    Job Information:

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
Overlaid by worn boots, feet motioned casually up the steps towards two large doors. It had been at least two days since she had last been here, venturing far off into the town of Magnolia for the sake of injured people. Elderly with joint problems, hard-working men who earned wounds by the dangers of mountain slopes, and children with fevers or colds. Despite the Mountain people having many vast kinds of herbs, and the obvious solution of using magic to solve all problems, the blonde felt she had done all of this for the mer intention of getting away. Escaping into the depths of the forest, lulled over by the calming silence of isolation. Of course, she was not alone. Little orange had pursued her, irritated over the fact that she was traveling far off from the village nestled in the Mountains, to gather herbs for the sake of humans. It disgusted him, enraged him. So much, that by the time they had reached their destination, he wandered off like a child throwing a tantrum. Meandering straight into the guild of Fairies, and utterly wrecking their kitchen.

A sigh brushed past her lips at the memory of this incident, opening one of the double doors as Kurama crammed forcibly between her legs and into the guild. "I'm so hungry!" he growled, the wooden structure shrilling out behind her as it closed shut. "At least your stomach is big.." mumbling out the insult, large vermillion ears flickered back, evidently regarding her comment, crimson pools glaring up at the set of striking indigo. "What was that!?" teeth bared, voice raised loudly, she loitered right by him, neglecting his constant need to pick a fight. Especially with anything that would react. Kurama was lucky that she was the most patient and unlikely individual to get mad. Despite being around her more than anybody else, he never once lay witness to her smile, tears or anger. She was utterly expressionless. Even just wondering what she thought about was impossible. "Thank you though, because of that ability of yours, travel is much easier." descending into the stool, aside an empty wooden table, exposed forearms inclined against the structure, forehead lowering to rest against her folded arms.

"Hmph! Whatever!" the puny canine snorted, briefly turning his head to the side. When the blonde fell silent, his gaze wandered towards her. Is she sleeping!? A single bead of sweat formed along the smooth orange coat, curiosity drawing him towards the top of the table, next to her head. "Hey! Wake up!" nudging the young-woman slightly with the edge of his nose, all in respond was the quiet breathing of evident slumber. Tch! At least go to bed you idiot! Convincing himself with a crude behaviour, the demon curled up beside her, also dozing off. It seemed their travel had indeed tired them out.

sorry for the crapiness! lets get dis job started B)

Soren sighed.  Even after walking around the guild multiple times for the past few days, he still couldn't figure its ins and outs, so he wasn't sure where he was going...  He didn't even get a proper guide; he barely was able to find where he could sleep, too.  However, what was the occasion?  Why should one as great as Soren go through the struggle of walking around, appearing as though he was searching for...  Something.  Well, he was.  To be more precise, he was searching for someone.  Eve...  Fray...  Something something.

He was given a task by his guildmaster, one that sounded simple and ridiculous, but was absolutely forced to go with someone, probably to get to know some of his guild mates better, not something he was too fond of, but he had the desire to leave a good first impression, so he took on the request.  He had a description of how the woman, yes, his partner was a woman, looked like, but the problem came in actually finding her.  He looked thoroughly through the guild, yet, was unable to find her.

With another sigh, he decided it would be time for a break, and went to the inn of Infinity Hydra...  Only to sigh once more, but a deep sigh.  He found the woman he was looking for, but, asleep, alone.  She was resting on a chair next to a wooden table.  He walked over quickly and took his seat on the stool opposite of her, slamming the palm of his hand on the wooden table.

The girl would be awakened abruptly, and in what she probably found an annoying fashion, too, but Soren didn't care; she'd be greeted by his signature half, cocky grin.  He then slid his hand to make it horizontal, so he'd have his hand ready for a shake.  "The name is Soren; Soren Hex.  There's a matter of 'great importance' that I must attend to, and I need you to come with me.  The less time we waste waiting here, the better."

What an adventure this would be.

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
Just as she felt the far-off voices of guild-members talking, lulled gradually into the silence of sleep, the table shook abruptly against the force of an open palm. The loud smack; close to her ears, resounded her back into reality with a jolt of startle-ment, wondrous indigo gems peering up towards the stranger whom sat so carelessly before her. Messy blonde hair, a bit darker than her own, framed his face; bright blue eyes clashing arrogantly against her own gaze as she observed him briefly, unfazed by his immoral way of making an appearance. Orangey was already on the floor, more appalled by such an unannounced entrance that he was just finding it an endeavour to just stand to his feet; dizzy and in pain. "Great importance?" the young woman said, voice delicate and emotionless. She already presumed that perhaps the Master had yet again, assigned her on a mission with an absolute stranger. Going out of her way to avoid people, including guild-members, was something the god slayer did frequently. It would not surprise her if this was Ardere's way of getting her to meet people, or more unexpectedly; make friends.

