    Job Details:

Irina yawned as she walked into the guild hall, as per usual she had disappeared during the night and found herself somewhere. Today she found herself staring at the job board for something to do. After taking a while she tore a piece of paper off the board and headed over to the kitchen instead of heading out of the guild to begin the mission. Digging around she accidentally dropped the piece of paper as she continued to search for something to eat. After digging out all the ingredients for her breakfast which happened to be quite a bit, she piled them onto a plate only for them to vanish near instantly. She then left leaving the job posting laying on the floor in the kitchen as she went up to get cleaned up for the day. After taking a quick shower she came back down donning a rather large sword strapped to her back wrapped in cloth rather than in a sheath as well as Murasame at her side, as well as a white coat which was new for her considering that no one else has seen such a coat, and it was rather expensive looking as well. When she dug into her pocket for the job posting she couldn't find it prompting her to frantically start looking all over the main guild hall, it was actually rather silly to watch which prompted some of the guild members to laugh as she looked around. Eventually she found herself in the kitchen again and found the job notice lying on the floor covered in crumbs and flour as well as footprints. She bent down to pick it up when she slipped on something left on the kitchen floor only to end up faceplanting into the job notice instead causing a rather large poof of flour to billow up from the point of impact.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 6th May 2015, 12:25 pm

Jin had woken up early this morning and had taken the time to fetch some fresh ingredients and place them accordingly in their designated positions. Little did he know, that it was these very ingredients that would end up in Irina’s stomach instead of his intended recipe. After arranging the ingredients he had returned to his room to attend to Kaya’s breakfast which was entertained by a piece of meat. ”Meaty, I bite you!” announced Kaya as she bit into her breakfast which was provided by Jin. He then jumped into the showers and came out after a few minutes, raising the temperature of his body he steam dried himself. By then, Kaya had finished with her breakfast and was now ready to accompany Jin to the kitchen. ”Now then, let’s go make breakfast” said the chef now dressed in white. Kaya followed closely as he walked out of his room, locked it and headed to the kitchen.

Upon arrival to the kitchen, he noticed after some searching that the ingredients he had brought were now gone. This had never happened before and he was a bite baffled as to how to deal with it. ”Go fetch the ingredients again? Or make something simple with what I have lying around?” He thought as he continued searching through the kitchen. He noticed that were some pieces lying around and there was this familiar heat signature left by a certain someone he know who ate a lot. ”Irina?” he thought to himself as Kaya smelled the floor and voiced his suspicion, ”that hungry lady from when we fought the bandits in the desert”. Kaya would probably remember the name afterwards but it was concluded that the incident was Irina’s doing.

There was no way going around it then, he walked to the tavern and ordered some red velvet cake for himself. Guess his mood for cooking was now gone, perhaps he would prepare a simple meal later on. After eating the cake, accompanied by Kaya he reentered the kitchen where he heard a sound and noticed a rising cloud of flour. Jin walked to the source of the cloud and found Irina on the floor, he headed forward and grabbed her by the arm to help her stand up again. ”You could’ve just asked me to prepare something for you. I am the chef ya know” said Jin with a smile depicting his humility. He was a bit unsatisfied with the fact that despite being a chef, he wasn’t able to entertain a guild member who was hungry earlier.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 6th May 2015, 12:43 pm

Irina found herself flour up her nose as Jin, who had apparently found her face first on the floor, helped her up. He was then going on about cooking her earlier meal for her despite the fact that she was probably just as good at cooking as he was. "If you leave your ingredients out then ex..." Irina was cut short as she sneezed the flour and a tiny bit of blood from having her nose crushed out onto the floor. However instead of just leaving a mess the blood ignited for a split second leaving a few black marks on the floor instead. Irina stared at them then passed it off as her imagination as she raised her hand to place it on Jin's shoulder to help her stand back up. "As I was saying, you shouldn't leave your ingredients out in the open. Especially if you are going to go have a shower instead of actually cooking right then and there." She explained herself despite the fact that she almost cleaned out the whole kitchen of everything, even the stuff Jin wasn't going to use. "And besides I'm just as good at cooking as you are." She said as she once again bent down to pick up job notice she had picked up earlier. She had intended taking up the job by herself though it did have a recommendation to bring someone with her. She stared at it for a long moment thinking of who would go on a job with her when she came up with an idea and promptly shoved the dirty four covered job notice in Jin's face. "I am apparently a person short, and the reward is decent, do you think this is enough compensation for your ingredients?" She said with a snakes tongue, it was quite obvious that she was the one benefiting should Jin join instead of Jin being the one gaining compensation.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 6th May 2015, 12:57 pm

Jin didn’t know how to answer that because he was made chef by Kakuma and it was only normal that he left his ingredients in the kitchen. He was partly to blame though since there were quite a few eaters roaming around, it wasn’t okay to leave the ingredients out in the open. Jin took out his handkerchief as Irina sneezed and handed it over to her so she could clean her face and the slight blood that had just appeared. ”Meanie!” intervened Kaya before Jin could think of something to say to Irina. ”Now now Kaya, no need to be rude. Be nice, she’s a friend”, he said to her in a teacher like tone. She made a cute little unsatisfied face and probably disregarded what Jin had just told her. She had that elegant little princess touch to her but she still did obey what Jin told her.

