    The Unexpected Return || Open

Post by Annora on 30th December 2015, 1:22 pm

    One Month Ago:
The violent white blizzard danced through the atmosphere as the sight of the pale mountains was clouded with thick white smoke. The chilling weather reigned over the mountainous region as the large structure of the building stood in the center, differing in color. A sinister aura radiated from the well-constructed building.

The dark and silent room stood there, mingling with the atmosphere dominating the rest of the building. The raven haired figure stood there in the dark, gazing out the pale, lifeless glass windows which seemed to have fallen prey to the storm outside. Her crimson eyes did nothing but silently observe the fascinating demeanor of the nature. Her slightly tall and lean build stood completely still as her face showed no expression whatsoever. Anyone could have mistaken the individual as one of the monumental mortal statues that lay around in the guild.

It was nothing unusual for her to just simply sit and gaze out, without having a single thought enter her mind. Her heartbeat was always slow and hummed in the silence. The red sheath remained hidden by darkness as it hung from her wait, holding her often-used crimson blade using which the monstrous female had taken numerous lives.

Thunder roared and her heart jumped, but it wasn’t because of fear. Her crimson eyes went wide and her expression shifted from being blank so showing signs of pain and fear. What was happening? She herself could not understand as she clutched the surface of the area where her black tainted heart is supposed to lay. Everything was the same, yet something stood out. She fell to her knees as her long hair covered her face. Her vision went blurry, shifting from red to black only momentarily before returning to look at the brown wooden floor, and then repeating. A sort of unusual pain echoed through her figure but she refused to let out a single sound.

A voice then cleared her confusion. The deep, inhumane voice caused her to stay still of shock. It spoke, but they were words she could not comprehend, but that was not important to her. Without a moment’s hesitation, her body disappeared off the ground and flashed in different places around the room due to her inhumane speed. Soon she was out of the room, then the guild and moments later, she stood far in the deserted snowy mountains where nothing but harsh white pieces of nature were visible.

She wore her usual attire, which exposed a lot of skin, yet she didn’t seem to feel cold. She was more concerned with the voice, the voice she had suppressed decades ago. Why was it returning? Why now? She wanted to know. She refused to feel vulnerable. Her pale hand fell. She stood to her full height. She was never one to feel fear, but rather, the one who spreads fear. Hatred and anger for making her feel vulnerable danced through her veins as her face was unable to convey them. Strands of her black hair danced wildly through the air as the wind picked up its pace and roughly attacked her, but she was unmoving.

It was this anger of hers due to which everything went black. She wasn’t unconscious; she was standing but everything around her disappeared, leaving her in nothing but darkness. Her hair slid onto her back as her hands gently and steadily gripped the hilt of her sword. “No need to be so alert.” The voice didn’t startle her, but indeed left her in a dilemma. The crimson eyed female turned, only to meet another pair of crimson hues which held the same bloodlust as hers but held something much more too; mischief.

Nothing but the glowing red eyes could be seen, “Annora, you remember me, don’t you?” The voice wasn’t deep and inhumane like earlier; it was feminine and delicate but she knew better. She would not be fooled. As if her mind had created its own character, the being slowly exposed itself, revealing to be like a bare reflection. The figure had the same eyes, the same face, the same height, the same physique, the same pale, lifeless skin but unlike Annora’s pitch black hair, the figure had hair of the opposite shade; pale white, but they were of the same length.

The two stood staring at each other, the raven haired female expressing nil emotions through her face while the pale haired female had on a small, mischievous smile. Slowly, Annora fell into the clutches of confusion as the replica’s right eye began filling with black like ink dropped on a thin paper. It spread until it covered her eye. Annora did not express confusion but she was wondering what was happening as a flower slowly blossomed on the females eye. Without hesitation, and with determination to get rid of this cringe-worthy creature, Annora launched herself at it with her sword only to be surprised when her sword passed though it’s body like it was water, disintegrating black smoke from the cut. The female laughed before colliding her body with Annora’s and disappearing.

The darkness faded, returning to the snowing mountainous region where she previously stood. She knelt on the ground, her eyes bulging out with the pain that wrestled her body. This was the feeling she suppressed a long time ago. Her mind faded away into unconsciousness and she knew that when she woke up, the world would be coming face to face with something horrendous and terrifying, and it somehow pleased her. With a small smile playing on her lips, she fell into a deep slumber from which she would soon rise.