With a sigh, the chair slid back against the floor, Natsu disembarking onto her feet once more. "Lead the way then, Soren." deciding to save the questions for a later date, or just, follow along solemnly, the fox lastly regained the ability to speak. "What the hell! We just came back from Magnolia! Why would you follow along some stupid human! One you don't even know!" vermillion fur raised barely in vexation, mostly glaring up at the blonde, yet, intentionally insulting the male. "If you're so concerned why don't you come along?" she questioned, looking down at Kurama as he growled towards her, nine-tails wavering out behind his form. Irises, in the shape of cat-like slits, veered over to the side, as if pouting like a child who refused to admit he was sorry, let alone, what he truly desired. "Hmph! Fine, I will!" despite being tired a few seconds before, his energy had returned in the blink of an eye. It seemed the fox was not to keen on leaving her alone with this.. filthy homo sapien.

excuse this dreadful excuse for a post, had to rush a little bit.

Soren would've normally said something to someone, or in this case, something that lashed out on him for no particular reason at all, or lashed out him, in this case, but decided against it; a habit he has is always leaving a good first impression.  Speaking of first impressions, the one he got from the female wasn't particularly a good one.  She was drop dead gorgeous, but that's about all she had to her; she was completely expressionless, and her words didn't carry any emotion that Soren could feel.  Either she was incredibly bad at showing both of those things, or she wasn't in a good place in her life...  Then again, it could be the way she was brought up.  Many possible answers, but only one appeared to be reasonable.

He sighed as he lead the way to the train station which they would use to get to Rose Garden.  "You probably have some questions, huh?  One of which is probably 'why the hell did this creep tell me to follow him?'.  Well, the answer is quite simple; we're 'behind the scenes bodyguards'.  A woman fell in love with a man, and they're getting married.  Ex-boyfriend doesn't take too kindly to that, and apparently is going to try to foil the wedding.  Our job is to stop that."  He took a small pause, scratching the side of his head.  He wasn't entirely sure what to make of this woman quite yet.

"The ex-boyfriend has hired quite a few goons to help him out.  Some use magic, others don't.  He himself is a somewhat formidable mage, so don't take him too lightly if you see him."  He took another pause.  "You don't seem to happy to see me, and quite frankly, I'm not so sure I'm too happy to see you, too; Ardere gave me this job...  Told me I had to do it with you." he said honestly and bluntly, completely forgetting his "first good impression" rule, giving in to his brutally honest rule.  He turned around and gave her yet another cheeky, cocky half grin, extending his hand forward as he continued to walk backwards for a handshake.

"But, that doesn't mean it has to stay that way, so let's try to get along...", his grin appeared to have stretched ever so slightly longer, "...shall we?"

    And they reached the station.

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
Letting Soren lead the way, the blonde hounded behind him silently. Thankfully there was a station nearby that would take them straight towards their destination, the travel by foot unnecessary in this situation for once in her life. Usually she wasn't one to take the train. The long way, more or less isolated, was the route she usually stuck by. But this time, she was way to tired to persist going there on foot instead. Besides, even if they did end up choosing that path, their client's wedding would be foiled by the time they got there. Listening to him as he spoke, captivating pools facing towards the frayed ground, it almost appeared as if she weren't even listening at all; never once looking towards him. She wore no expression of anger, happiness nor' sadness. But instead, seemed calm, relaxed almost. To Kurama on the other hand, she appeared uninterested, mundane to this side of her since it was the only side he had ever gotten to meet.

At the remark of dislike, her gaze lastly lifted into his direction, as if confounded that the young-man was so blunt. "Do I come off that way?" she questioned, not recalling that she had ever mentioned not being happy to see him. Well, of course she wasn't, she didn't even know him. She was tired and truthfully lacking the energy to head out on another mission so soon. If she had the choice to head back right now she probably would have, but, being scolded by Ardere for not even helping out a guild-member seemed even more uninviting then just doing this. A sigh left her lips, barely audible as she briefly closed her eyes and came to a stop a few feet before him. Soren already had turned around and held out his hand again, and she could truly tell that he did want to get along with her on this job. After all, what was the point in holding a grudge against each-other because first impressions had gone appalling. Her own hand stretched over his own, motioning a quick hand shake as she smiled ever so slightly; as fleeting as the passage of falling stars. "Of course." and then the three continued on.

