Empty and quiet, the sound of the metallic boots clacking against the hard marble tiles broke the tranquility and echoed through the walls of the Sabertooth guild. Red cape lingered around the edge of her feet, sashaying from side to side as the guild master of Sabertooth meandered through the hollow, yet, huge area. Aquamarine pools glided around the place and observed carefully as if she had never inspected or been into Sabertooth before. Chin raised and jaw slightly open, the young woman was enticed by the beauty of her own guild. She would definitely look like an imbecile person if any one were to see her at this precise moment. Clearing her throat, Hika jerked back to reality and grinned at the stupidity of her own self. The members either seemed to be out doing jobs or perhaps lazing off somewhere in the corner, as usual, considering that the guildhall was empty and silent as if it was a graveyard. Albeit, this was a good moment for her to have a private meeting with someone important since the guild members of Sabertooth tend to have a habit of being curious to whom their guild master is chatting with or what they’re talking about.

Blue pools advanced over to the clock that was placed on the wall as she tapped her foot gently on the ground, waiting for the other partner to arrive. The young woman was slightly nervous that she could not even contain herself from checking the time constantly or cease herself from twiddling with her fingers — not because the person might have arrived late but due to the fact that this meeting would be extremely important to her she wouldn’t have wished to screw it up. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Seconds plodded by, each separated by an eternity and the woman paced the hall back and forth as the sound of her heels resonated repeatedly against the floor, it was almost irritating to her ears. Brows furrowed together in the centre of her forehead, she felt strangely excited and restless at the same time.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
"Invitation, huh?" The somewhat scrawny legs of the Nephalem dangled right over a tree branch as he sat right next to a mysterious black figure. He, himself, was quite a mysterious figure as well, draped in a ragged and torn black cloak that went all the way down beneath his knees. Given his current posture, though, the cloak was opened up that revealed his steel grey shirt and and jet black cropped trousers over himself. Just beside him was another black figure, a very small dragon in the shape of a serpent, that is. Its pure, beading red eyes glanced up at the Nephalem sitting right beside him on the tree branch, with his legs still dangling and swinging from the branch. "Correct," the small dragon--being of only a few inches--responded to him shortly after. "Did it specify what for?" The swinging of his legs intensified a bit as the conversation dragged on, and the small dragon shook its head in response. "Unfortunately, no. You were only to meet her at the Sabertooth Guild Hall." Scoffing at the lack of information, Deniel stopped swinging his legs back and fourth and merely rolled his red irises up to the top of his eyes. "Well, isn't that a little irritable. Asking me for favors with no information aft--" the dragon interrupted him just before he managed to finish his sentence. "Deniel..." Jumping down from the branch with the dragon following him shortly afterwards, landing on his shoulder, the young Nephalem sighed. "I know, I know. It's just hard to forget, Nidhogg."

"This new Guild Master probably doesn't have the slightest clue what happened." Scratching the back of his head in an awkward motion, he couldn't help but admit the tiny dragon was right. "Okay, okay....I'll go over there. Sheesh." Using his cloak to conceal his entire body save for his legs beneath his knees, he pulled the hood of it right over his head, and began to walk. The journey was not far from where he was at, luckily. It would only be a matter of time.

As that time arrived, he stood at the doors of the Sabertooth Guild Hall. The lustrous and grand building that floated in the sky like a sanctuary certainly was a sight to behold. Not necessarily the first time he had visited, and perhaps not the last, its appearance was always noteworthy every time he had seen it. Either up close and personal, or in the distance when venturing off around Fiore. Regardless of the case, he pressed his palm against the doors of Sabertooth guild hall, and slowly opened them. Quite a bit of noise was generated when he did, and the sunlight of the outside penetrated right within the marble floor and enormous walls of the guild hall. The shadow of the cloaked figure slithered its way all the way where the penetrating sunlight reached, walking inside slowly with his cowl right over his head. The footsteps of his combat boots echoed through the halls as he slowly walked inside, and once the door behind him had closed up, he looked at the woman that had been pacing back and fourth, presumably the one who hailed for him to show. "You called?"

SGloved hands pressed against her chin, the woman continued to pace back and forth the guildhall until a loud noise generated from the huge entrance doors jerked her back to reality. Cerulean eyes lit up immediately at the sight of a figure approaching her. Black. That was what the Sabertooth mage noticed at first sight; his clothes and his hair were all jet-black. Perhaps, he favours the colour black. The man appeared to be a person who would be hard to approach but nevertheless, he was already considerate enough to accept her invitation. Standing a few meters in front of him, the woman slightly bowed before her aqua pools glided over to his scarlet orbs. ”Yes, I’m extremely thankful you made time to show up in our humble abode.” Directing him towards a vacant chair nearby, the woman requested him to take a seat before she sauntered over to the opposite side of the table and seated herself onto the chair. With slender hands locked together and legs crossed over each other, the woman let out a heaved out a short sigh, preparing for the words to spill out of her lips.

The Sabertooth guild master asking for a request was definitely a rare sight, albeit, this was sort of an emergency which is why she had to invite one of the strongest mages in Fiore for assistance. The rose-coloured hair woman glanced around the hallway nervously and fidgeted her fingers as if she was having trouble saying the words. ”Would you like to help me understand the new magic I obtained not long ago?” The woman struggled to maintain a straight face as insecurity began to wash over her, her face turning into a bright shade of scarlet. In hopes of receiving a ‘yes’ or even a ‘maybe’, the Sabertooth guild master tapped her fingers on her lap, lips slightly parted followed by a bite of her teeth on her lower one.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
The first impression that the scarlet haired woman gave Deniel was that she was incredibly...formal. Mr. Raven Hair could be speaking to the King of Fiore and not really give a damn about it; it was all the same to him. Was she being formal to be friendly and give a nice first impression, or because her vernacular was composed that way? He was hoping it was the former over the latter. Being beckoned over to sit down on the nearby table, he only responded with a shrug before following her behind. She seemed to sit quite formally, just like the way she spoke, but he was going to make it clear that he wasn't really bothered with being too polite or elegant on his first meeting. Swiftly sitting himself down, and placing his feet right up on the table, crossing one ankle over the other, he looked right at her. He crossed his arms over his chest, which also worked towards opening up his cloak that his entire body was covered with, showing more black clothing underneath--except for his shirt which was steel grey but still had black skulls on the top of him. She appeared nervous to request him to a task that he considered normal or even simple; did it come from the fact that she was a Guild Master? He didn't really care, but his red eyes did dart awkwardly from right to left as she seemed to blush in embarrassment from it.