”I thought I would get fresh ingredients early in the morning and then shower later. Guess, I shouldn’t have done that. I didn’t know you could cook too that’s why I offered”. He was stating the truth, that was the reason why he left for a shower and also why he offered to cook for her. The other reason was the fact that it was also his job as a chef and he was a responsible individual. He noticed her looking at a dirty piece of paper but before he could inquire about it, he found the page slammed on his face. It was stepped on, was dusty and smelled of flour; Jin grabbed the paper and kept it at a distance to read. He didn’t notice that the paper left a spot on his nose that resembled a clown’s nose. Kaya startled giggling and the giggles turned to laughter as Jin only ignored her and continued to read the job.

”Well you don’t have to compensate me for the ingredients; they were for eating any ways. However, I would love to help out though, so I’ll come along” he replied with a smile. Kaya still couldn’t stop giggling, so Jin made a slightly angry face and stared at her; that made him look even funnier.

Post by Irina Naginata 7th May 2015, 12:11 pm

Irina took a moment to wipe her nose off, now she looked even more clownish than Jin. She grabbed her hair next and pulled out a dob of sauce. "Ugh I need another shower now." She turned around only to step on the same thing she slipped on earlier, which happened to be a piece of peel which prompted her to fall face forward again into the floor just barely catching herself with her hands. "Someone should really clean this place up." She said as she muttered off for another shower despite the fact that the whole mess was something she made in the first place.

After having yet another shower she returned wearing a similar set of cloths with the same coat and the same rather large blade strapped to her back wrapped in cloth and Murasame by her side once again. She waited for Jin in the middle of the guild hall, some people even half expected her to go on another wild search for something and we watching her with careful eyes. Irina could hear some questions about the large sword strapped to her back, clearly this was the first time she actually used it after getting her hands on it, and it was much to large and complicated to be carried in a sheath. It wasn't exactly a weapon of an assassin however Irina had always been an exception when it came to that term, she usually used unusual methods and weapons, even the cursed sword Murasame wasn't much of an assassins weapon. The weapon on her back happened to be called Nemesis, though its true abilities were clearly unknown at the time, Irina was clearly hoping that this mission would unveil its power. She checked the time, she had wasted so much with the whole kitchen fiasco and the need to take another shower due to the mess it had caused, and it was already getting close to lunch time.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 8th May 2015, 12:07 am

It was true, the place was a lot messier then how Jin had left it in the morning. So when Irina left, he took it upon himself to clean the kitchen. He was the chef and it wasn’t his responsibility to clean up but there were two reasons of doing it. First, he couldn’t say no to anyone and Irina did say someone should clean up the place. Second, it was his work place and he didn’t like it dirty even though he was about to leave for a job. He grabbed a mop, filled a bucket with water and while Irina left to took a shower, Jin cleaned the kitchen. Kaya climbed on top of a shelf to stay away from the moving mop. It didn’t take long for Jin to finish up the cleaning leaving the kitchen squeaky clean. ’There, that should do it” said Jin with a smile to Kaya, placing back the bucket and the mop. ”Let’s go… ooooooo” said Kaya as she jumped and slipped on the floor sliding and almost slamming against Jin’s legs. He picked her up and headed for the guild hall where he assumed Irina would be waiting for him.

He was right since she was, she was quite noticeable with her current attire and the large sword on her back. He didn’t recall the sword from the last time he had met Irina, probably a new weapon. ”Everyone has these weapons, maybe I should get one for me too”, he once had this thought before too. That was when he had seen Elyx’s sword. He arrived next to Irina with Kaya in his arms, ”So, we’re ready?” said Jin as he cleaned the sweat off his forehead. He had been cleaning but he had made sure that his clothes remained clean, though he was sweaty since he had done it quite quickly. Kaya noticed the flashy attire of the assassin and was now busy looking at the large sword on her back. Given her curious side, she would probably ask Irina directly sooner or later.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 9th May 2015, 10:29 am

Irina looked over at Jin with her usual blank expression. "Make sure you packed lunch?" She asked real quickly forgetting that she almost clear out the pantry just a moment ago, it was as if no one could escape the concept of food with her. She didn't even bother waiting for an answer, instead she just started walking out of the guild expecting Jin to follow her, it was her usual awkward way of communicating with people. She did seem quite rude in most of her actions though most were backed by the fact she didn't show any emotion whatsoever.

The walk to the ruins was rather long, not to mention the boat ride from the island to mainland, the weather wasn't looking too good either. I suppose we will have to stay in Fiore when we finish this up, ships don't have a very good time in this kind of weather." She spoke like she was captain obvious to someone who was clearly intelligent, though it wasn't so obvious who she was talking to. The cat clearly wasn't the most intelligent in fact Kaya was like a child and had yet to present any real intelligence to Irina and so Irina was acting as such for the cat. "Jin, what was your cat's name again?" Irina asked not entirely sue being that it was a while since those two came face to face, was it Maya or was it Taya, or was it some other name she couldn't remember, all she remembered was it having a ya at the end. As they continued down the path the rain began with a small drizzle, though it wasn't picking up very much it was certainly going to get worse. "This is a bad omen, I hope you're ready when we get there." Irina mutter as a gust of wind blew her coat around.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 10th May 2015, 6:35 am

”huh..lunch?” said Jin as he noticed he hadn’t packed anything for the journey. Well, he wasn’t one to take things along like food. He preferred to find what he could on the spot and cook, that way the food would be fresh and he could grow as a chef. He was aware that Irina had quite the hunger, so even if he took something along it wouldn’t last long. Regardless, he still asked fetched a small lunch for the journey. ”Lunch.. check” said Jin in a butler like manner, he wasn’t one but that is hard to notice when someone can’t say no to anyone.