Soren gave her a proper smile when Evelyn had given him the hint of a smile.  He wasn't sure if it was genuine, or if she was even capable of showing emotion, but it was the beginning.  The beginning of what?  Well...  Even the blonde haired male wasn't too sure himself, but he got the feeling it was the beginning of something.  They reached the station and found the train they were looking for, boarding it and waiting silently for the train to begin its destination.

When it began, however, Soren didn't say anything at all.  In fact, he still wasn't entirely sure what to say to this woman; yes, he was genius, but this was the first time he had encountered a person exactly like Evelyn, so he wasn't too sure what would be the best to do.  He would only say anything if she asked him any questions, in which he'd respond appropriately, but, other than that, he would remain silent as he looked out of the window, taking a small sigh.

He saw all of the greenery and the areas that have yet be to explored properly, which brought a faint smile on his face.  One day...  Soon...  I'll get there.  When they reached Rose Garden, and left the station, on their way towards the wedding, Soren decided to speak.  "So, tell me a bit about yourself.  If we're gonna be team mates, you gotta open up to me, even if it's just barely.  Anything will suffice, really, but the more, the better!"  He would've talked about himself first, normally, but felt it would be good to let her do the talking.  Then again, he could be wrong, too.

It was time for an experimental stage, after all.

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
As they boarded the train, it was a speechless and rather mute ride, bright pools of ocean blue peering over to the side of the window. Landscape was all that enthralled her boredom; lush fields of green, dry hills of dusty land and the lengthed hollow of towering trees. Everything passed by in the flutter of an eye, Kurama, the bright orange mound of fur, curled up beside her, descending into slumber once more. As much as her eyes felt heavy, urging the young-woman to also stumble forth into sleep, she had not been as keen to pass out just about anywhere compared to earlier before. Although she never dared to admit it, there was a security within that place; within the guild that could be considered home. After all, she had no trouble falling asleep against the hard uncomfortable table for all to see. Some may of took this chance to do something to her, yet, despite the possibilities, Natsu felt safe regardless. Her gaze diverted towards the sudden weight against her lap, looking down to see the fox resting his head comfortably against her, a string of drool creeping past the corner of his maw. Unconsciously, a single hand extended towards the head of the canine, stroking him almost carefully as he slept. Does Kurama feel that way too? She thought, deeply pondering if such a hateful creature could ever have such emotions, or openness towards humans.

She knew nothing of the fox's past. Where he came from, what happened to him. Why did he loathe the existence of humans so much that he would intentionally push one off a cliff if he had the chance too. All of it was a mystery to her. Then again, he knew nothing of her as-well. The only source of information they had on each-other was their behaviour, what they liked and disliked. As the vermillion haired girl found herself deep in thought, the train abruptly halted to a stop, crimson pools blinking hesitantly open as the hand; covered by a fingerless glove, casually shifted from the fox and back to her side. The three disembarked from the station, entering into the festivity of Rose Garden; a city that was always overflowing with life and colour. Perceiving the familiarity of Soren's voice, captivating orbs glanced over at the blonde for a few seconds, uneased by his question as she faced the opening ahead. "Uh, well, I'm nineteen years old." liar. She couldn't help but mentally curse herself for spilling out such a lie, eventually, they would all find out that she was definitely not capable of the thing known as growing. "And, I'm actually, a.. slayer." with a pause, she corrected herself, "..A thunder slayer.." this was awkward. At least, she felt it was. Natsu was not very used to talking about herself, letting alone, telling people about herself. "What about you?" routing out the escape of putting attention onto the male, she awaited perhaps a long self-conceited story to roll out from his lips.

Soren gave her a somewhat impressed look; more of an "I approve" look when she spoke of both her age and magic.  He could, however, tell she wasn't used to speaking about herself.  It was painfull obvious to someone as brilliant as Soren, and while he did want her to get more used to doing so, he would give her a small break in regards to that.  "Well!  My magic...  Is kind of complicated.  To begin with, I don't actually have much magical energy, so I have to be very conservative as to how much I expend with my spells.  That tends to cause them to be unstable."  Soren wasn't wearing his gauntlet at the time, and so extended out his arm an opened the palm of his hand as they continued on their way.

After a second, a brilliant colour of blue energy emerged in what appeared to be the shape of an arrow, but its form was constantly getting brighter, fading, bigger, smaller, etc. and he grabbed ahold of it, causing his palm to bleed slightly.  "It's so unstable, in fact, that it can even hurt me."  He crushed it in his hand and then took out his gauntlet and put it on, clenching his fist in confidence.  "So, I used my brilliance to make this!  It makes sure that I can use minimal magical energy and still refine it enough to make it stable."  He extended his arm and palm out again, creating another arrow, but this time, very clearly defined.  "And this is the result.  As to what my magic is..."

