The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia Empty Re: The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia

Post by Zoe Schiffer 28th January 2015, 12:29 pm

Scanning through the contents of the job sheet, the light-blonde haired girl's eyes widened. This was quite unexpected but at the same time, quite exciting. A grin lit up her visage as she clutched the piece of paper in her hand. It was time for another job; however, this one would be slightly different. This mission wasn't in Fiore like all of her previous had been. Not at all. This job was in Ministrel. And that meant that she would have to go outside of the border of Fiore for the very first time.

Sauntering out of the guild hall with a small bag that held some necessary supplies, Zoe made her way to the docks of Hargeon Town to catch a boat and head to Ministrel. Of course, she was not only going there for the sight-seeing though that was somewhat of a contributing factor; but the main reason was different and very serious. Some dark wizards in the town of Lebeque had taken Sir Townsend – quite a prominent figure – and his family as hostages for a demand of one million jewels. This thought made a grim expression appear on the mage’s face. 'Those bastards.'

And this was her mission; to free the Townsend family. But of course, it was somewhat surprising that Ministrel had asked for Fiore’s help when they had the ‘Musketeers’; the equivalent of Rune Knights and Mages in Minstrel. The Musketeers were quite powerful, indeed and if they asked for help then this must be something serious. All thoughts of sight-seeing had left Zoe’s mind and all that filled it was how to save the Townsend family and teach these Dark Mages a lesson; they just couldn’t go around tormenting people as they wished. Zoe was a Sabertooth mage for a reason and she would do anything in her power to help.

After a while of constant travelling, Zoe had finally made it to the docks. 'Finally, I’m here. Now to get the ship to Ministrel.' The girl scanned her surroundings to spot the ship heading to Ministrel so that she could, successfully, board it before it left. However, no sign of the ship was indicated anywhere and that made her scrunch her eyebrows in confusion. 'Ugh, where is that stupid ship?'

This was going to take some time.

The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia Empty Re: The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia

Post by Emilia Crohil 15th March 2015, 1:20 pm

Emilia had been waiting in Hargeon town for a while now. Having completed a relatively quick job here, she decided to check the local job board to see if there was anything to do. Yeah it was technically for the guildless, but there was nothing saying that specifically, therefore, they could technically be taken up by anyone, regardless of their guild or lack thereof. She had noticed one with a particularly high reward. Something about some stupid noble being held hostage or whatever by dark mages. The kicker was that it was in Minstrel. Not that it mattered really. The reward more than covered the travel costs. It should be easy, since she was going to be working with more mages. Though it would probably be best to get them to make a frontal assault while she broke in from another area to search for the hostages and get out.

She looked around the port and saw a girl with a Sabertooth tattoo on her arm. Well then, perhaps she had taken up the job in the Sabertooth guild hall? It would make sense. With a situation this dire, they no doubt would have had fliers posted wherever they could. She decided to approach the girl, since it would be awkward for them both to arrive there not knowing of each other earlier. They would likely have to work together, so it would be best to prepare and learn each others' strengths and weaknesses as soon as possible. She waved to the girl and shouted to attract her attention. "Oi! You! The one in Sabertooth. You're off on that Townsend job, aren't you?" She walked over to her, clanking a bit in her plate armor. She would no doubt look out of place, wearing a full suit of plate and carrying a shield on her back, as well as a spear and mace. Zoe may or may not recognize her, though the girl would surely know little to nothing about her, other than that she rarely socialized with her guild mates.

The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia Empty Re: The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia

Post by Zoe Schiffer 16th March 2015, 10:54 am

Hearing a voice addressing the one that belonged to Sabertooth, the female’s blue orbs detected the sight of a female approaching her; the female’s appearance being quiet unusual with the plates that hung from her chest and her warrior like stance; it made the light-blonde haired girl wonder who exactly this female was. However, for some reason, the female did seem unusually familiar as if the blonde girl had seen her somewhere before. Perhaps not interacted but definitely seen. And that is when the imaginary light bulb went off in her head; this girl was a mage from Sabertooth and the female had seen her there.

