Hell to Pay (Part 1) [Job/Zack/Kakuma]

'Monster Dice' :

Kakuma watched as her ally's decimated all the new threats, she didn't quite understand why they just came running at them like they did. Kakuma looked at Cassie, "ETA on the BRSTG unit?" Kakuma put her hand on her hip and raised her eyebrow.

"BRSTG unit is already on site." The large AI turned to Elyx, "No thats not it i just was suprised to see you here with Kakuma." The AI cocked her head and boosted upwards, leveling her rifle as she did. "New targets... Eliminating hostiles." The AI pulled the trigger on her X1-V assault rifle and with the percision on a machine could manage put down each enemy she hit with one shot, Not a single shot was lethal. She had about half the group down when she had to drop her magazine and reload, this let one of the mages cast a firebolt at her. Cassie Saw it coming and dropped her rifle and boosted to the side. "Assessing threat level..... Minor to no threat. Well thats good... not sure why you called me Kakuma." Cassie pulled a small device from her waist and pressed a small button on it, a large orange blade sprung from it. "Hey Kakuma im going to get up close and personal mind using my rifle to cover me?" 

Kakuma sighed, "You know I'm not good with your rifle... kinda why i gave it to you and didn't use it myself." Kakuma huffed and walked over to the fallen rifle. "Your hopeless," Kakuma picked up the rifle and pulled the charging lever, leveling the rifle at the first idiot to give her a clear shot, she put a round into his shoulder then his leg. Kakuma emptys the mag as Cassie deals with the ones Kakuma dosen't shoot. Leaving a pile of people and dogs screaming in pain, "Geez... this is getting real old really quickly... they just keep sending stupid amounts of people at us..." Kakuma huffs and pulls the charging lever into a neutral position, dropping the mag right after. "here Cassie you can have this back." Kakuma held out the rifle as Cassie rejoined the group.

"Thanks for the backup... OH and the BRSTG has the first group you guys encountered taken care of, they are now moving further in to secure the rest." Cassie took the rifle as she spoke. "Do you want me to join them?" 

"mmm Are they having any issues?" Kakuma asked, Cassie shook her head, "then no... you can come with us." Kakuma was starting to get annoyed, they boss of all these fools had yet to show themselves.

Zack stood silently unable to really get any motivation anymore. He felt unneeded and he felt quite bored. There had to be more of a challenge in this place somewhere. The boss of this group perhaps? However, based on the strength of the opponents so far he doubted it. He was half tempted to just collapse this cave and end it that way even if it would potentially take out dozens of lives. No, he couldn't kill people so easily. That wasn't his sort of thought. It was...him. The other side of him. The part that had made him immortal. His life was a constant battle now. If he let up then the other side, the one known as the serpent bearer, could take over. Kind of ironic really considering his secondary magic was to allow the 13th to takeover.

Bringing in Cassie had reduced the risk. However, it had removed what little challenge they had. The only way things were going to become challenging now was in vast numbers or if the boss and his top members were a lot tougher than what he had faced so far. The hounds were pathetic. The men were mages at their core and were the traditional type that didn't train their bodies, just their magic. It made for powerful magic, but it turned them into weaklings when it came to physical blows.

"Next time for my community service can you make sure its a job that I couldn't do solo?" he said with a slight grin to his face as they proceeded through the caverns. It was such an odd job in truth. Stop an evil cult. He'd expected what the cult summoned up to be tough but so far it was pathetic. He just wasn't enjoying himself. Then again, it was community service, so maybe that was the point. [color=teal]"Or ya know let me know the difficulty so I can get some kind of limiter or something...not much community service if I don't have to even try now is it?"[/color

Again the voice in his head telling him to end it there and then. Collapse the cave and end them all. It would possibly also end Kakuma and Elyx as well which would remove his obligation to them. However, it was a voice he would fight. He would not be ruled by this power. He would rule it. Though it seemed gradually the spirit was taking over.

Sorry about that, you don't really see much much with other mages. Unless you count Ignite. He would explain before placing his hands behind his back, a smile on his face before watching the scene. The She Phoenix would scratch the back of her head with her eyes closed, a small flush of embarrassment showing on her face. Come on now, stop trying to get me involved with things. She would reply. It was rare for her to not want to be talked about, but here is the example of it right now. Maybe she had shown off a bit much. Not that no one would have minded, she put up a good firework display for sure, but that was about it compared to the whole group. For once, she was almost at the bottom of the chain. Elyx was the one at the very bottom, not that he'd mention it to anyone. It was not like Iza was here to taunt him about it or anything like that, but this was still a memory of him being the lowest of the low.

