Ai somehow made her way to some ancient ruins after having spaced out while taking a stroll in a forest and then getting lost only to find herself where she currently was. The blonde would sigh before a decently strong gust of wind would move through the area, in which she would fix her hair once it had fully passed through.

Her current attire consisted of a different off the shoulder dress. It's a dark sea foam-teal color with puffed somewhat sleeves and black spiked cuffs at the end. Her breasts still show but have very thin light green straps connecting to her choker-piece around her neck, resembling the belt she wears. The dress covers her lower half and goes between her legs, while the back part is much longer with spiked lining. Around her waist she has a black belt like piece with green circled pads on each hip, connecting to a very light blue ribbon/sash. Her hair also having a matching colored hairbow, while on her neck she has something matching the belt. Her shoes are black slip on's with same pads at the toe and ballerina-like wrappings around the leg. As well as a piercing just below and to the left of her left eye.

She would yawn, as she noticed that the sun was just starting to rise. She didn't get much sleep that night, due to having gone to sleep at her regular hour but having woken up roughly four hours later when it was still quite dark out. She wasn't the biggest fan of taking walks while on so few hours of sleep, but she had tried to sleep for roughly an hour afterward, but she hadn't been able to fall asleep again. She'd have to stay up the rest of the night and up until the next night, hopefully.

As Ai stood near these Ancient Ruins, she would sigh yet again, uncrossing her arms and walking ever so sightly closer to them, before stopping yet again. "Why didn't I just lay in bed and stay there until sunrise? This is going to be a hassle, trying to find something to keep my attention while I walk around trying to not simply just head home." She would say, stretching her arms before moving throughout the ruins now, scanning the area.

For a moment, she would stop and rub the bridge of her nose for a moment before starting to walk again and seeing a piece of rubble falling a few yards in front of her. She would quickly move to see what had caused it, but sighed for the umpteenth time after seeing that the cause was a decently large rat. She would continue on with her exploration throughout the ruins, muttering something under her breath. "Goddamned rat..."

She knew she got lost easily, but after ten minutes of walking and finding herself at the piece of rubble that had fallen for the third time or so was just ridiculous. She looked around after having reached the piece of rubble again, and even tried going back but eventually ended back at it. Man, she couldn't have this bad of a sense of direction! She was almost as bad as a green haired swordsman in a manga. Though she wasn't particularly fond of green hair, so she was glad she wasn't actually the equivalent to him now.

She would continue to explore, yet again, winding up to that piece of rubble. She would clench one of her hands before kicking the piece of rubble out to the distance before moving in a different direction. Would she continue on and arrive back in that same area, or would she be in a different area? Tune in next post.

As she continued her walking, she would eventually find herself at a new spot. Finally! That was almost as bad as the green haired swordsman from a notable manga, but this was starting to become as bad as beating a dead horse now. Sometimes she wished she had vision as sharp as the Sniper King, but even this was for a different time and place. She would eventually walk up to a meadow near the ruins and sigh a bit before she scanned the area with her red eyes. Nothing there seemed to be out of the ordinary. She would start to turn before hearing a squeak coming from the meadow and look again, to see some of the grass rustling. She would take several steps into the meadow before the rustling stopped. The blonde would continue to where the rustling stopped, only to find nothing. The rustling happened again, only a few feet away from her.

This cycle would happen for a few more minutes before she would place a hand on the handle of a blade that she was carrying. She would quickly drawing it, the blade of it being the basic grey blade and would use it to cut the grass, just to see a dwarf move into where the grass was cut with a horrified expression on it's face while Ai's expression was more of a bored one mixed with one of annoyance. "Get out of here... now." She said, and right away the dwarf would quickly move away from the ruins as fast as it could. She would sheath the sword and turn around only to see a blur move through the sky into an area of the ruins she hadn't been to before.

Again, toon into the next post to know more of what happens here!

The blonde would sigh and run a hand through her hair for a moment before she started on her way to where the blur had landed to, which was surprisingly silent. She would take the most direct path she could tell from the layout of the ruins. It seemed as if it took forever to even get to where she presumed, half way. She would sigh, speaking to herself as she continued her way. "Goddamn it, I thought I was better with directions than this. I didn't think that it was this goddamned far." She would say, as she started to sprint towards her destination.

However fast she sprinted, she didn't seem to get there any faster, just that she needed to make more and more turns. Now, after a good thirty minutes and having stopped sprinting to conserve some energy, she would walk upon the site where the blur had led to. However, as Ai scanned the area, there didn't seem to be anyone yet she felt like she was being watched. She would continue to look around until she had heard a decently sharp whistle from the top of the top of one of the buildings. She would turn her gaze to where the sound eminated from only to see a winged figure.

Upon further inspection, the one who had whistled had red hair that went past their waist in length, a helm partly in the shape of a dragons skull with three gems on it, along with armor that also had wings on it that seemed to move upon her own control along with the tail, and finally the figure held a staff of some sort. The moment she had finished observing the figure was endowed well enough to obviously be female. "You've kept me waiting." The woman would state, with a smirk on her face.

Ai would sigh as she heard the woman speak, stating that she had kept her waiting. "How the fuck did I keep you waiting if I wasn't searching for anyone here? And second off, who are you?" She would say, a bit annoyed at the woman who claimed that she kept her waiting considering the amount of times she got turned around at an area a while back, as well as having to deal with a dwarf moving through tall grass. She would cross her arms as she watched the red haired woman stand up from a sitting position, apparently using the tail on the armor to sit and a few clicks could be heard as she moved to the edge of the building she was on, which revealed that the armor also had heels. How exactly can someone fight in heels, the blonde couldn't ever figure out, even having gotten used to her body after a decently long while after having become a woman.

"You just didn't know you were searching for me. And I'll let you know who I am later on..." She would say, after winking after her first answer to Ai's questions. She would jump down from the building, using the wings on the armor to slow her fall, as if they were actually part of her. Ai still had her arms crossed and would sigh again as she watched the woman take a few steps towards her before stopping when she was only a few feet away from her. "Are you friend or foe?" She would ask in which the mysterious woman would bring her empty hand to her chin and acted to think before speaking. "I guess we'll have to find out soon enough." She'd say, smirking once more. The woman really seemed to like to dodge questions. Sigh.

Stay tuned for the next post.

Post by Akeya 27th November 2015, 1:05 pm

Finally an opportunity had been found for Akeya to just be out and fly around at night, when it was still dark but the promise of morning was close. She had been busy with jobs a lot lately, jobs which took several days and on which she couldn't afford to spend the night the way she wanted to. Most of those jobs had been with other people, which had been part of the problem: if she had been by herself Akeya could just have done the job at night and slept during the day, but there were very few people who would agree with her that it was better to be active at night and rest during the day. Then again, there were very few people who had been so strongly infused with the elements of shadow and darkness, so that wasn't much of a surprise. The fact that it wasn't a surprise didn't make Akeya any happier about it though. Ever since she got her blindfold she no longer had to worry about the sun blinding her, but still she preferred low intensity light and darkness over the bright noon.

Now, however, the half dragon was free to fly through the night sky, from time to time idly making vertical loops and other figures in the air as she used her long prehensile tail to keep her balance even during the more complicated tricks. She had been a half dragon for quite a while now, and she had adapted to the changes to her body quite well. In fact she had some difficulty imagining what it would have been to not have these altered body parts and new body parts. Not having wings and a tail would most likely feel particularly odd. She could still remember the time when she didn't have them, but in hindsight those times felt somewhat awkward as if something was missing. She was pretty sure that was just her mind having adapted to her new limbs, but that didn't make the feeling disappear.

As she flew about Akeya noticed that she was flying above some ruins she hadn't seen before. Filled with idle curiosity the half dragon descending a bit, beginning to circle overhead as she looked down on it. She wasn't sure if she had simply never been here before or if these ruins were new. In this world having a place like this show up out of nowhere would not be too surprising, seeing the kind of strange effects magic could have on the entire world. Akeya herself had been turned from a full-blood human to a half dragon, and her changes were not even ending. And she was but one example of the miraculous and amazing things that could occur because of the presence of magic.