Soren quickly created his signature blue short bow and instantly fired a shot into the distance, bringing the arrow back to his hand when it traveled full distance.  "...I control over the Arcane."  He instantly made the two dissipate into thin air.  "Also, seems like I'm older than you!  Though, it might not look like it..."  It was true; Soren was older than he looked, which caused him to let out a small sigh. The reasoning as to why had him worried yet again, but he'd never show it; he gave her a cheeky half, cocky grin once more. "You're finally here!", came a distant voice, somehow assuming they were the ones for the job.

They arrived to where the afterparty would be.

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
Mentally rejoicing that the subject of attention; previously settled on her, had now relocated onto Soren, caused a soft sigh to brush past her lips, lashes fluttering briefly into darkness. The fox paraded close by her feet, and she could almost hear his thoughts of frustration bubbling up within every stumble and discontent that came within the endeavour of avoiding large human feet. A single hand, overlaid by a glove, yet, exposing fingers; grasped onto the bundle of nine fluffy tails, using what may of been like hauling somebody up by their spine, placed the tiny demon onto her shoulder. "Wha—!" with a thump against the warmth of another, Kurama found himself unfamiliar with this sudden seating arrangement; hushed by the consideration of kindness, and the view of Rose Garden's enthralling evening lights. Regard for the story down-casted a similar gaze of royal blue towards the flare of azure that danced wildly in the palm of his open hand. She was enticed by the allure of such a bizarre magic, curiosty reeling her in like a fish snagged on the hook of a line. Not a word uttered out, thoughts pulling her barely from reality into the wonder if she had perhaps seen such a thing before. Features lay expressionless, vivid with a seeming innocence as the fake of a youth observered mutedly; loitering casually alongside the blonde. The Arcane..? Naked lids slid over the pools of twin oceans, brows furrowed just barely; that before a single soul could see, the expression was gone as fleeting as the passing of stars.

At the referral of him being more older than her, she glanced into his direction, enrapturing that small, yet, almost mind-puzzling sigh that disemarked from the safety of lungs. The outlandish longing to know more ravaged within her mind, ceased into the charm of what almost felt like a reassuring smile. It's none of my buisness anyway. I shouldn't care. The crown lowered, facing the cobble-stone ground, frayed by age and the wearing of frequent shoes. Traces of movement were felt faintly behind the skull; flags of orange, nine in suit, swaying out behind her shoulder. It seemed Kurama was enjoying this trip rather quietly all of a sudden. Drowsiness was her most acceptable reason for his composed demeanour. An opposing force to the usual firey heart of the demon. The stranger of a woman abrubtly advanced towards the two, giddy smile curled perfectly onto her lush lips; man of her generation jogging up behind her, out of breath and seemingly concerned. "I-I told you to wait for me!" he huffed, outstretched fingers writhed against the upper knee, shoulders arised then lowered. "But, look! They made it!" the woman beamed, taking Natsu's hands into her own, features paling slightly. "Huh—?" who the hell were these two? Pale blue orbs glanced helplessly into the direction of her team-mate, hoping he may of had an answer to this situation.

for some reason i seem to have a much better muse at night when it comes to writing. hope you liked it B')

Soren couldn't help but laugh when Evelyn was being dragged away by the bride; she really wasn't good with people, and so he just gave her a wink, basically saying "It's alright".  He just followed them along as they entered the area where the bride would begin getting ready, but she wasn't getting ready quite yet.  "I'm happy you two could make it!  As you probably know...  My psycho ex-boyfriend is most likely going to try to ruin this wedding, so we need you to stop them from doing that!  There is only one way he can possible enter, and that's where there'll be the afterparty; the front has enough guards that he wouldn't dare go through that way.  Make sure that he doesn't ruin the wedding!  With, err...  Minimal damage, if possible."

"I don't understand why you won't just let me take care of it...", the groom mumbled, to which she just put a finger on his lips to shush him.  "It's our wedding day.  You need to enjoy it properly without having to fight anyone."  Soren sighed, but in a good manner.  "Leave it to us, there won't be a problem." he said as he motioned Evelyn with his hand to follow him.  "Getting married...  Pretty big commitment, huh?  I'm not entirely sure I'd be ready for that commitment..." he would lay both of his hands behind his head as he spoke to his team-mate, "...but the love might be interesting.  Maybe I should try it at some point." He turned to face her, "What about you? Think you'd ever have an interest in loving someone, or something?"