”Well our guild does have those gigantic plant like ships. I’m sure they could hold out in a windy weather. However, if things get bad it’ll be better to stay in Fiore. Have you stayed there before? I have never stayed anywhere while on job. I only just went, did the job and returned; it always has been like that”. It was a long journey, so unnecessary details and small talk wouldn’t hurt. Plus there was so much that Jin didn’t know about his friend and he liked people, he wanted to know about them specially mages; to be more specific: the mages of Black Rose. ”I haven’t stayed out before either” said Kaya also joining in on the small talk. ”True, ever since she and I have been together, we haven’t stayed else where. May be we should, right?”, Kaya nodded in reply.

”Eh?” exclaimed Kaya as she was a bit baffled as to what to say to Irina. The distinctive sabertooth features still existed in her chibi form and she didn’t really like being called a cat. ”I’m not a cat!! You.. you… mmhuhele“ before she could start the name calling, Jin placed his hand on her mouth, muffling the last words that were probably meant as an offense. ”Kaya, that’s here name and she’s a saber tooth tiger” replied Jin with a smile. Kaya was no way satisfied with that and now she wasn’t fond of Irina either, in her mind she probably had killed Irina more like a thousand times by now.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 12th May 2015, 11:40 pm

Irina stopped for a moment and checked some of her equipment. "Depends on where we stay, I am not welcome in most places so I just camp outside of town, though I'm sure you two would have a nice time at an Inn." She replied to Jin's first concern as she adjusted a glove, though her not being welcome in most places wasn't exactly true, it was more that Irina did not feel safe where eyes watched and thus preferred to stay outside of their vision. She then continued walking to their destination. "Is a saber tooth tiger not of the feline species?" Irina asked as Kaya was about to get all huffy and puffy about her being called what she technically was while taking a glance over her left shoulder, it was at this point in time that one might notice Irina did everything with her left eye while keeping her right eye covered up with hair. The truth was Irina kept her right eye closed and covered up despite there being no visible damage. Irina either did not like her right eye for some reason or she did not have a right eye to begin with, it was a mystery that would be left unsolved by most.

Irina to most people was a lost soul, one who was always extremely wary of her surroundings, one who had demons that even she did not know about but could clearly be seen by some. Irina's history was a huge mystery, even she doesn't know where she came from only that she was taken in and trained as an assassin at a very young age. Thoughts like these often came to Irina though she never let the bother her. As the group continued down the path the ruins started to come into view though they were still a fare distance away, no one would notice they were coming just yet but eventually. Irina scanned the bushes on either side of them for any signs of an ambush should the Treasure Hunters be smart, though if they hadn't done that they would leave themselves wide open for the group to make an ambush of their own. "I suggest we be quite from here on out." Irina whispered behind her.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 17th May 2015, 6:40 am

”ehhh?!”, Kaya expressed her sadness with a sad expression and these words. Sure, she wasn’t getting along with Irina but she didn’t want to stay away from someone who had come along with them on a job. Jin could only smile at that, Kaya had a sweet heart even though she pretended to be quite a troublesome brat at times. ”What do you mean us two would have a nice time? If you’re going to camp out, we’re staying with you. We’re guild mates, remember?” he replied with a warm aura surrounding him. Jin would never abandon his friends; he would never choose the comfort of a stay at a hotel while his friend camped outside of the city. Kaya didn’t reply to Irina’s obvious question, it was true; Kaya had admitted defeat to Irina’s superior human intellect and she wasn’t happy about that either.

The team now arrived at the mysterious ruins that had endless turns and curves. The ideal location to set up an ambush, Jin and Irina would most likely be sitting ducks if that happened. ”We’re too vulnerable here, we need to keep to the shadows and hide our presence”, this was a hostile place after all. Hunters who had come to find the artifacts of the wizard saints would most likely be talented. To underestimate them would prove fatal, so Jin wasn’t going to make that mistake. Heeding Irina’s words both Jin and Kaya remained quiet and cautious as they tread. Jin was using his heat vision to make sure that no foreign heat signature would go unnoticed. It was then that he sensed someone moving in the shadows. Whoever it was, they had Jin and Irina in his/her sight. Jin couldn’t pinpoint the location of this foe but he had already felt the hostile intent. He looked at Irina but said no words guessing that she already knew about the arrival of this foe.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 27th May 2015, 11:35 pm