Either way she wasn't sure what would be in those ruins, but she felt curious enough to try and find out. Going even lower she eventually landed on the highest spot on the ruins that she could find, which was quite easy having been able to look at it from above. Merging with the darkness that was the cloak of the night Akeya sneaked about a bit, cautiously exploring the ruins from the top. She felt at least two sources of magic down below, which meant that she wasn't alone here. That or there were magical items to be found in here, which could be a real possibility with ruins like these, regardless of their origins. Akeya narrowed her eyes as she focused, until eventually she heard something down below. So there were people in here. Or magical beasts. Either way, it piqued Akeya's interest further. This was a night where she could basically do whatever she felt like doing, because she had gathered enough jewels and had decided that it was better to take a break from training so that afterwards she could go at it with renewed vigour. She could just have kept going, but as strict as she was with her training she still knew of the importance of rest.

Some sneaking later and Akeya looked down upon the ground, where she could see two figures standing. One of them she had actually encountered before: it was that female which she had encountered in Rose Garden while looking for her current set of clothes because her old ones had become too small for her. Akeya wasn't completely sure what she was doing here, but the other one drew a bit more of the half dragon's attention. It was another female, and wearing what looked like armour that was meant to imitate a dragon. This made Akeya take a pause, especially when she saw that the wings and the tail that were part of the armour actually moved. For a half dragon that kind of thing was somewhat shocking.

Akeya's first reaction was to hide and watch for a bit longer, but then realized she didn't feel like it this time. She just wanted to get down there and ask that woman where she got that armour from, because she couldn't think of many ways to create items like that. And some of the possibilities she was thinking of didn't amuse her at all. Standing up Akeya jumped down, like the woman before her using her wings to slow her fall until she was standing several yards away from the other two females, the shadows of the night still making her rather hard to spot as she kept moving in and out of focus.

"Where did you get that armour?"

As usual, Akeya didn't really feel like being subtle or roundabout. Just ask the question immediately and see if she could get the woman to answer. Although Akeya was secretly just also staring at both the females with a somewhat different gaze, her blindfold fortunately managing to hide that in combination with the fact that seeing more than her shape would be a bit of a challenge. At least, if one didn't have dark vision, night vision, or magically enhanced sight.

Ai was growing more and more annoyed with the woman as she was dodging her questions with surprising frequency. As someone spoke, the blonde would quickly go and grab the hilt of the sword she had before turning and looking where the voice had come from before removing her hand from the weapon. "What're you doing here?" She had asked, looking at her before hearing the red haired woman speak up, answering the woman question. "My armor? Oh, I've had it for longer than I can remember. Why does it matter so much to you?" She said, with a smirk still on her face. Well, this was surprising to Ai at least, considering both the red haired woman, as well as the dragon woman.

The red haired woman would sit, using the tail of the armor to help her actually do so, before speaking yet again. "So, since you've asked me a question, it's my turn to ask you one. Were you always a halfbreed, or was it just a recent thing?" The red haired woman would say to her, which would cause Ai to sigh slightly before moving to a piece of rubble that was nearby and sat down. The woman wearing armor chose to also sit down, however, she used the tail on the armor to sit, more or less. "And this is just gonna get tedious..." She would say to herself, under her breath. The armor-clad woman would hear what she said, but she didn't show that she had heard, just waiting for the dragon woman to speak. Ai would move and sit down on a piece of rubble as she waited for something interesting to happen.

However, what would happen? You just gotta stay turned for the following posts coming up in the next however long!

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 29th November 2015, 12:33 pm

The one that Akeya had encountered before reacted with a fair amount of hostility when the half dragon revealed her presence, grabbing her weapon and staring at her with an expression which made it clear that Daiki wasn't too happy about her presence. The half dragon wasn't really satisfied with that reaction, but it wasn't too important, especially when compared to the presence of the woman wearing that living dragon armour. She appeared a lot less impressed or affected by Akeya's arrival, acting rather aloof and confident even though she was now faced with a half dragon who she most likely couldn't even see properly. Unless that armour gave her more than just functional wings and a tail.

The answer given by the woman to her question was not one Akeya could really use. According to the woman she had it for as long as she could remember or even longer, which either meant that she didn't even remember where she got it from, or wasn't willing to tell the half dragon. Either way she had the suspicion that even if she tried to push the subject she wouldn't get anything worthwhile out of it. From the looks of it she wasn't somebody who would be easily unnerved or intimidated, and that smirk was one she was used to seeing on somebody who knew they weren't being very helpful and weren't planning to change that fact. More importantly Akeya didn't know if she could force the answers out of the woman either. She was certainly no pushover, and besides of how her armour acted as if it was an actual part of her body the half dragon wasn't sure what the woman's abilities were. Attacking an enemy without knowing what they are capable of isn't something that Akeya is fond of, since it most often leads to one getting themselves into a position they can't easily get out of.

Then the woman stated that since Akeya had asked her something it was her turn to ask the half dragon something. This was a trick used by more people, assuming that both sides had the right to ask each other questions in turn. It was based on the idea that two people of equal standing would have to give each other the same rights, otherwise it would be unfairly biased in favour of the one who got to ask the most questions. Of course this worked only if both sides were cooperative, and since the woman herself wasn't giving her the answers Akeya wanted she wasn't sure if she felt like being helpful enough to actually give the woman the right to ask her questions in return and expect an answer. On the other hand maybe if she asked the right questions the woman would give her better answers. While the previous answer told Akeya next to nothing except that the armour was something the woman had already been wearing for a long period of time, just because she refused to answer one question the way that Akeya wanted her to didn't mean all her knowledge was inaccessible. Of course she'd first have to test that first. If the next question she asked was deflected like the first she might as well just stop.

Although she wasn't too happy about the question asked by the woman. It was one that could reveal quite a lot about the half dragon if she wasn't careful when answering it. Thinking quickly the half dragon answered, sounding rather neutral in the process.

"I've always had the blood of dragons. How does that armour move as if it is alive?"

Akeya then shifted her attention while she waited for the woman to answer. While she personally had more interest in the living dragon armour she also had to figure out why Daiki was here. She didn't know much about the mage, but she was powerful enough that not getting a good idea of her motives and goals could lead to trouble later on. From the looks of it Daiki didn't look too happy at the moment though, muttering something about it being tedious as she sat down. Akeya moved a bit closer to Daiki, although still keeping a safe distance from the two other females and staying inside the shadows so her form was next to impossible to make out.

"I like flying when it's night. Why are you out during the dark? The light is arriving, but this is not the time for humans yet."

This was becoming quite the strange night. Akeya had just been planning to fly about while she had the free time to spare, but then she encountered one strange thing after another. These ruins she had never seen before, and yet they looked ancient just like all other ruins. She had no idea whether it had really just appeared with the help of magic or she had just never been here before. And then she encountered two people when she had been expecting all the humans to have been asleep at this hour of the night. Even the early wakers would wait until the sun was at least visible on the horizon before getting up, and these two were out here in the near middle of nowhere. What's more, one of them wore some strange kind of armour that looked like a dragon, and more importantly the wings and the tail that were part of the armour acted as if they were alive and controlled by the woman wearing the outfit. And from the way she was using them she was quite used to using those extra limbs as well, which at least coincided with the claim that she had been wearing that armour for a very long time.

This wasn't exactly what Akeya had been hoping for when she went out for the flying equivalent of a stroll. However now she had more important matters to pay attention to than what she had been hoping for. She had to figure out what was up with that strange armour and why these two females were here at these ruins.

