    Everything is Permitted:
    Job: Everything is Permitted

    Rank: B

Player Requirements: 2-4 Dark Mages, C-Ranks or higher.

Job Requirements: 15 Posts per player, 250 words per post min

Job Description: A Major of the Rune Knights is visiting his home town of River Village. I want you to kill him by any means necessary, you don't have to fight him head on. In fact I wouldn't recommend it, but it would be quite impressive if you did, it'd also be a great show of our power. In any case at the end of the day, The Major needs to be dead.

    Enemies:
Weak: 50 Civilians - A group of 50 civilians who will see a dark mage and instantly flee. Essentially a dummy roll.
    Attack: Flee

    Normal:
4 Rune Knights - Each of these takes a B rank hit to bring down
Attacks: Sword Slash - Basic Sword Slash

4 C-Rank Mages - Each of these takes a B rank to bring down. Their spells do C rank damage alone, but they will combine their spells to do B rank damage.
Attacks: Earth, Fire, Wind and Water mages.

Strong: 2 B-Rank Mages - Spells do B rank damage. They take five B ranks to bring down.
Attacks: Light mages who specialise in illusions

Boss: Rune Knight Major - The Major specialises in requipping various weapons, most notable spears and lances, and using powerful fire magic through them to devastate his opponents. He takes a full fifteen B ranks to bring down. He is an A rank mage and does B rank physical damage and A rank magical damage. However, if you sneak attack him then this is reduced to only 5 B ranks
    Attacks: Fire/Requip

    Reward: 15k per mage

There is nothing that perfection can attain
absolutely nothing, so what is the use of seeking it
when there is no more room for idea and creation?
    Such ideal is… mediocrity.

Dubhlainn makes his return to the guild riding on a cart pulled by a horse. The cart was wooden reinforced with steel as the empty contents reek the stench of those long dead, victims of the Azeron alliance, those who refused and denied the organization, betrayers, deserters some were journalists trying to gather information about the Dark Guilds others were just unfortunately souls who fell to the wrath of others because they refused to give in to demands.

Yes that is right; Dubhlainn is one of the few people who had volunteered to carry on the task of corpse disposal. He usually buries the dead in the silent cemetery and would offer them a short prayer devoted to all of them after their burial. Not only does his duty lies as Captain of the Guard and the servant of the Crawfords, such specialty extends even to this, though most would consider it a back water job. There was just one thing about Dubhlainn that seemed quite odd and its because nobody has seen the man fight and even if challenged he doesn’t use much magic even though it was obvious he was a mage.

“I’m just a man who so happens to possess magic a soldier blessed with it, I am not to be confused with a magus.”

That’s always his answer to those curious to ask him and some of those answers are variations of that statement.

Thorn's eyes shiftly over the hall her normal spot it was a extremely good viewing point she could watch the entrance hall keep an eye on people that came and went at the same time keeping a watch outside of the guild. She smirked softly as the plants told her of a guild members return and the stench was apparently quite revolting to them but it was how they new it was a guild mate and not an intruder. A small giggle flowed through her lips as she descended and walked gracefully walked out of the doors towards the waggon pulled by a horse, thorn tilted her head as her hand glided over the animal "what a lovely animal shame it is pulling that atrocity!" she stated lightly pointing to the waggon a sneer on her face as she thought of all those trees that where cut down for this thing.

Looking at Dubhlainn she smirked lightly "I can smell the sweet sent of death have you brought my plants fertiliser?" she asked softly walking close to Dubhlainn her eyes full of hope for the idea of fertiliser and bodies where the best thing for that. Thorn tilted her head "did you have a good hunt Dubhlainn?" she asked wondering how many people on the list he had manage to take out maybe he captured one of them to torture figure out what they knew and who they told. that would be helpful but not absolutely necessary she was shore they would figure it out without a captured person but it would not be half as fun.

Thorn was the first to greet him as he enters the Guild and draws a bag of goods he managed to acquire from Era. Unfortunately there were no contents in the cart other than the smell of corpses, as the cart comes to a full stop, Dubhlainn drops down and orders the men to separate the horse from the cart and pull the animalto the stable. "I'm fairly sure the Catacombs will suffice, unfortunately not many of us are even the least bit interested in volunteering to the depths to pull up fresh ones. You could have told me before I left, I would have prepared a body or two."

Dubhlainn doesn't usually go on around fiore hunting for Azeron's targets unless of course he is ordered to do so He prefers to avoid any unnecessary killing as much as possible, quite the oddball of a dark Mage he was, rather instead of masking it with a lie, he rather not say much about it. Dubhlainn more or less refused to answer questions such as the one Thorn asks and ignores it but it.

He only shook his head, telling thorn he hasn't been on a hunt.

"To my knowledge, the alliance is done sweeping for traitors and informants."