Irina closed her eyes for a moment as she turned her head slightly towards Jin behind her an arm reaching up to the sword strapped to her back. "Do me a favor, duck." She said and without warning the wrapping of the blade came undone as she released the blade from her back taking a swing for what appeared to be Jin's head despite them being much further than the swords actual length. As if prompted the blade started to segment itself extending the blades reach with the swing and assuming Jin ducked as she expected him to the blade would swing right at the gut of a person who had managed to sneak up behind them quite unexpectedly. The man who had gotten behind reflexively moved his gun to block the attack as the rather unwieldy blade made contact however the swing was enough to shatter both the gun and still leave a rather large cut in the mans side. "Looks like we have a rather quick grasshopper on our hands." Irina said as the blade retracted back into its normal form and she stood glaring him down. "You managed to move fast enough that detection wasn't enough to keep track of you for a single instant I will give you that. However you are dealing with someone built to handle such situations." Irina said as she prepared another swing as she listened to her surroundings. Multiple enemies had begun to stir from outside detection range, at least four others were making their approach. "Heh to think someone could out react to me, you damn hag." Irina's eye twitched, not only was this kid cocky while still being wounded and unarmed but he called her a hag. Irina had been insulted before however being called a hag was something that she could let stand and if only on a moments notice she was right in the kids face with the blade in full swing once again. "You have some nerve, never once has someone called me hag and I don't like it." She growled as the kid took another shot to the arm dealing more damage, her right eye now had been fully opened revealing a rather demonic shape. "I'm going to remove your head, I hear some crocodiles around here would like to have a taste of it." She glared down as another hunter emerged from the bushes, the other three were still a ways out and wouldn't get here in time to save their cocky friend and Irina expected Jin to deal with the other one.

As expected of his ally, not only had she noticed the foe but she was quick enough to pin point the location and then launch an attack. Jin only had so little time to do what he was told but he still managed to duck in time to avoid the slash. Kaya didn’t like that but she knew that this was not time to argue. Finally one of them decided to reveal himself and decided to fight, Irina’s action made it clear enough for Jin that she would be taking on him. ”I’ll leave him to you then” said Jin trusting Irina to do the job. He had picked up the heat signatures of four others around them, it appeared they were planning to sacrifice one of them. Jin didn’t like their strategy one bit. Until now he had been carrying Kaya, he calmly placed her on the ground; by that she knew that it was time to get serious.

Would Jin allow her to use her ability right now though? She was doubtful, so she didn’t do it by herself and awaited Jin’s instructions. ”Four of them huh? This is not going to be easy. I guess Irina won’t take long with that one guy, so I won’t have to deal with all of them. Then, which one’s do I take down first?”. Due to the difference of temperatures, Jin also knew that these guys were equipped with different kind of weapons. These guys were treasure hunters, so most likely the would use excavation equipment as weapons. Among those equipments the most dangerous would be the ones used to make explosions. Jin walked away from Irina and the other treasure hunter, if these guys were content on hiding, pushing them to fight might end up in a difficult situation for Jin and Irina. It would be better to keep an eye on them and take them on in a one on one fight if possible.

While Irina and her foe fought, one of them noticed that Jin was standing aside with his hands in his pockets. Jin’s confidence in his friend’s abilities angered this one individual and he decided to make a move on Jin. Sadly for the treasure hunter, Jin was keeping an eye on all four of them with his heat sensing abilities. He left a fake blind spot so that the opponent would feel at ease and attack him from there. As expected, the foe did exactly that, appearing and aiming his cannon at Jin. Having not expected the cannon, Jin immediately had to rush to his foe and thus he used his ability to heat up his leg muscles and gain the extra speed boost. With that he appeared at the side of his foe, only a few feet away and grabbed the cannon while kicking the foe’s left shoulder.

Jin’s aim was not to inflict damage but rather to make the cannon useless. With a direct contact of his hand and the cannon, that was easily accomplished as he made it too hot to hold. Thus the treasure hunter helplessly let go of the cannon before he could manage to fire it. The other treasure hunters probably wanted to find out the abilities of Jin and Irina, thus Jin had attempted to keep his hidden while he took on this foe.

Irina towered over her victim with a rather unnatural smile of madness, it was as if she was going enjoy tearing this guy to shreds. "I think I will call you Shredy, cause in about 5 seconds that's what you will be." She said in a malicious ton as the kid backed away in horror as another one of those elongated blade swings came just inches from beheading him. "Heh seems you can't aim that thing at all." He spoke once again gaining his cocky hold over the situation. Irina glared at him as the weapon went limp around him. "It isn't about how you saw me aim it, it's about where it lands." Before he even had a chance to open his mouth the weapon sprung back to life and as if controlled my invisible hands wrapped around him the blades jutting into his skin. "If I were you, I would drop the cocky domineer right away, cause right now your death is imminent." She screeched as each at every blade started to vibrate literally tearing the poor kid to shreds. Irina took a breath as the blood weapon shook off the remaining blood and retracted itself, each and every blade have vibrated enough to do enough damage to a kid of his stature. She took an estimate of how much damage she did in that amount of time which she estimated as enough to equal that of at least two A rank mages, these indeed were tough enemies.

