The Devil Slayer put his jacket, the jacket that's worth five mansions in Magnolia, in the closet of his new house. It was more of a safehouse, actually, hidden in the less populated slums of Hargeon, wherever those were.

He managed to get ahold of some chick who would give him somewhere to stay in exchange for some money per month. Lucky for him, there were still people who housed known criminals in Fiore.

But living with that woman in particular had its disadvantages.

There were a set of rules by which Shunsuke was bound:

    1. No drinking.
    2. No smoking
    3. No torturing.
    4. No breaking things.
    5. No doing bad things under this roof.
    6. No coming in after 2AM.
    7. No fornicating.

If you gave me a dollar for each shit Shunsuke didn't give about those regulations, I'd be a rich motherfucker. Anyhow, Shunsuke walked out of the house quickly, as to not arouse the anger of his landlord. As he walked, he tried to remember where in God's name the guild was.

It just had to be somewhere around here.

Oh yeah, the trip took Shunsuke about an hour and a half, most of which he spent walking. Think about all the food he had to eat just to keep himself going. Okay, well, it was a hamburger and some fries, but it wasn't much compared to the distance that he was walking.

Once he reached the guild hall, the Devil Slayer walked in, immediately to the bar, taking some of his favorite vodka.

Spinning his chair around, Elijah was bored out of his mind, nothing had happened for a few days, ever since Ivy had shown up. Laycie had kept him company for another night in these few days, but that had been it for the demon girl. No other member had been around either really, none who would provide much interest to the guild master that is. Everyone either had a complaint or an idea, which to be frank, didn't matter much to the man. A member who hadn't proven to be an asset, was worth as much as a servant, meaning, they were expendable. It was the way of the guild, if you weren't strong or useful in another way, you were the first to be sent to a suicide mission, to either prove your worth or to die, like a weakling.

Boredom struck again, causing the man to walk out of his office and down the stairs, down into the entrance hall. From there he took the left most corridor, which led into the depths of the massive guild hall. The halls and corridors of the building, made an ant's nest within Mt.Hakobe. There were enough rooms in the building, to house mot of Fiore, if the need would have arisen. If that did happen, much coin would be collected from those, seeking refuge in a dark guild's halls. The man's destination, was a small door, close to the edge of the bar, which lead into a dark room, that only the guild master had access to. He stayed in the room for a minute, no longer, no less and came out with glass, of what seemed like wine. Or what everyone interpreted as wine and it was what Elijah would call it. It's secret would be kept a secret for now.

Walking into the bar, Elijah didn't see many members, mostly servants and maintenance workers, who took care of the guilds basic needs. But there was someone who caught the man's interest. A guild members, who's file he had read, but never really had the pleasure to meet, except from the obvious sighting that happened daily in the guild hall, unless someone got lost. Which happened a lot more than anyone wanted to admit.

This member though, seemed much too interested in the vodka, not a cheap drink, thankfully the guild was high on funds and spending was low, so the members could easily treat themselves to most things they wanted. Even if it was alcohol.

Walking up to the man, Elijah leaned against the counter of the bar, taking a sip of his blood red drink. ''Greetings.'' It was all the man used to grab the white haired members attention, hopefully it would prove to be enough. ''How's the vodka treating you?''

The Devil Slayer continued to sip the vodka, unusual because Shunsuke would always just gulp it down as soon as he got the damn drink. He drank about enough to make a regular mage drunk.

Well, Shunsuke isn't the average mage, so it'd take him something around twenty shot glasses to actually get inebriated.

The vodka, asides from giving his throat a cooling feeling in the morning, helped him forget his aches.

    OST #1:

"This world is going to hell as we speak, and there's not a goddamn thing we can do about it because people are too ignorant to realize that very fallacy."

Shunsuke immediately remembered his times in the trees, a pasttime that he has slowly learned to stray away from. That being said, he used to stalk people. But he's found a greater appreciation for being more...in the open.

His time in the trees, watching people live their lives, as if though nothing had happened, nor was going to happen. Were they unknowing? Or had they drowned themselves in their happiness long enough to quell the feeling that something is going to happen.

The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets. Shunsuke never believed that lie.

It was with great pleasure, that he drank the vodka that he had taken earlier quickly.