Still though, it also made him feel a bit secure and knowledgeable. For one thing, Zacks magic was foreign to him, but it looked beyond amazing, and it was sure something beyond his current Lerale power. If he were to take a guess, it could possibly be a rival to the Existence Monarch. The Existence Monarch was the being designed to cause genocide with simply the snap of a finger, stronger than the Existence Cannon, the one who has used Lerale magic to the fullest will be able to obtain this form. Naturally, at the cost of weakening all of their allies, which in this case, were the other Lerales. Elyx didn't want that though, but he did want a form like Zacks. And to do that, he would have to continue observing, as he was pacing along with the group, awaiting his next task.

Awesome! I'll make sure to dump all of these sorts of jobs on you then. The boy would reply to Zacks comment about handling jobs that he could not solo. He was cocky, surely, but he most likely earned the right to be. And he was not being cocky in a rude way, especially not towards them out of all people. And even if he were, it was kind of hard to argue with that. Cassie on the field, Kaku as his Guild Master, Ignite as his beyond dangerous partner, and Zack without physics to hold him down, this was probably the most secure he could ever feel.

Kakuma sighed, she was getting bored as well, it had started kinda fun but was quickly losing interest. Kakuma was half tempted to withdraw and let her troops deal with the cult, but she had been the one to take the job. Kakuma moved up ahead of the group, heading down the last tunnel. She was expecting to find more idiots wanting her dead... and she was not disappointed, but she was surprised by the number.

"wow... thats a lot of people..."

Kakuma could not even count the amount of people that were standing in front of some kind of alter. She saw all kinds of people along with a huge sum of Hellhounds. Kakuma tapped her blade to the side of her leg, they had not noticed her yet. She waited for the others to catch up, she simply sat and observed what they were up to. One man laid down on the alter and had a dagger plunged into his chest. Kakuma snickered as he let out a scream of pain, a hand reached out of his chest and pushed open the wound farther and farther to impossible size. Out climbed what Kakuma figured was the demon they were after, She frowned and decided that she had to interrupt.

"Cassie... put two rounds into that demons chest if you would please."

Kakuma watched as Cassie leveled her rifle and pulled the trigger, sending two bullets right at the demons head. The demons hands flashed up and, to Kakuma amazement caught the bullets. The hoard of people turned and looked at the intruder and the demon spoke.

"Well well you must be the guests..." The demon chuckled. "It would be rude if we didn't attend you would it not?" The demon pointed at Kakuma, "Kill them..."

Kakuma smiled as the cultist made their way up up to her. "Well perhaps with this many idiots perhaps you stand a chance..." Kakuma turned and started walking down the stairs. "Where their is light... their is shadow." Kakuma changed... all the white on her, her clothing and hair turned jet black, as she walked. On thing this place has was a vast amount of shadows Kakuma held out her hand as walked. "Artimisa Proktis Victia" Any and all shadows rushed to her, forming a ball of light above her head. The first few cultists reached her, weapons ready to strike her down. Kakuma smiled and kicked the first man in the chest, as she put her foot down she punched the ground with all her magical might. A shockwave of Holy Shadows radiated outwards from her, throwing the first row of cultists backwards into their allys. Kakuma straightened out and proceeded to continue down the stairs again.

'Monster Dice' :

It seemed Kakuma and he both had something in common for when she changed from white to black he too change, but in the opposite way. Every bit of black on him whether it be his eyes, his hair or his clothing, faded to white and the original white darkened to pitch black. This was the eclipse form. One that he didn't unleash as often because he didn't have as great a control, but against these numbers a kind had was not something he could afford so letting Ophiuchus have at least a modicum more control seemed appropriate somewhat. His sword flicked out suddenly in a two handed sweep above his head sending a huge half mile long beam of linear explosion straight into the crowd. It was 15ft long and as it plowed through the crowd it sent them flying all over the place, but before they had a chance to react to it suddenly five more came at them all a fraction of a second after the others from other angles.