She was about to make way back to Jin and his opponent when she took notice of the other three still hiding, of course Jin wasn't capable of eliminating all four at once thus the only explanation would be that they were hiding. Irina took hold of the blade once more though this time each segment seemed to detach and come apart letting all the pieces fall to the ground behind her. This however was a fake out as soon as that occurred a cannon blast sounded and moments later Irina was engulfed by dust. As one of the treasure hunters emerged from the trees with a wide smirk as if he had just won some sort of contest. "Bet you didn't see that coming you hardass." The man shouted at the cloud of smoke. Suddenly there was the sound of metal falling to the ground and the smoke cleared revealing Irina unscathed yet covered completely in dust with a rather wrecked segment of her previously good weapon at her feet while all the rest spun around her like some sort of force field. "Your cannon is quite effective but you made the mistake of revealing yourself after getting to cocky. Is it because you have friends in the bushes or was it cause my blade collapsed?" She asked looking rather unimpressed. The man stared on in awe as his shell not only did no damage but had been completely blocked by a segment of her sword. "Nemesis is a telekinetic sword, every swing and every move I use with it, is simply me bending it to my will. I assume your cannon is no longer in use as it has probably run out of ammo, what will you use for a weapon now." She said as she slowly approached him looking like a terrifying monster as he shook in place. Irina mentally face palmed her opponents were too bright, had they surrounded her with her numbers they could have quickly dispatched her then moved to her partner, but this was as far as they went with their intelligence.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 30th May 2015, 7:45 am

Another foe appeared and attacked Irina while Jin was busy, thank fully she was able to take out her opponent and take on the other. ”She’s good, comparatively I’m slow. I haven’t even been able to take out this guy”, his gaze turned down at the ground. This truth made him upset but it was good that it did, because it was when he looked down did he notice. ”The cannon!!”, he did made his opponent let go of it; now he could use it on them instead. A smile appeared on his face as he walked to the cannon and picked it up. The treasure hunter was a bit astonished since the cannon was incredibly hot and he couldn’t hold it; while Jin just picked it up. It was a given, he could change the temperature so he just turned it back to normal again. Now that the foe’s weapon was in his hand, all he needed to do was take out the target. ”You bastard!” shouted the agitated foe, Jin didn’t bother to reply instead he aimed the cannon at the foe and fired it. Bang!! A loud noise echoed in the ruins once more and the fired projectile hit its mark, blowing them away. ”Well that’s one” he thought as a smile appeared on his face, Kaya was still standing behind him, happy about the outcome.

Unlike Kaya, the friends of the treasure hunter were not so happy with the result. They had just witnessed Jin use their cannon on one of their friends. Their priorities shifted from finding out about Jin’s abilities to killing him. The remaining three now came out of hiding and stood in front of him. ”How dare you do that to Larry, you’re dead now!” angrily stated one of the treasure hunters, there were tears in his eyes. Jin hadn’t killed the treasure hunter, he had just blown him away so the foe was probably lying somewhere unconscious. ”So you guys finally decide to show yourselves. Saves me the trouble then” said Jin as he rushed towards his enemies using his boosted speed. He was fast and thus he appeared in the center of his foes before they could fire at him. Upon his arrival, there was sudden decrease in temperature around him, the treasure hunters could feel the cold around them. ”Room” was the spell he used to make this temperature change.

The turned to face Jin so they could fire at him but he was unaffected by the temperature change, so because of the cold they were slower he was faster. ”Hopefully Irina will stay away from my effective range”, Jin’s abilities didn’t differentiate between friends and foes. He had just used such a spell, so Kaya was staying away. If he warned Irina, his foes would find out and thus stay away from Jin thus making his spell ineffective. After changing the temperature and slowing his foes down, he rushed to one of his foes and dodged their attack which they launched after seeing him coming towards them. Jin was close, so instead of firing the cannon the foe just waved it around and since he was faster now, he simply dodged. Appearing behind the foe, he grabbed the enemy from behind now reducing the body temperature of the foe much faster. The others watched in horror as one of them was frozen while there body temperatures continued to drop. The calm expression on Jin’s face, the sudden change in temperature and the site of yet another one of their friends taken down; it was a horrifying experience for these professional treasure hunters. You’re a …. Monster!” noted one of the treasure hunters whose body had begun to fail him by now.

Irina stared at the terrified man before her as he frantically attempted to reload his cannon before her which one could imagine was not very easy to do in a hasty fashion. He ended up dropping the cannon all together as Irina took another step forward causing him to attempt to flee in terror out of fear that what had just occurred to his buddy moments ago would also happen to him. As if almost timed intentionally another man came flying through the bushes to flatten Irina's target leaving them both laying unconscious in front of her. Irina would have grinned if she felt like it but instead opted to return to her regular emotionless state. "Jin you're aim is impeccable, not only did you take out one of your targets but you also took out one of mine." She gently shouted assuming he would hear her from this distance. As she turned to go and rejoin her partner one of the two hunters that had just been creamed stood back up appearing quite shaken. "So not only are you guys terrible with your weapons but you are also sore loosers." She said as she started to walk towards the guy who appeared to be the one Jin had sent her way. "Honestly you should have stayed down, I'm not very kind to my opponents." Irina stated emotionless as she made her approach of the guy who was still getting his barrings back. Irina began to draw Murasame out of its sheath prepared to finish off the job. However this guy had a lot more tricks up his sleeve as he pulled out some smaller gun, it appeared to have multiple rounds already pre-loaded and now he was going to unload on Irina. However his misfortune could only get worse as he unloaded the magazine in an attempt to kill Irina as the pieces of Nemesis spin to block most of the bullets and what few that got through were quickly blocked by a few sweeping motions of Murasame with the exception of one as it grazed Irina's cheek. "One..." Irina said as she closed her eyes for a moment bowing her head as she raised a hand to check on the tiny wound. "You managed to hit one..." She repeated though this time she was behind her victim with Murasame already freshly coated with blood. "You're lucky, I made the wounds shallow, but you should be down for a bit." She stated as the man slumped over back into the world of sleep.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 3rd June 2015, 3:46 am