Both the blonde and the red haired woman would listen to the woman who chose to stay within the shadows state that she always had the blood of dragons and had soon asked the armor-clad woman how her armor moved as if it was alive. She would smirk before she would answer. But wold it be a deflection or would she actually answer? It entirely depends on ones outlook towards it. "You wanna know how I control my armor? It's quite simple, really. Magic. Or were you expecting me to really go ahead and shrug?" She had said, shrugging at the end. "Why don't you step to where we can see you easier?" She would ask, looking in the direction.

Ai had listened to the dragon woman as she stated that she liked to fly when it was night and had soon asked why she was out during the dark, stating that the light is arriving but now wasn't the time for humans. "I've been wandering around for several hours before I stumbled upon these ruins. I'd have left a while ago, but it was like a maze a while back and I somehow kept going to the same area..." She would say, moving one of her hands to pinch the bridge of her nose, sighing after having to remember the bothersome time she had spent going in circles for no reason whatsoever. She had even tired going a different direction, but it didn't even matter, as she just ended up at the same place every damned time.

The armor-clad woman would soon speak. "So, do you have a special title, or name, I can call you?" She spoke, tilting her head, keeping her smirk on her face. Though it wouldn't last long as Ai would soon stand up, drawing the blade, the blade itself being a simple grey color, and pointing it at the woman. "When I arrived here, you said that I had kept you waiting, when I didn't know anyone was here until I saw a blur move in this direction above me." She would state, taking a moment to breathe. "What exactly did you mean by that, woman?"

The answer that the armoured woman would give Akeya would provide information in more way than one, although her exact answer would still determine just how much information. If she gave a straightforward and useful answer that would be well and good, since it meant that the half dragon actually received some knowledge regarding the armour that was worth having. If she said something that both answered the question without giving anything away at all that would be somewhat annoying, but at least Akeya would know that she had no reason to give the woman herself any answers regarding questions about the half dragon.

In the end it appeared that the woman didn't feel like giving away too much information, as she answered that her armour functioned the way it did through the help of magic. While this could be considered a reasonable answer, since it was most likely true, it also didn't really give Akeya any clue on the exact details. She didn't know anything which she couldn't already have deduced with what she had seen so far, namely that the armour allowed the woman to have an extra set of limbs. Theoretically it could also have been some kind of advanced technology, but so far as Akeya knew that level of advancement was only available in very few areas and very difficult to get. It would be a lot easier to have a suit of armour which granted you limbs which you could control through magic, even if that in itself was already pretty rare. Just not as rare as if it used technology.

Either way, Akeya no longer felt like giving the woman any more answers, or at least any answers that were worth having. The answers the woman had given her weren't answers that told her anything useful besides that which she already knew, which in effect meant that the woman hadn't told her anything useful. So if the woman tried asking something of Akeya again she would most likely not get what she wanted, or only get what she wanted in a way that wouldn't help her at all. Although the half dragon wasn't planning to be petty about this. She just wasn't going to give anybody more than they gave her, since that might put her at a disadvantage if she wasn't careful. Better to avoid the possibility entirely than to risk it.

The request for Akeya to come out of the shadows so she could be seen properly was met with a period of silence, as if the half dragon was pondering the request seriously. Eventually a response would be heard, as neutral and distant as the first.

"I have no reason to trust you. Why would I show myself?"

Not the best argument ever, a fact Akeya was well aware of. Coming out in the open could be seen as a symbol of trust, which could convince the woman to be more open about herself. However the half dragon wasn't exactly known as the most trusting person. In fact she was quite paranoid, which was also why she was so stingy with her answers if she wasn't given answers that satisfied her in return. Unless she was given a good reason why she would let herself be seen she would stubbornly stick to the shadows, watching the other two with eyes hidden behind a blindfold which also blended with the dark of the night.

Meanwhile Daiki gave Akeya an answer to her question that set the half dragon thinking, since it was quite the suspicious answer. She didn't exactly doubt Daiki, at least any more than she doubted anybody on general principle. The idea that these ruins confused those who entered them on the ground level and guided them to this location would combine rather nicely with Akeya's own suspicion that these ruins hadn't been here for very long. That reinforced the idea that this place was magically created or transported, which in turn would explain why she hadn't found it before. In which case they would have to be very careful. The woman with the armour didn't look worried in the slightest, but that just meant this could be her trap. Daiki could be lying but the half dragon didn't see why she would be. The two of them would have to make sure they weren't caught in the web of whoever placed these ruins here, especially if they had set it up for the ruins to act as a maze that would always guide you to a certain location. The smartest move would be to immediately move away from that spot by flying upwards, where the ruins couldn't use their magic to confuse your path, but Akeya couldn't quite see a trap made of magic here. It might be better to wait for just a bit longer. Unless this really was a trap designed with Akeya's abilities in mind she should be able to escape even if it sprung. Daiki might be in some more trouble, but the woman was a capable mage. And Akeya might just help her if she believed there to be some gain to it.

However right now the half dragon just watched as it looked like Daiki had enough of the confident way the armoured woman was constantly acting, going so far as to draw her sword at the woman and state that she demanded answers regarding some matters. Matters which only made Akeya more curious about the armoured female. She really was giving the impression that everything which was happening right now was either part of what she was planning or not worrisome enough for her to be bothered by it. The half dragon moved yet a bit closer to Daiki, now quite clearly closer to her than to the armoured woman. She had encountered Daiki before and had a rough grasp of her personality and abilities. That was a lot safer than this new person with strange possibilities.

"Who are you, armoured female? You are acting quite knowledgeable and confident, even in a strange location like this one."

Ai already getting more and more annoyed at this armor-clad woman as both the Blonde and the red head heard the dragon woman as the armor-clad woman why should she show herself and that she had no reason to trust her. However, as Ai had soon drawn her sword, pointing the tip of the blade at the woman and spoke, she would smirk again before looking at her, then at where the dragon womans voice was coming from, then back at Ai. "I meant exactly what I said. You kept me waiting. I'm the one who's supposed to keep guard to this place, as is my deal, even though its current state is considered. I cannot leave these grounds after the amount of time I've spent here." She would say, her expression actually turning serious for the first time since Ai had been there. Seemingly, it had changed Ai's mind in which she would sheath her sword, however, she would speak a single word. "Shine."

After a moment, she would draw the blade once more and the color of the blade being a bit different before she looked at the woman who had stated that she had been there for long enough. The dragon woman would speak the the woman once more after moving closer to the blonde but staying within the darkness. "Who am I? I once went by the name of Tyr. I've also been called the Dragon Knight, as well as the Dragoon. I was once called the one fated to rule over dragons, but that time is long over now." She would say, looking into the darkness where the dragon woman was standing. "My armor isn't designed this way for nothing, ya'know." She would state again. Sadly, Ai's stand hadn't faltered in the slightest yet, the new blade pointing towards the woman.

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 29th November 2015, 3:32 pm

Even though Akeya was constantly thinking about possible traps and how she would deal with them the armoured woman kept going as if nothing was wrong, which could mean three things: one, Akeya was preparing for far worse than what was actually going on, which was not uncommon since if you prepared for the worst you would at least be prepared, and if you were wrong you would just be pleasantly surprised. Two, the woman knew what Akeya was thinking but whatever she was planning didn't require her to try and make Akeya think those things, either because whatever Akeya thought didn't matter or what she thought would just help pull her into whatever trap lay ahead of them. Or three, the woman was completely unaware of what Akeya was thinking and was just expecting her to easily fall into whatever trap she had waiting.

The curious thing however was that it looked like the woman held more interest for Daiki than for Akeya. Daiki was the one who got lost in the maze which apparently had caused her to arrive in this spot no matter what she tried. The woman had appeared before Daiki and told her that she had been waiting for her. The half dragon had just been flying around when she spotted the ruins and decided to investigate, feeling a certain curiosity. It gave the impression that honestly the woman hadn't planned for Akeya to be here, and she had only been planning to receive Daiki here. Whatever here turned out to be, besides some ruins which a strange maze-like layout.