Eclipse Zack slammed his sword into the ground and stood there looking at the destruction he had caused with a strange amount of glee and satisfaction on his face. So many had been blasted away and yet so few of them were dead just broken rather heavily. They'd be dead soon enough. Suddenly Zack and his sword vanished and suddenly he was above a group of hellhounds and men who had not been harmed by his attacks.

He did not make a move. Just stood there and watched their obvious confusion at his dissapearence. Even the hell hounds couldn't work out where he was. Too many scents all countercrossing including other hell hounds. So few people ever bothered to look up. He smirked and then dropped suddenly into the middle sending out a shockwave knocking them down. "So whose up first?" he said beckoning them to attack. One of them stepped forward and then ran at him, but before he even got close Zack just struck out with a kick sending him flying knocking down a whole of others.

The rest seemed shocked at first, but then a large group of them charged at him but rather than hitting him they were stabbing into eachother instead. Those who survived looked about to see Zack emerging him from a wall over back near Kakuma. He gave them a little wave with a smug grin on his face. Ophiuchus' influence really did make Zack such a show off. "So you want the big one Kakuma or want me to handle it?" he asked with a wink and a slightly obnoxious tone to his voice.

Magic:

As for Elyx and Ignite, they would have to work on the smaller of the enemies. It was not that big of a deal, there were many of the hound dogs surrounding them, and they did not seem like they wanted to be friends with the She Phoenix. However, she not at all worried as Elyx would look to her, knowing full well what she was planning to do, a humiliating trick for the dogs. Care to put an end to their nonsense? This kind of gets old after a while. The Violinist explained as he placed the instrument down to his sides of his body, using wind would be a waste for this situation. The beasts snarled as they pressed their bodies to the ground, ready to pounce and have them for lunch. Ignite rolled her right wrist around, the light purple in her eyes beginning to glow as she activated her ability, concentrating all around him and her. Her pointer finger and her thumb clicked in a snap as her eyes closed and a smile revealed itself, all of the flames of the hounds had been forced to shut down. The Queen of the flames was slowly unlocking within every step. The further this goes, the further she will be able to advance until eventually, the power of the Immortal Phoenix runs within her veins. And once that is the case, they don't ever have to be idle in a job like this again. In the meantime, the hounds being shut down and forced to run away was a nice touch onto the job. They won't be interfering with the job anytime soon. Now it was time to watch the rest of the show, their role of taking down the weak enemies was done. Now the other two can take care of the final boss, since he probably would not be able to make a dent, not with only Lerale magic.

In the meantime, Ignite could probably make some sort of fondue with the chocolate in his knapsack. Or maybe not, since it was hot enough as it is. Tea possibly? No, where would they get tea. Such a shame, they do not even have chairs. The both of them would places their hands by their sides and watch the show, maybe a sudden reaction command would pop up and they could press Triangle quickly enough to do something cool.

Kakuma looked at Zack as he spoke, her eyes even more intimidating against a backdrop of black compaired to her usual white. Before she could speak another foolish cultist charged at her, she blocked his sword without so much as looking at him then reached out with her free hand and grabbed the front of his robes. She lifted him from the ground and spoke.

"My spells are more designed for crowd control and support... I'm better against crowds."

As Kakuma spoke another orb of shadow appeared around her head, as if to show that she had a spell ongoing. If anyone was paying attention the shadows were being pulled towards her, crawling up her legs and running up her face like water that decided to ignore gravity. Kakuma looked at the man clawing at her hand, trying to free himself, she simply smiled and tossed him at his allys. He bounced down the stairs and bowled into his allys followed quickly by Kakuma, whom had changed her form into that of a giant black wolf with red markings. She slammed into the first people she ran into, knocking them from the stairs and chomped on one and tossed him aside. The cultist were clearly afraid now, who was this creature whom held so much fury? As the cultists in front tried to turn tail, as the cultist behind them tried to push forward, Kakuma jumped back up the stairs a bit.

"And picking on them is mildy fun to be honest they scurry about as if a wolf were on the prowl... and they were chickens."

Kakuma made a really bad joke, which she chuckled to in a very wolfish way. Kakuma didn't let them recover, simply charging into the group of humans, Bowling over, trampling and other wise incapacitating the cultists. She didn't kill any of them but that didn't stop her from maiming them and knocking them out. They didn't stand much of a chance but with enough of them and a minor amount of coordination and they could easily turn the tides. Kakuma was not afraid of that at all she had start a spell that was very good with crowd control and had no intention of letting it go off until it was at full power. The crouds of enemys would melt in-front of her, not without challanged, but they did stand very little chance against her. Kakuma would just have to trust the other two to protect her back and thats all she needed to keep going.

