Zecarayus sat down at the dead tree that, if followed down the path next to it, would lead you deep into savage skull territory. Zecarayus knew this because, well, he ran into a hunting patrol of them which fortunately he escaped from. He sat by the dead tree to rest before deciding his next move. He was actually quite fortunate to be able to see where the clearing before you entered the spooky forest, meaning he could run to safety if he had too.

However it struck him as sad, this was a really good place to be able to practice his necromancy due to how many people have died here. This was reinforced by the spirits who kept saying the lichborne, and he had to conclude that this lichborne knew a magic similar to necromancy, which worked in his favor. And, oddly enough, the spooky forest gave him a natural comfort. Because he himself had already experienced horrors by the spirits in Thedas and could see spirits here that for people without the sense would consider creepy, the spooky forest's atmosphere did not disturbed him and almost calmed him.

What did disturb him though was the fact that an illegal guild called the forest their hunting grounds, and he ran into a hunting party of them. He did not think though that they venture out as far as he was due to the lesser amount of spirits around him, so he could probably assume he was safe this close to the opening of the spooky forest and as long he did not venture down that path again. Still though, explore the spooky forest around the clearing or venture back to fairy tail?I could go back but, maybe I could mark some places in here for exploration later? Then again I might run into those savage skull again, he thought and shivered at the thought of the insane girl who had the victim hostage, she would be the last person zecarayus would want to run into.

He would have sat by the dead tree planning his next move while surrounded by a few spirits, which would serve as an warning of anyone approaching which zecarayus would have to treat with caution, or run.

Post by Raiza 29th September 2015, 10:04 pm

A muffled chuckle escaped the lips of Raiza as he was perched on a nearby tree. Though he wasn't part of that hunting party the words of the guards stationed at the guildhouse was rather an interesting story. Someone managed to escape the hunting party hm? odd but doub'tful. However when they spoke of necromatic powers and the general description, Raiza's eyebrow perked up. 'that sounds like that idiot I was on a job with.' Trying to get an idea right away of how he could even go about using this knowledge, the youth would simple jump from his branch and land with a rather hard 'thud'. Hands still in pockets as the youth began to walk off.

"Heading out for a stroll don't send anyone after me got it?" His words were directed the the savage skull guards who still showed distaste that he ordered them around. The simple 'guards' were hired or 'owned' people anyways, not like they could do anything. Defying him would be defying any SS member, and that'd be bad. 'knowing him... this forest would be still keeping him around, and if hes like anything I Remember he used spirits and the dead to fight. THat means I should conceal myself....'

Though easier said than done, he only wished he could, but instead kept walking towards the direction that he heard the guy ran off to and the hunting party lost. Eventually, after many hours of traveling, he'd make it far deep into the forest before he picked up on a slight magical presence, he recognized this one too. 'up... how'd I know I'd find that idiot', without hesitation, Raiza kept walking not caring if a booby trap was set or not, he'd deal with one if it came his way, then again, if... it came his way, he knew he had a spare set of eyes at all directions watching out for him.

Zecarayus had decided to go exploring deeper into the forest against the obvious better choice of leaving the spooky forest that day. Why? Because he felt something. Zecarayus got the feeling as he was just about to leave, like a beckoning call to him. He could not have had ignored it, and followed it deeper into the spooky forest. Whatever it came from, he knew it was away from the savage skull thank goodness, however it was only a small comfort. The deeper he went the more the atmosphere seemed to change, it was as if he was in someone else's space. He knew though that he was no longer heading into savage skull territory but he had entered much more violent grounds.

The pack of wolves battled each other ferociously as each were determined to end the other. However one side had much more of an advantage since, one they were already dead, and two, zecarayus was commanding them. With the last of the enemy wolves dead, zecarayus considered about bringing them along too, but his own pack held up very well. He continued to walk for a hour or so and realized their was no more need for the dead wolves and let them rest, leaving behind a trail of fresh corpses that the scavengers of the forest took full advantage of. Although zecarayus took no pleasure in so many animal's deaths, but was not going to let himself die either. Another hour or so of traveling to the source the forest still held its threat over him, however it was odd that nothing else decided to attack him. And then...

Zecarayus noticed the spirits attention shift, was it another animal? No, if it was the animal would have already charged, so what could have gathered the spirits attention? He grimly realized another mage would have had, and it could be almost certain it would have been one from the savage skull. But why? He had ventured so far into the forest that he was sure at least he did not go down one of there paths again so why? Was he in some kind of burial ground of theirs? Spirits were here too, but that threatening feeling still remained, heck he never got this feeling when he actually ventured into savage skull grounds by accident. Zecarayus got behind a nearby dead tree, the spirits still kept their attention to the approaching raiza and zecarayus waited for for the stranger to get closer so he could see who it was. Zecarayus did have the hope that this was not someone who had the intention of killing him but if he had to, he would defend himself.