‘Aye.’ Replied the one known as Zoe in response to the girl – whose name was presumed to be Emilia if she remembered correctly. Quiet a coincidence that the both of them met each other in the docks of Hargeon Town, in pursuit of the same mission. Or at least, that was what it seemed. ‘You’re heading out to Ministrel to rescure Mr. Townsend as well, if I’m not mistaken?’ The girl asked, a bright smile lining her visage aimed at the other female. ‘Well, you guessed right. I’m going for the same thing as well. My name is Zoe and I’m from Sabertooth as well. Pleasure to meet you~’

As the introductions would proceed along, the light-blonde haired mage would skim her eyes long the docks of Hargeon, presumably searching for the one ship that would take them to their mission destination; Ministrel. After all, the mages of Fiore and more specifically, of Sabertooth had to prove themselves now. As Emilia would finish her response to the questions laid out by the blonde haired female, a whistle-like sound echoed in the distance causing Zoe’s blue orbs to travel to the direction of an oncoming ship that was slowly proceeding to adjust itself in the docks as people scurried out of it; some in an orderly manner whereas, some in a wild one. And the bright grin that lined Zoe’s visage was enough to inform the duo that they had successfully, found their ride to their mission. ‘The ship’s finally here. Come on, let’s hurry up and get on!’ Grabbing a hold of the other female’s hand, Zoe proceeded to climb up the stairs laid out in front of the ship as the two girls made their way onto it from where, the ship finally, set sail towards the horizon of Ministrel.

Post by Emilia Crohil 16th March 2015, 5:56 pm

"That's right. Nice to meet you, Zoe. The name's Emilia. I guess that means we'll be working together." She grinned. "Seems like it'll be a good fight, too." The red-headed warrior would look for a ship as well through out their conversation. This girl seemed the friendly type, not too timid. But would that translate to skill in battle? The girl was small, but size hardly meant everything. Emilia knew that from experience. She found herself trying to figure out how the girl would fight, but then the ship arrived and Zoe grabbed her hand, pulling her aboard. Emilia was somewhat annoyed at it, but didn't make a fuss. It's not like their rushing on would make the ship leave faster.

She was fine, really, until she happened to look down over the edge of the stairs and into the ocean... Oh... shit. She thought to herself. Why the hell had she chosen to take a ship of all things to Minstrel? Sure it would have taken a bit longer, or a lot longer, to travel by land. Why the hell did she even take this job anyway? She froze for a moment, but Zoe kept pulling her along and the crowd behind them was building up. She swallowed and continued on up the stairs, her face now pale. Once they were on deck, she spoke softly to Zoe. "I eh... I think I'll um... go um... below deck. Yeah... that. Below deck. Get... um... get some rest before we arrive." She said before quickly rushing off, not giving Zoe the time to respond. Once below deck, she would find a nice, secluded corner and flop herself down in it, bringing her knees up to her chest. Should Zoe go looking for her, she would find the poor woman quaking in fear at the thought of being on the water.

The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia Empty Re: The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia

Post by Zoe Schiffer 17th March 2015, 4:33 am

As the light-blonde haired female’s blue orbs marveled at the infrastructure of the ship ranging from its strong, wooden floors to the flag of Ministrel that hung from the ship, the excitement only grew inside of her; however, at the same time, so did worry and tension for the thought of what was to await them when they reached Lebeque. This worry was only increased more when Zoe felt Emilia let go of her hand and speak in a soft tone; something the blonde had yet to see. Guessing from the red-head’s body language, something was off. ‘Emilia, are you okay?’ However, before she could hear the question, the said female had already rushed away leaving the other Sabertooth mage to wonder what exactly had happened. ‘I wonder, what’s wrong with her? I should go check on her to make sure she’s okay.’

With that being said, the light-blonde proceeded to rush after her partner on this particular mission and stopped only when she finally – after searching for quite some time – found Emilia hunched down on the floor in one corner of the lower deck, clutching her knees to her chest. This was indeed, quite surprising. The first impression that Zoe got of the red-head was the fact that she was head-strong and tough but it appeared as though, now it was one of those moments for Emilia when she couldn’t behave like this. But why was she like this? And, then it clicked. Why do people act like this when they’re aboard a ship? Because, their afraid of water! ‘Oh, shit.’ Zoe internally slapped herself as a curse echoed through her mind. She should have known better and should’ve asked Emilia beforehand.