As the woman answered Daiki she gave away some information that actually drew Akeya's attention. So this woman was a guard, which would explain why she acted so comfortable and relaxed in this place. That she couldn't leave was very useful. That meant that if the woman turned out to be hostile and too strong to directly fight they could potentially deal with her by just leaving the ruins. So in that way the armoured woman could be considered caged, although she didn't give the impression of being here against her will at all. She just looked like this was her place, and Daiki and Akeya were intruders, even if Daiki was one that she had been expecting and the half dragon was one that just happened to sneak in from above where the maze of the ruins had no effect on her. Which led to an interesting question: would that maze also be able to guide people away from the ruins if this woman didn't want them here? Might be worth trying to find out at some point, although only a minor curiosity when compared to the more important stuff that was going on.

Daiki responded to what the woman said by doing something...strange...with her sword. Akeya blinked as she sheathed the sword and said one word, and when she drew the sword again it was pure white. More importantly, it was filled with light magic, which made Akeya somewhat wary as she withdrew a yard or so away from Daiki. She wasn't a fan of light magic in any form or shape. She had no use for it and it only made things more complicated for a shadow half dragon like her. Luckily Daiki was still pointing the weapon at the woman so she didn't have to immediately deal with it. Still, if Daiki had such a weapon then Akeya would have to be careful.

However then the armoured woman spoke again, and this time she provided a lot more damage than everything she had said up until that point. First of all, they now knew her name. That was always useful, or at least made it so that the woman lost some of her mysteriousness, which in turn made it easier to deal with her. Although Tyr didn't give the impression of being more revealed. However that wasn't the most important piece of information. Several names the woman apparently had, but at some point somebody or multiple people had apparently believed that this woman was supposed to rule over all dragons. That didn't amuse Akeya in the slightest: as a half dragon somebody who ruled over dragons would most likely also try to lay a claim to her, and even though the woman was saying that the time that she had that fate was long past she still didn't trust somebody who was supposed to have that kind of fate at any point.

Akeya withdrew further into the shadows, glaring at Tyr from the safety of the darkness. The light of the sun was starting to colour the sky, so she would have to hurry up. The more the sun rose the less disadvantageous the half dragon's position would be, and she felt like she needed every piece of advantage she could get.

"You ask me to reveal myself knowing I'm a half dragon, and then reveal to me that you were supposedly fated to rule the dragons? That sounds like a trap to me. Give me one reason why I should not treat you as an enemy and kill you."

Truth is, Akeya wasn't planning to immediately kill Tyr no matter what. She might be claiming so, but somebody who had been called a ruler of dragons could not be weak. It would be better if she retreated and tried to find allies in the guild who could help her deal with this. This kind of situation required more subtlety and thoroughness than just calling the woman either an enemy or an ally and either helping or killing her. She would have to make sure that whatever decision she made regarding this woman it would be one she wouldn't end up regretting.

    "Do you trust her?"

This last part was aimed at Daiki, and spoken in a somewhat softer tone as if trying to keep it hidden from Tyr. However it wasn't as soft as it could have been, meaning that Akeya either was clumsy in how loud she was speaking or didn't find hiding it as important as she might initially make people believe.

Ai kept her gaze upon the woman who said her name was Tyr. Having listened to her entirely, Ai wasn't much caring as to what she was saying, however the dragon woman would speak up before Ai had the chance to say anything. "I never said that I accepted that, now did I? And if it was a trap, would I make it that obvious even with stating that? I even said that I was the one once fated to rule over dragons. My armor is designed so I could have an advantage over those not used to fighting dragons, however I never took what people said all that time ago to heart." She would say, taking a few steps forward. She would stop less than a foot away from the tip of Ai's blade as she was a few feet away from it mere moments prior.

Ai would barely hear what the dragon woman would say, and would shake her head in response before the woman would speak. "It doesn't matter in the slightest if either of you trust me or not. I've been stuck here for more time than I'd care for. Its been so long since I've actually seen someone, since I've seen anywhere else as well." She would say, the staff she held starting to glow ever so slightly as she stood still. The ftaff was seemingly starting to glow white, the same color as the blade that Ai was holding. "Will you actually be doing something with that blade or is it just for show?" She would say, looking at Ai from the corner of her eyes as she was facing towards the darkness where the dragon woman stood.

Ai would quickly scoff for the time being, before sheathing her sword and noticing that the staff had stopped glowing as well.

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 30th November 2015, 11:49 am

Even when Akeya tried to call her out on how suspicious she sounded, trying to get the half dragon to come forward only to then proclaim herself as formerly possessing the title of the one fated to rule the dragons, Tyr didn't appear to be inclined to lose her confidence and composure. Instead she called Akeya out on how she wouldn't make it so obvious that it was a trap if it was actually a trap. This would do well to convince the other side of the argument...If Akeya wasn't paranoid and knew that one of the best ways of creating a trap was to be so obvious about it being a trap that everybody who thought themselves clever (which, to be honest, was pretty much every single simpleton out there) would take it as a sign that it actually wasn't a trap, never once considering that maybe the show put on was designed to take care of those who would try being clever against a vastly more intelligent opponent. Akeya wasn't very easily convinced.

"Titles like that are not given without reason."

Tyr meanwhile had apparently decided to take a bit of a gamble in an attempt to have Daiki stop threatening her with that sword of hers, stepping forward until the tip was nearly touching her. Not too bad a decision, since the woman holding the sword didn't really look like she was eager to attack. She looked more like she was holding it to threaten than to actually attack, even after she went through the trouble of infusing the sword with light magic. This Tyr woman, however annoying it might be that she seemed so fearless and confident, was not somebody who they could just attack whenever they felt like it. Besides, she seemed to be trying to make the two of them more curious about her, and to kill that which you wondered about was always a bad idea. It would leave you with a bad taste in your mouth at the idea of losing the possibility of learning something. At least, that was how the half dragon experienced it, and she suspected Daiki wasn't different in that aspect.

Although the way that the armoured woman claimed it didn't matter if they trusted her or not was quite annoying, since it gave the impression that what might happen depended completely on what Tyr wanted. Did she think that the two of them were only here for her to feel good about meeting somebody intelligent after having been stuck here for so long? Did that also mean that she wouldn't let them leave until she was done with them? Or was she planning to kill them after she was done with them, to make sure they couldn't go and tell mightier mages about the dragon armoured woman and how she was a threat. Akeya narrowed her eyes at Tyr, even though her blindfold would make that impossible to see. She really didn't trust that woman, but more importantly Daiki hadn't given her an answer yet, since Tyr had reacted first. The armoured woman must have some sharp ears for her to have noticed what Akeya said.

Now that Tyr had made Daiki sheathe her sword, and there was no light magic present any more, Akeya relaxed a bit more, although the fact that the staff held by Tyr also could be infused with light magic didn't amuse her in the slightest. That could prove a problem should they be forced to fight at some point. However she wasn't sure what her next step should be... The woman didn't seem inclined to give her any reason to trust her, and at the same time acted as if their opinions and actions didn't matter, only what she herself wanted. At this point it might be a good idea to actually leave and try to gather allies to help invade the ruins and see if she could take this woman down and question her on her own terms. However that was a risky move, and one that also didn't feel like the right one to Akeya. One, there were plenty of stories about how eager raiders and armies would enter strange territory which was supposed to contain no resistance but some mysterious creature, only for the entire invasion to disappear from the face of the planet without a single mention of where they went. Attacking somebody on their own territory when you didn't know about their abilities or the secrets of the scenery was likely to backfire.

The second reason was that Akeya really wanted to know why these ruins were here, why there was a woman living here for so long, why and how she possessed armour that gave her controllable wings and a tail, what her deal was, what her abilities were, what that staff was, why she had been fated to rule the dragons, why that had never come to pass, and why Daiki had been drawn towards here. All kinds of questions which pulled at Akeya's inquisitive mind.