"Well..." he first began at long last, hurling himself over to sit up straight. He motioned with one finger on the table each time he made a point clear, which oriented itself with the things that he needed listed. "First I'm gonna' have to know what exactly this Magic is, how long you've had it, what you plan to use it with, if you've tried anything with it, and....just anything you can provide, really. I'm strong, yeah, but I ain't a miracle worker." Crossing his arms once more, and leaning back on his chair, he once again hurled up his combat boots to the table, crossing them over to each other and awaiting her answer with a rather curious look on his face. He was quite interested in this, and was relieved that it was not a mere job request, but rather the chance to exercise his knowledge and her skill at the same time--perhaps against each other.

Black. Informal. Straightforward. The woman noted down the words in her head and pushed then to the back of her mind before directing her attention back to the man sitting in front of her. Cerulean eyes darted downwards onto the legs that were propped up onto the table and raised an eyebrow slightly. It was certainly not an action she preferred, albeit, she was glad that he was making himself comfortable at their guild at the least. The pink-haired woman let out a discreet cough and raised her gaze over to those of the scarlet eyes. With her brows furrowed slightly to the middle of her forehead, the woman patiently listened to what he had to say, nodding at certain times with her eyebrows arched curiously.

A miracle worker, huh? I doubt it. This woman had high hopes on this man, which was why she had chosen him to be her mentor in the first place. The sentence he had spoken caused her to smile lightly as she averted her eyes to the centre of the table before she directed her gaze back towards the young man once again. ”Honestly, I’m not even exactly sure how this type of Magic works. I somehow has the ability to use Ice magic, only slightly but obviously I’m certainly not expert in this, which is why I invited you here to request you for your help since you’re experience concerning in this area. I’m completely new to this and haven’t even actually figured out anything yet. The only fact that I discovered was that I’m now able to manipulate a little bit of Ice magic. Are you willing to help me develop the skills and we’ll see what we can do with it, how does that sound?” The young woman neatly placed her overlapped hands on her lap, slender legs crossed over each other, cloaked with tight black pants.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Ice Magic!? The thought of it rushed through his mind immediately, and he almost felt as though he should decline Sabertooth's Guild Master's request for his training right away. The thing was, Deniel did not have the slightest clue what to do with Ice Magic, how to train it, or even how it worked for the most part. Yet...he did recall someone that could perhaps help him in this task. He had come a long way and she seemed to be in need of good assistance to this...he didn't see why not. Plus the person he had in mind, maybe could help him in regards to this matter. Giving it a little bit more thought, at long last he nodded and stood up from his chair. "Alright, I'll help you, but not here. Not now." He swiftly thought of an alternative, a location in which he thought would be perfect for Ice Magic training. The thought hit him almost immediately: "Iceberg. Meet me in the Arctic lands of Iceberg three days from now at the..." he proceeded to explain the exact spot he wanted to meet her at, describing the surrounding environment, and closing it up with an exact latitude and longitude coordination to it. It was located in the more northern section of Iceberg, though not far from the center, perhaps a few kilometers or so.

"I'll see you then. I would use this time to prepare. And good luck." Almost running out of Sabertooth's Guild Hall and to the outside, as if he were in some kind of hurry, Deniel with his cloak swooshing behind him exited the building in a few moments. Shortly afterwards, instead of taking a normal way down, he jumped right off of Sabertooth's Guild Hall floating into the sky, plummeting straight towards the ground. Only about a second or two in his diving did two rods of Holy Energy spring out from his back, manifesting themselves as metal catalysts for wings made of Holy Energy to grow out from them, in a triangular shape. Through these was he able to navigate and make his fall much more slow, as to not hurt himself. The moment he landed down he deactivated the wings, and closed his eyes. Sitting down in a meditative position, he shifted his focus from the outside world to the one inside of his mind.

    Mom! Are you here?

    "What is it, Deniel?

"What do you know about Ice Magic?

Huuuh? A lot of things. Why?

Do you have any idea how to train a person to use it?

    Of course I do! Why?

    I need your help...

The young woman’s face almost immediately brightened up upon hearing the approval of her request. Fireworks exploded in her head but she instantly pushed the thought to the back of her mind and focused on what he still had to state. Iceberg. In 3 days. The word echoed in her mind as her head would move up and down in agreement. That was really smart of him to relate a place that would be useful for her concerning Ice Magic. Noting down the exact location he had commanded, the pink-haired woman nodded once again. ”Good—“ Before she could say anything or even bid goodbye to the man who had just offered her help, her sentence was cut off by the abrupt departure of the young man. Stunned by the sudden leave, the Sabertooth guild master remained motionless for a brief second before she shrugged it off.  ”Oh well, I didn’t even get to tell him my name.”

Three days, huh? The young woman contemplated as she sat on the chair alone, at her comfort zone, lost in her own thoughts. Interested in how she would be taught or trained for her new magic, she remained excited and anxious for the upcoming days. The Sabertooth guild master decided to prepare something for the meeting she would be having in three days; she would at least try to figure out something with this new ability she has at this moment. Perhaps, she could gain something from it.