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
Conscious over the set of words; psycho ex-boyfriend and wedding, struck a cord of realization within her memories, vividly recalling that they were meant to be here for such an event. Hands withdrew from the other, woman, of a bemused demeanour, stepping next to the man she would perhaps spend the rest of her life with. A reared gesture, symbolizing the meaning of follow, vermillion locks, lengthed; twirled out behind a figure of charm, pursuing behind the blonde, and out of the room. "Yeah.." with a mumble to the sudden comment of liability, footfalls resonated off from the solid ground, inlaying the three in a brief silence, before the partner spoke yet again. The inquest left a mind utterly blank, deeper shade of ocean clashing against the set that appeared almost luminous; eventually facing the front. How many times had she loved someone? Family, was an entirely divergent subject, an affection not similar to that of a woman and a man. When reflecting back on the past, every love that had formed, shattered into the fray of anguish, desolating her alone and without the faces she once yearned to see. Insightful that the flaw of openness had ended with betrayal, concluded her thoughts with a simple answer. She was not meant love anybody. After all, in a world crowded by mortals, how could one whom was incapable of taking death by the hand, live normally like everyone else?

"I don't know..." the counter to his query came, cords strung softly in an expression of what seemed to be something nostalgic. Senses tingled at the kickback of magical energy, looming out a few yards into the distance as the mood severed. Booted feet gradually slowing to a halt. "They're coming." no other explanation, captivating pools scanned tentatively into the crowds of people; like a pride of feral cats stalking through the tall dry grass, Natsu could clearly identify the group as they moved. Destination, the room with the bride and groom. Orangey leapt off the comfort of a shoulder, back of the coat bristling upward towards the tension that deluged around them. Kurama? The familiarity of a bright light rushed forth from the puny fox, spilling out into the area as a form that was once tiny, became something much larger. Fangs bared, low growl rumbling forth; the guests screams erupted into the area, alarming the innocents as they disembarked from the wide opening of an afterparty room, leaving behind the group of ex-boyfriend's ploy. She could only smile within her thoughts, at the demon's brilliant idea of unraveling their cover.

ugh crappyyyyyy. anyway lets kick ass.

Soren remained silent after Evelyn answered his question.  He was slightly disturbed by what she said; well, not so much what she said, but how she said it.  Before he could say anything else, however, the sounds began; they were coming, but...  It was quite unusual.  With how big the band were described to be, their footsteps shouldn't of been making that much noise.  It was quite odd, however, as the footsteps drew closer and closer, he basically confirmed that the group of thugs and ex-boyfriend had to be bigger than what they thought.

    3...

    2...

    1...

    BAM!

Two doors completely opposite of each other were slammed open.  "BABY!  I'M HERE!" and "HONEY!  PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" were shouted by two men, each with their own group of thugs...  Who appeared...  Very similar to one another...  And the group the men were with facepalmed, while Soren couldn't help but laugh so loudly, and for so long, that all eyes were on him now.  "Oh...  Oh man...  Oh geez...  This can't be for real..."  The two men looked at him oddly, but the group(s) they were with knew exactly what was going on, like Soren.

"Don't you get it?  You're both former lovers of the woman getting married!"  The two men, directly across the room from one another, stared at each other with a blank expression for several moments, and then the one from the left door began screaming in a rage, staring at his hands before looking at the other ex-boyfriend.  "Y-you...  YOU!!!!!!!!!  GET THEM BOYS!"  the other ex-boyfriend wasn't happy at all, but didn't react in the same matter the other did.  "LEAVE NO TRACE OF THESE IDIOTS!", he bellowed.

The band of thugs looked at each other hesitantly, before one of the ex-boyfriends pummbled in the face of one of them, and with that, the whole battle began.  He quickly dashed out of the way of danger; he had to evaluate the situation properly. "Total anarchy...", he mumbled to himself, his signature cocky half grin appearing on his face.

    "...perfect."

    AND THE STARS,
    THEY'LL GUIDE ME HOME.
The presence of the opposers became known; deep blues enlarging to the twist of not one, but another ex, both calling out loudly into the room. As if their entrance had not been known by the slam of a door, the two look over at each-other; confusion drawn into their narrowed eyes. The situation became clear to her in an instant, and now that all the facts hesitantly retreated into her mind, she couldn't help but let out a sigh - Soren's laughter flooding into the awkward silence that had lulled over the area. A single bead of sweat assembled by the temple of her grown, lashes fluttering down as a brow twitched slightly. Although she did not show it so much, irritation did indeed greet her emotions, Kurama more quick to jump forward with rage as he stood there next to Soren, another growl shifting out from his maw. Either they were to sit back and watch these two handle the situation themselves, or, they would have to deal with now two groups of thugs rather than just one. Sticking to the sidelines of silence, lips were left motionless as the blonde remarked what was going on to their enemies, a slowly building rage extending towards the two as what had once been confusion, eventually became realization. The three lurched back as the battle that had been meant for them, became a show instead, Soren evidently bemused by this turn of events whilst she watched almost dumbfoundedly.

