It was painfully obvious that no one had used this very room for a little while now. As dust had settled down, creating a thin but apparent layer on everything. From the various antiquities that she had collected, to her personalized desk.
Underneath that layer of dust, Frederick could distinguish a circular mark here and there. A water ring, a stain left behind from a cup. Obviously pointing out that the woman who used this room, spend quite some time here. Working probably. Assessing the guild and its members.

Frederick sighed, while glaring from one object to another. Guessing which one reflected her the best. Hoping to give an answer to a rather ill question. Namely, where the hell was she.

It had been over two weeks now, since Hikari. His guild master vanished, or disappeared on a job what was supposed to be nothing more then a routine task. A simple objective that could have easily been done by someone of her stature. Yet something had happened, something even Frederick wasn't aware off and left him with nothing but questions. The moment Hikari didn't report in, Frederick started to get suspicious. As his master always reported in, or better wanted him to report in. Which obviously he never did, leaving it always to her to call him and ask on the status of the guild or what not.

So he traveled, taking one of the airships, along with one of the members. One who also had noticed the absence of the master by now. And started to trail her route. Only to encounter quite an horrific sight.
There in the Forgotten deserts itself, not even remotely close to the location of his masters job, they came upon the debris of her own personal ship. Broken and destroyed, it's pieces scattered all over the sand. Slowly being swallowed by the endless desert. Yet any evidence of Hikari or her paramour being present was not there.

This left him with an unanswered question, a question Frederick now had to relate to the rest of the guild. Before they panicked or started to point fingers and blame others for a crime they didn't commit. But before he was planning on addressing the guild at all, he had to discuss this. Come up with a plan. As the future of Sabertooth hang in the balance. Uncertain and wiggling around, ready to flip at any second and tumble to its destruction.

One of specific persons was the very member he had brought with him on the sky ship, Kite. Simply to confirm their findings, as well as he knew what was going on. There were two more of Sabertooth coming, one Ryo an high ranking mage in the guild. One that shared an adventure or two with Frederick. One that Frederick reluctantly called a friend. The other Sabertooth mage was the ace of the guild. A young girl, a nun with a righteous mind, that preferred to bleed if it meant saving other people.
Then there was the last person of their meeting, Ardere, guild master of Infinity Hydra and a previous member of Sabertooth. A great and proud mage, and above all a good friend to Hikari. A person that very well deserved to know what was going on, not only because of his friendship, but also since he was the co-leader of the Sabertooth, Infinity Hydra alliance.

The blonde nun in question found it curious that Frederick was requesting her presence at the Guild Master's chambers. Admittedly that was partially due to the fact that the paperwork had rapidly begun to climb since Hikari had gone off on her job request alongside her betrothed Chelvaric. And there'd been no sign of Aiyanna helping out with the forms and files either, no doubt because the half-Spirit girl was busy flirting or something with some of the guild members...

Kiersa hadn't seen Frederick in some time, and now that she could actually think about it as she walked towards the Guild Masters office, she found herself wondering what this request was for... especially in light of Hikari's continued absence. She'd managed to allay the concerns of those that came to her for answers, saying that they'd simply taken a romantic vacation after completing their job, and for now that seemed to appease the tension.

But the Paragon was starting to wonder herself now if that was truly the case? Did Frederick's summons have something to do with this? Did he have the answers about what had transpired? So many more questions were sprouting from this seed of doubt that had been planted in her mind. As she arrived, she knocked on the door before stepping inside. "Hello sir." she said, bowing her head towards Frederick in respect.

    - Kite

Kite was able to vividly recall the events that had lead up to this, he remembered being in his ship when Frederick, the big man on campus second to only Hika came aboard his ship searching for him for some reason. Unfortunately Frederick had made it clear what his purpose for being there was. He was there to bring Kite along with him to track down their absent Guild master Hika and her betrothed and Guild Ace Pein. Fred's timing could not have been better timed as it so happened the demon slayer was beginning to grow concerned from the lengthy absence himself but nothing could have prepared him for what was to come.  Fred brought Kite onto a different Airship and flew it with skill towards the forgotten desert, the expansive sea of sand and heat to track down the trail of Hika’s own ship. The scene that he and the second in command came across would remained burn in the memory of the Demon Slayer. The sight of the scattered pieces of broke, smashed and twisted metal scattered across the sandy floor below them half sunk under the surface of the sand had caused several emotions to rise within him such as anger, sorrow and regret the anger of which caused his flames to erupt from his body but calmed down and retracted his aura he wanted to find who was responsible and burn them to nothing but there was no way of telling who was the cause and Fred knew it too which is why he important measures beyond Kite’s usual train of thought had to be made.