The Devil Slayer began to find it increasingly harder and harder to get out of bed each morning. It was as though an elephant were sitting upon his chest and he couldn't move at all.

Anyhow, now that I'm done with that analogy or whatever the hell that is, let me get to the present.

The Devil Slayer poured himself yet another shot glass of vodka when a red-haired man, the guildmaster, leaned against the bar counter and greeted Shunsuke with a "How's the vodka treating you?"

Shunsuke propped himself up and replied with: "It takes more care of me than most of the people in my life have."

Grinning at the white haired man's answer and taking a sip of his drink, Elijah nodded at the man. His answer was truthful, especially fitting for a dark guild, not a lot of people here who one could trust their life in. So everyone had to trust something, be it an object, a thought, a faith, or indeed, alcohol. It was just in human nature, no one could go on without something to trust in. Elijah's trust, was put into the guild, a strong trust, that this guild could make it's goal a reality and along with that, fill the dream and goal of all it's members.

Taking a seat on the bar stool next to Shunsuke, Elijah let out an audible sigh, taking another drink of the red liquid, which seemed much thicker than regular alcohol, which it indeed, wasn't. It was something quite different than a regular drink, but it's secret would be kept a secret, at least from members, who hadn't yet attained a high place in the hierarchy of the guild. They could find out about the hidden dark part of Basilisk Fang and it's guild master. It would be nothing but dark to them. Maybe Shunsuke was a man of that power, it could be, as the guild master had only heard good of him so far.

''It's good that something can take care of a man, makes life more easier.'' Elijah took another sip of his draink, before turning his attention back to the man next to him. ''I've always wondered about this, while reading reports and files on the members of Basilisk Fang, as to why they decided to join the guild. This place does mark you for life, as a dark mage, as we do oppose the Magic Council and the core principals of this world. So, what i'm leading to is, why, why did you choose Basilisk Fang?''

The Devil Slayer thought to himself for a minute. Why did he choose to join Basilisk Fang, out of the three dark guilds there were? With his skills, he very well could have joined Savage Skull or Tartarus. However, there was something about the snake-branded guild that caught his sharp eye.

Their goal was to create a new society, a new world, perhaps.

The way they would be able to do that is by impeaching the Magic Council, the governing power of Magic in Fiore. By doing this, Basilisk Fang would be free to do whatever they wanted with the country.

Shunsuke then remembered who the Magic Council was, and what they had done to the Kato clan, several hundred years earlier.

"My clan, my family, the few people whom I actually loved; they were sold into destruction by those who are called by the Magic Council. Perhaps I would have kept my silence if they were instead forced into slavery, but the vile government decided that they were too 'dangerous' to allow to live. From what I know, I'm one of the few, if not the only remaining survivor of that day when they sent the Rune Knights to exterminate them. I suppose it's expected of mere humans, I guess."

"I suppose it is only to be expected. You have my pity. There is no such thing as 'truth' or 'lies' in this world; there never has been. There is only plain, hard facts. And yet, all beings who exist in this world take only those 'facts' that are convenient to them, and take them to be the 'truth'. They do so because they know no other way to live. However, for those powerless beings that make up the majority of this world it is those 'facts' that are inconvenient for their own self-affirmation that make up the real 'truth'."

    Sousuke Aizen

"Since that day, I have grown increasingly determined to absolutely destroy the Magic Council to the point where I realized that I couldn't do it all by myself. I needed people who were like me, who knew the unending tyranny of the Magic Council, who had the same goal as me. People who wanted to create a new society. A new society that isn't governed by idiots! I very well could have joined Savage Skull, however, from what I know, they live only for destruction, and I wanted to take the path that involved the least of such. Tartarus, it's very secluded, you almost never know what's going on in there."

""I've never really liked to use the terms "dark wizard" or "dark guild". The reason why such terms exist is because society, this current society that we are condemned by, it's ruled by minorities! From the many years of my life, I've learned but one seriously important thing: There are no truth, nor are there lies. There are just cold, hard facts. And the people of this world, they only take the facts that are convenient to them, and dismiss all the others. You see, it's not people like us that are in the wrong; it's this world that's become too lenient and passive towards fools. I fully intend to change all of that. We share a common goal. By the time that we succeed, we will be the ones who will be taking our rightful places at the top of the 'food chain'."