Then Akeya began to slowly move forwards, keeping at least several yards of distance between herself and the other two. She kept slowly moving until she was at the edge of the shadows which hid her from the light of the moon, which even at this hour was still up there in the sky. Then she stepped into the moonlight, which caused a rather surprising reaction: as the moonlight touched her she was no longer merging with the darkness and the shadows of the night. More than that, her scales suddenly turned a pure silver, her hair and clothing following suit, until what had first been the midnight blue half dragon was now reflecting the moonlight with her scales, her hair, her clothing, and even her claws. She folded her arms as she looked at Tyr.

"How has staying here for so long actually managed to tie you to this place?"

If either Daiki or Tyr had the required detection abilities they would realize that the change in colour was literally caused by the energy of the moonlight infusing Akeya, although if it had any effects besides changing her appearance...

Ai listened to the dragon woman as she spoke, stating that titles like tyr's were not given without a reason. This was true, though the blonde didn't give much of a reaction as she would run a hand through her hair for a moment before stopping and looking away from Tyr, still quite annoyed. "The titles relevance is no longer. Do you see any full blooded dragons here?" She would say, using her tail to sit where she had just been standing and crossed her legs. The blonde still kept her hand on the hilt of her sword even after having sheathed it, but she would continue to look away from the woman. "However, this title of mine was given to me when they frequented the sky quite often." She would say, looking over to the darkness where the dragon woman was.

The blonde would sigh and look at the woman now. "I'm gonna call bullshit on that, lady. Do you really expect us to believe that? That was centuries ago, if not over a millennia." She said, glaring ever so slightly at Tyr. "Believe it or don't. I frankly don't care if you do. And as for your attitude towards me, I'm frankly getting sick of it." The red head would say, uncrossing her legs and standing up, listening to the dragon woman as she asked how staying there for so long caused her to become tied to the place. "It's not that I'm tied here because I've stayed here for so long. It's because I've been tied here is why I've been here. If I could go back in time to undo a choice I made long ago, I would change it in a heartbeat. But since I can't, I've been stuck here ever since. Hell, even if I go near the range of where I can actually go is strenuous." She would say, staring at the dragon woman as she had left the darkness and seemed to be reflecting moonlight, giving her a silver tint.

Ai would quickly draw the blade to the sword again, charging towards the woman. "I'm tired of the shit you're spewing!" She would say, as she swung at the woman with the sword and its light infused blade. Tyr would move her staff in order to block the blade and as the shine caused by the blade coming into contact, however, before the light died down Tyr did something to throw Ai back and through one wall at least.

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 2nd December 2015, 5:23 pm

The first response Akeya was given to her last claim about the importance of titles was that while the title may have had relevance long ago, it no longer did. Akeya pondered upon this for a while before she begrudgingly admitted that Tyr had something of a point there. If Tyr had tried to claim that not all titles of that kind were important the half dragon would just have straight up told her that she was wrong, but the dragon armoured woman wasn't exactly incorrect when she said that while her title as the one fated to rule all dragons had once been meaningful, that didn't mean that meaning was still there. Titles could lose importance and meaning over time, just as some titles were worthless when gained and would only become important afterwards, after the one who bore the title had proven themselves worthy. Akeya was somewhat inclined to believe for now that Tyr wasn't lying that her title was one which used to be meaningful but had lost its importance over the years, instead of the other way around.

Although the comment about there not being any full blooded dragons around earned Tyr a snort from the currently present half dragon.

"Ruler of all dragons could just as easily mean all dragonkin as only the full blooded dragons."

However she left that alone after that single comment, instead focusing on something a bit more important. Tyr's next piece of knowledge was something which the half dragon had actually already been suspecting when the dragon armoured woman actually began to tell her and Daiki a bit about herself. She had mentioned herself as the one fated to rule all dragons. Which wouldn't work if there were no dragons. And from all the information Akeya had gathered dragons had become severely reclusive and difficult to counter quite a while ago. Significantly longer than the average human being could hope to live, in fact. Ruler of dragons was a title directly linked to the dragons. So if the dragons hadn't been around for so long that meant that this woman would also have to be a lot older than her youthful appearance suggests. It might have been a different case if her title was aimed at things still to come, but for now the half dragon was taking the assumption that wasn't so. This woman was somebody from the far past.

Daiki's disbelief earned her a quick glance from Akeya, but instead of commenting she just shook her head as she waited for Tyr to deal with that attempt at calling her out. They weren't dealing with a normal person here. There were a lot of stories about people who through various ways survived for far longer than they should have were they normal humans. To question something like that in a situation like this... Well, Akeya believed there were better things to focus on.

On the other hand, it was interesting to see how Daiki had finally managed to break that shell of confidence and complete control as the dragon armoured woman stated she had become sick of Daiki's attitude. That at least meant that Tyr's patience and leniency weren't of a supernatural kind, which in turn meant that she probably wasn't supernatural in intelligence and wisdom either. She would know a lot and have a pretty interesting point of view on reality as somebody who had already lived quite a while, but it wasn't like whatever Akeya and Daiki thought of was doomed to fail because their opponent was just too smart for them, able to see through everything they tried and figure out the best way to deal with it. A relief, since it would make things easier if it came down to a fight or a straight out conflict.

Akeya was still considering the information that the woman had been here for so long because she couldn't leave, instead of the other way around that she couldn't leave because she had been here for so long. So something had bound her to this place... Most likely that had to do with what this woman had been fated to become. Perhaps a dragon had managed to trap her here before she could actually become the complete ruler? Or perhaps the humans weren't happy about the idea of having to deal with a woman who acted as the ruler of all dragons. They were rather afraid of all dragonkin, after all...

However Daiki appeared to have enough and suddenly dashed towards the woman, leaving Akeya to watch as the two clashed. Well, not exactly leaving her. While the two of them watched Akeya jumped back into the shadows, the silver colouration of her being quickly being washed away as she almost immediately returned to being nearly completely undetectable. If a fight was going to break out she wasn't going to be so silly as to not make advantage of the shadows. For now however she was mostly positioning herself, ending up in the shadows closest to the two other females while still being outside of the range of their weapons, including Tyr's tail. Should she want to she should be able to attack either side from here-

The half dragon raised an eyebrow as suddenly Daiki was sent flying. Unlike the airborne woman her blindfold had allowed her to see what had happened. So Tyr actually possessed enough raw physical strength to launch somebody simply by punching them in the gut. Good to know, although something which could be expected from this woman. Akeya considered joining the fight or not, and eventually stepped back out of the shadows again to follow Daiki's flight path, although since she went through a wall before landing she would at least once step back in and out of the shadows, which might give any observer a headache as she smoothly shifted from appearing infused with moonlight to becoming invisible and back to moonlight infused. Once she stood in front of Daiki she looked down at the woman, if she was on the ground after her flight ended wrapping her tail around the woman and pulling her back onto her feet.

"I would advise against trying that again. She's not somebody you can just deal with by wildly swinging your sword. Also, what she says does actually contain some interesting information. For one thing we know that as somebody fated to rule the dragons, there was somebody with the motive, opportunity, and method to seal her away in this place."

Akeya wasn't too fond of sharing information with people who she didn't trust that much, but the information given away just now didn't tell Daiki anything about herself, and while she wanted to avoid this just developing into a full on conflict she didn't really feel like she should be trying to keep Tyr's secrets for her when she was the one who freely provided the information. And maybe she could use this to make Daiki stop attacking.

As the blonde had flown through the air after the flash of light and hit one of the ruins, before finding herself on the floor, more specifically on her back, coughing a bit. She had stared at the ceiling of the ruin, steaming. She'd sit up, almost to the point of where she would actually be letting off steam, or a steam like stream of light, for her case. However, once the dragon woman had followed her, she would be helped up by the woman using her tailed to wrap around her to do so.

