[ Mission ] Matter of the Soul! { Seikatsu/Allison }

While Seikatsu was loafing around at Home Tree after the events in spooky forest, a strand wisp appeared in the middle of his war room. Turning to the brightly shining object, Seikatsu awaited it to do something. "Salutations, mortal." the strange light said. Seikatsu bowed politely, assuming the thing was friendly as it hadn't any means to attack. "On behalf of the celestial spirits, we'd like to ask a favor..." it said while looking in god knows what direction. Seikatsu waited to hear the thing out, the object waiting to hear Seikatsu say something... A few moments of silence between the two, and the sphere explained that a wizard was entering a type of... trial of self or something of the sorts and she wasn't strong enough on her own to enter. It wanted Seikatsu to go with her, as he was strong in spiritual matters, and had no allegiance to any faction in particular.

Upon agreeing to the task Seikatsu was granted time to get prepared. He packed along a set of food, some water, his swords the Thorn of Betrayal and the Heart of Way, and notified the celestial messenger that he was prepared to go. The world grew slightly dark as he was transported to a waiting room with a portal in front. From the outside world, it appeared as though a large cluster of orbs converged from the walls, creating Seikatsu's form in the middle of the room in front of the awaiting wizard. Seikatsu looked down at the small wizard, a person whom he didn't know personally. His eyes and most of his face were covered by the torn, tattered, beaten hood of his tan cloak, the rest of the cloak in no better condition. Seikatsu took the hood off, revealing a rather large demonic scar on his right cheek, and a pair of dull, dead, eyes that made those looking in feel as if they were actually a type of void sucking out their very souls.

Seikatsu put his hand out to shake with the small, smiley wizard as he examined her. Seikatsu didn't think her much of a fighter as he examined her shiny grey leggings, light pink shirt, and the dark grey jacket she was wearing. "Seikatsu, I hail from the Tribe of Souls." Seikatsu said in a voice that suggested he were upset. Seikatsu took his cloak off, revealing his black haori worn over a white male kimono and the dagger end of his Thorn of Betrayal. He folded the cloak neatly and set it down on the bench, opposite of the cat. Out of his sleeve, a small, black, snake-like wyvern by the name of Lisa crawled out. Lisa looked about and immediately jumped on Allision, sniffing her all over while clinging to her clothes with the claws on her wings. She jumped back on Seikatsu and let off a few high-pitched clicking noises.

"As you are the only other in this room, I shall assume you and I will undergo this venture as a team. I am greatly pleased to be at the side of such an adorable wizard, and assure you I shall aid you best I can." Seikatsu said while giving a polite bow, as is the way his people greet their allies.

"However, I wish to warm you, powerful an ally I may be I am mortal just like you. This land we are entering is dangerous, and I am unable to watch your back and my own, I will depend on you greatly to protect me as I will protect you." Seikatsu added before turning to the portal. With the wyvern on his back, swords at his waist, and an ally to defend Seikatsu turned to the wizard and asked "Shall we enter" gesturing to the portal.

Seikatsu performed a backflip as one of the beasts flew out of he shadows at him. "Can't be killed..." Seikatsu repeated out loud. The beast turned and began charging at Seikatsu rapidly, gaining speed with each stomp of its massive legs. The beast changed form to a version of his daughter, And exact copy of Kateri. "That trick won't work on me!" Seikatsu exclaimed as he sent his two sword through the midsection of the shadow beast. The beast turned to smoke and reformed in the same image. A young, sixteen year old girl with hair that reached mid thigh, two pistols and a sword at her hip. Lisa was as unamused as Seikatsu was with the failed impersonation as she dived out of the air and sent herself straight through the apparition. The apparition changed to his fiance, whom he didn't know whether or not was still alive. Seikatsu got angrier at the apparition, stabbing in in the chest with both blades as it reached out to grab him. He kicked the beast, forcing it backwards and onto the floor. He walked to the shadow beast with his eyes flickering between purple and crimson. "Your kind will never break me, for I am the link between man and demon. I am the Chief of the Undead, and the guardian of souls. Take this knowledge with you." Seikatsu said in a deep, angry voice as he rammed the blade of his sword through the shadow beasts face.

The beast erupted into a cloud of darkness as the first two did. His eyes were flickering between their standard dull, dead purple look, and a bright crimson color. The scar on his face glowed a dark bloody color, and began giving off a type of black aura. Seikatsu stepped over to Allison and looked at her with his changing eyes. "This trial has done the worst possible thing..." he said ominously as he turned, looking for where the next monster would come out of.