Back at the guild after the discovery Frederick sent out calls to the likes of Ryo, a man Kite hadn't had the pleasure of working with but was one of the stronger members of the guild, Kiersa, the Paragon of selflessness and lastly well a call was sent out to a former guildmate who was master of Infinity Hydra Ardere. The first of which to enter the guild master’s office was Kiersa, the nun wearing her usual robes and habit bowing to Fredrerick. ”It’s good to see you again Paragon.“ he said to her in a genuine and respectful tone unfortunately he didn't share her custom to really now in respect for many people but if she would he would in return. It was always a pleasure to meet with fellow members of his guild but it was a shame this wasn't under better circumstances but he would leave the announcement to Fredrerick and just keep it to himself for the time being.

    I am the fire
    I am burning brighter
    Roaring like a storm
And I am the one I've been waiting for
    Screaming like a siren
    Alive and burning brighter

Soaring through the skies, wind buzzing past, Ardere stood at the helm of the Black Sun. A thick ship made of a strange dark wood, reinforced by steel plating. It was a large ship for a personal one, and certainly faster than most. He would need this speed, as the Samurai was catching up with an old acquaintance of his. Flipping several switches and making several clicking sounds, he turned up the ship's engine power. Keep it together love. Exhaling slowly, a smirk crossed his pale lips. He loved flying, but it was not an easy task. Fortunately he had the advantage of parts from several countries operating on his ship, in tandem with one another. It would not take long for the ship bearing a Midi and Fioran flag to catch up to the Sabertooth members' airship. It was a magnificent view from up here, but he was on business and could not enjoy such things. As he docked his ship alongside the Sabertooth airship, a grimacing feeling clenching his chest. He did not bare any fear, but there was worry for his old friend. The only thing he had been told in the message he had received was that Hikari had gone missing, and to come quickly. As the co-leader of the Ouroboros Alliance, he felt obliged as both a guild master and friend to come. Tying the ship off, he gritted his teeth. Keeping his calm and collected disposition, he could not hide the determined look in his eyes. Stepping onto the ship, his cloak shifted in the wind.

He was not wearing any armor today, other than his leather bracers. He was wearing his normal attire of a red sports jacket and pants, to show his confidence in the matter. He had to hope there would be no fighting today, and he had to hope there would be no body. They could have been trapped anywhere, or kidnapped and taken somewhere. The possibilities were endless, but that was why he was here. Entering the meeting room, he noticed the members of Sabertooth had gathered. He instantly recognized everyone in the room, as friends at least. Hey guys. I hope you're all doing as well as possible. Sliding on his red leather gloves, Ardere slowly walked closer to the group. Their course was towards the desert, that much he knew. Now let's get down to business. The fire in his eyes was a lot stronger than the last time he had to meet with Sabertooth members. Even at his rank, he was considered strong among the other mages. It had been a long time since he had seen Fred, but hopefully they would come to a mutual respect for one another.

The door creaked open, forcing Frederick to turn around and look straight at the first person to arrive. Which was Kiersa Bec, aka the girl who dressed herself as a nun. Also known as the Paragon of Selflessness, the only remaining ace of the Sabertooth guild hall.

Kiersa as always was an embodiment of politeness. Instead of storming in and immediately demanding what was going on, she simply decided to show respect first. By just simply bowing her head and addressing him first. Yet as always Frederick got kinda irked by such behavior, no thats wrong. Frederick didn't get irked by that behavior. It was more he always got kinda irked by Kiersa. As he simply didn't understand her. How can a person be so polite and kind all the time. Even in times when she was in peril. For instance, Frederick clearly recalled an event where he was about to punch some poor soul into a bloody pulp. Why? Because he had managed to anger him. And yet instead of shying away from such a sight, the girl had thrown herself between the two. Trying to speak of reason and not even blaming Frederick. Even when he was clearly at fault.