Tyr would have her staff touch the ground once more, in a docile position where it had been before. She would soon watch as the dragon woman would step into the shadows and travel over to where Ai had flown through the wall. She would stay where she stood, looking over at the wall that had been created by the blonde she had sent flying. "I really hope you're not willing to do that again, child." She would say, as she started her way towards the area that she had punched the blonde towards.

Ai would dust herself off ever so slightly before look through the hole in the wall, seeing Tyr walking towards them. However, she had almost forgotten about her sword. SHe looked around inside the building, but she couldn't find it within the building. Hell, even the sheathe of the sword was outside. Once she heard the armored woman, she would scoff ever so slightly before walking through the hole in that wall. "Well, you're still just pissing me off. What do you fucking want with me if you've been here for so long?" She would ask, walking over to where the sword and sheathe were, picking them up and sheathing the sword, before glaring at the woman.

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 6th December 2015, 12:47 pm

Akeya studied Daiki carefully as she pulled the woman up with her tail and put her back on her own two feet before letting go. She looked more angry than anything else, apparently not having been injured significantly. Somewhat impressive for a human to be able to be punched straight through a wall and then get up looking more angry and ready to return the favour than anything else. Of course lately the half dragon had found herself giving humans less credit than they were actually worth. Possibly her draconic half looking down upon the hairless apes that just covered the planet with sheer numbers and then thought themselves special.

Either way she hoped that at least Daiki was not too angry to listen to her advice and not attack Tyr recklessly again. The woman wearing that draconic armour didn't look too angry about it this time, but the way that she dealt with the first assault at least showed that she wasn't helpless. Rushing at her was likely to lead to nothing but more pain, and if they really wanted to take Tyr down they would have to be careful and cunning about it. Even more so because Akeya didn't expect Tyr to take too kindly to another reckless charge. This first one she had just countered and now looked as if she didn't really find it worth noting, but if Daiki kept doing that she might get angry, in which case things would get more tricky.

Particularly because if Tyr lost her temper getting useful information out of her might no longer be possible. She might end up refusing to answer Akeya's questions out of sheer obstinacy and desire to be as unhelpful as possible to those two people in her ruins who were angering her so much. The half dragon had only come here by chance, or at least she thought so, but now she wanted to know more about what this woman was talking about, being the one who had been fated to rule all dragons before being sealed away here. Information was one of Akeya's greatest motivations for acting in this world, and there was some information to be found here that she wasn't sure she would have an easy time finding in other places. Of course once she got back to Clover Town she would be trying her best to find information about the woman called Tyr, but there was no guarantee for success.

Daiki didn't bother to give Akeya a sign that she had listened to what the half dragon had to say, but at least instead of just running at Tyr again she just looked particularly annoyed as she retrieved her sword and sheath and told the dragon armoured woman that she was still being pissed off by her. Not something Akeya could really do a lot about, even if the half dragon felt inclined to try. Quite honestly she did not. As long as Daiki didn't do something stupid in her anger she could be as furious as she wanted to be without the half dragon caring. Although the question about what Tyr wanted was a good one. She had already admitted that she had been waiting for Daiki, which meant she knew Daiki would come here and that Tyr wanted something from her. Akeya might have been an accidental arrival, but between the two other females there was something going on, and it might be important to know what.

Akeya herself also walked back towards the original clearing they had been standing in before Daiki was launched, folding her arms as her body and clothing once again were infused by the moonlight. Although the moon was starting to fade away as the light of the sun was starting to cover the sky, colouring it a fiery orange on the horizon that ever so slowly expanded. It wouldn't be much longer before the day would officially have replaced the night. Akeya would prefer it greatly if they could somehow finish whatever was going on here before that point. Or at least get some basic understanding going so she and Daiki weren't left blind in the dark even as the sun illuminated the scenery.

"Seeing how your only act of aggression so far has been to throw Daiki away when she attacked you I presume that whatever you want to do with her it isn't hostile. From what you have told so far the main possibility would be that you believe she might be able to help you be freed from these ruins, although seeing your overall behaviour you don't give the impression that you want to ask for help with anything."

She walked closer to Tyr, until the distance between the two of them had shorted to only a couple of feet, the half dragon still standing there with folded arms and firmly planted feet as if she was completely confident in the fact that either the armoured woman wouldn't try anything, or whatever she tried she would easily be able to deal with. Her gaze had enough focus that Tyr might feel it like a physical weight, although whether she would actually care or not would completely depend on her. Akeya herself never really tried to intimidate anything but weak-willed humans with only her glare. If she felt it necessary she had more useful tricks up her sleeve than just that. But right now she wasn't planning to use those: she would rather that this Tyr would be cooperative out of her own free will instead of having to be forced.

"I believe all three of us have an acceptable understanding of each other by now. None of us feel the need to act subservient to one another, and acting mysterious will only anger the other two since none of us feel like the others are in a position to act arrogant and disdainful. It might be better if at this point you just tell us why you were waiting for Daiki and what you are planning to do with her. Holding the answer away from us will only make it more likely that she will get annoyed and either attack again or try to leave."

Tyr looked over to the half dragon that had spoke to her before closing the distance between the two to only a few feet. "It's quite ill advised for me to even think about being freed with the amount of time I've been here. And there's only one thing I need from her, however, if she keeps up this current attitude, I'm inclined to just forget about it." She'd say, as the womans 'gaze' seemed to feel as if weight was being added to her, though she didn't pay much mind to it. She'd felt stronger gazes in the past. Now, putting that aside for the time being.

As the dragon woman spoke once more, she would again listen. She'd sigh as the woman brought up that it was better to not be as secretive, though she couldn't promise much. "Fine, if you seriously desire to know, I'll tell you. I need someone to pass this magic onto so it can continue on rather than simply be lost to time. Which is why I was waiting for her once she stumbled onto this land." The redhead said, glancing at Ai for a quick moment before looking at the dragon woman, taking a step or two closer. "You've still not told me your name, yet I've told you mine..." She said, looking at the dragon woman. "Also, you might want to make sure your gaze doesn't lay upon one wearing this armor for too long. One might get the wrong impression, if you two had perhaps made enough noise to have woken up one of the others, so just be glad I was the one you two encountered." She would say, looking over at Ai, who was looking away from her.

The most confusing thing that had been said, or at least one would think, would be the want of Tyr to make sure the magic she held didn't die off. But who knows, maybe it wasn't as confusing as one could possibly think.

Ai had listened to the dragon woman speak as well as the redhead. She wasn't really amused as to what was going on, though she was quite shocked to have heard that Tyr was looking for someone to pass the magic onto, and her choice had seemed to be her, though if she had continued acting the way she was, it would only be a matter of time before the magic she wielded was just going to become lost to the ages. She would sigh before looking back at the two, still looking slightly annoyed. "Why are you looking to pass it on, and let alone to me of all people?" She would ask, though the second question seemed to have an obvious answer to her. She didn't much care what she thought it was, she just wanted to hear it from Tyr's mouth.

However, as Tyr spoke, bringing up the fact that they were lucky the she was the one who had encountered the two first rather than the others. "You say you don't want your magic dying out, yet you say there are others. Do they have the same magic as you? If they do, why be worried that your magic will die out?" She would ask, curious as well as annoyed now. Sure, she still held the sheath by its handle, but she didn't plan on drawing it right now due to her curiosity actually being piqued since she had gotten there. She'd be trying to actually learn from the woman from here on out if she wouldn't be cryptic. But there were a few things that crossed her mind, most about the others that Tyr had brought up. Too many questions but not enough time, or so Ai would presume due to things such as this.

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 12th December 2015, 10:28 am

It was still going slowly, but Akeya had the feeling that now that she had managed to draw the attention of Tyr they were finally starting to get somewhere. A slow process, but it was better than just watching Daiki get angry because the armoured woman was being too secretive with who she was and what she wanted. Akeya couldn't exactly say that she was surprised by Daiki's anger, since having to talk to somebody who was making you curious without actually telling you what you wanted to know could be very frustrating, but right now it would be better if they just established some form of trust, enough that they could actually talk with each other instead of quarrelling.