Making her way to the Sabertooth mage, Zoe knelt down in front of her with an expression of guilt outlining her face. ‘I’m so sorry, Emilia. If I had known you were scared of water, I would’ve never dragged you. I’m so sorry!’ And it was at that moment where some form of a signal echoed across the ship, indicating that luckily, there was only half-an-hour left until they would land in Lebeque, Ministrel.

    ‘Thank goodness.’

Post by Emilia Crohil 17th March 2015, 12:59 pm

Emilia didn't give much of a reaction to Zoe when the mage knelt down in front of her. She rocked a bit and continued staring forward with a thousand yard stare. It was when Zoe spoke that she snapped out of it a bit. What was she saying? Sorry for dragging her aboard. Emilia shook her head. "D-don't worry. Only way to get to Minstrel, r-right?" Was her response. It was true. To go by land would likely take weeks, perhaps even months, given that it would involve going through iceberg what with Bosco's closed borders and all. A little bit of panic would be worth the payout. Ships were usually safe, right? She could get through this.

She looked up as she heard the half-hour signal resound through the ship. Good, almost done. Almost off. Once off, she would be able to bash in some faces to relieve stress. She could do this. "Just uhh.... just come get me when we're there." She closed her eyes, trying to imagine herself somewhere not on the water. She would simply remain there quietly until they arrived, then rush off the boat as quickly as possible.

As soon as they were on dry land, Emilia calmed down and returned to her normal behavior. "Alright then, let's get to business. First thing's first. If you tell anyone about that I'll beat you to a pulp. Second thing, how do you prefer to fight and what's your magic?" She asked before looking down at the bounty sheet for directions on where to go.

The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia Empty Re: The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia

Post by Zoe Schiffer 18th March 2015, 12:35 am

A sigh escaped Zoe’s lips as she glanced at the dear-stricken red head who claimed that she was okay and that this was the only way to get to Ministrel. Logically speaking, it was perhaps the easiest method to. Well, at least they would be reaching there soon enough; only half-an-hour more and they could get off. At Emilia’s command, Zoe left the room but stayed close to keep an eye on her partner for this mission and when they finally reached the shore of Ministrel, a giggle escaped the female’s lips at the prospect of Emilia beating her to a pulp; she should have been a little irked if someone were to say that however, with Emilia, she wasn’t. And the blonde had a very positive feeling that the two of them would turn out to become quite good friends. In response to the question thrown her way by the red-head, Zoe replied, ‘Well, it honestly depends on the situation I’m in though, I do prefer going all out with a slight tint of logical reasoning as well so I don’t get myself in too much trouble. And my magic is wind magic; leaning more towards the offensive type. What about you? What’s your fighting style and magic?’ After all, if they knew how the other fought, they would perhaps be able to help in each other out in time of need.

As Emilia would reply to the question put forward by Zoe, a cough would bring their attention sideways at three females who stood a few feet away; one blonde, one red-head and one brunette and they were absolutely gorgeous from what Zoe’s eyes could perceive. ‘Are you the ones from Fiore who have accepted the job request we sent out?’ The brunette questioned to which all Zoe replied was with a nod. ‘Well, I’m Portha and my companions here, are Atha and Atma.’ She said pointing to the blonde and then the red-head, respectively. ‘We’re here to accompany you to Mr. Townsend’s mansion as well as help you fight those dark wizards.’ The red-head, Atma spoke, ‘We are the musketeers of Ministrel.’

‘Ohhhhhh.’ Zoe replied in response to their statements. Well, some help would be greatly appreciated as we don’t really know our way around. My name is Zoe and this is Emilia and both of us are from Sabertooth. Pleasure to meet you both.’ The blonde smiled at the three girls who only replied with nods at the two females. ‘Well, no time for chit-chat. Let’s get going!’ Atha spoke, enthusiastic at perhaps kicking the dark wizard’s ass as they all started moving ahead. Whispering to Emilia, Zoe decided to question her thoughts on these three musketeers. ‘So, what do you think of them?’

