like that. But why would one willing to work here partially burn the note and still hand it to someone they seemed to think was the owner? Maybe it was the butler uniform? On top of the way she seemed to be?

"Ah, I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding. I am not the master of this place, he is out back working on something while I await the opening of the store. I am simply a butler, here to wait these tables as they fill up." Another bow, one of introduction, would be made before he spoke up again. "Shall I show you to the dressing rooms? We are to dress up as something before the work begins. As you can see, I am very much obliged to this one." No one could argue the fact that he fit the butler act perfectly. Working for the Rune Knights involved service, as did a butler. That and he had the body for it now... The man pointed in the direction of the dressing rooms before doing a turn that made coattails move about with it. The moving of legs and feet would bring him to the open doors of one room before he stopped, allowing her the freedom to enter and close the door for some privacy to change before work.

"Oh!?" She gasped, eyes going wide at her own mistake. He was not the owner of the cafe? Well, that made things rather awkward. Venir would have apologized to the male for her mistake and would have gone to greet the true owner of the shop, but the butler seemed to have a handle on things. "Dressing rooms? Dress up?" She followed with a small pout upon her lips. Doing work in her usual adventuring garb was more appealing as it was practically like her own skin. The worn fabric of her jacket, the snugness of her shorts, and the boots that practically melded to her feet were nearly irresistible not just in appearance but in comfort. Though her garb screamed adventuring mage more than it did waitress so perhaps a change of outfit was in order.

Following after the butler she found herself in the dressing rooms, shutting the door behind her out of habit rather than common sense. With the dressing room to herself, Venir took it upon herself to find a suitable outfit to wear. While the cafe had a shortage of workers it did not have a shortage of costumes. "Hmmmm..." She hummed in thought, a variety of outfits before her some more appropriate than others, not that Venir had much of a grasp as to why some of the outfits lacked coverage. Venir wasn't particularly picky with what she wore, comfort was a priority, but other than that she could wear just about anything. The blonde woman seemed to have no insecurities about her body, other than the temperature, but her lack of insecurity was not due to overconfidence in her appearance. Rather Venir had little grasp on her voluptuous build or the charm that came with it. After some searching a certain outfit had caught her eye, it's provocative nature was disregarded as its soft fabric was the real reason as to why she had even chosen it to begin with.

    ~*~

    "Ready for work!"

She chirped as she exited the dressing room, giving a small salute as well. Her outfit was eye-catching to say the least, and the bunny ears sat atop her head almost as perfectly as the tail did on her bottom. The fabric was simply too soft, the outfit more comfortable than one would think, and Venir seemed to lack any sort of shame or knowledge of just how nicely it clung to her curves. Besides Venir thought rabbits were awfully cute.

The other mage's body was simple to ignore when she had first come in. After all, he was a lot more in character at that moment and had been having fun. It would no be so easy after she came out of the dressing room though. It was a few minutes before she would come back out with what she would be wearing for her volunteered shift she would be doing. A bunny outfit, fit for something for a lover than a job outside of the house, that showed her assets more than he would ever expect from anyone conscious about their own body. Was she that sure of herself? Or was she just naive and had no grasp on how provocative it was?

The chirpy "Ready for work!" was almost completely missed as the man was suddenly caught in a loop of looking into her eyes before eyes wandered down to look at the rest of her. A shake of his head, to clear the thoughts that began to rise, would be made before he tried to get back into his butler act he had been enjoying so much. "I..uh...that is an exquisite costume, milady! It will be very...enjoyable for those that come into our scenic cafe and dine with us. Have you ever worked in a cafe or as a waitress before? Or shall I go over what needs to be....done?" It was hard to focus when there was someone so beautiful before him. Even harder still when said person had perfect curves, and all of them were quite obvious to those that would look. Turning away so he did not keep staring and make it too obvious.

A simple step forward during it would allow him to gain some space to breathe before turning back around to speak, a smile now on his face again. "If not, you can easily watch me for the first table or two after we start getting guests. Let you see how a true butler works and learn visually." He was hoping she at least knew how to do this kind of job, else it would be a bit odd for her to just volunteer.

    "Thank you!"

She gave him a mock curtsy as there was no skirt to the outfit for her to actual curtsy with. The compliment on her outfit did not go unnoticed as his initial compliment had, though why she was receiving it was beyond her. Venir wasn't exactly the brightest when it came to things of risque nature. "Yup! I helped out a cafe like this before!" She replied, though it had been some time since she last worked as a waitress. "So I may need a few minutes to get into the flow of things but I should pick it up pretty quickly!" Ever the optimist Venir could only smile before a thought struck her, "Though I was much smaller back then... Now that I'm bigger..." Though she was referring to her height her words could be misconstrued, "I'm sure my size doesn't matter much for things like this."Her heels tapped on the wooden floor as she took a few steps after him, his one long stride was easily a few of her own shorter steps. The young woman appeared as if she was going to say something else but at that moment the bell upon the door rang as their first customer entered the cafe.

While it seemed she caught the compliment, the young woman did not seem to catch ALL of the meaning behind it. Very interesting, most would have responded in either an extremely positive or negative way to it and brushed him off to go about their business. Truly this girl was on the innocent side, which was a blessing and a curse depending on which way you looked at it. Anyways, they had work to do! The beautiful woman, in quite the suggestive way, said she had done this before but seemed to be worried that her 'assets' being bigger than they had been the last time she had done this job. "Why no madam, size means nothing for this job. Unless size is something that a patron is looking for in their server." He wasn't sure if she had meant it the way she said, so he said it in a way that was very casual.

It wouldn't be long before their conversation finished that the bell on the door rang, letting them know that the first customers had arrived and were going to be needing help in the next few minutes. "Well then! Let's show them a proper welcome and help this cafe out with business to the best of our abilities!"

"I suppose so." She responded, following after him with a skip in her step, the ears atop her head swaying slightly. As the bell rang her gaze fell upon the open door, and the illuminated figures of their first customers. Rushing over alongside the butler, Venir greeted them with a cheerful smile, accompanied with a bow. Atop her head the ears were perked up, standing upright as if they had a will of their own. The customers in question was a group of teenagers, and a group of children with no parents to speak of. At the sight of Venir one of the children, a younger one that didn't realize the provocative nature of Venir's outfit, squealed out, "Rabbit!" Cause Venir to squeak with delight at the sheer cuteness of the scene. "Right this way please!" Venir took the group of children, leaving the teenagers for Rasparov to deal with. It was hard to say which group would prove to be more challenging.