Seikatsu saw as his ally surprised him by how quickly she'd dispatched the shadow beast. He actually began feeling bad about having had the initial thought of leaving her when he thought she was going to be a liability. Seikatsu stood in place with his eyes closed and took in a deep breath. "Du och jag är undertrycks av vintern..." Seikatsu said calmly as a great frosty wind stirred about the two. He had no concerns using his Sheer Cold attack as his ally was clothed sufficiently. The winds at first were calm, room temperature. After Seikatsu's words, the temperature slowly dropped, steadily getting colder and the air picked up speed. Before long, Seikatsu had engulfed the entire battlefield in a violent snowstorm so cold, had Allison not been wearing a jacket, she'd be brutally effected. For now, Seikatsu didn't care if his ally was uncomfortable, he was pissed off. Seikatsu clapped his hands together as a large amount of swords appeared, spinning around the outsides of the arena. The swords permitted Seikatsu and his ally a 3 meter radius area to fight in before they'd be injured. Each sword, blue with dark blue highlights moving throughout them as they rapidly spun about in circles.
"COME ON!" Seikatsu challenged the beast awaiting in the shadows. It burst forth, being hammered by the swords but it didn't stop there. The beast charge at Seikatsu and jumped. In his rage, Seikatsu was more determined to wreak havoc on this trial, he jumped over the beast and grabbed the back of it's neck and began riding it. He used his Thorn of Betrayal and stabbed it multiple times, smiling and laughing as he enjoyed his rodeo experience from hell. The beast exploded into dust and Seikatsu rolled forward, amazed he hadn't been hurt too terribly from the encounter. He returned to the center as he heard more enemies making themselves present.

-Note to Allison, I'm rolling x5 for enemies further ahead. All do no necessarily have to die on this turn. Any weak monster rolled will die upon entering the field due to AoE. Do not enter AoE yourself, damage will be dealt-

Watching the four beasts charge through the mix of freezing winds, and slashing swords as their considerably weaker friends were torn to shreds, Seikatsu noted that the beasts cared little for their allies. They all converged on Seikatsu and he made a slashing motion with his Heart of War. As he did so, a large golden orb expanded outwards. The barrier resonated with Seikatsu desire to protect not himself, but his ally. Should Seikatsu die in this land, Allison would be obligated to fight alone, and she too would perish. The beasts hit the barrier and bounced back through the swords, each taking some damage in the process. The barrier shattered upon being hit by simultaneous forces and left Seikatsu open. Seikatsu wasn't surprised at this turn of events and had stuck his Heart of War in the ground. He held out his Thorn of Betrayal and looked at the four opponents. "I am Seikatsu of the Tribe of Souls. You will bend to my will, or be destroyed by my power!" Seikatsu said irritated with the four dark souls as his sword exploded into a fine metallic powder, and reassembled to form a scythe.
Seikatsu looked back and saw Allison had finished off her enemies, so it was time for Seikatsu to finish his. He charged at the beasts, and they charged back, each thundering towards the other. Lisa dived into the mix, running her tail across the legs of one of the creature making it trip. Seikatsu ducked down on his knees, sliding under one of the beasts as it jumped to pounce on him, and spun in a circle slashing the other two. Seikatsu jumped to his feel and rammed the spike end of his scythe into the head of the one Lisa had tripped. He saw the three charging and Lisa flew fast at one of them. She dipped under its belly, running her tail up the bottom of the beast bisecting it. Spinning his scythe, Seikatsu slashed both of the remaining shadow beasts deep in their skulls. The four beasts exploded into shadowy dust, and the great winds about Seikatsu had whisked away all the powder, scattering it back into the shadows beyond the edge of the platform.

Seikatsu stood in place with a great big crooked smile on his face as the fortyfive foot soldier, failed apparitions, tools whatever one would call them, charged vainly at the duo. Upon entering the mix of swords and ice, each and every one of them began turning to little more than a pile of dust being swept away by shifting winds. Seikatsu laughed maniacally as they fell, hearing a matter of feet from him his own ally was reveling in their failure. Before long a pair of shadow beasts flew in through the shadows towards Allison, or more specifically that thing clinging to her leg. Seikatsu and Lisa each got a hit in on them as they whizzed past on their way. Seikatsu got grazed by one of the beasts on its way by, but was more occupied with looking for the other. By his own calculations, it should be coming back... Seikatsu hadn't noticed the beast coming down from overhead, luckily he noticed the shadow cast and was able to partially avoid the hit. The beast turned into an image of Altsoba, the Demon of War in an attempt to spike Seikatsu's true feelings towards her. Seikatsu's anger exploded and his eyes burned bright crimson as he saw the face of the woman who caused him to destroy an entire people. Seikatsu kicked the apparition so hard it flew directly up. Pulling his Heart of War from the ground he made an arc, cutting the demon's visage completely in half, it's dist being taken away with the Sheer Cold. Seikatsu stepped to the middle of the field, awaiting his next opponent to show itself. His eyes burning bright crimson with blood lust, the scars on his face and hands giving off a strong dark aura as their bloody glow pulsed. Seikatsu was ready to annihilate whatever horror dared show itself on this field. He was more than ready, he wanted it to show itself, he wanted to punish it for unleashing him.