The three days of patience were a torture for her, part of her was dying of excitement to test out her magic alongside the young man, or perhaps, her mentor, she had met a couple of days ago. During the days she had patiently waited, she did test out her abilities like how she had trained herself to manipulate electricity within her body, however, she was not able to discover as much as she wanted to. The young woman stared at the reflection of her own self in the mirror that stood in front of her. It was as if a new discovery had been made. A sigh escaped her lips as she smoothed her hair to one side of her shoulder. Promising herself that she would be able to ascertain her new abilities, the woman strolled out of her room and proceeded onwards to her destination; Iceberg.

The Sabertooth guild master was in her black suit and pants with a red cape lingering around her back that fell just below her ankles. Her guns hung loosely over her body and she decided to bring them just in case she might need them. The young woman sauntered through their own private town that they had recently established, over to the nearest train station that would take her to her objective. Hours later, the woman found herself in the middle of barren land, only covered with snow and icebergs. For some strange reason, she was not even the slightest bothered by the frigid cold biting through her skin. Perhaps, this was the start of getting use to her new abilities. Glancing over the empty vicinity of the land, the woman searched for the person she was supposed to meet. ”North?” Following her instincts, she meandered over the north direction, in hopes to find her mentor.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
    Help, with what?

Someone kind of asked me to train them in Ice Magic...

You teaching Ice Magic? Oh dear. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel, aren't they?

Damn it, Mom! Just...help me, alright?

    Of course.

From that point on, Deniel spent a majority of his three days for preparation withing a meditative state so that he could also get a grip on Ice Magic as well. He didn't want to turn down Sabertooth's Guild Master, but wasn't about to lie to her either. Thus he dedicated himself to learning a basis of Ice Magic as well as how to teach it and evolve it. Luckily for him, his mother was a very patient and skillful woman, having utilized Ice Devil Slayer Magic for hundreds of years. Just as Deniel figured, similar to Take Over Magic, there were physical steps a person must indulge themselves in before attempting to figure out how a Magic works; a way to prepare their body, so to say. And even more fortunate was the fact that Deniel's body had already adapted to these circumstances and criteria, which would make him all the more effective as a teacher.

The three days had gone by in a flash for Deniel, who was also quite anticipated, though not nearly as much as Sabertooth's Guild Master. The journey to Iceberg was a brief and simple one for him, having traveled to the icy continent once before. It seemed all too familiar to him, and never before did he figure that he would have to visit this domain once again. He observed his surroundings, and found it to be the exact spot that he had chosen. Not too far from where he stood, about twenty meters or so, was a large dead tree that seemed to be withering and wilting away as the years went on. And adjacent to Deniel was an oval rock that stuck right out of the snow, and that is why he had chosen this location; those two distinctions could work to his benefit in finding it. Of course everything else was just ice and snow.

It was not long after he arrived that Sabertooth's Guild Master did, and it was fortunate. The sooner they started the training, the easier it would be for both him and her. Giving her a wave for a greeting, he seemed to be wearing the exact same cloak and clothes he had been three days ago. Though shortly after greeting her did he take off his cloak almost right away, letting it drop down onto the snow. The jacket he was wearing underneath was short sleeved, so it didn't seem to provide any warmth, but even that was about to come off. "I'm glad you can make it. And right now I'd like to get started with the first step. We can discuss anything else afterwards...so....take off your clothes." He was very blunt about what he said, as he knew it would have been even more awkward if he just hesitated on it or dodged around it. He decided the best move would just to say it straight up. After that, off his came his jacket, with his shirt shortly following. "If you want to use Ice Magic, you're going to need to tolerate insane cold temperatures. So.....off with em'. Undergarments can stay." After that, off came his boots, and then the cropped trousers that he wore. He left all of them in the snow, though the cloak was on the bottom with everything else stacked on top. And he was left standing with no clothes on, aside from grey boxers he wore underneath himself.

"Though of course you could just leave and we could forget it."

Seconds plodded by, which seems like an eternity, Hika trudged through the thick snow, legs heavy. How good would it be if she stayed in and just sleep in this kind of weather? Eyes squinted from the blinding sight of the sunlight reflected from the snow, cold vapour escaped from her lips as it rose higher in the air and vanished. In hopes to find her mentor, the woman continued to walk, cerulean eyes glancing around the area occasionally just in case she would catch sight of him. After withstanding through the biting cold and harsh winter, a figure which seemed to be standing in a short distance, particularly near a large withering tree. Realising who the figure was, Hika quickly paced towards the man, hands rubbing against her arm to warm herself from the cold. She wondered if anyone actually lived in this deserted place.

Upon reaching to the place her mentor had pointed out, Hika slightly bowed down to the man standing in front of her, a genuine smile curved on her lips. Right away, he would get straight to the point, commanding her to strip her clothes immediately. Hika stared at him for a brief moment, as if she didn’t understand what he was ordering her to do. She was slightly surprised but part of her was expecting something like this to be happened. Even then, it was a rather shock for her but quickly concealed her source of distress with an expressionless face accompanied with a nod. Denying not to follow his orders would definitely be a stupid idea, besides, his statement was reasonable; if she had wanted to manipulate Ice magic, she would have to get used to the temperatures of the cold weather.