Post by Emilia Crohil 18th March 2015, 10:37 am

Zoe's strategy was fairly simple it seemed, which somewhat annoyed Emi. She was actually fairly tactically-minded when it came to fighting. Sure, most of what she did was charge into her enemies, but that was because she used to have Eli to back her up with ranged spells. They had it down to a strategy of her keeping them occupied while Eli used his ability to cast large numbers of spells in quick succession to take them out before Emilia came to any serious harm. "Force magic," She answered "Let's me hit harder and throw enemies around as well as shrug off most physical attacks. I tend to try to find some ranged backup to deal most of the damage while I keep them occupied."

Emilia gave the musketeers a nod and followed along behind them. Zoe asked her what she thought of them and she shrugged and grunted. "Who knows, but I tend to prefer working in duos or trios. This group is a bit too big for my liking." She said quietly. She then spoke up to the musketeers. "So, you got a strategy for rescuing the hostages? If we split up we could probably find them in the mansion faster. Perhaps you three go in the main entrance and Zoe and I sneak in through a window or back door? I'm sure we can handle whatever they throw at us, especially with you three distracting them with a frontal assault."

Listening to Emilia’s opinion about them, Zoe gave the woman a nod in understanding and was quite impressed at the strategy she had put forward to the four females with her, to not only make herself more comfortable with being only in Zoe’s company but also have a plan of attack which could very well work. “I like the idea quite a lot.” The light-blonde haired female responded to Emilia’s suggestion and then switched her gaze to the three musketeers who seemed to be debating internally, whether this was a good idea or not. Finally, after a half a minute of contemplating, Portha gave a sigh. “Alright. We’ll follow your plan since it seems like it will work. Me, Atma and Atha will do a frontal assault and distract them whereas you both go find Mr. Townsend. And if you encounter any trouble on the way, well that’s your problem.”

As they were engaged in a conversation about their course of action, the five girls had arrived at the scene; the Townsend mansion and now, stood outside, not being that visible however, so that the dark mages do not spot them. “We’ll be off for the opening attack then. Good luck both of you.” Atha spoke and waved at the two Sabertooth mages as the trio left and headed to the main entrance.

Turning to Emilia after their departure, Zoe said, “Well, we should get going too. Let’s try to wrap this up quick.” With that, she started walking towards the back of the mansion, hoping Emilia was following her. As they reached the behind of the mansion and Zoe was going to open one of the windows, a loud bang echoed through the mansion seemingly coming from the entrance of the house. “Looks like those three have already started their little party. Come on, let’s hurry.” Zoe climbed inside the house through the window that she had opened and landed in the house, waiting for Emilia to come.

Post by Emilia Crohil 20th March 2015, 11:40 am

Emilia gave a nod to the musketeers as they left to begin their frontal assault. "Aye, let's go." She followed Zoe around back where the woman opened a window and climbed through. As she was opening the window, Emilia heard the same bang resonate through the house and grinned. Looks like the Musketeers had gotten to work. They should provide a nice distraction while the duo looked for the noble. Still, not all of the dark mages would be sent to defend the front entrance, so they best be on their guard. Emilia climbed through the window with surprising nimbleness for one wearing a full suit of steel plate. The floor creaked a bit as she landed, giving a small hint to her unusual weight, though it didn't give away their position. She pulled her shield off her back and drew her fierce-looking mace. The only unfortunate part of this plan would be that Emilia wouldn't want to use her louder spells for fear of being discovered. Though should someone make too much noise that they would be detected, she would stop holding back. She looked around, they appeared to be in a sitting room of sorts, though it was empty, thankfully. Still, they had two options of where to go now, "Right then, left or right? You choose and I'll take point." She said. "If we see anyone, we take 'em down as quickly and quietly as we can until someone shouts or we're otherwise detected, after that." She grinned. "Well after that is when the fun begins." She winked at Zoe and tapped Trauma against her shield lightly. When Zoe gave her an answer, she would proceed in whatever direction Zoe chose, and, should they see an enemy in the next room, she would take a swing using Projection, launching a projectile from the tip of her mace aimed at the nearest opponent's head. It would likely hit in these close quarters, especially if the guard was caught unaware. Most importantly, it would be nearly silent, even as the projectile collided with the person's head, striking with the same force Emilia's full swing would have hit with had she actually struck the guard normally, and would likely knock him out. If it didn't, well he would either have to be one tough SOB and would still be pretty badly hurt, or it would kill him by crushing his skull a bit too much. Though if there were any other enemies in the room, they would be fine, at least until Zoe got to them.