Tyr approached Akeya until they were only a couple of feet away from each other, which could be seen as an attempt at intimidating the half dragon. Either that wasn't the case or it didn't work, as Akeya just folded her arms and looked at the armoured woman as Tyr gave her the answer to the questions she had asked. If Tyr herself thought that it was too late for her to be freed from this place Akeya wasn't going to argue, since the other female's imprisonment was not her problem. If she herself wasn't going to try it she shouldn't be surprised that the half dragon wasn't going to try it either. Although at least the statement that Tyr was also quite annoyed with Daiki was useful. It meant that she would be more inclined towards being cooperative it it felt like doing so would prevent further annoyance at Daiki not being happy with not being told what she wanted to know.

"As long as you actually tell us what we want to know you shouldn't have to worry about her attitude. She is just frustrated at being led here not knowing why."

The next piece of information caused Akeya's eyebrows to rise, although only from temporary surprise. It wasn't that strange that somebody in Tyr's situation would want to make sure that something she herself felt was important would not be lost. She was just surprised that this was the reason why Tyr would bring somebody like Daiki all the way here for such a thing. She was going to ask why exactly Daiki would be the one to learn that magic, but the woman in question actually beat her to the punch. It looked like Akeya wasn't the only one who was curious about that.

Tyr stepped yet further forwards, but this time Akeya reciprocated the action so there was nearly no space left between the two of them. The half dragon stood proudly, her feet firmly planted and her back straight, her wings slightly unfurled to help make her look larger and more majestic. It was very clear that the half dragon was not feeling either threatened or intimidated, instead facing Tyr like an equal.

"All right, I'll tell you my name. I am Akeya Kuusai, as you have already guessed a half dragon. So far as I know the only one who exists in this time period."

The warning about gazing too long at somebody wearing that armour made Akeya's eyes narrow, studying the woman's entire body with those piercing eyes hidden behind her blindfold before responding.

"You did not mention those others before. And what impression might you get from me not taking my eyes off one of whom I don't know whether I can trust them fully or not?"

Daiki's questions about why the woman would worry about her magic dying out if there were others made Akeya briefly glance in her direction before looking back at Tyr, her tail idly moving from side to side as her scales continued to reflect the silver moonlight and look like they were made out of that moonlight themselves.

"If there are others here it is likely they are also bound to this place. They would not help Tyr make sure that her magic wasn't lost to the wheels of time, since if the only ones who know the magic are stuck inside the ruins it might as well be lost to the world. It is pure luck that I happened to find these ruins, and you were drawn to this place on purpose."

Despite of Tyr's warning Akeya continued to gaze at her, inspecting her carefully so that if the woman tried anything the half dragon would be able to anticipate it. Body language was difficult to hide, and Akeya was practised in reading it. That and Tyr wasn't exactly that unpleasant to look at, although for now Akeya would just keep that comment to herself. She wasn't sure how Tyr would respond to that opinion, although maybe that had been what that warning about getting the wrong impression had been. In which case the question would be if that impression was actually wrong, since Akeya was in fact pretty much using her blindfold to hide the fact that she was leering. Subtly, of course, but it was still there, hidden behind her openly studying Tyr in case the woman's body language gave something away.

"Also I have to assume from your words that those others who we might have woken up if we weren't careful aren't as willing to talk as you are. If they would not be willing to talk, why are you? Do they not share your desire to preserve this magic, and if so is there maybe a reason for that?"

Honestly that last question was just Akeya sating her own curiosity. As long as Tyr's magic wasn't something like actively controlling dragons she didn't really care, and in fact was looking rather forward to seeing what Daiki would be learning. This half dragon was something greedy when it came to gathering knowledge, especially knowledge about magic. However knowing more about those others who apparently were present here was also important, and Akeya didn't want to be surprised by something she didn't know anything about.

The redhead would nod as she listened to what the dragon woman had said, telling her that if she told them what they wanted to know they they wouldn't have to worry about the blonde's attitude. She would nod, but she couldn't make any promises to tell them everything she knew or everything about the area due to not being there to protect it by her own choice. And soon after she would hear the woman state that her name was Akeya, and stating that she only knew of only herself that was the only one who exists in the current time. "I'm thankful that you shared your name, Akeya." She would say, before hearing Akeya speak once more.

"If I did not want you here, you would not have been able to have set foot here. And I speak about that impression as if I was more like the others. They're not like how they were, they choose not to speak much and rather fight should people decide not to heed what warning they give." Tyr spoke, before looking at Ai as Akeya started speaking again. "I'm willing to talk only due to the fact that I'm the youngest one to have been trapped here, by several hundred years." She would say, as one could hear Ai sigh now.

The blonde would take a few steps forward to the armor-clad woman, who was standing decently close to Akeya, before speaking. "Alright, you've got my attention, how will I be keeping your magic alive?" She asked, before Tyr had taken a step back from Akeya before turning and walking over to Ai and stopping a few feet from her. "It's simple, however due to what happened earlier before you got here, you're on a severely limited time span of what you're able to do from here, and the time we've wasted since I showed myself." She would say, as she started to draw a symbol around Ai in the dirt with her staff. Ai didn't recognize it from any book she had read at any point in time. "Sit and start focusing your energy in trying to summon a weapon or armor. This symbol gives you the ability to access weapons and armors of the Dragon Knight. Or Dragoon, both names fit." She would say as Ai would sit, with a sigh making sure she was comfortable and that nothing would be seen if a breeze of wind had gone through the area.

Tyr would look over to Akeya after Ai had fully started to focus, and soon speak. "I hope you'll help defend her should any of the others wake up..." She would state, as the ground started to shake slightly with a ten second interval or so between them.

Akeya huffed softly as Tyr thanked her for telling her name. She still wasn't sure whether actually giving away any information on herself was a good idea, but so far it looked like Tyr wasn't inclined towards lying. She might not be too eager to spill secrets and the like, but there is a difference between withholding information and outright lying. A difference which not everybody saw but which could make all the difference. Tyr had said that she couldn't leave this area, and Akeya was inclined to believe that was the truth. It would have been better if they had some kind of confirmation, but that was probably asking for more than the armoured woman was willing to give. Either way, if it was true that meant that Tyr couldn't actually use Akeya's name for anything, since that information could only be used to gather more information. That extra information could actually be dangerous for Akeya, but it wasn't accessible for one who could only stay in these ruins. Still, to actually thank her for her name was a bit much from the half dragon's perspective.

"Since you have given us actual information it is only fair I give you this much."

The comment about how Akeya couldn't have been able to come here if Tyr didn't want her to come made the half dragon take pause, narrowing her eyes as she bites her underlip hidden behind her cloth mask. Did that mean that she had already been noticed by this woman even when she was already flying? She was pretty sure that when flying at night she was nigh undetectable by most means which didn't consist of actively scanning for her. On the other hand she got the impression that Tyr had some kind of control over this entire place, the way she could apparently decide that Daiki would arrive here even if she tried to get away and could spot Akeya and allow her inside. Although now she was also wondering why Tyr would have allowed her to enter the ruins. Was it because the woman believed that the half dragon could be useful or because she didn't see Akeya as a threat? If it was the first she'd have to be wary, if it was the second that was only extra confirmation that she had to be careful around this person. She would bow or act subservient, but needlessly angering Tyr might not be a good idea...

Especially when the information was added that those others had become rather aggressive in their prolonged isolation in this place. If the only thing that kept Tyr from being more tolerant was the detail of how long she had been stuck here that meant that Tyr could also lose her patience. Not right now, but she had stated that she already had been here for a pretty long time. Just because she wasn't quite as impatient and aggressive as the others didn't mean that she hadn't already lost some of her patience to the sands of time.