Frederick grunted some words, barely unable to be heard clearly, but judging the situation it could been interpreted as some sort of greeting. An hello perhaps. At least he acknowledged her.

Second to arrive was Kite Willhelm. The young man Frederick had dragged along in his short lived search for Hikari and her lover Pein. A man who had witnessed with Frederick the horrific sight that left guild masters fate with only an equally disturbing image of what could have happened to the two. Kite had himself proved resilient enough though. Most people would have looked away from such a scenario, yet he just stared at the broken debris of what remained of the masters airship.

Then there he was, the third member of their small gathering. The Guild Master of Infinity Hydra himself, Ardere Kasai.
He was different then how Frederick remembered him. Which unsurprisingly was also not one of the smoothest of meeting. No Ardere had grown, not so much in height or something. But he was more mature, he knew the weight of responsibility that came with the seat of a guild master. Yet somehow it suited it him.

'Fair enough' responded Frederick, who didn't even bother to greet him properly. Yet for those who knew the man, could understand that was as much as politeness that could come from him. Especially when he mostly greeted other people with a good dose of hostility. 'I'll shall be frank then' he continued 'Our master, Hikari, along with her paramour Pein... has gone missing...'

His face was serious, his tone dreadful. Suggesting that this wasn't just some simple missing persons case, or some lovers retreat. A small vacation away from the guild so that they could be together, without being disturbed.

'Missing with the least desirable of prospects....'

Ryo had taken his time, and for that he was already tardy to the gathering. He didn't really have a good explanation for it, but he did his best to arrive as swiftly as he could. Of course this meant relying on Gora and his great speed to get him there. He was told there would be a meeting at the guild's home, and he did his best to get there on time.

As he arrived at the location he could feel that something was very different in the air. He had been gone from the guild for a short time true, doing jobs, and meeting with a very interesting character who happened to be a friend of someone he didn't all together trust, but that wasn't to say he was avoiding the guild. Even after Ian's return to his coma he still lingered on living in the guild Hall. However, recent memories of a happier time caused him to avoid it.

Now Frederick called him, and that was almost never a good thing. He arrived late and out of breath running on Gora's back to get to the Guild Master's office. As he arrived Gora shrank down and he noticed that he was the last to arrive. Everyone was already here, and he knew only the two in Sabertooth by appearance, and name only, but the other was a mystery to him. Most likely a friend of the guild and that was fine, but what he heard now only shocked him.

The guild mistress, and her lover were gone, and it was likely they were dead. Ryo's heart sank he had lost two other Guild masters in his time. Zenshin had vanished without a trace, and left a sting in Ryo's heart. Raven had done much the same, but he feared much worse had happened to her. He couldn't handle a third one. He walked up behind everyone leaning on the door frame for support as he slowly removed his hat from his head. Frederick despite not being a huge friend would notice this as a sign of great disturbance. Still Ryo didn't let it freeze him "What....Do we know....Frederick?" he asked his voice just loud enough to be heard, but shaky not just from his frantic arrival, but also for the trembling in his heart.

She looked at each person as they entered the room, bowing her head in respect towards Kite as he greeted her. "It's a pleasure to see you again." Kiersa replied, raising an eyebrow at the fact that Ardere was here as well.

The blonde nun hadn't seen him since that job they did together along with Deca involving that Elemental God in the ancient temple. She'd heard that he'd left Sabertooth to form his own guild, but the fact that he was here now... something was wrong.

Kiersa listened to what Frederick had to say, a hand going to her mouth as he gave his unspoken opinion on what had transpired. She looked around the room before speaking her own piece. "Are we sure they didn't just... elope and are on their honeymoon?" she offered as a suggestion, as naive a hope that was in this situation. "Pein isn't exactly the best driver in the world..."

Given Frederick's tone of voice, she knew that would likely not be the case... but she had to at least try to entertain the notion of the possibility. Otherwise...