The goods in the bag was nothing more than stationary materials and more utensils for dining purposes. He is one of the many who contributes much to Savage Skull and its members. He also has his set of spare uniform, probably placed in inventory to avoid being stained by blood and have it not catch the stench of death. No one did see how Dubhlainn actually works outside the walls, perhaps it's time someone did.

Thorn laughed softly nodding her head when at the guild she was quite relaxed and more soft than most would expect expecially now the whole guild was in her hands even if it was a short amount of time. Sighing softly thorn looked over her shoulder at the dark guild the responsibility to keep the place in one peace weighed heavy one thorns shoulders in fact since she toke the rains she had not killed anyone witch she found a disappointing facter.

"you are right no one wishes to go down there not even me besides the body's down there would not be as fresh as the ones you would of brought back" She stated lightly her hand moved through her heir smoothing any strands out of place back where they belong.

Thorn smirked "there will always be someone out there gathering information and we would not now of a single leave in a forest full of then how can we spot the one person collecting information on us in the mass of people on this planet." she asked softly not really expecting a response "that is for a nother day to contiplate, the thing that I wonder about is you, no one she's you fight no one sees you do magic infact I dought anyone nows what magic you possess, so tell me why has no one joined you on a mission?" she asked lightly looking dubhlainn straight into his eyes. She wondered if he was just a lone walf of something more

He called on another soldier and ordered him to put the stationary and utensils in the right places, refilling the supplies needed for whatever purposes it may serve. Thorn seemed a bit amused of his answer, not that her reaction to it matters, perhaps thoughts intercepted her response. There was one thing that pleased Dubhlainn:

The guild stop devouring itself and started to flow in such fine matter but for how long? He wishes not his faction to degrade this way but unfortunately he cannot sway such nature.

Dubhlainn headed to the stables, a few short steps away in order to groom the stallion that pulled the cart here. Looking at Dubhlainn now it doesn’t seem like he shared such “Savagery” nature with others, more or less most would usually throw tantrums, give others the mean look or by simply jesting with one another just by looking into the heart of the matter.

He was just stone, there’s nothing to read of him either but that was the thing about him, what does he have to hide that he choose not to reveal? Crawford sure draws strange people as their servants. He pulled his sleeves as he draws a brush and damped it into the bucket of soapy water, proceeding to brush and groom his horse. His head slightly turned to Thorn.

“I would appreciate it if you choose not to devour this one.”
Thus Dubhlainn continued to wash the horse in cycles. To answer Thorn’s question he stopped for a moment only for the same thing to come out of his mouth.

“Because I told them, I’m just a soldier who only possessed magic.”

Thorn smirked raising an eyebrow this man was unlike anyone else in the guild he chose not to use his natural gift this was a surprising aspect about someone within a mages guild, she was curiuse about this person and him being so demanding to the solders fascinated her. In thorns eyes this man had not proven himself worthy of being in charge of such a potallian, this would have to change or she would have to find something else for him to do witch would just be a pain in the ass and far to much paperwork.

Shaking her head Thorn thought for moment then laughed softly at the thought thorn then looked to the guild hall she hoped to keep the guild the way it was to even maybe better it but that means reruting and having there name of savage skull feared once more but that is something to think about for another day. thorn laughed at the thought of devouring the horse "unlink my mentor or many of the guild members I do not devour something that is classed as precious to a guild member. she stated lightly placing a hand on the stallion she smiled kindly at it.

"that is enough of the pleasantries, I have a job for you and this one you wont be alown I am going with you so i can asses you, it could be one of the most important jobs you will take as it could effect where you stand in this guild!" she stated her eyes waiting to see if he accepts the statement and agrees to hear the job.

He drenches the brush again and continues grooming his horse, making sure not to harm it while doing so. He hesitated for a moment just as Thorn offered Dubhlainn a challenge that may involve a specific job for him to do. One thing he knows, Thorn isn’t a guildmaster but she is a pillar head. As the escort Dubhlainn must comply with the hierarchy’s needs, providing better security for the guild is one of them, bringing in supplies is another and serving as one of the Azeron’s undertakers is a voluntary task which of course he gets extra pay from. He did everything to contribute to Savage Skull and is already satisfied of his position but what more do they need from Dubhlainn?

Was all of this because of simple curiosity?

He continued to brush his horse and pet its head. “I understand.” He starts brushing to the other side of the horse; he was almost done with his chore.

Perhaps the overall reason why he wasn’t executed or killed off by the other members of the guild was because his contributions were beneficial. He cannot die just yet and not until his contract with the Crawfords is complete. Even by her words, his expression remains that of stone, not sure whether he was confident of success or someone who, regardless of the results will accept the consequences without a second thought. He throws the brush off into the bucket and pets the stallion one more time before facing Thorn.