As Akeya was pondering this Tyr had moved on to Daiki, drawing some symbol around her and talking about what she would have to do to learn the magic Tyr possessed. Magic to equip armour that allowed one to control the limbs of a dragon without actually possessing them. Interesting, but for the half dragon ultimately not as useful because she actually had those limbs herself. At best that magic would allow her to enhance herself. Of course she could still gather information on it, so she watched carefully even as she made some distance and kept an eye on their surroundings. The mention of others and the fact that they were notably less patient than Tyr meant that she had a new reason to be on her guard. In fact she no longer felt like stepping into the light was worth the trouble. Tyr had already been able to see her, so she shouldn't mind when Akeya stepped back into the shadows, quickly merging with them until she could only be seen with a lot of difficulty or magically enhanced sight.

As Daiki prepared herself Akeya was beginning to move around, exploring the amount of shadows available to her. Tyr was still seeing her, but apparently the armoured woman had some kind of trick that allowed her to detect people in these ruins and right above them. The half dragon frowned and came to a halt as she realized that meant that the others might also possess that ability. That meant she had pretty much no chance to surprise them with a sneak attack if they weren't already distracted. Maybe Tyr could help with that, since the armoured woman requested of her to help if the others woke up. The half dragon curtly nodded, twitching her fin-ears as she tried to figure out where the source of those small quakes was. She'd have to prepare herself for this fight, since if they were enough to make Tyr wary that meant they were a serious threat. Especially with magic armour that gave them powers similar to those of a dragon.

"I'd rather not see her die, so I suppose I should. Although I do hope that there's also something in it for me afterwards. I don't like spending energy on something without gaining something from it myself."

A rather selfish statement, but since Tyr was supposed to rule all dragons in the past she should have seen it coming that a half dragon wouldn't be the most charitable of people. The fact that Akeya was already preparing to help instead of waiting for Tyr to offer her something as a reward was already more than the armour woman might have been able to ask of some random stranger who had just shown up. Akeya herself was mostly just curious regarding if and what Tyr would reward her with. She looked around as she waited for something to happen, conserving her energy and gathering it in her limbs so she could swiftly react the moment that something occurred. Standing guard was a tricky business where one couldn't act, only being able to react, and could not slack off while waiting.

Tyr would nod to Akeya as she had spoken and gave a slight smile to her as the earth continued to shake every few seconds. She would glace over at Ai, who seemed to start reaching a bit of trouble doing so after a few moments, small orbs of corrupted light appearing and disappearing around her, and even hearing a stifled groan every time one of them had touched her. Her breathing seemed to have slowed down from what it had been, and even with what seemed to be her in pain, she continued to breathe slowly.

"You or may not actually get a reward, depending on what happens, however you'll have knowledge about something from what was prominent here." She would say, shrugging slightly. She wasn't entirely sure as to what was there that could have been used as a reward or anything, to be honest. But that would be dealt with when that came to pass. She would look back at Akeya before speaking again. "I can't say that, if a fight breaks out, that it'll be very easy considering the others are quite a bit stronger than myself. So you'd have to expect quite a fight from any of them, let alone should they come all at once," She would say, pushing her staff into the ground so that she could cross her arms. She would look towards the sky as the sun continued to rise. Yup, the rising sun. No not a certain real world area, but just the actual sun rising in the sky.

Birds chirping, even with the ground shaking even more than it had done so, noticeably. Would there be a giant fight between the others that Tyr has mentioned or would Ai finish this before that happened? Only time would be able to tell.

Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private) Empty Re: Radiant Avatar Daiki's Secondary Magic Training (Private)

Post by Akeya 12th December 2015, 2:04 pm

It appeared that the time for talking was beginning to reach its end rather quickly, if the tremors of the earth were any indication. Together with that was Tyr's warning that the others were actually stronger than her, which didn't say anything good about their chances of being able to get rid of them without interrupting Daiki's training if they decided to show up. Even worse, there was more than one, and if even more than one showed up it'd turn from very difficult to just outright life threatening. Well, she wondered if they would actually approach Tyr with the intent to kill, which might help, but on the other hand Akeya also didn't know if Tyr was going to be aiming to kill. If they had all been here together for hundreds of years they might have inhibitions against causing too much harm to each other. The half dragon really couldn't make a guess about how that might turn out. She'd just have to watch how they fought each other and draw conclusions from that, seeing how she didn't want to give away her location by talking from this point on.

Daiki seemed to have some trouble with her training, but it was not something Akeya could help her with. The female mage would have to get through this on her own, and it'd either work out or it wouldn't. It was all in Daiki's own hands, and if one believed in that fate or destiny as well. For the half dragon the current priorities were fairly simple: she just had to keep watch and make sure that if something approached them she'd help Tyr keep them at bay while Daiki tried to complete this strange training. Which honestly wasn't really training. If Akeya had to describe what was happening she'd say that the symbol that Tyr had drawn on the ground around Daiki would put the required magic and knowledge straight in Daiki's body so she wouldn't have to spend days or weeks practising and mastering the basics. A way to speed up the process significantly, but it would surprise the half dragon if that very same trick was also why Daiki sounded like she was in pain. Shortcuts to learning magic tended to have drawbacks, most commonly that it would take some time before the magic would stop causing discomfort for the user. Well, that'd be for Daiki to figure out how to deal with it.

As for Akeya while she had asked for a reward she had no idea what she would actually ask for if given the choice. There were of course some vague possibilities but nothing that she would really ask for. Honestly she just hoped that Tyr had something that she could afford to give away. Otherwise the half dragon would need some time to figure out what she really wanted. Tyr had a point that she was already learning some special knowledge she otherwise wouldn't be able to possess just by being here, but that wasn't really a reward as much as a side effect of ending up here. Well, that's what Akeya told herself anyway. The armoured woman had said that if she hadn't wanted Akeya here the half dragon couldn't have come here, so the fact that she allowed Akeya to arrive even though she was already planning to teach Daiki this magic, or rather, give it to her, meant that she had already accepted that Akeya would learn about it, in which case it couldn't really be called the reward for protecting Daiki while she learned it. Whether Tyr would agree with this train of thought or not was another question entirely, and one that Akeya would focus on getting an answer for after they were done here.

An important question here was whether Akeya was actually allowed to kill whatever would come here, if something managed to show its face before Daiki finished her training. She was thinking no, since otherwise it would be likely that there weren't that many of these people left, given that they had hundreds of years to get angry at each other and kill each other. She'd probably have to do her best to keep the aggressive ones at bay without outright killing or crippling them, which somewhat upped the difficulty level of what they were trying to do here. Killing was a lot easier than harmlessly incapacitating somebody, despite what others might try to say to each other. Well, maybe they were right, but only in a very specific way which didn't really take Akeya into account. The difficulty in killing wasn't the actual killing, but the fact that most people have conscious and subconscious barriers that make them repulsed by the idea of ending another's life. For a human to kill another human there would usually have to be a very strong explanation for why they would do that. Those who didn't have that inhibition tended to either have been brought up in such a way or had something funny going in their head. And even then most would replace that revulsion by feelings of glee or enthusiasm. Their switch would be completely flipped.

If one had to ask why Akeya didn't feel anything in particular when it came to killing the answer would have to be because she didn't really act like your average person. There was a reason that she was turning into a dragon, and it wasn't just luck or coincidence. From a young age Akeya had already been not as connected to humanity as practically anybody else she had encountered. Becoming a half dragon had only made that worse.

Sitting in the shadows Akeya judged the position of the sun by the way the shadows were twisted and reshaped as the rays of light gained a new origin and thus dispersed the darkness from a new angle. It was still morning, but the longer this dragged on the less shadows Akeya would have left to use against the possible assailants. She was rather hoping they wouldn't show up at all, since she didn't feel like fighting especially if she was forced to try and deal with them without killing them, but if they had to show up they should show up as soon as possible, so she could use as many shadows as possible against them. Thus the half dragon waited, merged with the shadows and invisible to the naked eye as she waited and judged.