OOC: Like the terrain shift idea and even though I used your character's name it does not mean my character knows this info.

Post by Raiza 3rd October 2015, 8:07 pm

Each step the youth drew closer to the necromancer it was almost as if fate was slowly drawing each closer and closer to each other. Then again, he took the time to know these woods fairly well and it wouldn't be hard to locate someone that the hunters had lost trail of. They could have perhaps already left the woods but Raiza knew better. He knew someone with the power over the dead would be still here trying to search for some more power no doubt but when he finally caught wind of Zecarayus' magical presence, he only could smile. 'Yup I was right...the gossip was him... Now if I know any better, he'd already know I was here, but my magical energy has long already changed after all...' almost too eager to walk faster, Raiza instead smiled he was certain the life around him was already onto him and so hiding to play any sort of prank was no go. Though right now, Raiza just wasn't in that type of 'game mood' any longer. No, he lost that friendly touch a long time ago.

So instead his words were whispers before his body faded into the forest's dim glow. The lack of bright lights made his invisibility spell work all that much better, slowly creeping through the woods until he got closer. "So you escaped from Savage skull have you", the voice rang out from Raiza as he ended his invisibility spell but he was instead now standing across from Zecarayus, having eluded his spirits through invisibility and masking his own presence. The distance between them was a good ten or so feet away, Raiza was simply leaning against a tree staring at Zecarayus whom was no longer concealed since Raiza simply walked around.

Zecarayus was startled to say the least when he heard the voice. He looked left and right in front of him before the figure stood out among the row of trees in the spooky forest. Zecarayus was prepared to cast a spell, a small ball of purple flames glowed in his hands, but then recognized the stranger. The stranger was the same one he went with to kill the vulcans, and escaped the fire with. Zecarayus stopped prepping the spell and lowered his hand slowly, he knew enough that the stranger was strong, and did not want to provoke him. But it was odd, what was he doing in the forest this deep? And how did he know that zecarayus had a run in with the savage skull? Zecarayus had an idea about why the stranger knew this info, but hoped it was wrong and decided to think of the better outcome. "Well hello to you to stranger. And honestly I merely had a run-in with the savage skull and ran away from them, I doubted they had wanted me originally. Of course, I have to ask why do you care about them?" He finished with a question toward the stranger. Zecarayus was still cautious though, the feeling did not go away of being threatened and the stranger suddenly appearing did not help put it to ease.

Of course the spirits knew of raiza's membership in the savage skull guild, they had seen him around the forest with the other members. Now of course, it would be interesting what were to happen now. Would raiza kill zecarayus? Torture him? Hunt him down and kill him? Regardless the spirits were very happy they had entertainment again and started to take bets on what outcome may happen with this encounter.

A snide grin crossed the lips of the youth as he looked up towards the layers of green and black that was the thick beginnings of the tree brush. The lack of light made this the opportune and perfect time to strike from the shadows if any of the guild-mates were around, but Raiza knew better that he wasn't followed. Luckily that he wasn't at least, or that could have forced his hand to go against this once comrade and ally. It was the truth he should worry more about his presence now than ever but one thing was for certain, right now he didn't see the man in front of him as an enemy, but instead just a peaceful encounter in a potential game.

"I dont, I simply asked a question if you had escaped from them or not. I'm merely here to train, and encountered your magical presence". In truth as unstable as Raiza could become to be a twisted game master bent on torturing his victims he didn't see this one as worth that effort, nor did he see them fit for it as they were indeed once an ally.

Even now, Raiza was casually thinking "You play any games?", not truly in the mood to do much other than play a game, though he had his own 'reasons' behind requesting a game to be played, in fact it wasn't going to be revealed just yet, and coicedentally he knew a few various ones he could play right about now. It was his own way of doing a few things that he had planned or in store. "Or are you just here to play with the dead?" hinting at the fact that the whole...rotting corpse smell lingered in the air so heavy that it'd make any normal person puke.

Zecarayus watched as the stranger looked at the sky with a smile, which zecarayus took a glance up to. Did he find something amusing in the canopy of gloomy trees? Zecarayus looked back at him as the stranger answered his question. You train here? zecarayus thought to himself, these woods did not look like the place to train. Then again, zecarayus himself wanted to practice his magic here, so maybe the place itself could be used for combat practice. Their was enough wolves here to kill definitely, even if he just killed a lot of them.