Jin turned to hear Irina as she complimented him, one of his foes was literally frozen and the other was frozen in fear so there was no rush. ”eh?”, did he do what Irina just complimented him for? No, he didn’t. He just aimlessly fired the cannon, he had no reason to aim since the treasure hunter was so close. The hunter landing on of his friends was nothing but pure coincidence, he’ll probably have to clear that up later. It was in the midst of battle and conversing casually would be disrespectful to his foes. Even though Irina and Jin were too strong as compared to these foes, Jin didn’t want to disrespect them. He was no samurai but he obeyed the warrior’s code and fought honorably.

While Irina took down her foe, Jin walked to the freezing remaining foe. The temperature was dropping even more drastically in Jin’s spell’s range. He grabbed the treasure hunter by the collar and began freezing him as well, there was no exchange of words. It was Jin staring coldly into his eyes and the treasure hunter couldn’t utter a single word in fear. Jin froze all of the hunter’s body but left his face unharmed. After that, he turned off his spell; their foes were defeated and two of them had ended up frozen. ”Now then, I’ll need you to tell me everything you know” said Jin, letting go of the frozen structure that was the treasure hunter’s body. He turned to look at Irina who had now defeated her foe. It would be convenient to know where they were heading and what they should be expecting. Kaya returned to Jin’s side now that he had turned off his spell. The man was just too cold to speak and he was frightened by the two Black Rose mages.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 8th June 2015, 3:52 am

Irina appeared behind Jin as if she was never there before though given Jin's talent with detection she wouldn't be surprised if he already knew, her nature of being in places without many people knowing was simply just a habit people would naturally get used to it and she expected that. "You know it's hard to talk when people when they are that cold." Irina said to Jin after witnessing his attempt to interrogate a prisoner, maybe he wasn't very adept at interrogation. Irina walked up and stared at the frozen man for a moment then frowned in disappointment. "This guy knows nothing, he's just the cannon fodder." She said as she turned away and took a few steps down the road. "These guys are here just to slow us down but they know nothing about what the rest of their group is up to, I would assume they are quite adept and keeping information within a certain circle to keep information from leaking out." She stated as she resumed walking. "We should hurry the main group of them has probably already begun working on whatever the hell they wanted." She stated as Nemesis took on its previous form with one rather beat up section in the middle.

After a short walk down the road Irina found herself looking at the Ancient Ruins up close, the place that they were supposedly hired to get into and take out the treasure hunters that were going to raid the magic items stored inside. She unsheathed Murasame and sat down laying the blade on her lap and began a chant. "Buril kry mena sil niel." She prepared her biting curse on Murasame and stood back up resheathing the blade. "They will be waiting inside, I expect you to be ready to use deadly force." She told Jin whom she assumed followed her as she placed her hands against the door and attempted to push to no avail.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 8th June 2015, 11:16 am

Irina pointed out the obvious and Jin realized his mistake, she was right; how was the guy supposed to talk if he was frozen stiff like that? Nevertheless, Jin’s inexperience in interrogation was as evident as the sun. Irina also liberated him from the gruesome task by telling him the reality about the captured individual, it was only a waste of time. Realizing that upon Irina’s explanation, Jin let go of the frozen hunter since he was no longer able to harm them in any way. ”This wasn’t even the main group and they had cannons. I can only imagine what the main group would be capable of”, it would only be smart not to underestimate the opposition. Irina’s preparation depicted something similar, she wasn’t underestimating the opponents either.

”Deadly force? Does she intend to kill people?”, killing was something he never approved of. He only nodded and didn’t voice his thoughts since they were already at the door of the ancient ruins. It was one gigantic door, was it made by giants for giants? Seriously, a whole army could march through the enormous gate. Irina tried pushing the thing which Jin thought would be a bad idea since for starters it wouldn’t work. ”I suggest we should try some other route” said Jin, Kaya was quiet the entire time. Was she asleep? Probably bored since she had nothing to do yet. There were two possibilities, either the door was originally closed or the main group went inside and closed it afterwards. In the latter case, that probably meant that they had some kind of trap set with it as well. The building was ancient so there was a high chance of finding a whole large enough for them to fit through. Jin started looking around the door and walked alongside the wall.

After poking the wall a few times, a bunch of bricks fell revealing a convenient entrance. He looked at Irina and pointed at the large hole, ”See!” he said. Was this the right path to walk through? There was a possibility that this might be a trap too but they had to make a choice anyways. So it would be better to choose the one with the least probability of being a trap.