After a moment of deep thinking, debating in her mind on which direction to take that would ultimately decide who they would be encountering, the light-blonde haired mage pointed in the left direction with her index finger, indicating to her partner what course they should be taking according to her. “Left.” She portrayed her actions in the form of words as she closely followed Emilia to where the red-head was heading. Almost in no time had the duo encountered some dark mages that were spread out across the mansion, covering every nook and cranny. However, before Zoe could even get a chance to curse, her fellow Sabertooth guild mate had already taken care of the enemy in the way that she had indicated; quickly and quietly. And this greatly impressed the wind mage as she smirked at Emilia, giving her a thumbs up as a sign of success.

However, their victory was short-lived for as soon as Emilia defeated that one dark mage, two more had appeared. Though, unlike before when the dark mage they dealt with, these two were indeed quite strong and the two Sabertooth mages could sense that. The two grinned at each other and it appeared as though they were communicating with facial expressions only. And in a few seconds, the light-blonde Sabertooth mage guessed what they were interconnecting with each other as one of the dark mage made his way towards Emilia whereas the other towards Zoe. The one that had approached Zoe smirked at her. “A wind mage, eh? It’s going to be easy taking you down, honey.”

Wondering what he may have meant by that, Zoe discovered its meaning soon enough when the dark mage muttered, “Earth-make Cannon!” At that moment, a canon molded out the very essence of the ground itself formed in his hands in a shady dark-brown colour as he aimed the mouth of the canon in Zoe’s direction and instantly, a wave of some form of earth attack more precisely, the matter being classified as mud, emanated from the canon heading straight in the direction of the Sabertooth mage. The speed of the attack was so ferocious yet swift that as soon as Zoe had arose her feet from the ground to avoid the attack, it had hit her; she was unsuccessful in trying to dodge it. The attack sent the female hurling backwards, smashing straight into the red velvety wallpaper coated walls, leaving slight cracks on it from where she had hit it. A groan escaped her lips as she slid down the ground, pain coursing through her body from the sudden impact and the taste of metallic blood coated her tongue and slid down her mouth as she spit it out in one motion; her eyes transforming into slits glaring at the person responsible for landing her in this condition.

That person was laughing manically at the side witnessing the pathetic condition that he had lowered Zoe and that was one thing she could not accept. The Sabertooth mage slowly but surely got up to her feet as she stood straight, her eyes fixated on her opponent; at this moment, she had not even glanced at how her partner was doing as her attention was solely on her opponent. “You’re going down.” The female muttered as she launched herself with a roar at the dark mage whose face had transformed from a grin into slight shade of worry at the determined look that was thrown his way.

Post by Emilia Crohil 22nd March 2015, 12:21 pm

The Earth mage that Zoe charged at was too slow to dodge the girl's blow, despite his best efforts. He took a solid hit, sending him staggering. With one mage occupied, Emilia made her move on the other. With the noise from the Earth Make mage's cannon and Zoe's shout, she knew they had been discovered. She just hoped the Musketeers drew more threat than they did. With a massive bang Emilia used Bullheaded, launching herself at the second mage with a shockwave. She slammed into him with her shield in front of her, sending him flying against the wall. She followed up with another attack before he could respond, swinging Trauma and releasing its head and enough cable that the spiked ball would collide with the man's head. Emilia pulled no punches and struck to kill. These were criminals, and this was a combat situation. They shouldn't waste effort trying to keep them alive and risk their own skins by being merciful. If they lived through the assault, they were lucky, if not, they should have picked a safer line of work. Emilia expected no mercy from them, and showed the same amount in return.

There was a loud crack as the man's skull was split open. He fell to the ground, limp, blood pooling around his head. He was still alive, barely. Without immediate attention he would probably die. That was his problem, though. She turned to Zoe and her opponent, not interfering yet, as she didn't want to get in the way or potentially harm her partner, though she stood ready to take a hit using Force Shift, should the enemy manage to make an attack.