    - Kite

At first It was just Kite in the Guild Master’s office with Kiersa and Fred with introductions being under way. However in just a few moments the room became quite crowded, Ard had arrived, the Flame God Slayer and guild master of Infinity Hydra. He was also a member of the alliance that was formed between Sabertooth and his own guild. Despite how he felt about the current state of affairs the greeting he had given his friend was significantly less than what it would have been on any other day, but he did his best to make his friend feel welcome ”Ard, it’s been a while, its good to see ya.“ he spoke in his usual tone but had a hint of despair within it. The Demon slayer wasn’t one to always look on the bright side of things but he did his best to maintain his composure in the worst of situations but this was event was pushing his own limits to do so. Despite this the slight feeling of joy could be felt, Kite was genuinely happy to see his Slayer counterpart and that he had also become stronger since their last encounter. Kite’s attention was turned to the last man to join in the gathering, Ryo one of the highest mages of Sabertooth in it’s current state. He had arrived just in time for Fred to announce the unpleasant news regarding Hika and Pein. The announcement was met with questions for more detail from Ryo and hints of denial from the guild’s own nun, but perhaps it wasn’t so much denial as it was hoping for the best and suggesting that the two missing actually ran off to elope and were on a secret getaway. Hearing that idea from Kiersa made Kite wish that was in fact the case but he knew better than anyone else in the room with Fred being the exception just how bad it looked.

Back in the desert where the wreckage of the airship was located Kite and Fred both had the ship they were on land near the remains of the crash. From the sky all either could really see was only the heartbreaking sight as a whole but there was no real way for them to get a really good look at the situation without getting groundside and investigating what they could. The haunting feeling he felt from when he first approached the wreckage on foot was embedded in his mind but not as much as what they had discovered, the evidence that whatever had happened it was no mere accident if it was the ship would have been in better shape than what it was, but with the ship in literal pieces and with how the metal and remaining pieces showed signs of being damaged from something other than the crash, something had shot them down and it was something powerful. Kite’s focus returned to the meeting that was underway and he spoke up responding to Kiersa ”I wish it was as simple as a case of bad driving but… it was made apparent that isn’t the case. Whatever happened out in the desert left the ship completely obliterated. It was smashed by something or someone extremely powerful but by who or what I couldn’t begin to imagine what.“ he said standing in the same spot he was when everyone came in and his eyes looking at everyone in the room who was now just having the news broken down for them. Kite didn’t bother to go into the full details of it all such as saying there were no signs of survivors or even a body to bury. Also too much time had passed and with how the sands shifted there was no way to tell which way the two had went after the crash had occurred. ”Best case scenario they survived and are merely lost in the desert...Worst case Scenario….“ he paused and didn’t finish but anyone could put together what was at the end of his sentence meanwhile he just stood there with a somber look on his face anything more could be said by Fred or anyone who had more questions to ask.

Post by Ardere Kasai 4th March 2016, 12:29 pm

Giving a slight wave, a smile cracked across his pale lips. Ardere nodded to the two mages he had the pleasure of being friends with while in Sabertooth, hopefully that would mean something in the coming days. Nice to see you both again. Unfortunately this meeting was not a reunion for recreational purposes, the guild master of this fine guild had gone missing, and it shocked him to an extent but it was something they would have to deal with. He was glad that they had taken the time to call him in, it showed maturity in dealing with these matters. Perhaps together they could accomplish something great, or get past it. What really bugged the guild master, was that Pein had gone missing with Hikari as well. Who or whatever had attacked them obviously had been something of power if it had dealt with two wizards of their ranks, especially two who had such resolve and charisma when together. This whole situation was iffy, but that did not deter him from wanting to find out what happened. He noticed the presence of a man he had never met before, but judging by his magical presence it was likely the often missing Ryo. He had heard of the man during his time in the guild, but never seen him around. The fact that both he and the Fire King had shown up proved how serious this matter was.

