The sights, the sounds, it would all continue to be the same for a few hours, and still Leonard didn't move a inch. The only thing that did move was his cloak that fluttered freely in the wind, and his eyes moving up and down, and from side to side, gazing at different areas of his eyesight. Over the horizon, he eyed something dark, and moving with the with a little bit to his right, just enough for him to see without moving his head. He could see storm clouds brewing. Disturbing the mainland. Although it was only normal for this time of the year, Leonard couldn't help but feel a different storm force brew within. Something that draws him towards it. The eye of the storm? He was not close enough to say for certain, but his heart was pounding and his mind swirled. But these were thoughts for some other time so ha paid no heed to them, quickly casting them away to the dark recesses of what's left of his soul.
Hours passed and Leonard was still standing there, he might have grown roots already, his feet were beginning to hurt, but he must stand firm and fast if he will ever catch the B-Rank-to-be. The small, furry animals that aligned themselves to the cuter and kinder side of the animal wildlife of the island began to flock near him, sensing he was no threat. But how could that be if his aura gives off a hint of darkness? The answer was simple and he found it in his heart and on his back. He was Fairy Tail.
Minutes passed since Leonard was flocked by animals, that even some of them made their way to climb up to his shoulder, the one to take the test was yet to be found. For every 10 minutes that passed, Leonard would count... 2... 3... 4... Until he finally saw a ship moored at the port, he stopped counting every 10 minutes after that.
Out of the boat emerged a young lad, whom he was sure is the one to part take in this significant hurdle in his life. He was beginning to think of what the mage's reaction will be if he found out the he is giving the exam and not their master. There were too many thoughts and conclusions to mention that he did not have enough time to select the correct one from them because the test taker was already in front of him. The animals that flocked Leonard took a brief gaze at new comer and suddenly fled the scene, probably because they knew it's time to work. "First master um hello will you be giving my exam..." the mage said calmly.
Leonard slowly lowered his head to get a better look at the mage, starring at him from top to bottom. He wore a suite and tie. Very formal, and impressive. He could do battle and still look like a boss. The mage had a calm look on his face, but Leonard could see past that he was hiding other emotions.
Finally, Leonard moved after God knows how long. He lifted his foot from the rock and stepped on the soft grass in front of it, then his other foot followed. "That is correct, my son. You're very late. And for that you shall battle four more monsters in a total of 7." he said in reply in loud dark voice, booming a hint of authority to emphasize how serious he is like Darth Vader. Although he does hope he did not scare the young lad and continued talking. "Now, if you please follow me towards Dagob cave where we will conduct your exam." He turned to his right afterwards to step in the trail and walk towards the cave.
As they walked, they came across Founder's Valley. A tall pathway that greets people who would enter Dagob cave as this is the only way to access the cave. The trail inside the valley is adorned with statues on its sides carved from the natural cliff by Leonard himself. The cliff also has a few inscriptions carved on the cliff in the intervals between the statues. This is where he spent most of his alone time to contemplate and meditate, and then carve statutes. The statues were in the image of likeness of Fairy Tail's masters, towering in a height of 15 feet. The first two statues were his and Ebony's. The second set featured Ken, and Simon. And Ken's statue- which was the the right side, along with Leonard's - was another statue being constructed as evident by the woob planks and platforms with buckets of sparkling ornaments known as glitters around a stone base and legs that were already carved.
As they walked, Leonard would talk to him about the place in the tome he normally uses "This is Founder's Valley, my private sanctum in the island. Here you will find the men and woman who have guided and/or lead Fairy Tail to be the loving family it is now. It is also where I give my exams. Ahead of us is Dagob Cave. There your objective is simple. Find me. But as I have mentioned before, you will face 7 monsters who are sure to find you along the way." After he was done talking they arrived at the wide mouth of the cave, the entrance to the deep bowels of a huge mountain. It is here that Leonard equipped a sword, and a small dagger. He chose to ReQuip here because they won't be able to use magic once they enter due to the Null Field being set up, but he didn't tell him that. Afterwards, he turned to face the mage and said. "Now then, my child, tell me your full name so we can being."