((Emilia will use Force Shift to take the next D-rank spell worth of physical damage that hits Zoe.))

As she charged towards the second earth-make wizard, from the corner of her eye, Zoe faintly noticed Emilia fighting her opponent which so happened to be the second earth-make wizard however, that scene was twice or perhaps, thrice as gory as what the blonde’s scene was going to be. A faint crack of the man’s skull made the girl wince inwardly at the agony that he had to go through that was infused upon him by the red-head; this told her a lot about Emilia’s character and she was definitely not one to be messed with otherwise, Zoe feared for that person.

However, at the moment, she had more pressing issues to concentrate upon; her enemy, for example. By now, he was within close range of her from where upon, she could attack him. Taking off towards the air with a high jump accompanied with her aerial abilities to enhance the jump’s power, the light-blonde haired girl came down with one of her leg held forward in a motion to kick as she bellowed the name of one of her spells.

    “Wind Kick!”

From the height above as she cascaded down, resembling some form of a human meteor, the leg that was held outwards started encompassing with wind which moved in a circular motion, from her heel till her thigh. Swinging it backwards as soon as she neared the earth-make wizard, the blonde let her leg swing directly into the abdomen of the male, earning a grunt of satisfaction from him; the satisfaction, of course, in her interpretation and pain in his. The spell sent the earth-make wizard hurling backwards into one of the caramel-layered walls of the mansion, striking it with such ferocity that the moment he hit it, the mage lost consciousness as the wall earned a giant crack within its surface with him sliding down, blood oozing out of his forehead. Of course, he wasn’t dead but just defeated; unlike Emilia, the light-blonde could unfortunately, never commit any such act.

As she turned to the said woman, Zoe grinned at her, albeit, a little forced due to the fact that the crack of the skull kept echoing in her mind. However, there was no time to celebrate for the duo were not done yet. As soon as Zoe walked a little further and took a turn into a corridor, another hoard of enemies awaited their presence. “Oh, damn.”

Emilia turned and looked to Zoe as she delivered a swift kick to the man's head, knocking him back against the wall and unconscious. Seems she didn't like using weapons. Still, that didn't matter so much. The man was subdued, but he still might get up. No reason to kill him though. Crippling would be all that would be necessary. Emilia strode over to the man, tracking bloody footprints across the room. The cable on Trauma retracted, turning it into a mace once more. She brought it down on the man's shin with a sharp crack, breaking the bone. It wouldn't be permanent, but it would ensure that he was unable to follow them should he regain consciousness. She winked to Zoe knowingly. She was able to tell her actions upset the girl, but didn't particularly care. It was fun to play with her. Though they had a job to do. Zoe moved ahead and Emilia followed, ready for battle. Zoe had stopped as four mages now stood in front of them.

Emilia grinned at the four. "Hello boys!" One of the summoning mages began to make gestures to summon some creature, but with another bang, Emilia had dashed forward and slammed into him, knocking him down. She bounced off and, while she was still in the air, a shockwave emanated from her as she cast Force Pulse. This sent all of the mages around her sprawling as they were hit with between one and two tons of force. The two wind-make mages slammed into a wall and blacked out while the summoning mages were knocked down, but not out. The one she rammed into was sent flying about ten feet in front of Emilia by the blow. She flipped in midair and landed before starting to run toward the mage that she had launched.

The fact that Emilia had so casually beaten the shit out of someone to go as far as to be that grotesque was still stuck in Zoe’s mind as she thought about it; the female was a little disturbed to say the least. She had not witnessed anything as such before and despite what, she believed that those dark mages shouldn’t have been killed – or at least, the one that did get killed shouldn’t have. Moreover, she also injured the one Zoe had defeated. Her ways were severe in the blonde’s eyes. Perhaps, she could try to talk to her red-head partner and change her ways; clearly, such brutality was not something looked up upon, especially if one was a legal mage. And this made her grimace at the wink that Emilia threw her way before Zoe had left into the hallways.