So what's our first plan of action then? I don't imagine you guys wanna just sit around and hope they return, but if someone or thing took out both of those strong mages, then we're going to be in for a fight. Assuming we find the bastard who did this. Letting out an almost silent sight, Ardere hated not knowing. The Desert was so vast and wide, with creatures and mages of the like that most people in Fiore were not used to. He had quite the experience in the desert with a Tartarus wizard. Things did not look fortunate, prompting him to clench his fist slightly. He had to keep faith, but he was still determined. Keeping his composure, the brown haired samurai leaned on the table with his hands a bit. We have to keep faith that they are alive, but we also have to prepare ourselves for the worst. It was an unfortunate reality, but it was something they had to come to terms with before embarking on any quests or investigations. It would also sit on their conscience if they did nothing. Perhaps aging up had truly given him some experience, but more often than not he felt like a thousand years old

Ryo listened with growing dread as he heard what was happening, and what had happened to the guildmaster's airship. This wasn't a good thing in the least, but there was also something that was bothering Ryo. If the Airship had been blown apart, or attacked in anyway, he had no doubt that the Guildmaster would be able to fight back the attackers should the ship crash land and she would've come spilling out of it. Not to mention the fact that a spell, or a force powerful enough to completely destroy an entire Airship was not a thing that could be accomplished easily. A mage would've needed a lot of magical energy that would've brought them under the attention of a Guildmaster.

If it wasn't a spell that had destroyed the airship and it was something simply large and organic it would be even less likely that the Guildmaster would've been caught unaware. This being the simple fact that a giant eagle, or a giant critter, or perhaps just a giant wouldn't have been able to cause enough damage in its first attack to cause an explosion. Still he wasn't sure what the whole story was, and he wasn't around to inspect the wreckage so his own information was highly limited.

Still having heard everyone he shook his head lightly taking his hat from his head holding it in front of his chest "We have to accept that. Don't hold onto a fool's hope. It won't do any good, but we need to do some investigating to see if we can hunt down their killers. From the sounds of it they were attacked by something, and if it killed them we need to hunt whatever it is down so at the very least it can't kill anyone else. If this someone, or something is powerful enough to destroy an airship with a powerful guildmaster inside of it, you can bet every day people are easier targets." he said finally looking to Frederick to see what he would think.

Frederick didn't blame Kiersa for trying to stay positive at first. Since it was only natural to hope for the best, especially when being told that her trusted friend, her master had disappeared. Or worse considering the scene he had seen. In fact, if Frederick hadn't laid his eyes on the remainders himself, he as well would've probably blamed it on Pein and his absurd driving skills. It was even so extreme that there was an actual separate budget just to repair the ships every time he had used one.

'From what I have seen. I can only say that your assumptions are probably correct. Who... what ever it was that has taken down an airship that housed an ace of the guild as well as a master classed telepath had to be strong...'

Strong was still putting it lightly. Hell, he had been walking among the wreckage of what used to be Hikari's ship. And what he saw, the molten pieces of metal, the glassed parts of sand. It all pointed towards one definite outcome. That the being who did this, was on an entire different power level. One above most of the enemies he had faced in his life.

'And that is exactly why we have to be careful' continued Frederick. Knowing very well that it sounded the opposite from what the others suggested. 'Don't get me wrong, we must investigate. But realize that as of the moment we told you, this the guild is at war with an unknown factor. Which is very dangerous since right now Sabertooth is in a state of disarray, we have no leader no one to guide us through this. No one to break this to the other members or the masses in the town below us.'

The nun sat herself down in a chair as she thought over everyones words and reports over what they'd seen. The ship had been wrecked, destroyed by something... Hikari and Pein were nowhere to be found near the remains of the ship... Her eyes widened as her mind came to a possibility. "We're next. Why else take out a Guild Master?" said Kiersa, sharply standing up. "Where in the desert did you find the ship? What was the course it was taking?" she quickly asked, looking around the room for a map, finding one amidst the Guild Masters stuff and spreading it across the table.

With the information given to her she quickly drew a dot on the map where the ship was and the path it had taken from the Guild Hall, looking it over for what lay between the two points as well as anything else nearby. "I remember the specifications of that airship, the paperwork was quite extensive... so in order to destroy it and then leave no trace of whatever destroyed it in the process... it had to be something that was a master of aerial combat." Kiersa surmised.

"Something with immense titanic power. Something that wouldn't want to share its territory... something that could hide only in..." she said, before tapping at the nearby mountains. "There..." the blonde nun looked at those gathered there before rubbing her forehead and slumping back down into the chair. "I-I'm p-probably overthinking it... w-worst case scenario... r-really hope it's not... that." Kiersa said, not even willing to utter the name of the black beast that ruled the skies.

