Ardere would leap out of a tree, and drop down about three meters, making a smooth landing in front of the entrance to the Ancient Ruins. It was not his first time here, however this time would be much different than the last. Ironically enough, he had been sent after a team of Rune Knights had failed in the ruins. Something out here was killing people, and strangely enough no one was waiting outside for him at all. Adjusting the strap on his back that carried his sword Clarent, he looked up to the sky to make sure his phoenix was fine. Celica was doing some recon, scouting throughout the area just in case, but in these massive ruins there was only so much she could do for her owner. Taking a deep breath, he tapped his foot as he looked back to make sure his partner had caught up. She was a strong mage from what he had heard, but the two were not extremely well acquainted yet. He hoped to get to know several of the mages in Sabertooth by going on jobs with them, perhaps it would help in the future. But standing in front of the Ancient Ruins knowing something hellish was inside, sort of gave him an ominous feeling. Not much time to think about his guild currently, he had to focus on the mission. He wasn't exactly sure what had been released when the door was found, there was not much of a report for this mission. Hmm. Scanning the area, he saw nothing, literally nothing. The ruins were usually silent, but not like this. There were small trickles of blood in some places, and it looked fresh. Bending over, he looked down at it, noticing it was scattered like some form of slashing. Strange. Perhaps his partner would be able to tell, but he was sure they would see even worse in the ruins.

- Job Name: Outbreak (Infection Series 1 of 5)
Job Requirements: 2 C-rank or one B-rank minimum, Minimum post count of 30. Minimum Word count of 300
Job Location: Ancient Ruins
Job Description: A strange door was found in the ancient ruins last week, upon its open all contact was lost with the excavation crew. At first, it was thought to just be a issue with the communication lacrima, after a extra twenty-four hours of silence the foreman of the crew grew worried and sent a security team. They reached the main camp and then came under attack by the excavation crew… then silence again. The remaining workers decided to seal the ruins and call for Rune Knight intervention. A Rune Knight Assault team arrived, using weapons and gear that made it clear they were aware of what they were dealing with, and entered the ruins. They never returned, so now the remaining survivors have called upon the guilds for help.
You arrive three day later to find nobody waiting for you, just blood and destruction but as far as you can tell no one has left the ruins area. Many discarded weapons are found on the ground and there are signs of a fight. But there are no bodies, with the amount of blood on the ground and walls when there should be quite a few. Whats going on? Enter the Ruins and find out what's going on.
Infected person x4: They seem to have lost all sense of themselves and just wander about until a food source makes itself known… and their food source is you. They will try to bite you and swing at you, with each attack dealing B-rank damage. Thankfully they are quite slow and not hard to avoid. For some reason, they seem to be rotting as if they were dead. each person takes 2 B rank hits to take down.
Infected Dog x2: These Dogs are scary fast, hard to hit, and they will try to kill you. They deal B-rank damage and will try and pin you to the ground. Try not to let them get too close. If you fail to kill the dogs in three post they will howl and another 2 will come running. Each Dog can take 1 B-rank of damage but they are hard to hit.
Hunter: Huge scaled creatures - you're not even sure what they are honestly. They have scales that reduce damage by half and long sharp claws that deal A-rank damage. They are incredibly fast and clearly very smart, smart enough to ambush you. Note: This enemy will run from you and get an ally if it fails to kill you in three post rotations. If it escapes, it will return in one post rotation with two buddies for a total of three hunters. Each hunter can take 5 B ranks of damage
Tyrant: Only one exists but running into it will ruin your day. This thing stands over ten feet tall and its very steps crack the ground. On its right arm are four three-foot long claws capable of cutting stone and steel. It can run over sixty mile per hour so running is not really option; and if it charges, you only have a brief time to get out of the way. The Tyrant can take 10! B-rank hits before falling to its knees you then have to deal another 10! B ranks to it heart to kill it. it will stand back up after one post rotation causing is base HP to reset but not its heart HP.
Job grants B-rank EXP and access to the second job in the Panic! “Infection Series 2 of 5.”