Watching as his wall of swords faded away, Seikatsu felt rather unhappy that the duo was now open to assault. Luckily, Seikatsu has more bags of tricks than your average wizard. A pair of shadow beasts had bolted past Allison, probably just missed her really, and Seikatsu and Lisa went to work on them. One of the beasts just barely missed the soul wizard with some strange attack where it shot something out of its body, the other was attempting to flank him. Lisa dived down and latched onto the beast trying to side step Seikatsu, using her sharp tail to repeatedly stab the creature. The creature thrashed about as the wyvern was stab, stab, stabbing away at its back. Unable to shake the black wyvern, the beast exploded into a cloud of shadows. Seikatsu was absolutely livid, his eyes had turned a bright crimson and his scars were glowing with demonic power, he couldn't be happier now that he had a play thing. The shadow beast thundered at Seikatsu, changing form to things it though Seikatsu wouldn't attack. At first it changed form to a child, attempting to appeal to Seikatsu's love of children as a father. Seikatsu dashed over to the shadowy child and rammed the blade of his scythe all the way in, lifting it off the ground and then slamming it back down. The shadow then changed form to mimic his own ally, and exact copy of Allison and he had no hesitation to behead it. The being erupted into a shadowy mist, and Seikatsu slowly looked up, laughing maniacally with his eyes and scars glowing. Lisa, watching from above, was beginning to contemplate putting her own master down, as he was getting to 'that' point. Should this trial get him too close, Lisa would have to step in, or fly in rather, and take care of Seikatsu.

Unable to hear his partner's voice, unable to see her, unable to even sense her presence, Seikatsu had entered a state of being he'd only ever once entered before. The last time he was in this state, his entire tribe lost their lives. Seikatsu turned his head in the direction his partner was in, looking her as his eyes turned from a bright crimson, to full on black. A mass of magical power exploded from his body, ripping his kimono's top to shreds and exposing the demonic scars on his muscular chest. The scare were no longer glowing with a dull, subtle blood color, but rather each was emitting a strong, heavy black aura. Lisa dived down to stop Seikatsu before he would be able to harm anyone on their side, but she was too slow. A pair of wings, angelic looking wings erupted from Seikatsu's back and turned a black, tar color. He exploded forward into the fortyfive man army charging towards them from the shadows. He swing his scythe, decapitating seven of them, and then began hack and slashing the rest. He stabbed one man and threw him aside, grabbing another forcing him to the ground and stomping his brains in. The foot soldiers got to the point where only three remained, running to Allison. They weren't trying to attack her, they ran around her and tried to hide behind her. In a flash, Seikatsu was in front the young wizard, in another he was behind her and the men were all headless.
The three shadow beasts returned from their shadow world, only to find their comrades already destroyed. Seikatsu flew over on his wings of darkness, with scythe on had, pitch black eyes, and a bit of blood seeping down the side of his mouth. He smiled and laughed psychotically as he grabbed the first beast and lifted it. Seikatsu slammed the beast to the ground and ran the loop end of his scythe through its head. The loop end wasn't bladed... it had no way of cutting, and would require great force to be sent through anything thicker than paper. He spun around as one of the beasts tried to head to Allison and rammed his scythe into its back, pulling on it. The beast dig its nails into the platform, trying to not be pulled into the brutality. Seikatsu began hammering it repeatedly with his scythe, and it too turned to dust. The final beast, heading to Allison, and Lisa, circling overhead, waiting for a chance to stop her master.

Seikatsu heard a chipper voice entering his head, along with some indiscernible screams from Altsoba. He tried to shake 'it' but before he could put forth any effort more enemies came and 'it' took control again. His movements, his fighting style, his reaction to the people around him... all a different entity all together. Four shadow beasts came out of the shadows, what a concept, and charged at Allison. Seikatsu had other plans as he was already in front of one of them, and rammed the scythe into its face, and ripped out the blade through its backside. He continued his momentum, grabbing a beast by digging his hand into its body and slammed it into another, the beast closest to Allison, just a little more than an arms length away, dawned a face of terror as it reached forward and got pulled back by the neck. Seikatsu used his scythe and hooked it on that beasts neck and pulled it to him, slashing at it several times more. Seikatsu slammed the blade of his weapon into both remaining shadow beasts and they turned to dust. Seikatsu grabbed his face and fell to the ground, hunched over a dark energy was engulfing him, pulsating about him. His scythe reverted to the Thorn of Betrayal and Seikatsu was stuck in this hunched position as more enemies approached.

Lisa, remembering the person Allison was, turned tail and latched onto Allison's head.
"Child." Lisa said, in a powerful voice, tapping into her ability to link with whomever she deemed on of her own. "I understand you are a pure hearted one. You worry for your allies, and attempt to aid them. But my master is no longer himself. Stay at a distance if able, and protect him from afar. Less my master turn on you." The wyvern advised, her voice fading out. Lisa took to the skies again, circling overhead, watching her master, and waiting for the proper moment.