Thorn smirked turning from dubhlainn and place her hand to the ground, she was there for what seemed quite sometime she had not realized dubhlainn had turned and was now looking at her. The ground started to tremor vibrations could be felt through her feet.

Thorns eyes shot open once more as a root appeared with her bag, weapon and her pet walking beside it, stopping infrount of her thorns smile turned genuine and kind only her plants and belongings had seen this smile.

Standing she turned and looked back at her tempery companion "this is JD my sap tiger and this is my weapon friend do not think it is not fit for battle it had served me well the past few years and it's tuffer than it looks" she stated placing the staff infrount of her her sap tiger cub looked at dubhlainn hungrily and Thorn smirked "you now the rules JD no eating guild members!" she hissed softly that was the only rule she had with her animal however chasing them was fine in her eyes.

A sweat drop of what seems to be disappointment looms over his head.

It would take sometime to cover up that hole she made on the ground.

Overall it was impressive to see that her magic allowed a great deal of benefits to her. As a matter of fact it could have been used in various number of things. A pet made out from her own magic, a magical woven bag made with tough fiber from the plants she generates, perhaps even her clothes were made from plants but perhaps it would be rude to ask. There was one thing Dubhlainn wondered: If her ability was nulled, would she still be considered a threat?

The overuse of magic is unsightly to Dubhlainn but perhaps it was because Thorn has potent magical energies in her that embodied a part of "HIM" that is according to Sinali before she left the guild.

Dubhlainn pulled out the horse he brushed out of its stable and caressed its head fervently.

I apologize dear friend but you are needed once again.

Something you don’t see in Savage Skull members every day, some compassion that doesn’t even define a dark mage. He treated his horse with such respect and thought that perhaps now would be its time of rest but now his stallion is needed again to carry out an important duty tasked to him. In addition he grabbed a small pack containing a Revolver with only six bullets and two Speedloaders with a maximum clip size of 18 shots and a standard broadsword. He mounted the stallion presenting himself ready before Thorn.

thorn shock her head looking over the ground she had gone a bit to far with showing for and had now got to fill them with something for when her lady guildmaster returns and sees this she would be well lets just say thorn did not wish to think of the circumstances. rifferling through her pocket for a moment thorn brought some seeds out and threw them into any wholes and closed her eyes, buds soon appeared this was when thorn opened her eues she had given them a good start but know the plants needed to grow and lurn on there own.

Thorn looked up at the animal it seemed quite tired and like it needed rest. thorn shock her head she was kinder than most in savage skull but that was only to animals and plants people where a different kettle of fish, Looking up at Dubhlainn when he showed he was ready she place a hand on the animal's head and smiled softly. "let you stead rest here, the town if only a few days away by foot i doubt the extra time away will be bad and you have my word no one will eat him whilst we are away" she stated clicking her fingers five young people came running all dressed in rags with chins on there ankle "you are to look after this horse if something happens to it you all suffer the same fate!" she hisses at them they all bowed showing they understood. Thorn turned and waited by the forest for dubhlinn to decide what he was going to do next.

It seems Thorn had come to notice the fatigue in Dubhlainn’s stallion. She insisted that Dubhlainn’s horse would rest, after all it did some work pulling a cart of corpses that Dubhlainn had to dispose as well as evidence of Tartarus’s atrocities. Perhaps Thorn’s compassion only lies in all of nature but humans were an exception to this and for whatever reason that allowed her to possess such cognition is something Dubhlainn would not ask of her.

What you expect from a Dryad?

Dubhlainn bowed down and proceeded to follow thorn wherever they may go. Of course for Dubhlainn he’d usually bring weapons but this time he didn’t bring any, quite an odd one he was. Everyone had the impression that Dubhlainn would be some kind of warrior who possessed a classical style of combat, talented with such high dexterity, of course this was only shown and proven in the courtyard but outside on the field, it was different.

He watched as Thorn and her pet JD would wait by at the entrance, Dubhlainn had come wearing his usual formal wear and if one were to spectate, Dubhlainn would definitely look like some kind of bodyguard to Thorn. There were many stories he heard about thorn but he dare not ask to prove the malignant information to thorn herself, otherwise she’d start asking about the people who’s been talking about her and perhaps… a cull of those who gossiped about her.

Cruelty is common among Savage Skull mages but there are exceptions to it.

Their journey to the river village begins.

Thorn smirked as she started to walk through the dark forest, brilliant bright eyes glared from the dark tree's the eyes watched as they past. thorn just passed the tree's happerly whistling softly she knew they would not be attracted by any creatures that loomed in this place. thorn had her staff on her back connected to her pack with the essentials along with some lacrima she had taken from Sinali's old room. since she had disappeared thorn had rescued her belongings from her room before anyone could take the resurch.