However, her thoughts took a complete turn as both of the females came face-to-face with four wizards, all of whom radiated a dark magic presence and were, clearly dark mages. Bracing herself for another all-out fight, the blonde haired woman was a little surprised when Emilia took the lead and in a very short time, managed to knock down two of the wizards – none of whom had a chance to attack as of yet. The red-head indeed knew what the word ‘swift’ meant for that was what could describe her as Zoe’s blue orbs followed her partner’s movements who then proceeded to knock the other two remaining wizards. However, it appeared as though the other two were not completely out of the picture and the blonde-haired wind mage decided to handle those two. Taking off into the air towards the direction of the two summoning wizards as they proceeded to get up, the female decided to attack both of them by using a spell which was indeed, likely to hit both of the summoning wizards.

    “Tempestuous Wind!”

As soon as Zoe stopped fly mid-air and screamed the spell’s name, a small tornado generated in front of her and right above the direction of the wizard’s as it came tumbling upon them and sucking the wizards into the exact middle. From there, it spun both of the wizards around with extreme ferocity, marking scratches and cuts and wounds in different places as the small blades present within the tornado attacked the wizards.

Emilia was just able to sidestep the tornado as Zoe threw it, catching the summoners within it and starting to cut them. They were taking damage, clearly, but it didn't seem like it would be quite enough to take them down completely. She wasn't sure if she would be sucked into the tornado if she got too close though. She decided it was time to switch weapons, since Valkyrie could give her the range she needed to take them out from a distance. She doubted the tornado would affect the weapon's trajectory much due to its weight combined with its streamlined nature. She put Trauma in its place on her belt and slung her shield across her back before drawing the spear, extending the handle a bit, she took aim and fired its tip out at one of the mages. The wind through the aim off a bit, but she was aiming for his center of mass, so it still managed to hit him, burying itself near his right shoulder. A bad wound, certainly enough to take him out of the picture with a little more damage. A new spear tip formed after she fired.

She made a slashing motion with the spear now, casting projection to launch another force projectile at the second mage. The projectile slashed him across the legs as though Emilia had done it directly. They both screamed in pain at their wounds. Emilia nodded toward Zoe. "You wanna finish 'em off? Or will that tornado do it for us?" She asked non-nonchalantly.

What Emilia had attempted to do was one thing that surprised Zoe quite a bit; none had ever attempted to do so before. Of course, she had attempted an attack with someone else by combining both of their abilities but that was planned and she had already informed the other person of how her attack would be working. The fact that the red-head had absolutely no idea as to how the tornado functioned – at what speed, with what ferocity – and still managed to land an accurate strike on their opponents at quite vital areas was very surprising, indeed. Emilia was not one to be messed with; if not before, then the light-blonde haired girl had completely and utterly understood that now. But that did in no way, meant that Zoe disliked Emilia; oh no, far from that. The red-head was quite different from others who were present within Sabertooth but that was what made her unique. Of course, Zoe still did not approve of some of her methods but it was Emilia’s style which Zoe could attempt to make her understand some of her errors; however, to what extent that would be beneficial for both of them was a mystery.

Emilia’s question snapped the light-blonde haired wind mage out of her little thought bubble and whilst, she was floating in mid-air with her hands stretched out, keeping the tornado in action. It had weakened a little due to Zoe slightly losing concentration but now that her mind was back on the scene, the tornado returned back to its full power. “The tornado will do it for us. Don’t worry about that.” The female responded to her partner’s query and indeed, it was true for in a few more moments, the two dark mages had gone limp; most likely, due to unconsciousness from the extreme force of the tornado combined with Emilia’s onslaught. Releasing her arms from their parallel stance, the tornado disappeared and the mages fell to the ground on their back, limp and with no movement whatsoever, which was followed with Zoe landing on the ground next to Emilia, on her feet. “So what now? We’ve handled the enemies here so I’m guessing we head off to find where Mr. Townsend is.” Zoe stated, wanting to hear her partner’s opinion on their course of action.

"Good." Emilia said in response to Zoe's answer to her question. Several loud bangs were heard somewhere else in the mansion as the musketeers fought with the other dark mages that were in the area. She smiled. It should be relatively smooth sailing from here. The musketeers were stronger than they were, and had broken in through the front entrance, so needless to say, they were drawing much more attention. Still, they should expect some resistance, especially as they got closer to Townsend.