Dark, heavy clouds coated the skies, causing an uproar of evilness in the atmosphere. The nature mercilessly continued to drop white harshness onto the blanket on snow that had covered the mountains. Far away from any sort of civilization, in the middle of nowhere, a heinous scene seems to have been played out, leaving behind nothing but crimson blood covering the white snow. Lot of blood spread out, along with limbs and bones of those rare animals who once lived in this ruthless place. A trail to red followed the scene and ended miles away where a woman walked. Her pale white hair mingled with the surroundings as her black clothes stood out, covering only parts of her pale skin.

She walked with a small, abnormal smile playing on her lips as if she had finally broken through the barrier she put up; as if she had finally lost control and enjoy it. Her red eyes glowed with hunger as crimson blood stained her pale skin. As she walked, her right eye changed colors causing then white to slowly turn into blood red and the pupil to shift to a color of pure darkness. Her steps halted as she raised her hand, revealing a beautiful flower stabbed by a sharp object as they refused to leave sides. She played with the object before grabbed the sharp object and diving it straight into her eyes.

She had finally gone crazy. Blood seeped through her eyes which was now covered by a flower. Nothing about the female had been changed other than her black hair and the addition of an accessory. Suddenly, her laughter echoed through the mountainous region before she suddenly disappeared, reappearing moments later before the large doors of Basilisk Fang, a place from where she 'disappeared' without a trace. Without hesitation, she pushed through the gates, grabbing some attention. Her nose cause the whiff of monstrosity, her eye took in the same structure that she ruled, or believes that she still rules. But what her ears caught, did not appeal to her. Her ears caught the sound of pesky guild members speaking of a new guild master. Her smile disappeared as she walked over to the person, immediately grabbing  ahold of his neck and raising him off his feet, "A new guildmaster, you say? And who the hell gave you the right to decide who rules this guild?" And with that, using her monstrous strength, she threw the man, not really caring where or in what condition he lands. "I rule this guild"

Sol was lurking behind the throne in the guild hall when he heard the doors open to the entrance of the guild, the slayer had a small wine glass full of red wine and Taipan venom and he sipped it as he saw the young woman enter the guild.the slayer look much different after his trip to the cursed lands his skin had paled and his hair had grown out and become pitch black, however the biggest change was the mans eyes as they were now glowing crimson red and black sclera  made the man look even more frightening then before. He emerged from the shadows and started to approach the new visitor.

As he approached he caught the scent of something familiar as if this person was someone he knew, he  moved behind her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.”as much as I like you throwing the cannon fodder around we do need them sadly” he stated as he glanced at her.”though you did hear right we had a new guild master for a while I was his student but I’m unsure where he has gone” he said as he stepped back just incase  the woman tried to grab him just like she had the weaker man. Sol had Lohengrin on his back but he didn’t want to use it on  another potential member or even a returning member.

The scent of familiarity lingered in the air which the pale nose caught. A touch on her shoulder caused her crimson eye to narrow. The female was still covered in blood as it continued slowly dripping down her face from her right eye, but she seemed unaffected. "I'm sure that this guild does not require fools such as him." She turned around, standing face to face with the man whom she recognized as a member before she left. She couldn't quite remember his name, but she noticed the change in his appearance.

Thinking he recognized her, she continued, "This new 'guild master' you all speak of has now disappeared, you say? That's interesting. He should have known better than to take my place." She stopped, knowing that everyone had their eyes fixated on her. She noticed some blank looks the members gave her and her red eye glowed in rage, "You fools don't recognize me?" Her expression returned to the blank facade it had always put up.

    NOTES Welcome back, dear~

"You? Run this guild?” Her voice, a humored tone, came from the shadows like it always had for Famine made a habit of lurking in the dark. Not that the guild was well illuminated anyways with all the dust and cobwebs hanging where the lights should have been lit. Instead muffled light from the white wasteland outside gleamed through the dark stained glass windows that lined the walls like they always had.  Famine stepped out into that light, making herself present to Annora’s left.
“Your reign ended the moment you disappeared leaving this place without a leader.” Famine spat a cruel tone sharpening over her eyes “Now, I don’t know what you were thinking… that we’d keep the throne warm for you while you went out for your little journey?~” Famine stood, stepping up to the woman. Her gaze remained one that had power over her despite how Annora’s height led her to tower over Famine.