The Sabertooth guild master began by taking off her outermost layer of clothing, followed by her inner shirt. Her firm yet, petite body was displayed visibly, pale skin glowed along with the scintillating snow as she shivered slightly causing goosebumps to rise on her skin. Hika continued to take off her most trusted pair of boots and pants, leaving her with only white undergarments and nothing else. A slight blush rose her cheeks as she stared at the ground to hide her embarrassment. This was the first time someone has actually seen her naked body; not even her boyfriend has witnessed it. What surprised her next was that Deniel was already stripping as well. This caused her to widen her eyes, she hadn’t actually expect him to do so as well. The young woman averted her eyes to somewhere distant as she waited for her mentor to throw out another command.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Luckily he wasn't standing there in his underwear by himself in the biting cold for too long. Surprisingly she obeyed his command and stripped herself of clothes, which meant that she was serious with going on with this. He was almost surprised that she didn't ask any questions or protest, but the blush on her face said it all that she was embarrassed in the least bit. At least the blush might help keep her warm. One could wonder how a person could survive in weather like this with little to no clothing, and in fact it was impossible for almost anyone. And that is where Ice Wizards could come in; they were able to tolerate insanely cold temperatures because of the ice Magic already existing within them, or the ability to. And that is why Deniel was able to do it; not only because of his genetics from his mother, but also because he had learned a bit of Ice Magic himself. During the three days he spent training with his mother, he trained his body very swiftly to tolerate this cold temperature. Already he had been somewhat used to it because he had visited Iceberg before, and the gene toleration was already in him, it just took a bit of practice. Another reason for his swiftness was because he was a Nephalem; his body developed much faster than almost any other being's for the sole reason of survival. He cannot reproduce, so the individual of himself must do whatever it takes to survive as long as possible.

She wasn't shivering, and she looked at him as to what to do next. Nodding his head, he crossed his arms, "Well, looks like you are cut out to be an Ice Mage. At least so far. You not shivering is a very good sign." He stretched his arms up for a moment, yawning in the process and wiping his eyes shortly afterwards. This was mostly to show just how callous he was about the weather. "Of course ten seconds of this won't do. You're going to need to sustain this for hours. So don't count on putting your clothes back on anytime soon." Lifting up both of his arms towards his chest, and holding his palms up to the sky as if he were shrugging, small bits of an icy cold air started to gather around his palms. "And before this training is over, you should be able to do whatever you wish with Ice." In each of Deniel's hands, ice manifested itself out of the chilly air surrounding it into two katanas made completely of ice. He swung each of them once, before shattering them at his will. The ice from them crumbled straight for the ground, but before they could hit it, they reshaped themselves together into an even larger sword, one that Deniel had to hold with both hands. And in a few seconds, the ice melted and dissipated into the wind as a chilly air.

"I decided to use a bit of weaponry just for show. Of course I would never use that in a combat scenario. Now then...feeling the freeze yet?"

    Hikari

If there were any people on this land and they actually caught sight of the two of them, they might have thought these two mages are the most brainless people alive, being naked in the freezing cold. Shivers crawled down her spine and goosebumps began to appear on her skin as the Sabertooth guild master rubbed her arms to warm herself, even the slightest bit. Her slender legs were tangled together, her body small and petite as she tried to prevent her body from losing any more heat. A sigh escaped from her lips, fumes of vapour being released from her mouth as it rose higher into the air. The lightning mage struggled to contain herself from shivering as she would wrap her arms around herself and distract her mind with something else. For Deniel, he didn’t even seem to be fazed by the cold since he was talking so casually and his facial expressions appeared as normal as before. ”It’s really cold, but I’m trying not to get affected by it.”

Maybe staying still wasn’t exactly a smart idea so Hika decided to move around a bit. People always say, moving around always pump up the blood inside your body. Putting it in practical might actually work, she thought. The beginning were the hardest, since she was not used to the cold but the longer she remained in this weather condition, the faster she would get used to it. The pink-haired woman spread her arms beside her and flapped it up and down while jumping at the same time as if she was doing some sort of acrobatics. No doubt, she would probably look hilarious to her mentor, doing acrobatics naked in the snow but she decided to put the thought to the back of her mind. While still remaining restless, Hika watched how Deniel manipulated the ice around him into objects and then later long swords. All of a sudden, she felt envious of this man for he could almost do anything with his hands or his magic, he appeared to be knowledgeable about every kind of magic that could exist; no wonder he was one of the strongest mage in Fiore.

Nodding at herself, Hika thought that she might have made a right choice of requesting him to train her a new magic she was not familiar of. ”Whatever I wish, eh?” The cold wind whipped her hair away from her face and fairly snatched her breath away, leaving her skin tingled. Her voice was nothing but a silver of a husky contralto, her blue eyes appeared as if she was lost in her own thoughts. The Sabertooth mage stared at her hands for a brief second and wondered if she would be able to do what he had stated before; to create anything she wanted to. The deep voice of Deniel’s finally reached to her mind, knocking her back into reality and caused her body to jerk upwards. She blinked multiple times before her aquamarine pools glided over to his scarlet orbs and she found herself briefly lost in those eyes. ”Uh, yeah. But I think I’m getting used to it.” After being so deep in her own thoughts, Hika almost forgot she was naked in the middle of snow and harsh winter although she bet her nose and cheeks were probably scarlet and shining like beacons.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
"I see." Each word he spoke and every breath that he took came out as an icy patch of air that he exhaled, one that would remain in the air for a mere moment or two before dissipating. She was probably more or less impressed by his ability to use Ice, but it wasn't entirely what it seemed to be; he only learned what he could as a demonstration for this training. He would never be able to delve too deep into Ice Magic and use it, for too much of his actual Magic Power would be consumed if attempting to have three entirely separate forms of Magic. Or it would just be a waste of time; he could perhaps learn an infinite number of Magic and types but only for temporary and non-combat use. For all else, he stuck with the two forms that he knew already. "Well, once you begin to seriously get used to it, let me know. Then we can begin the real test." He suddenly threw himself backwards as if laying down on something; and just as he did, something did appear. Just beneath the sheet of snow that covered up the ground emerged a thin rectangular prism of ice, one that levitated itself right up into the air to catch Deniel's fall. Using it as if it were some kind of bed or platform, he laid down on it with his hands folded behind his head.