"This is ridiculous.." words meant to her ownself, the vermillion-haired woman glanced over her shoulder, "I wonder if there is anything to drink around here.." not exactly one to stick around when something so aimless was going on, her presence disappeared elsewhere, the fox desolated with the smelly homo sapien; another growl retreating from his large maw. "God dammit! I've had it! Are all humans just fucking stupid!?" the demon loathed the idea of being in the same room with such foul creatures, let alone working with one. Crimson gems looked over at the blonde from the corner of his large large eyes, a thought crossing over his mind. "Hey you. Yeah, you, small fry." with a pause he pointed towards the group of thugs, "I bet you I can beat more of them, than you. Or perhaps you're to afraid to go up against me?" arrogant as always, the demon had absolutely no idea that the human he was speaking to was not the type to stray far from challenge. Let alone, they were identical when it came to one thing. And that.. was their ego. Meanwhile the slayer was nosily peeking through cabinets in the back, eventually finding a cheap bottle of sake as she sat on the counter, one leg folded over the other. It may of tasted bland, but it was better than nothing.

ugh this is crap and it's almost 2am. yes natsu has ditched you and kurama to go find something to drink, alcohol strangely motivates or puts her in a good mood, rather than making her drunk.

Soren couldn't help but continue laughing at the situation; it was simply ridiculous.  They didn't even have to do any work; the whole "party" would do it for them.  He would've liked to just watch the chaos ensue, but, the annoying fox, who was now incredibly big, had spoken to him.  "Me?  Afraid?  Against you?"  Soren made sure to take a brief look at the fox before laughing again, wiping away a tear.  "Nah, not at all.  I think it might be better I refrain from taking in this 'competition' of yours, however.  You're too one dimensional, you don't think well enough, your techniques are most likely predictable, and overall you're probably...  Stupid.  The only thing that you really have as an ace is your size and everything that comes with it, and probably a few magical tricks."

He would've been nicer about it, but the blasted creature had already annoyed him before, and Soren really enjoyed working on the principle of "Two strikes and you're out".  He yawned and as he did so, one of the bodies flew at him, and he responded by simply kicking it back into battle, and he looked for a nice seat to rest at.  He knew that they'd eventually realize that fighting amongst themselves are completely stupid...  Or so he was hoping, and so that he had to keep up his guard at all times; the corner of his eye caught Evelyn drinking some alcohol, causing him to sigh.  He didn't take her as a drunkard, but, to each their own thing.

What to do, what to do?

Two large years lurched briefly to the side, reacting to the humming sound of a voice that tolled out in a tone as vulgar as his own. Or rather, maybe it was the fact the human had responded so boringly it almost reminded him of Eve. A low growl sounded against the cords of the large beast, fangs, barely tinted by crimson stains naked to the sight as the fox took a step forward. "Hmm, I'm not surprised, you judge only what you see human. I'll have you know I'm much more smarter than you!" as the demon glared down at the blonde, a cynical grin writhed casually along the corners of his maw, attention diverted suddenly towards the aimless battle before them — almost struck by a human body. "Thats it! These fleas are going to get squashed!" motion beginning to advance, the broad demon was interrupted by the firm grip along one of his tails. A tightening hold that was enough to send a shiver teeming hesitantly across his spine, line of sight peering over his shoulder to see that idiot vermillion-haired girl. Fingers that had once writhed against the mound of fur, loosened hesitantly before gliding across the orderly coat of orange — standing in between the blonde and the demon with her gaze scanning out into the conflict of thugs. Most of the young men, prior to entering this room, were now laying on the floor unconscious and wounded. The main spotlight set downward on the two ex-boyfriends, both oddly enough, using wave magic. Perhaps the bride had a thing for mages?

"Just wait." a second passed, then another. It occurred to the pair, that prior to loosing most of their men, they should've been working together. Brutal clash of ocean waves lumbering gradually into the sudden silence that lulled over the area. The demon couldn't help but tense as their heed, previously aimed on brawl, shifted towards them instead - delinquents in every shape and form seen through his large crimson eyes. "And here I thought I would just get to sit back and watch them do my work for me." a sigh brushed past lush lips, lashes fluttering downward.