"Then the pleasure's all mine." Ophichus said via Zack's mouth before dropping through the ground again. He came up in a powerful spin slash right in front of the main demon. The sheer speed of his spin threw many men and hellhounds back and cleared out a nice area. Without even hesitating the man launched a powerful uppercut toward's the demon's jaw, but much to his surprise and delight the demon caught it and threw him into the ceiling. He went straight through it via magic and ended up outside the cave complex. "That's some impressive power." he said with a smirk before dropping down through the ceiling at high speed and axe kicking the demon right in the head. Or at least that was his intention, but he found himself caught once more. This time it held him in front of its face and began to exhale a green mist. It encircled Zack and seeped onto his flesh before he was tossed away again. This time as he hit the wall he didn't go through it. The glow that indicated the power of Virgo, chunsui chikyu, had gone and the colouring of Ophiuchus was gone. It seemed that the poison had been a magic remover. Even his clothes felt off as if the magic enchantments were gone.

"Impressive." Zack said with admiration. Removal of chunsui chikyu wasn't that impressive. However, dispelling Ophiuchus and the clothing of Corvus was in truth very impressive. The former especially so as right now Zack couldn't even heard the voice of Ophiuchus at all. That poison would be an incredible annoyance. He pulled himself out of the crater in the wall and took a step forward and stumbled. It seemed the poison had more than just a magic removal effect. It had some sort of debilitating effect as well. Annoying, but clever. The demon had obviously worked out that removing just his magical buffs wasn't enough to stop Zack in his tracks.

He went to rise off the ground and charge forward without using his legs, but even his defiance of gravity seemed to be gone. This was going to prove tricky. He'd have to deal with her at range then. He swept his sword down in a two handed arc launching off a powerful line of linear explosions. It had a 25ft diameter and a half mile range. It blasted through the men, hell hounds and anything else sending them flying and doing mass damage. The demonic creature tried to hold up its hand to block the attack, but even its power wasn't enough. After all, it was a demon and this was the power of light. Starlight rather than holy light, but light nevertheless. Zack took a step forward his sword transforming into a spear to use as a walking stick so as to prevent further stumbles. "Demon. Go back from whence you came before I'm forced to destroy you permanently."

The demon let out a shrill laugh as the smoke of the explosion faded. [color=green]"You think this was enough to defeat me child of Shangdi?"id and Zack's eyes immediately turned into a surprised stare. How did it know of the sky emperor. [color=green]"It was impressive that the child of such a fool could do even this much, but you have not faced my full strength yet."

"And you think you've faced mine? I don't go all out unless the situation demands it and right now...a cave doesn't seem an ideal battleground for either of us."

Magic:

The most that they were able to do was just play some background music for the scene, since it was all being taken out faster than they were able to go along with. Since he had an Electric Violin, he would slice the bow with much furiousity to create some emphasis on the notes. The wind around them would spin around the both of them before Ignite would add her fire onto the scene, all of the surrounding enemies would have to face off against a fire tornado, once he stopped playing, he would slice the bow onto the instrument one more time, the tornado of flames spreading out with much power as all of the enemies would be pushed away, but not severely damaged since they were also able to use fire. So what else do we do? I mean, this does not even provide so much as a reward for us. The She Phoenix would ask before forming a chair of flames using her flame crafting skills, and so she would sit on it before crossing her right lef over her her left. Elyx would match her purple eyes to continue watching the battles going on, wind and fire at their strength was not enough to handle this. Maybe they needed to choose the jobs that did not require any other mages. For such events like this would happen. Going on their own required them to work, he doubt there would be much credit for this job with the amount they are doing. But this was as much as they could, they gave up on trying. Still though, Ignite did choose the job, it's not like she had any right to complain either. Crossing his arms, he would then reply to her comments. You were the one who chose the job, I do not even see why you are complaining. This is a demon we are facing off against though so... I guess we should at least try. The Lerale mage would say before placing his Violin back against his jaw and shoulder. Ignite would not even move, her reply not even acknowledging his first statement. We tried that already, remember? And how well did that go the last time we did again? She would reply. And he'll be honest, she was right. Guess they just were not quick enough. Well, at least the job was easy for them.