    - Kite

Kite had spoken his piece after hearing the nun speak, her hope was something he wished he could also share in, but if she had seen what he had then there wouldn’t be much hope left but the one known as Ryo seemed to share in his thought process, it best accept that they are gone than cling to the hope they were alive somewhere, it wouldn’t be an easy thing and would most likely shatter ever having hope in anything again, in fact Ard also shared in as well. Another thing that was at the foremost front of the meeting was the mystery of who or what attacked the ship and managed to not only completely wreck the ship but also managed to take out both Hika and Pein in one way or another. Ard made mention of there being a fight in the future and both he and Ryo made the statement of investigation, which forced Kite to let loose a sigh from his mouth but he didn’t speak his mind, he didn’t want to be the negative nancy in the room but unfortunately there wouldn’t be much point investigating the area of the crash, there was nothing but broken remains of the ship, no people , no tracks and due to the how long it was sitting there the cause of damage was almost impossible to determine. Fred had began to speak again and confirmed what everyone was assuming and thinking, and that was the being that had attacked the ship had to have been strong to take down someone with Hika’s level of power. The word strong rang through his head and he grunted at the sound of the word, it wasn’t because he believed that Fred was wrong, the being that attacked had to have been much more than strong, ”With that much power, strong doesn’t even begin to cover it, that sort of power is insane to say the least.“ he said under his breath and that sort of power was something out of a horror movie. Fred continued speaking on how they needed be careful due to the caliber of the enemy they would be up against but he made sure to make it clear that investigations would occur and that when the little meeting had started the moment they had all gathered a war had officially started. Kite knew from the beginning that something of this magnitude would only result in a war but a war wasn’t something he was sure that Sabertooth could handle right now, but the choice wasn’t the guild’s to make it was already made for it.

The demon slayer broke his concentration when he heard the sound of Kiersa say the words that had been hidden at the back of his mind since he saw the wreckage though he never allowed the thought to truly form until that particular moment and those words were “We’re next.” Kite watched as the ace started to go, standing up from her seat and grabbing a map and asking for a pinpointed location on the map of where the ship was found. Kite stood up and walked up next to her to get a good angle of the map as she asked her other questions and she even managed to point out a mountain range to the north east of the desert and determined that whatever attack came from that range. ”I couldn’t tell you what the ship’s heading was, but we found it nearing the border of that range...“ he traced a line with his finger on the map from the mountain range only going slightly south east in the direction towards the desert village but no where near it. ”right around this area.“ he said to her but her mind seemed to be focused on another topic, it looked like her brain was putting pieces to a puzzle together and when she mentioned that she hoped it wasn’t “that” Kite had a slightly confused look on his face. ”What do you mean by that? Do you have a theory on what could have done this?“ he asked her making eye contact.

Leaning against the wall, pale fingers trailed through the Samurai's thick brown locks. Staring down at the map, it was almost stressful to think about the current situation. Hikari had been his first friend in Sabertooth, and even his guild master for a time. That was not something he took lightly. The world they lived in could be a tough one, but there was justice in it. He was unsure of the fate that had befell upon his friend and her lover, but there was one thing he was certain of, it would not go unpunished. Stepping forward, he observed the map. If the person or being responsible had be following a particular path, then perhaps it was searching for someone. Tapping his leather covered finger against his chin, Ardere's orange glowing eyes scanned the map repeatedly. He could not shake this strange feeling. It was not likely a random attack, but if it had been, then whatever had done it was not going to stop it's rampage. Kiersa has a point. There's nothing in the desert that could have taken down their ship mid-flight like that. Whatever it was, came from the other direction. Which means we are uncomfortably close to it, but it also means we have a good chance of finding what did this. Rubbing the back of his neck, he let out a breath. Looking around the room, he saw a group of strong, competent mages. Mages who would be willing to risk it all for their guild mates, their family. It reminded him of why he joined the guild back in the day. Now, he had a family of his own, and it didn't just include Infinity Hydra, but Sabertooth as well. Well, we can stand around talking about it until the cows come home, but we need a plan. We're probably all in agreement it is some sort of beast that did this. Now either it has some seriously long ranged, high intensity fire power, or it's capable of flight. Tapping his finger against the table, he gritted his teeth a bit before nodding. It's safe to assume the latter, so our ships could prove useful. Looking up to Fred, he folded his pale arms and a smirk crossed his lips. I'm a guild master, but this isn't my guild. This is yours. Your guild is going to need a leader. You summoned us here, so it should be you. I'll follow you into Hell, friend. It was time to make a decision. They likely did not have much time, but it was important to be made now. The safety of the guild and the townspeople was at stake, not something he imagined was taken lightly by anyone in this room. So it was time.