Post by Irina Naginata 16th June 2015, 4:57 am

Irina turned to where Jin was poking holes into the ruins, the bricks that fell in made the expected crumbly noise as they hit the ground, but they made a rather noticeable echo throughout the ruins. "You found a way in but... now they know we are here." She quietly berated Jin for his actions. She said wasting no time in quickly slipping through the newly created entrance with almost no caution at all. "We must hurry, we can't let them make their esca, OW!" Irina was cut short as she stepped on one of the bricks that fell down the hole causing her to twist her ankle, the sudden pain in her ankle prompted her to face first into the wall in front of her. She mentally berated herself for ignoring caution as she tried to stand back up only to find her foot failing to respond due to the pain, it was however not broken but she wouldn't be able to walk right which would make it very difficult for her to fight given her specialty being mobility.

Irina looked up at the hole which was allowing what little sunlight there was that wasn't already blotted out by the clouds pour in. "Jin you should hurry down here, I hurt myself." She called up to Jin with a slight attempt to make sure that her voice didn't echo through the ruins at the same time. She expected Jin to follow her down the hole and assist her, however she also expected her partner to abandon her given what she would do in such a situation. Irina thought about the idea of being left alone in here to die by her partner when she came to a realization remembering their previous conversation, Jin wouldn't abandon her for a second, the thought of this actually made her blush a little Jin did happen to be decently good looking but she wasn't sure he was exactly her type. She attempted to shut the emotions out of her mind, she was just being silly, no one in their right mind would dare be attracted to her.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Okura Jin 16th June 2015, 9:12 am

Jin nervously scratched the back of her head when Irina pointed out that the enemy now knew they were there. It wasn’t something he was suspecting; maybe he should have been more careful. Before he could enter the route he had found, Irina slipped through it first. It was dark but Jin was able to navigate using his thermal sensing vision; it wasn’t clear but it provided him a general idea of the lay out. He didn’t see the hole and so Irina fell victim to it. Jin wasn’t far behind when she fell, he had Kaya in his arms and Kaya jumped off his arms and after Irina. It was like saying, “Kaya to the rescue!”, she wasn’t fond of Irina apparently but she wouldn’t leave a friend behind; just like her owner. Jin too followed closely behind, Kaya smoothly landed beside Irina and Jin climbed down to her as well. ”Sorry, it’s all my fault I probably shouldn’t have looked for another route”, he bowed his head apologetically impervious to the slight blush that was on Irina’s cheek. He was worried about his guild mate being hurt, Jin was a gentle individual who cared for all his friends and guild mates; irrespective of their personalities or pasts.

He walked up to Irina and looked at her ankle, ”I can help reduce any swelling if there’s any. I don’t know any healing magic. So uhhh..” he paused a little as he looked at Irina, ”..since you can’t walk, I’m gonna have to lift you up”. Was that a request? Well, it was something similar since he didn’t wait for her reply, Jin turned and sat down with his back towards Irina. Kaya ran back to Irina’s back and nudged her with her nose and paws, gently pushing her to climb on to Jin’s back. Jin wasn’t that muscular but he was strong and he was tall as well, carrying Irina around while she recovered wouldn’t be much of a problem for him. However, fighting while Irina was on her back was a completely different story; it wasn’t even possible for him at his current level of strength.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 18th June 2015, 11:08 am

Irina found herself being pushed onto Jin's back by Kaya which was a bit funny considering the tigers size. Irina was about to wrap her arms around Jin so he could carry her when she realized that they wouldn't have any hope to attack or defend in that posture, and given her weight with the sword strapped to her back, running away wouldn't be easy either especially in the dark. "Hold on" Irina said as she drew Murasame before climbing up on Jin's back. "We need some way to defend ourselves." Irina stated holding onto Jin with one arm and using the other to wield the weapon. Given their current state it was still a bit difficult to fight but at least now they could be considered armed and dangerous compared to a moment before. "What ever you do, don't argue." She threatened as she mentally glared at Jin, though despite all this she was actually still blushing, though one probably couldn't tell in the dark.

As they proceeded Irina tried to remain aware as possible, however it was difficult to tell what was going on around them considering how dark the place was. Instead of relying on eyesight Irina decided to rely more on her hearing to detect their enemy. She strained her eyes a bit swearing she noticed a shadow when she started to hear voices, two to be exact and she tightened her grip on Murasame. "I swear I heard something a while ago." One of the voices said in protest while another voice piped up. "You're just paranoid, everyone knows you're afraid of the dark." It barked back followed by a round of laughs indicating the presence of several other individuals, around three of them Irina estimated. Given the position they were in and the sound of the voices they were likely grouped into a tight group. "Listen even if you don't like being here the boss said keep a lookout for uninvited guests, but no one would be dumb enough to follow us into this maze." The second voice barked again in a cocky fashion. As the two Black Rose mages would round the corner they would come to a dimly lit chamber from up on a balcony with a group of unaware treasure hunters in the middle.