“It’s not that they don’t recognize you. -They no longer follow you, dear Annora.” She huffed, a grin spitting up the sides of her face, entertained by the statement that Left her in the middle of this guildhall without the power she once had. “Our step-in master has left us yes, but he wasn’t foolish enough to leave this place un-guided like you had.” Famine paused, taking in a breath pleasantly, gathering enough air to vocalize herself where she could be heard by everyone. “I rule this guild.”

The voice that reached her ear was very easily recognized by the female as a small sigh escaped her lips. She lazily turned her neck to her left to find the person whom the voice belonged to. turning her body, she bend her neck to look down at the petite woman.

A small smile crawled up her face as the woman spoke. She stood silently as the woman inhaled before letting out that she was the new guild master. Everything went silent, the murmurs stooped; it was as if everyone stopped breathing. Then a laughter echoed through the sinister guild hall, a mocking laugh, followed by the sound of slow claps. The pale haired woman had a humored expression as she suddenly stopped her laugh, "You? The guild master? Ironic, I leave for one mere month and two new guild masters already took over my throne."

She neared the female, towering over her with a mocking smile, "I personally would like to see how you do as a guild master, this is something I'm looking forward to." She lowered her head towards the female, "But remember, if you make even a single mistake as the guild master of Basilisk Fang, it will take me no time to stamp over you and reclaim what's mine." She turned back and with the same smile planted onto her face, walked further into the guild.

Sol’s expression did not change even as Annoras eyes glowed with rage, he remained calm as he crossed his arms” your scent if familiar to me but I’m not completely sure who you are” he stated before he saw Famine emerge and state that she was now the guild master as per Nykyrians orders and that the person that was before them was Annora the former guild master , “huh Annora you look much different that last I saw you.” he said before he moved over to stand beside Famine which made her shorter stature even more apparent.

Hearing Annora laugh bugged Sol slightly but the former human just kept a straight face before he frowned when Annora said that she would stomp over Famine and take over if she ever made a mistake.” if I remember right its not wise to threaten the guild master” he stated with a bit of an edge to his voice.

Sapphire hues narrowed with hostility as Annora paraded further into the ancient building known as their guild hall. Famine’s tongue clicked sharply against the roof of her mouth, head cocking ever so slightly, smile sprawling back as the woman’s back had turned. The petite Master said not a word in reply to Sol who stood at her side, she could handle this herself.

One second she was present and the next instant the blackness of the un-lit area behind overwhelmed her and her form vanished.  A second passed, reformed, Famine stepped out in front of the pale haired girl to stop her in her tracks. From what everyone had heard Famine had been born in the shadows and taught by them, her ability to appear and move with the speed of teleportation through them was certainly not a surprise to anyone.

Marking clad arms folded up in front of her, the serpent tattoos seeming to curl against her flesh as she tensed. “hmh” a sound like laughter jumped from her. “My throne, My guild, yadda yadda.” The mocking words snapped from her tongue, crisp like the volts of shadowy electricity which sparked at her maw.

With silence Famine shuffled closer and in one simple motion her pale palm leapt forward to grasp Annora’s throat, yanking her eyes down to level with hers. “I like you better with your nose not in the air.” Fingers clutched harshly around her neck. “As for mistakes, It’s not about how I’ll make them but the skill in which I use to correct them that will define this guild and that’s something I refuse to let you take from my hands.” Her chilly gaze remained honed on the ex-master “I’d rather die than allow your bitching, threat making mouth represent this place. If you really are just here for the authority, for the power you once held over everyone here, do me a favor and find the door your disgusting soul came.” Her grasp ceased on Annora’s neck, point hopefully made.

Jade gently watched from the shadows as a lady she had never seen before came waltzing into the guild hall and started to demand to take the throne. Jade sort of had mixed feelings about the guild master at this point in time but she still was loyal to her.

After Famine let go of the lady Jade decided to walk out of the shadows and step up to the lady who towered over her. "Listen Grandma, I don't know who you are or how strong you are but I don't want to hear anyone talk to the master like that except for me." she said with a stern yet bitchy tone "and besides... Grandmas shouldn't talk to people like that... you may break your hip." she laughed crazily until she calmed down enough to talk normally.

She gently tugged on the ladies sleeve and smiled "Honestly though, I like you, you have guts." she said as she leaned on the wall.