"Aye, let's keep looking. We'll probably meet more resistance as we get closer. These guys are moderately powerful, so I imagine their leader is going to be somewhat of a challenge. We should try to avoid fighting where we can. Save our energy to make sure we can handle the leader of this and get Townsend out of here." She turned to the tornado blocking their path and would wait until the spell wore off, dropping the unconscious summoners, then step over them to continue down the hall. "I'll take point." She said, lowering her spear in front of her, keeping it ready to fire or stab with. This job was going well. They should be able to find Townsend and get the hell out of here in no time, then leave the rest of the dark mages to the musketeers. She found a staircase and started to ascend, the carpet managing to keep her footfalls quiet, though if a dark mage were to walk nearby, they would probably see a trail of bloody footsteps that would lead to Emi and Zoe's position.

Nodding at what her partner had conveyed, Zoe moved alongside Emilia as it came to her attention about the musketeers who were in battle with other dark mages and by the sound of it, they were doing a pretty good job. That was to be expected; after all, as soon as the blonde had met the tree women, she knew they were quite powerful. Powerful than both of them, at least. However, at the moment, their main priority was Mr. Townsend; that is the reason Emilia and Zoe were here. To free him whilst the three musketeers did what they had to do; be a decoy and give them time and they were doing it quite well, in her opinion. And even for the two Sabertooth mages, things were going quiet smoothly. As of yet, they had defeated their enemies that had dared to attack them. It made a ghost of a smile appear on the blonde female’s lips.

However, that smile did not last long for as they ascended the staircase which would lead them closer to the location of Mr. Townsend, the duo came across two dark mages yet again. Zoe’s eyebrows scrunched as she stared at the two dark mages, sensing a familiar magic essence from them. One that was quite similar to hers; they were wind magic users. Her blue hues caught sight of some red splotches behind them and turning slightly around, Zoe noticed what they were. Footprints; ones coated in blood no doubt, from Emilia’s feet. A sigh escaped her lips but regardless, it wasn’t as though they could do anything about it and Zoe doubted Emilia even cared.

Wanting to finish this off quick, the light-blonde took into the air just as soon as one of the dark mages sent a blast of wind in her direction. How stupid of him to think that his attacks would affect her whose use and mastery of wind was above his. Swiftly, flying away from the position his attack had been aimed towards, Zoe descended down towards the dark mage and raising one of her hands above her head, she hollered, “Fūma Shuriken!” As soon as those words left her lips, a materialistic wind shuriken formed in her hand and with a roar, she flung towards the direction of the dark mage who in a haste, tried to make a wind wall in front of him. However, since the wall was only protecting the frontal area, Zoe commanded the shuriken to aim for the backwards and it swung ad struck the dark mage there, making a yell ensue from his lips and falling to the ground, unconscious.

The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia Empty Re: The Fourth Musketeer | Job | Zoe and Emilia

Post by Emilia Crohil 18th April 2015, 9:52 pm

Emilia was about to charge when one of the wind mages fired a spell at Zoe. Though it wasn't needed, she pointed to her ally, causing her to glow a soft blue color as she shielded her against physical attack with Force Shift. She then cast Redirection on herself, allowing herself to absorb the next attack made against Zoe. The wind-make mage she was near tried to create a blast of wind centered around him to keep Zoe away, though it would simply be absorbed by the combination of Force Shift and Redirection, regardless of if Zoe tried to dodge it or not. Emi felt another wind blast from behind her, though she absorbed its force easily. She turned to see two more wind-make mages and grinned. It seemed that they had followed the bloody footsteps.

She charged at them, holding her spear in both hands. They tried to stop her with another wind blast, and, though she was buffeted by it, it was unable to stop her advanced. She lunged forward and attacked the first with an upward slash to the chest, following up with a blow to the jaw from the blunt end of the spear, easily toppling the mage. She turned to the other. It was a rather obvious attack, one that would likely be anticipated and countered by ducking, given that the mage had nothing to actually block the shaft of the spear. Unfortunately for him, she anticipated this, and would follow the swing with an upward knee to catch the man in the face, unleashing the force she had stored from earlier attacks. The man was out before he hit the ground, his jaw broken. It would take a while to recover from that blow.