The thin sheet of ice started to float around Hikarki, with Deniel's legs dangling off of the end of it. "This is quite fun, actually." A brief chuckle escaped him, with his shoulders shrugging up and down with each bit of laughter. He was having a bit of fun with his temporary Magic that he managed to teach himself. He planned to forget it sooner or later, but Ice Magic did seem to be fun. He gave a brief twirl of his hand, and within it he managed to create a strawberry out of ice. Of course he wasn't going to eat it, but he did enjoy looking at it. He laughed again at the strawberry, and with a whip of his hand it vanished into the frosty air. Deciding to secretly make things a little bit tougher on Hikari to get used to the cold, he concentrated a much higher quantity of Magic Power with the small bits of Ice Magic that was inside of him right now, and managed to intensify the icy winds surrounding them. Of course this was not all for the land of Iceberg, but a couple of meters or so it seemed to be almost like a snowstorm. "Oh my. Seems as though things have gotten a little more difficult for you..." He said a little bit nonchalantly, making it a little obvious that he was the one who changed it, but that would be left up to interpretation by her. And survival.

    Hikari

The blood veins appeared vivid against her pale, freezing skin that had grown numb over the period of time that she had begun to stripped. Her teeth chattered against each other, inaudibly, her hands hugging her body against the chill. In the frigid cold, Hika stood there, bare and naked while she waited for her body to get accustomed to the biting cold of Iceberg. Soon after a while, her body had stopped shivering, the chattering of her teeth finally ceased but her arms were still glued to her body. The woman puffed out her cheeks and let out a long exhale, the fumes of cold air escaping her lips before it vanished.

    ”I think I’m ready.”

The woman nodded, placing her hands on her waists as she prepared herself for whatever she was going to be asked to do. Just then, Deniel purposely made himself fall backwards only to land on a sheet of snow, supporting him as if it was a chair. With one of her eyebrows arched upwards, it could be seen that she was clearly impressed by his abilities. The corners of her lips twitched upwards into a grin as a small chuckle escaped. Placing her foot onto the sheet of ice that Deniel had laid upon, she kicked it away from her, causing it to float to the opposite direction. This made her actually laugh, the laugh that caused her eyes to go into a crescent shape, her smile wide and cheerful. Despite the freezing cold, both of them were having fun which made the training interesting and excited for her to learn. Silently wishing she could create everything she wanted, just the same like her mentor, she was determined to complete this training.

The Sabertooth guild master believed she was ready until the arctic winds whisked right into her face, almost knocking the wind out of her feet, her hair standing at its ends. The sudden zephyrs that blew across the undulating lands of Iceberg caused her to immediately wrapped her hands around her body once again and toes curled as she moved her body side from side as if she was a statue.

”What?! How can there be winds all of a sudden!”

Noticing the playful expression on Deniel’s face, Hika folded her arms in front of her and glared at him through slit eyes, her mouth twitching slightly, obviously pretending to be mad. Hika was beginning adapt to the surroundings and neither her body or her fingers were not even the slightest numb or cold, although she still felt the chilliness in the weather.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
"Hahahah. Isn't this unfortunate?" The sheet of ice beneath Deniel quickly melted into water before freezing once again, but instead of solid ice, it fell to the ground as a small patch of snow that he now stood upon. He didn't seem bothered by the chilly air one bit, he didn't cross his arms nor did the slightest shiver befall upon his body; no shaking, no teeth chattering, not even a curling of his fingers and toes. He thanked his mother now more than ever for the inheritance her existence bequeathed upon him: cold temperature tolerance. And it did not work one way either, for Deniel could not only tolerate freezing temperatures, but also boiling and melting points of some substances. His body was, is, and will forever be a tool meant for the survival of himself as long as possible. Every little thing counted.

She seemed to be surprised by the abrupt temperature change, but she was in no way fazed or unable to continue as a result from it. This proved to be promising, and certainly in her favor. In fact, he believed that she was now ready to move on towards the next step. "Well, I suppose a little icy wind isn't too much of an issue for you. That's good. However, your true trial is about to begin." Deniel then gathered up his clothing in a bundle, and faced north. "North of here a couple of hundred meters you will find a blizzard. An endless one. And one that's impossible to navigate through unless you know what is on the other side and where it is at." He stared back at her, just to make sure that she was still paying attention, for every last bit of information on this next portion was absolutely vital. "I know how to navigate through. Your task is to follow me, though you won't be directly behind. I'll leave markings and footprints to assist you on your journey, but ultimately you will need to get through. If you can't...you'll die."

He looked back North, and began to tread upon the snow with one step at a time. "Once on the other side, you will be at the Icecrown Citadel. From there, your training will continue and eventually conclude. Are you ready?"

    Army Of One

Ice crystals swirled along with the wind, whisking into her eyes and nose. Tiny droplets of snow covered her rose coloured hair, making it more vibrant among the thick white layer of snow across the vicinity of Iceberg. With her nose and cheeks shining like beacons, the woman heaved out a sigh, her breath steaming in the cold air. As strange as it was, the woman found herself hard to believe the fact that she was adapting to the surroundings faster than she had actually expected. A smile etched onto her face; proud of her own self, however, this was not the only task she was supposed to do. Despite how she had been in this place only for a couple of hours, to her, it felt like she had been here since forever. Bare and frozen to the heart, the woman stood, her small feet remained buried under the thick layer of snow with her mentor standing tall just across her. Muscles flexed in his arms and his chest the moment he made a slight movement and Hika would immediately avert her eyes away, heat rushing to her cheeks as apple red pools danced on her soft skin.

