Holding absolutely no mercy towards the apes, she headed straight towards the two who were paralyzed. The large beasts twitched and jerked against the ground, trying to push themselves up, but only ended up hugging the earth's surface with each attempt. But, even if she took this chance to get rid of them like she had the others, there were at least three more left, refusing to have their comrades harmed. Natsu leapt out of the way just before a fist - large and bulky - could belt into her side. There was no way she wanted to end up with any broken bones today. Despite having the capability to heal much more quickly than any regular human, the process of healing her bones
was much more painful then having them broken. She recalled there was a time where she had been utterly numb to this horrible feeling, so used to it on a daily basis that it was nothing to her. But, those days were over. "Tch."
watching as the other two, once paralyzed, stood back up, meant she had lost her chance. With a frown, and cautious of all their movements, a sudden voice met her ears, one she had forgotten about. "Catch me you idiot!" looking up, she could see that familiar orange friend plummenting straight towards her. Flailing in absolute worry, she held out her arms and catched the demon - princess style. "You okay?"
with a query, orangey peered up at her in surprise. It seemed he was thinking about what exactly to say, but, before he could fathom a single world, Natsu was already moving again.
Barely evading another fist, the five monkeys were closing in on them, sharp teeth bared - angry that most of their friends had been killed. Natsu tucked Kurama under her arm, deciding to use brute strength this time, rather than the power of her father. Plunging forward with incredible speed, a bickering demon just by her side, her foot slammed directly into the face of one of the apes, the crunching of bones resounded against her attack. She was certain she had broken its nose and jaw, as she watched most of its teeth descend to the ground, covered in blood. While midway in air, she continued to kick and
kick at the creature so rapidly in the face until its eyes rolled back and it fell to the ground lifeless. Two of the vulcans, most likely the children in this situation, were frightened of Natsu as she turned in their direction, bloodlust written against her features. They had never thought their opponent was this strong, even without magic. Glancing at one another, the two turned off and ran as fast as they could into the woods, leaving her with only
two more that had decided to stay. "If you leave this forest and go back from where you came from, I won't hurt you."
she said, as if knowing they could understand her. Natsu knew they had always been a group of very intelligent creatures, able to literally form words by themselves. But, they were still animals, only relying on instinct rather than smarts. Any emotion they had was brief, and fleeting. For they truly never knew the reason behind it. If they were hungry, they ate. If they wanted something, they would get it. If they were angry, they would fight. Natsu wondered why that reminded her so much of those
people back then. The ones who sat their on the throne, smirking away.