Idiocy was a nuisance. Work a drag.
The calling of angered voices erupting a single nerve to twitch.
It would've been nice to be paid just for living.

"Oi! You three! You did this on purpose, huh!?" one of them said, the other, jumping straight-on into the joyous event of conflict. "Honey must of hired them! She's always had an eye for brilliant mages!" crown raised, smiling proudly. It almost disgusted her own vain the man was. Pale red shifted out behind the moving figure whom stopped a few lengths away from the two, one gloveless hand placed lazily against her hip. "You idiots. Don't you know when to give up?" with a pause, piercing blues sharply peered into the direction of the seemingly pair of thug like leaders, "You both realize she doesn't like you anymore, right? Or are you both too stupid to comprehend such a simple fact?" from confident to shocked, the two fell silent.

Tension deluged into the wide room.
Noiseless rage a mer intuition as a single sentence tumbled into the pause.
    They didn't care.

"That bastard Goldstar is tricking our honey! We'll do anything to protect her, even if it means she'll hate us in the end!" a swarm of liquid assembled by their hands, the fluttering particles of magic energy shivering across her skin. Faint excitement building up within the wall around her heart. The  real battle was about to begin.

Post by Finale 6th January 2016, 11:25 pm

Soren simply yawned upon the reply made by the beast, making a Tch sound.  As I expected..., he thought to himself.  It'd be completely pointless to provoke or even talk to the gigantic baffoon after his suspicions were confirmed.  Just when he was about to leap into battle, however, Evelyn put a stop to that in the most ridiculous way possible that he couldn't help but snicker.  Not only did he get to see the fox creature embarrassed, but he also learned a very curious weak spot that it has, noting it in his mind for whenever he may need it.

Due to most of the commotion going on, a hefty bit of the hired mages were now on the ground; all of them were, as a matter of fact.  The fight had boiled down to the two ex-boyfriends, one of them very clearly in the lead, though the other wasn't too far behind.  It took them a while, but they realized that there was absolutely no point in fighting each other if they were going to be stopped by the peculiar assembled trio after they were beaten and tired.  "...Let us form a temporary truce, then." said the calmer one.  Evelyn exchanged a few words back and forth with the two ex-boyfriends, and when they were done, the room fell silent.

Soren took a step forward, but halfway through, he was charged by the enraged boyfriend, instantly closing the gap between them so quickly that even Soren couldn't see it and grabbed his neck with all of his strength, lifting him up and choking him of all life.  As he struggled in his grasp, trying to release himself from the young man's grip, he gave Soren a disgusting grin.  "You're weak.", he noted blankly.  "Die." and in an instant, he sent a massive amount of wave magic into Soren's body, in an attempt to nullify his magical energy from inside, trying to make him devoid of all magic in order to kill him.

And the worst part - there was nothing he could do.

The calmer boyfriend was already lifting chairs, tables, broken bottles and was throwing them towards Evelyn and the fox creature and was forcing himself onto them, so they weren't able to help Soren even if they wanted to, so all of the wave magic was pouring into his body, destroying and negating every trace of magical energy it could find; Soren cried out in agony, but, just as quickly as it had happened, it had ended, too.  The young man felt like he had done enough damage to Soren, and let go of his neck, causing him to land on his feet, though he was unconscious...

    ...Or was he dead...?

There was no life flickering in Soren's eyes, and his body was slowly moving backwards, falling.  The enraged boyfriend made a "Tch." sound, turning away and walking towards the second battle.  Soren's legs were cracking, and his hand almost shattered; he was disappearing, for one of the factors in keeping him in the world was magical energy.  Yet, something strange happened.  The inside of him was giving rather than taking, this time.  It knew that it was disappearing.

Disasters always give way to heroic moments and desperate times.

His body was filled with an enormous amount of magical energy, though not to his maximum, easily enough.  His eyes were flickering and adjusting to the newfound light, and halfway through his fall, he got back on his feet, completely covered in blood dripping from everywhere, and his shirt was torn from the previous attack.  The enraged boyfriend knew that something was odd, and turned around, shocked to see Soren alive.  "But...  You...  No!"  He was shaky, and with his bare hand, lifted it up and clenched his fist, giving the ex-boyfriend a huge half grin.

"...You've shown me your strongest attack, and now, I know your capabilities, too."  The enraged young man, despite being so angry, was very visibly shaken by what should of been the ghost of Soren.  "And now...  You will fall."  Creating his bow and single arrow, he got ready, and so did the boyfriend, but mentally, he was uncertain of himself.  All he needed was one hit, after all.