Jin was about to tell Irina that Kaya was perfectly capable of defending the two but Irina told him not to argue; so he didn’t. Kaya could hardly contain her gentle giggles which Jin couldn’t hear but he expected she would be enjoying this. With care and tenderness, Jin lifted his guild mate on his back and off they were, heading into the darkness where he maneuvered using his heat vision. It took him some time but he finally managed to find a way out of the darkness and into the light where a conversation was barely audible. It appeared they weren’t expecting any intruders so they still had the element of surprise, that was one good thing. It was an open area but still had quite a few hiding spots, broken pillars, walls and some piles of dirt or something of the sort. He looked around and noticed three others besides the other two audible ones. A total of five enemies, kind of like before but this time they had the element of surprise. Jin turned and looked at Irina, he didn’t use much words but he hoped that she would understand. She was in no condition to fight but both Jin and Kaya could handle these five. He sat back down again to allow Irina to get off his back, ”Let’s go, Kaya”; ”Aye!” she said following Jin closely.

The two in the middle seemed not so worried while the three on the sides maintained quite a bit of caution. Jin interpreted that as a trap and so he devised a simple to strategy to take out his opposition. Kaya jumped in the middle of the area and on top of the two, as her size changed and she became the gigantic and ferocious version of herself. Her sudden appearance and overwhelming size surprised the two who were supposed to be mentally prepared for surprise attacks. She jumped in the middle and on top of one of them, her weight and strength crushed that one into the ground. He was probably out for the count thanks to that move. The remaining one prepared to attack her but she was quicker, she swung her claw at the treasure hunter. Meanwhile, Jin remained in the shadows and appeared behind the three who were still confused about the appearance of the large sabertooth tiger.

Upon noticing the three, Jin launched his attack in the same manner as Kaya confronted her foes; sudden, swift and powerful. ”Miniplosions!” a series of explosions happened where the three treasure hunters were hiding resulting in them being caught. The three having sustained damage were still able to move and had now noticed Jin. All three had guns on them and as a result, they began their rapid fire towards Jin. Having thought that the surprise attack would be enough, their reaction was a surprise and was shocking. The result wasn’t pretty as three bullets grazed Jin’s upper torso, piercing his fish. Blood began to gush out of his body as pain ran through it. He took some cover behind a nearby wall from the three injured foes. They were heavily injured, probably more than Jin was and this was the time to make good use of that. Using the sounds of the gunfire, he calculated the possible locations of the three treasure hunters. The explosions from before were cold based and as a result the three treasure hunters were already quite cold. He sat there for a little while, as he continued to reduce the body temperatures of the three treasure hunters. Slowly, their speed dropped and eventually they couldn’t even move their fingers to pull on the triggers.

Having finished her opponents, Kaya jumped to Jin’s assistance and took out the almost frozen three foes using her brute strength. Jin had by then stopped the bleeding by cooling down the wounds but the pain was a different matter. Kaya shrunk down to her normal size since maintaining her magic used Jin’s magic. Jin emerged out into the open dragging with Kaya’s help and waved his arm to Irina, telling her that it was clear now.

Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin) Empty Re: Hunting Hunters (Job: Irina, Jin)

Post by Irina Naginata 24th June 2015, 1:29 pm

Irina watched as Jin and Kaya systematically removed the threat of the hunters bellow however they made quite the ruckus thus there was a likelihood that another group of hunters will probably be on their way and Irina wasn't about to stick around for them to find her. However as she expected with dismay they were ready for such an event as she turned around to find herself confronted with 3 rather weak treasure hunters, probably rookies that knew absolutely nothing being sent out as a small scout force. The looked over the woman before them some of them even licked their lips, was Irina actually that good looking, she never really took into consideration her appearance, or had she, she wasn't exactly sure what she did herself. The three of them all drew their weapons and took a stance that barely looked like they were ready to kill, in fact they looked like all they cared about was capture. "You're a bunch of idiots." Irina said with an annoyed tone, she knew exactly what they wanted and was not about to give it to them, promptly she lifted Murasame. "If you wish to take me alive, you will have to take me with the intent to kill." She stated as two of the men charged her like the idiots they were. Likewise with some fancy yet painful and awkward footwork due to her injury she managed to avoid them and send them right off the balcony right into the lions den that was Jin and Kaya, though they might just have been knocked out by the fall alone."Seems I'm not quite ready for that much footwork." She stated looking down at her ankle which was throbbing with pain while the remaining hunter stared on with awe as if he had never seen such swordsmanship before and immediately dropped their weapon. Irina looked down at the individual, they were the only one that didn't bother licking their lips at the beginning of the confrontation. "That was beautiful." The individual stated with a rather feminine voice. Irina raised her eyebrow and sheathed her sword as what apparently was a woman under the guise of a man sat before her. Almost as if in an attempt to worship Irina the woman bowed down. "Please teach me, I want to learn how to be a beautiful swordswoman like you." Stated the woman in praise. Irina just stared with her one open eye. "Maybe some other time, I have work to do." Irina spoke in a very unimpressed tone now attempting to turn away as the woman jumped up to hug her. "No please let me be your apprentice." Irina was now being harassed by a woman that was just a moment ago her enemy who was pretending to be a young boy and was apparently obsessed with her swordsmanship, and Irina wasn't exactly inclined to help them either. "Fine I will teach you, but let go first." She stated very very annoyed.