"Oh!" he muttered to himself as he began to notice again the scent of decay, zecarayus himself was so focused on fleeing that he blocked it out until he relaxed a little. He himself was already used to the smell of decay due to his magic, but it did not mean he liked to smell it. He coughed a little before he took a deep breath through his mouth and looked at the stranger again, who now asked zecarayus if he knew any games.

"I suppose I don't know a whole a lot, apart from chess, which its funny because the chess played here is the same chess played from where I come from." After he said that he started to breath through his nose again, more use to the heavy stench of decay. "However I usually play with bones, flesh is not something I'd like to use by choice stranger...I suppose you have a reason for asking?" he asked the stranger with curiosity. It would have been common sense to just politely turn down the question and leave the forest after such a bad day. But wouldn't that be a waste of a day? In truth the threatening feeling just like the smell of decay moved to the back of his head, and now in the presence of an associate at least, so why not carry conversation, besides it seems this was going to lead somewhere and zecarayus wondered where. In truth, zecarayus was starting to get a taste of a rather unfortunate side affect of necromancy. Insanity, and it was creating a false sense of security, or was it truly false?

So his one ally didn't get the hint. Even if the words he spoke were not direct, he was surprised one never realized exactly why he asked about games. Not just because he himself liked games, and in fact would strive to play them even if they were sadistic in nature. "I see", his voice sounded unimpressed when he already knew that his subtle hint was not enough. These woods were in fact were the game grounds to the hunt that savage skull did.

"Chess huh, well then, you have good taste. " Commenting lightly on it to keep the conversation going, he lowered his gaze back to the one in front of him. His piercing eyes looked right at the one he was conversing with. Not persay to intimidate but to draw seriousness into the conversation.

"why are you still in these woods then? You know they'll catch up, right?"
Fully knowing that they were not going to catch up. Then again... they did the moment Raiza stepped foot near this area. Though he wasn't part of that hunt, not this time at least. Maybe in the future he would, but then again why let your pray run? Why not capture and put them in a room and toy with them there. Much more blood and gore that way anyways.

Zecarayus paused and raised an eyebrow when he heard the serious tone. Oh? zecarayus thought to himself. Zecarayus thought that he was having a pleasant conversation, yet the question and the tone it was asked in suggested otherwise. Of course it made zecarayus suspicious about why the stranger wanted to know so much...but he brushed it aside. He needed to trust people more rather then think they were against him, of course it did not help that he did not knew this man's name either, oh well. "Like I said before, I doubt they were after me originally stranger, but as why i'm here..." he said to him rather relaxed, then stopped when he saw the spirits turned their attention away from the two.

Zecarayus looked in the direction of where the spirits looked, nothing. However he knew enough that something was nearby to get their attention, and the urgency returned to his face as it could have been the same savage skull members that tried to kill him from earlier. But why? He himself was sure enough to stay away from the first trail he went down, and he did not think he was in their territory still. Then again it could have been something else entirely, but it was better to be safe then sorry.

"Well, whatever I ventured here for will have to be put on hold, as I suggest you quit the day too stranger." He said as he started to walk to right of where raiza was, though putting plenty space between them. He looked outward to the forest and thought about the feeling still nagging at him, he needed to find it for sure, but it had to be another time for his and the stranger's sake. Speaking of the stranger..."Well...I suppose on a different day when their is less chance of us getting hunted by savage skull, would you like to help me find what led me this deep?" he turned and asked the stranger, which zecarayus now trusted enough to ask for help. The feeling still nagged at him that he needed to find this power that drew him here, but he was not stupid. It was not worth dying over to find this source that drew him here, no matter if it was his life or another's life.

His typical calm demeanor only slightly changed at the magical presence he felt at a large distance. He knew it wasn't savage skull, but this guy in front of him thought it was. It was unfortunate that the meeting was going to end so fast, but he was right. It was time to go after all. A member of savage skull shouldn't be meeting someone like this. Though the fact was, as long as he existed, then the fact the savage skull is near would always be true.

"Perhaps, but no promises... maybe...but I cannot provide you with any comfort, and if the wrong situation happens, I wont be allowed to hold any promises" trying to stay vague but informing was hard. He wasn't about to reveal who he belonged to, but at the same time, this person was like bell. An old ally that he'd not try to cross unless he had to, but what would happen if savage skull would have caught up? Its unfortunate but he would have had to take his guild's side.

His gaze shifted towards the distance as he pushed off from the tree he was leaning on. "Within these woods lies a hidden danger. i advise you to find another spot to train from now on", his possibly empty words were nothing before he began to walk deeper into the woods, casting his invisibility spell as he did, slowly vanishing beyond the dark fog of the spooky forest, heading back to his guild. 'so...the pieces on the board are set. Your move'