Thorn now used what she needed and continued with the resurch to the best of her ability but unlike Sinali, Thorn was far from the expert when it came down to it but the resurch was a good read for the most part. Thorn smiled at dubhlainn her smile was twisted and coy almost like she was planing something. "tell me why did you join savage skull you dont seem so well savage as the rest of us!" she asked tilting her head she never once turned to watch where she was going but still stepped over roots and items that may have coursed her to trip, this was thanks to her plant kin her brethren guided without any effect her connection seemed to be becoming stronger at least.

thorn smirked and looked at the ground for the first time "and why is it you do not use the magic you possess i know you are a solder but there must be temptation there!" she asked half expecting him not to answer ever of her questions after all it was just her passing the time.

Thorn is alarmingly curious about Dubhlainn but heck who wouldn’t? The only ones who knew Dubhlainn so far was his Master Harrigan Crawford and Lady Aedre but perhaps it couldn’t hurt to even answer; besides this is probably the first time he’d ever has a chance to go on a quest with Thorn.

“Indeed I was a former soldier but I have to tell you something Lady Thorn, savagery can never be defined by how they look but it is defined in their course of action and intent.” There were times Dubhlainn would talk about peace which of course Thorn could have probably heard while he was chatting with his grunts in Guild Security but it was explained that despite living in peace, his old habits still remained. A veteran of war escaping into the peaceful confines of a Dark Guild that had already declared war with the Magic Council is ludicrous. The reality that war and conflict in humanity will always remain, it’s part of nature after all and Dubhlainn is still getting used to it.

“I joined Savage Skull probably to escape frequent encounters of war but I find that inevitable, in truth I’m still getting used to that reality. In the place where I was brought up, it was a place where magic isn’t completely abused and there was a law there or you could say the commonality among mages that they would prefer to conceal their identities as magic users. We see our magic has a trump card instead of something you’d use every day because we never know that there will come a time that we won’t be able to use it again. Every magus had to rely on a more humanly approach in order to do battle, sure we have the choice to abuse our magic but that would make you the most juvenile of all mages because revealing your abilities is already creating a sign of weakness.” It was a tradition, a tradition that Dubhlainn has gotten used to, the modern world of magic falls into a different view than that of earthland and its mysteries were just as equal.

Guest, do you possess the mediocrity of a mage, or the resolve of what it is to be human?

Walking through the forest lissoning to her guild mate answer her questions "you come from a place that sounds intresting and could be somewhere very strong as if they where attacked the attacking party would never really now what they where up against intresting to say the least, so when if ever would you use you magic? atturly dont answer that it will make the discovery more fun!" she stated winking softly. Thorn was satisfied with the answers she was given he had for now at least quietened her curiosity as they walked in silence thorn smiled at the plants as they asked questions about this man and what was between them. she shook her head 'shush you lot he is just someone i need to see in action' she stated lightly laughing seemingly to herself. Thorn was unserturn if she could talk to this person about her plant kin and there curiosity and teasing, thorn decided against it and looked forward watching where she was going.

they walked for they day thorn kept quiet if Dubhiainn wished to talk then he would but she doughted he was the type for ideal chit chat. coming close to dark that was when they hit the town they where aiming for now there task can begin smiling softly she turned to Dubhiainn "this is your call i am curiuse what is it you will do now or should i ask what is the plan." she asked softly smiling lightly this answer was going to be intresting or at least she hoped it would.

Listening to Thorn’s comments Dubhlainn would look straight towards the pathway to which they walk. The river village isn’t that far off, it only took them almost half a day, night started to fall and their objective was in sight. Thorn’s eyes grew in interested as Dubhlainn put on his gloves and wielded the revolver he was carrying with him, a total of 18 shots would be more than enough for this mission. He unbuttoned his suit to reveal what seemed to be four sets of plastic explosives strapped on him.

The first impression anyone would have is that he’d look like a suicide bomber but that wasn’t the case, Dubhlainn does not use such methods that are life costly in order to fulfill a mission, then again being a dark mage is an occupational hazard.

“Since you asked I shall inform you immediately.”

The plan was simple and if Dubhlainn isn’t going to use magic to resolve this then he’d use the most human of methods to eliminate his target but then again what’s so human about killing another life? Dubhlain dived down into the river and swam past the Rune Knight patrolling the area. Of course his passage was blocked by an iron fence underwater, fortunately he was strong enough to tear them apart. The most fortunate thing is no one felt that as Dubhlainn proceeded to come inside the compound and resurfaces only to plant explosives on a few support columns. Afterwards he returns back to Thorn.

“I apologize for taking my time, but I rather make sure the target doesn’t escape from us, would you like to accompany me Lady Thorn?” Dubhlainn won’t force it if she refuses to come regardless of her choice it won’t change a thing in Dubhlainn’s plan.
