from the ice inside your soul.

Her deep violet gaze swiftly glided across the crumbled paper which held text stating need of help. Her mind processed the contents spread across that sheet. The neat curvy handwriting stated the loss of a ring; a wedding ring, to be more precise. Mrs. Cartigan-- the client-- had managed to lose her beautiful ring within the long lush grass of her garden, and now, needed help to find it.

In the same sheet, she also stated her idea which was to use one of her grandmothers shrinking spell to help the mage search for that ring. With a sigh, Riley put the paper down, which she held parallel to her face. The idea of shrinking down to only two centimeters was anything but alluring; rather, to her the idea was repulsive. Her height was short enough, making majority of the people she encountered tower over her, that thought of getting even shorter made her want to shudder.

Thinking again, if getting down to the size of an insect would help someone, then maybe she could do it. A frustrated sigh escaped her lips. She herself did not know why she did things against her own will, just for the sake of helping others, "Let's go, Theo. We're going on a job." With that she, and the little white mut, headed out to get to work.

Thirty agonizing minutes ticked by as the female was on the verge of puking. Maybe having morning breakfast wasn't such a good idea. The wheeled vehicle came to a halt as she stumbled down between the crowd of rushing people, all going about their business, failing to notice the sick little dragon slayer, who had so brutally been slapped across the face by an unlikable thing known as motion sickness.

Her long black hair was tied into a ponytail as she bent down, hands placed on her knees, try to calm the churning in her stomach. Her black jeans covered her legs as a turquoise button down adorned the upper half of her body. After, finally, assuring herself that she would not vomit, Riley lifted herself only to be greeted by weird looks from people. They didn't even seem concerned, just stared at her like she was a freak. She squirmed under their gaze but her sarcastic self kicked in, "I'm fine, thank you for asking." The sarcasm was evident in her eyes but people just walked away without uttering a word.

"Geez, people these days. They can stare but can't ask if they can do anything." With a huff, she opened the paper again. "Alright then, off to the client's house. The faster this is over, the happier I'll be."

She finally reached her destination after setting out on the journey by foot. Her black combat boots clicked as they came in contact with the gravel surface of the walking path, where along with her, many others trudged down, minding their own business and following daily routines they do in their usual busy days. For the black haired female, this too had become a routine as she gazed on the paper and walked, occasionally shifting her gaze to the happy little arctic wolf the strolled along her with joy.

Alas, her feet halted and her lips move, "This is it." With that she moved forward swiftly. With a knock on the door, she patiently waited for brief moments before the sound of door opening echoed through her ear, snapping her out of the daze she had been in while staring at her shoes.

Her blue gaze lifted, landing over a woman appearing to be in her mid-thirties. Her dirty blonde hair was tied up in a bun as her baby blue knee length dress was hidden behind the white apron; giving her the perfect house wife look. It was then that the ice mage noticed the woman's confused expression. Realizing that the woman was waiting for her to explain her appearance, the young slayer spoke up, "Uh..My name is Riley. I'm from Sabertooth." She shuffled through the pocket of her jeans and took out the folded paper, which she not too long ago held, "I'm here for the job."

Mrs. Cartigan -- the woman -- smiled brightly after registering the young slayer's words in her head. Riley looked down at Theo, who watched the woman carefully. Darting her bluish grey gaze back towards the woman, she listen as the woman parted her lips to let the hum of words escape, "Thank you so much for accepting this job." She opened the door wider, "Please come in." The young slayer didn't need to be told twice. She walked in along with the wolf and was lead into the living room, where she took a seat on the couch, as her client had requested.

The woman then began, "I lost my wedding ring in my garden and I really really need to find it. It's important to me." She looked desperate, making the female give her a smile of reassurance, "Don't worry Mrs. Cartigan, I'll find your ring. Uh..where is your garden?"

Riley could be out somewhere fighting monsters, or having adventures, but no; here she was, gaping at the incredibly lush garden at her client's house. The green grass glistened under the rays emitted from the sun as their height extended till the young slayer's shins. She gaped because she would be shrunk and sent in there. She could already imagine it. the search would be like finding something in a maze. It was then that the woman returned, carrying a jar filled with blue glittery power, "You ready?"

A small movement of her neck which consisted of her lifting it upwards and then letting it slightly fall, or rather acknowledged as a nod-- was more than enough for the older woman to burst with the bubble of happiness, while the younger female dreaded the possibility of becoming smaller. The Cheshire grin that plastered itself onto the unmoving rosy lips of the older woman gave out her happiness of the assurance she received; she would be getting her ring back-- a ring which she values most.

With a deep breath, the dragon slayer's blue orbs started below as watched the green moist nature rising till her shin as clouding her vision was falling specks of blue glittery substance which made her fall into awe. It looked like snow rained upon her while it glittered blue under the sun. Immediately she felt the world around her slowly growing larger, but rather, it was just her getting smaller.

Within moments, she felt like a prey to her surroundings as they outgrew her immensely. A loud noise behind her caught her attention, making her whip her head, flipping her long black hair in the process. A small shriek escaped her lips as she gazed upon a rather large Theo. "Oh god..."