    But could he land it?

I WASTED MY TIME 'TIL TIME WASTED ME

    547 words for finale
    sorry for the delay!
Tension ascended in the silent atmosphere of the grand ball room, both sides at wonder to who would strike first. Well aware with the fact, that the opposers were leaders of their own gangs, had given her enough insight as to who would be the one to break the silence. Muscles flinched, a single foot jerking back, the current of water propelled towards not the both of them, but her in particular: Kurama hastily using himself as a shield against the allegedly harmless attack. Long claws tore at the floor as the wave enforced orangey to slide back, knocking straight into Natsu as the two were throttled to the other side of the room, buffeted by chairs and tables along the way.

"What? Are you all bark and no bite?" the calmer of the trio said, approaching the two of them casually as they stood back up. Vermillion fur hung low on the beast, pearly whites bared with a thundering growl that rumbled into the air. Marble floor shimmered in a sign of water, elemental advantage highly coming in hand. Ocean blues peered over to the opponent, features as stoic as ever before a familiar voice, cried out in agony, pulling away her attention for a split second as the familiarity of a blonde was held upward in a choking grasp. Booted feet unconsciously moved forward, the set of royal irises brought suddenly back to the other one in-front of her, as she was nearly struck by a wave hefty enough to slice at the solid floor. "Hey, thats rude. Pay attention to me will yah." the man hissed through his teeth, as if endeavouring not to yell but stay calm — compared to his newly formed partner whom appeared the exact opposite. A soft frown approached her features, glanced towards Kurama. If it had been anybody else, she might of asked for his help already, but, it was already visible that the large fox would be doing nothing but slipping and falling over the place.

"Go and help him. You're useless over here." the words left an immediate irritation trickling up the spine of the large beast, large crimson pools clenched in anger as he took a step towards Natsu, "What was that!?" he growled, as if expecting her to change her mind or at least grow the slightest intimidated by his size. Though, a part of him already knew, that despite all that, there was no way somebody like her would falter so easily. The fox jerked slightly as she glanced over her shoulder to look at him. "You'll just get in my way. Leave." like a master to a servant, large ears hesitantly fluttered back, having no room to bicker in this situation, let alone, disagree; he turned towards the other battle, pouting like a child. Midway through his brief travel towards the blonde and the idiot delinquent, the beginning of an arrow engaged the demon's attention. Instinct pushing him forwards with an abrupt burst of energy, the human to distracted by the offence in-front of him to notice the large fox quickly advancing as well. Maw outstretched, fangs dug swiftly into the flesh of his upper half, holding him there as the arrow landed almost perfectly into the target of his heart.

ALL I ASK OF YOU IS BELIEVE
    PHARAOH LEAP.

As Soren shot the arrow, his eyes narrowed down from pure exhaustion, so when he found out that the shot had actually landed, he was incredibly surprised, perfectly in the chest, too.  Fortunately enough, it didn't actually kill the boyfriend, but rather knocked him unconscious; he had no intention to actually kill the man to begin with, so instead, he used an arrow that was slightly weaker.  When he discovered that he was assisted with this shot, however, he wasn't happy, but knew it wouldn't be worthwhile complaining about whilst Evelyn was fighting her own battle against the more "docile" boyfriend.  Energy surged within him and he found a way to leap over the flying chairs and tables into the battlefield, kicking on the the chairs straight at the boyfriend from behind, which hit him in the back of the head, causing him to stumble, though he very quickly recovered.

He gave the boyfriend a cocky grin, basically saying "What're you going to do now?".  He replied with a snicker, water particles forming around Soren in a needle-like fashion.  Using Arcane Shift to position himself five meters to his left, Soren stumbled forward slightly, his fatigue becoming evident.  He had to hastily turn around upon the sound of a motion, for he was not facing the boyfriend, backstepping the majority of the fairly large water needles, one, however, piercing his shoulder which sent him back a foot, though he still was able to remain on his feet.  He was being incredibly stupid, however, because he wasn't paying too much attention to Evelyn as he was more focused on the hurt young man, or if he was, he was doing an incredibly good job of hiding it.

As the boyfriend looked at Soren with a cocky grin in his own right, Soren returned it, pulling out the water needle from his shoulder and throwing it to the side, extending his arm out and motioning a "Bring it on" with his hand.  He was being a distraction that was quite capable of taking the fight on his own, but it'd be incredibly difficult for him after nearly all of his magical energy was zapped out of his body by the previous attack of the other boyfriend.  He wouldn't be caught in it again, however.