Eyes gazed away from Deniel's sturdy figure, the features on her face instantly turning cold and hard as the usual illustration of her face; an expressionless woman, trying her best to conceal the blush that rose to her cheeks. Frustrated by how she had let her guard down to a young handsome man, the woman mumbled a curse word to herself and recgonized that she was still not accustomed to being around men, regardless of having a paramour herself. The woman lifted up her gaze from the ground to the sharp features drawn on his face, perfectly sketched better then a sculptor. Almond shaped blue orbs widened the slightest once she heard her trial was about to begin, causing her heart to race slightly from amusement. Following his actions, the woman bent over to fetch her worn clothes and huddled it close against her torso, the scent of the clothes coursing up through her nose as she trudged through the white blinding snow behind Deniel. Her face was buried slightly in the bundle of clothes she held as the woman lifted up her leg from the weight of the snow and pushed it down onto the layer again while listening to the instructions set for her trial.

Cerulean pools crossed over the gaze of dark bright shade of scarlet the moment he turned to catch a glimpse at her and tentatively, the woman briefly nodded. A blizzard, huh? The woman thought, her gaze outstretched far ahead where harsh gales swirled along the area intensely, lifting up thick patches of snow and from the immense force of the gales, it would turn into small particles, hindering her vision though the area. Hands clutched onto her leather cloak and linen clothings, white pearls snagged onto her lower lip before she lowered her head briefly and lifted it up once again, indicating Deniel that she was all set for the first mission of her trail. The woman summoned up every ounce of energy she had left on her body and prepared herself to enter a region full of storms.

    Here we go.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."

    "Very well. Let's go."

The first steps on Hikari's long journey had only just begun. And even in the freezing temperatures of their current location, in which the wind of icy cold snow and frozen water was still blowing to a point where most would consider it a little bit of a snowstorm or a blizzard, was nothing compared to what she was about to face. Just as Deniel initially indicated, it was a hundred meters or so ahead of them directly north, and would take a little bit to reach the destination. Along the way he didn't make much of an attempt to converse with her, as he found the temptation to reveal the way through all to consuming for him; the last thing he wanted was for her to fail and die, but at the same time there would be no rigor in the trial if he gave away all of the secrets. Attempting to from the demonic side of his blood, he looked straight forward and said not a word. But there was one necessary thing that he had to say for her to figure it out: "Follow the path of the afterlife." His bare feel made quite hefty footprints within the snow, intentional by him just to make sure that she didn't get lost behind him. One of his habitual characteristics he found was that he had a relatively fast walking pace; he walked almost everywhere that he visited, all around Fiore, and thus he had developed a walking speed that was faster than most others, but was still under no definition of power walking or running. Unusual to some.

Just as he and his mentor had begun to near the blizzard that he has spoke of, signs of it could already be occurring in the journey towards it. The wind had begun to pick up more and more with every couple of meters that the traversed in addition to the temperatures still dropping more than they already were, mostly due to the pick up activity of the wind. Sight for the both of them could be obstructed more and more as time wore on, and it would only get worse once they reached the pinnacle. And eventually, just as they had reached the point in which Deniel would refer to as the actual blizzard, the trial had begun.

His body would immediately faze away from the site of Hikari into the denseness of the snowstorm. It had become so thick that a person could most likely only see around them within a few centimeters, maybe even barely their own feet if they could concentrate hard enough. The ice was thick within the air, and the snow as abundant. Deep prints within it could be made with one measly step, due to the sheer amount of quantity that was beneath their feet. Who knew just how far above the actual ground they were? It was all buried beneath the thick sheet of ice and snow.

For Deniel himself, the top portion of his hair had immediately been covered up in a small sheet of snow, and has become so thick with the frozen liquid that it all brushed itself down in a very messy fashion, and the top of his head looked as if he were some kind of snow cone. His bare feet took hefty steps within the snow, but he hurried along. He knew the navigational path to get through his merciless blizzard as to arrive there long before Hikari did so that he may prepare her for the next stage. The key of the challenge was for her to follow within his footsteps, although he would not make that a hundred percent easy. After attaining a certain point within the blizzard, Deniel performed an action of...splitting his footprints into three. He created a miniature fork in which his normal footprints would carry on ahead in a straight line, but at a certain point of it, he created two separate, brief footprint tracks that only carried on for a few steps or so before connecting back to the first.

The first, the one that went in a straight line was obviously his boots. The second on to the left and then going back to the center was also in the shape of a combat boot, but it lacked the same shape as Deniel's regular ones. Though it seemed the size of the foot underneath was the same as Deniel's...perhaps a little bigger. And the third, well....that was probably the most unusual. Veering off to the right Hikari could see another footprint, once again about the same time as Deniel's only a little bigger, but this one made a much deeper print into the ground, and its frontal part was cut off by a small gap between the heel. Whatever the case of the two unusual footprints, the sign Deniel was attempting to show Hikari was that there were three different footprints that she had to follow. Whichever one she chose would be either her salvation, or undoing.

He continued on a couple of meters away from the little sign that he created for her, and began the first puzzle, in which the three sets of footprints all went off in entirely separate directions. The left one belonging to the Black Devil, the middle to himself, and the right to the White Angel. The first one was when the Black Devil's boot prints had lead the correct way, the first stage of the afterlife. The other two? If she followed them she would arrive at a dead end in which she would find a corpse of a previous traveler, frozen in the barren snow after being lost for who knows how many days? Obviously it wouldn't be Deniel if she could make a fair judgment as to whether or not he had been frozen for quite some time. Following the Black Devil would lead to the third fork, in which Deniel's regular footprints had gone the correct way. And at last the White Angel. All paths conjured by the mentor were in no way straight lines; he twisted, he turned, he made sharp turns, he even sometimes backtracked just for the sake of dragging it on. The turns where necessary when applied, for getting to the Icecrown Citadel was an immensely difficult task, one only a single mortal has ever accomplished: Deniel. The journey was harsh, and the path was set to follow or die.