Ryo listened very carefully to what everyone else said as he had his own ideas. He managed to hear what the nun had said but he was certain that it wasn’t anything as serious as all of that. He walked over to the map watching where everyone was pointing and looking at. He finally nodded his head in agreement with the assessment and once everyone was done speaking he took his turn “Our investigation, however covert it must be, will have to start there. We know where an attack from a local predator, or animal would’ve had to come from. I’ve been to that god forsaken desert far too many times, and I know that there are no animals capable of bringing that airship down, or capable of flight for that matter. It just can’t sustain that kind of life. However, if there are a lack of bodies…that may be a good reason why.”

He gently placed a hand on Kiersa’s shoulder shaking his head “It isn’t likely to be the black one. Despite the fact that he is still lurking around the world, and so are his followers it isn’t likely, or we would’ve heard some news of a sighting by now. He isn’t one to go unnoticed by anyone who is within at least fifty miles of a local.” He glances over Kite finally saying simply “She was speaking of the great Black Dragon. He would certainly have more than enough power to easily obliterate the airship. Still, we can’t rule out that perhaps one of his servants did this. The servants I have fought were insanely powerful, and I wouldn’t put it past them to be capable of such a feat as this.”

With Ardere speaking to Frederick bringing up what the Card King also thought. He turned to Frederick nodding his head lightly “From what I’ve been keeping track of only you and I are strong enough to protect this guild Frederick. Between the two of us however, only you have experience running a guild as its master, and whether you like it or not your reputation is powerful enough to keep plenty of lesser threats to the guild from being so foolish to side against us in this war we are now fighting. I say that you are the only logical choice for this guild’s future Frederick.” He then walked over to his friend and pulled up a tarot card with his image on it throwing it into the table in front of him “You’re my friend Frederick. You saved my life once, and it’s due to this that I know Sabertooth would be best served under your leadership. You have my vote, and all the power at my disposal. Just give the orders and I will follow them unto whatever end may finally come for me.”

When Ryo confirmed what Kiersa was thinking, Frederick couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as both of them were speaking of a singular being so strong and so deadly, that most people associated that beast with calamity itself. In fact nothing ever before had caused so much destruction then that wretched monstrosity, not even Frederick himself during his reign back at Savage Skull.

'Please, nobody has seen on that winged disaster for several years now. Not since it has emerged at Era and laid the entire city to ruin. It's probably somewhere far away by now, hiding in some remote inhabitable mountain ridge. Hunting local wildlife or whatever wild beasts do.'

Almost blaming as if the two were lying, Frederick didn't hid the fact that he disapproved of such an theory. He'd even went as far as insinuating that the being they were talking about was nothing more then some sort of crazed animal. No, he would refuse to believe such a thought, it was nothing more then a beast... dragon or not.

The conversation went on, and eventually they came to the other big issue that was already on everyones minds. The future of the guild itself. Until now they had been talking about the possibilities of whatever it was that had taken down Hikari and Pein, yet somehow refrained from the sensitive topic of the vacant throne their guild master now had left behind.

'You can't be serious' responded Frederick a bit irked. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, out of nowhere Ardere came with the most ludicrous of suggestions to fill the open void Hikari left behind. One that Frederick definitely didn't agree with. And not only that, Ryo jumped in on that suggestion as well. Sure it was honor that they would think that way, kind of flattering even. But in reality, it wasn't the best of choices.

'Ryo.. it's just as you said. My reputation is powerful but not in the good way. I am not an hero like Shuhei or that blue haired brat from Fairy Tail. In fact I am quite sure that none of you can exactly phantom the crimes I've committed, believe me, the things you might have heard about me are just the tip of the iceberg... so having someone like me in charge of the the guild will not just complicate matters  with other guilds, but also puts the rest of Sabertooth in peril'