And at long last, having only a few minutes pass for Deniel, he reached the end of his trail to the Icecrown Citadel. Exiting the snowstorm, one would find themselves in a place of almost serene winds, there was little snowfall, the temperatures were warmer compared to the blizzard, and there was no blinding blizzard ahead of them. But what they would be met with was a frozen wooden bridge, and across the chasm that it would provide passage was one of the most enormous buildings Hikari perhaps ever laid eyes on, more than likely to rival that of her own Guild Hall's. A citadel, just as Deniel had described it. Several stories high with its own base, and possessing a multitude of towers that scraped straight up towards the sky, one of them towards the center piercing through the clouds. And to compliment for its own name: the entire citadel was covered in a thick sheet of ice. Upon reaching the citadel that perhaps he would call home...he entered so that he may prepare her for the next phase of her trial.

    Hikari

    Army Of One

    Huff. Huff.

The warm breath steamed out of the woman’s lips like a banner, forming into vapour that rose up into the air and vanished along with the brisk wind. Patches of snow crunched beneath her feet as her foot broke the crust, grasping tightly onto the bundle of clothes that was pressed against her chest and bare skin. Droplets of ice and snow whisked into her eyes, as well as her nose, her vision completely hindered by flurries of snow that passed before her eyes she could barely see what was in front of her. The deeper they went into the snowstorm, her visual perception would get worse and worse every inch she trudged through the snow until she could barely see her mentor walking in front of her anymore. The harsh winter gales that blew across the undulating lands of the Iceberg almost knocked her feet over, yet, the young guild master still remained strong on her two feet. The situation was worse than she had imagined; lost in the middle of a snowstorm with her mentor completely out of her sight. Spots of snow remained stuck on her hair as well as her eyelashes and clothes. The woman had heard the words before he disappeared along with the snow, Follow the path of the afterlife, which she had no clue what that actually meant. Without knowing where she should go, the woman stared down at the snow, revealing deep footprints in the layers of snow. The woman placed her foot in the gap and realised that it was much larger than her size. Must be Deniel’s, she thought and instinctively followed the hints that was laid out for her.

Minutes plodded by and she could feel the wind getting stronger each moment, picking up patches of snow and the temperatures probably dropping below zero degrees. It was actually surprising how she was still standing, barely, in a snowstorm, not to mention — naked. Unsure where she was going, the only job she could do was to follow the footsteps that lead her to God knows where it was. Her body was cold and numb, more so her fingers, she could scarcely ever feel them anymore. The zephyrs were strong and brutal, stopping her from going any further but if she decided to stop now, it would mean she was giving up. Heck, it was only the first trail, who knows how terrible the rest of the trial would be? Whereas she was short on breath and struggling to even lay a step in front of her, Deniel had already scurried off to some place, probably waiting for her impatiently. There was a point where the Sabertooth guild master immediately ceased in her tracks, staring at three types of footprints that situated before her eyes. This has to be some sort of puzzle. The original footprints, most likely Deniel’s feet had split into another two different footmarks. Great. The Sabertooth guildmaster had expected challenges of all sorts, hopefully not too life-threatening.

There was no way Hika would have any idea to pick which footprint to follow. Her first thought was to continue Deniel’s original tracks, but what if the conclusion was something different? The marks that veered off to the right was well, rather unusual, something she could not quite compute. The woman stood there, gazing down at the footprints as if some sort of clue would pop into her head, but to no avail. It was a situation of Do or Die. The sentence her mentor has spoken before had struck her head once again, repeating the words of the afterlife. Perhaps, it was the hint Deniel had given her for this puzzle. Making her final decision, the woman steered off to the left, where the footprints were almost similar to Deniel’s boots, only slightly larger. Moments after she followed the tracks, the footprints led her to another way, branching to another side which was Deniel’s original tracks. Once again, the hints led her way but somehow the foot tracks forked off into a different one. Cerulean eyes swept over the prints that was embedded into the thick layers of snow ahead. It came to her preciseness the exact size of the tracks that sprawled across the blinding snow; the carbon copy of the ones she had faced before. A smirk crept up onto the line of her plump lips, content that she was able to finally solve the puzzle. Albeit, it was much more difficult, for the footprints were placed in a strange way, twisting and turning, that it was so perplexed, yet she had no choice but to follow. The wind had reduced its speed and momentum and Hika was able to see the view in front of her, although it was not as distinct yet. Hints of greenery caught her attention and the moment she exited the snowstorm, she was greeted by one of the most magnificent views she had ever seen. Her pale skin had now turned to a blush due to the warm weather that she had came upon. Indigo pools glittered in excitement and all the troubles she had gone through had been paid off; all for this view.

    Hikari

    Army Of One

Wow — that was all the rose haired mage could say after witnessing one of the most picturesque views she had ever seen. Frozen to the spot, her eyes were as wide as an owl’s, her mouth agape with incredulity. The scene that unfolded before her eyes stunned her in amazement; the buildings as large as her own guild hall, perhaps even bigger, with a majority of verdant trees and grass plains as well as establishments that adorned the huge castle. In front of her was a frozen wooden bridge, the ice decorated over the rims of the handles of the bride, as if they were being made on purpose. The woman climbed over the wooden bridge, revealing more of its amazing and large towers; their height so massive that it impaled through the creamy clouds above. The layers of snow were spread unevenly on the topmost part of the roofs of the buildings as if the snow was a food topping. ”Wow.” Unable to contain her astonishment, the woman whispered to no other than herself, seeing that her mentor had disappeared off from the face of Earthland to God knows where. And from the way she reacted to the landscape before her, the young woman was mostly likely to be seen as a child, as if being introduced to her favourite toy, but who cares. She completely the first trial and that was all that mattered to her.

The Sabertooth guild master had been distracted by the view in front of her and the victory she had achieved that she had even forgotten her body was completely bare and naked, apart from the undergarments that was clutched tightly onto her private areas. They were wet with snow and ice and it caused her to shiver slightly. Picking up piece by piece from the bundle of clothes she had piled up on the ground, the woman slid back through her clothes as she fixed her appearance and dusted off the remaining droplets of snow off her cloak. With a final pull on her gloves, the woman pushed her feet forward, preparing herself to enter the massive citadel.

The woman was introduced by huge metal gates that were wide open for anyone to enter, bricks and stones lining around the castle to serve as a protection. Tentatively, the mage entered, indigo pools gliding around the area, observing everything that was located within. Massive, thick doors that was as twice as big as her height finally faced her as Hika stared up in awe. Force exerted on her fingers, the young woman pushed the doors open, only to reveal a wide, empty hallway in front of her. The walls of the building was coated with sheets of ice, so clear that her own reflection could be seen as if it was a mirror. The interior looked so grand and luxurious, nevertheless, there was no one in such a beautiful establishment, which made her wonder why. A sorrowful look passed over her features upon seeing how lonely it would be here, but the remorse soon evaporated as she continued to progress through the long hallway. A couple of meters ahead of her was a mahogany door, which would lead her to somewhere unknown. Unsure where she should go, the woman had no other choice but to enter the room. Honestly, she felt rather guilty for intruding into someone’s castle but there was nowhere she could go in a land that was entirely foreign to her. For some reason, she felt as if Deniel had led her to this castle, despite how he was no where to be found. The doors squeaked open, outcasting light into the empty room as her footfalls resonated along the room. Her steps were slow and steady, eyes darting around everywhere and examining the area for any hints she could find, unsuccessfully.

Upon her observance, there were two staircases at the sides of the room leading up to another floor. The building was too large for her that she could not even imagine how many rooms would be able to fit inside the structure. With a single strand of hope to find at least a single person, the woman climbed up the stairs to the second floor. ”Hello?” A silver of a husky contralto echoed through the vast area accompanied by the humble sounds of her boots tapping against the hard floor.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
The Icecrown Citadel. It had not even been a year and already he returned to this wretched location. Though the view of the massive palace was quite extraordinary, and the structure itself was magnificent, there was a dark undertone to it all. This place--in life--was one of the most successful and luxurious buildings to exist on Earthland. Though almost a thousand years later it was already forgotten, cursed with an endless blizzard as a trap, and having the blood of thousands stained within the insides. Not quite literally stained, but one would see exactly what would happen if they ventured far enough. There was no doubt in his mind that Hikari was close behind, thus he found it necessary to venture fourth in a hurry. In spite of only coming through once, the Nephalem recalled all of the locations in which he needed to travel to ascend to his destination. Clothing himself upon entering the citadel's location, the Nephalem ran fourth straight into the building with the main doors shutting behind him almost immediately. Down the hallway that held his reflection he went, straight into the first main room that resembled a church in some ways. Ahead was a staircase leading up to the second balcony floor of this building, but the true destination would be the double doors leading further ahead. Almost bursting them down with enormous force, the Nephalem entered down yet another long hallway towards the next room: the living room. The frozen fireplace, the patch of blood, the single chair, and the shattered ice over the image...all of it came back to him. And he ignored every last bit of it. It was in the past now...wasn't it?

Taking left in this room, he proceeded up the staircase within the next one, traveling straight upwards into the enormous dome-like room. The Ball Room. The double doors exiting the ball room...the hallway that was almost exactly like a house's. It was almost unbelievable that he was treading through all of this so swiftly, not with any guards or trips in his way unlike last time. To the dining room, that connected to the library and the kitchen. Up the spiral staircase... to the next hallway, in the master's room. He pushed a brick on the fireplace, and the hidden staircase was unveiled. Traveling up that, he ascended into the room of the Frozen Throne.

It was a circular shaped room, and unlike the rest of the building--which had a sheet of ice over it--this one was purely made of ice. Walking over the surface, Deniel knew what lay beneath. There was blood stain in the middle of the room...he almost couldn't bear to look. Traveling to the throne right at the end of the room, the Nephalem ascended to its steps and sat down upon the chair. Or rather throne, more appropriately.

Immediately he felt a rush of immense power course through his veins, the power that felt infinitely divine. He could see every room in the Citadel, command every wall and corner, and know all that was happening within... it was magnificent. And of course from this, he knew that Hikari had already been there. In fact she was looking around, a bit lost and confused. Now that his position had been established, it was high time that he began to guide her through the next course of he training.

Suddenly, the image of Deniel from his shoulders up would be displayed upon the walls of the Icecrown Citadel, coming off of the thick sheet of ice. "Welcome, Hikari...to the Icecrown Citadel. You are most likely wondering why I brought you here. And this is to test your ability to survive and think. You managed to get through that blistering cold blizzard, and I congratulate you for that. However, you training is not yet complete. You have all of the necessary components to utilize Ice Magic...now you must actually make it so. How do you do that? You must figure out yourself. Within this Citadel, there will be monsters created from my imagination, as well as puzzles and traps. You are to get through each of these using only Ice Magic. Dare violate that, and you will try all over again." Concentrating a bit of energy into the room she was in, Deniel opened up a secret passage on the very far end on the second floor. Within it was a staircase made of pure ice that spiraled upwards into a hidden tower, and would lead to her first challenge. "Travel there. Your first test awaits. Defeat the beast."

Deniel recalled that within the room she was about to travel in, his first task was to defeat the Knight of Chasity...quite simple for him. Though perhaps not for her with an entirely new Magic. Judging this factor, Deniel decided that the first one not be that much of a fearsome beast. A simple Ice Golem, would do...

Waiting in the room that Hikari had yet to enter was a creature made of pure ice; a frigid ice monster that appeared to be around twenty feet in its height. Though big and scary, it hopefully wouldn't prove much of a challenge to a Sabertooth Guild Master. Hopefully.
