    Job Description:

    Ricril woke up early that morning tired but mostly excited today was the day,he thought to himself as he stretched and slowly rubbed his eyes today was the day of his first job, sure it wasn't a difficult job like going out and saving a village or anything but people needed help with little things.....like teaching recruits about magic, in a world filled with magic how do you not know anything about it. He shook his head lowly "maybe it would be easier to try and save a village" he couldn't help but laugh at himself. How was he going to teach someone that was probably as old as him about magic, I mean it would be easy for kids but seriously adults don't know anything about magic and they want to be rune knights soldiers of the magic council, oh the irony he thought.

    Lucky for Ricril he had bought some books to read on the way to Era, he hoped none of the magic council would watch any of his lessons they shouldn't right? Ricril knocked that thought out of his head why would the council watch he's a new mage training grown men who live in a world magic who know nothing of magic. He sighed and opened his first book "How to learn magic for dummies", "why does this book even exist"he sighed and hoped no one was watching him read this embarrassing book.

    He hopped off the train only two hours later arriving in Era, so glad to be off that dumb train and be done reading that dumb book now on to teaching those dumb "knights" about magic. He wasn't even 5 steps away from the train when a very decorated knight accompanied by two lesser knights. The decorate knight didn't look to be wielding any weapon of the sort, that Ricril could see, the two lesser knights seemed to each have their own polearm. As long as the polearms weren't pointed at him this was a good start so far he thought to himself while trying not to look scared. All three knights approached him the decorated knight always three steps ahead of the lesser knights. The knight looked Ricril up and down, slowly extending his hand as to shake Ricril's hand, Ricril grasped the decorated knights hand firmly. The knight smiled"You must be the mage we were told about who accepted our job, Ricril Pegason was it? I'm knight commander Kiren Quoi glad to meet you, follow me and I'll take you to meet the sorry saps who are in dire need of your help".Ricril like this knight commander more and more already he quickly grabbed his bag and chased after the commander.

    A few minutes of silent walking go by with the knight commander and his guards before Ricril finally decides to break the silence and ask the question that he's been thinking to himself this whole time "Uhh knight commander Kiren"? The knight commander stops walking and looks back at Ricril Yes? And just call me Kiren. he says with a smile. Ricril can't help but smile back this guy is way to nice to be the knight commander "Uhh if you don't mind me asking how do these recruits not know anything about magic, and why do they want to by rune knights, and for that matter why would you let them be if they even don't know the first thing of magic. Please forgive my candor. Kiren looks at Ricril very sternly making Ricril think he overstepped his boundries, but then Kiren just bursts out laughing, while his two guards let out a small chuckle too. He turns to one of his guards "I knew I would like this guy! But the answer to your question is there are some people who don't know about magic, there's some countries, and cities out there were magic isn't used like you or i use them. People from those countries and cities sometimes move here to learn about it or just to start a new life, as to why we recruited these people is very simple we don't get as many recruits as we used to. Everyone now a days want to be mages and join a guild so we need all the help we can get to deal with rogue mages and keep the magic council well protected. Does that answer your question Ricril just nodded that's probably why he's the knight commander, knowledgeable and open-minded not everyone likes that and he even had a sense of humor.

    After an hour walk from the train station they arrived at the rune knights garrison...it honestly looked like just one big school with a big playground, if you count a obstacle course as a playground, in Ricril's childhood obstacle courses were playgrounds. Kiren walked inside with Ricril the two guards seemed to have disappeared probably to go train or back to the barracks. Kiren and Ricril are just walking down a long hallway that seems to go on forever until they finally reach an open door room. Kiren stops and looks back at Ricril, "This is your classroom, remember you are the teacher or drill sergeant whichever you like, you are in charge in there. You can do whatever you like to make sure they understand magic, just don't kill them new recruits are so hard to come by. Kiren smiles again before walking into the classroom and introducing you to the recruits, Alright maggots! Since you sorry wimps don't know the first thing about magic we had to go and higher a tutor! You will give your full attention to Ricril Pegason, until I think you can finally comprehend! If not you will be running the obstacle course until your legs can no longer move. Understood! "Sir! Yes! Sir!"Shouted all the recruits as Kiren saluted them before leaving. They sat down as soon as Kiren left and as Ricril stood at the front of the room.

    Ricril had no clue how to teach someone about magic, what to do what to dohe thought to himself while observing his students, luckily it wasn't a large class not even a class really there were just three students all looking about the same age probably in there late teens early adulthood. Probably no older than eighteen, One women and two guys none looked related. He finally came to the decision that he would first get to know these students and figure out why they know nothing about magic. He leans back against the desk, "Alright, as you all heard my name is Ricril, or Ricril Pegason is my full name and I thought we would start with introductions, where you are from, what city or country or town or village. He looks around and no one looks eager enough to introduce themselves "This is a little sad you all are going to be in the same unit or squad or whatever or at least training together might as well talk. I'll continue my introduction like I said I'm Ricril Pegason, I'm a wizard in the guild of Eclipse Soul, originally from Earthland of the country of Desierto". Now will someone else please go!

    The women recruit stands up first who honestly reminds him of his twin sister, even though she's a knight she has long golden hair, has a decent amount of make up on and her clothes look to be a little silkish to be wearing as a recruit. It's not her she wouldn't haven even given him a chance to talk he thought stopping himself before he just leapt at the woman. She looks nervously at both of her fellow comrades, "Umm my name is Elre Thilsar and I'm from the peace village". She quietly sits back down just as both of the male recruits stand up the at the exact same time, they look at each other and the older male decides to speak first while the younger one just stands there. I am Al Thaltar and the other man standing up is Aran Thaltar we are Twin brothers who come from the neutral city.They both sit down at the same time grinning at each other okay either they've practiced getting up and sitting down at the same time or they've done it so often that it's become amusingRircril smiles "Alright now we're getting some where"!

    Ricril sighes and looks around well we got the hard part out of the way, well introductions have never been my favorite thing he thought to himself he also had a feeling since Elre was some village that he had never knew of and the twins were from the neutral city he had a feeling that they really had no clue what magic was. "Alright do any of you know anything about magic, it's history what makes a wizards magic his special own magic? Anything at all"? All three of the knights look down at their feet "Hey don't get down, most of you were either in a area that doesn't use magic or an area that has very little magic! But that's why I'm here to teach you all I know! We'll first start with the history! Ricril sounded probably more excited about the history lesson and he could tell the recruits weren't nearly as excited as he was but they would have to power through it.

    "Alright so magic has been around for centuries, it came from what most people to be the one true magic" before Ricril can go on Elre speaks up "Uhh Excuse me Mr. Pegason, what is the one true magic?" Ricril can't help but smile apparently some one is more interested than he thought "Alright the one true magic is what most people believe to be the source of which our magic came from, and all other magic is descended from it there are some people who believe other things. Like love is what powers magic which is one theory not a strong one that I believe in but some people just take wild swings at things hoping that they will stick. Unlike today where magic is used in everything and in every way, in the beginning it wasn't like that, magic was actually oppressed and feared but as they studied it and began to learn to control it, it was no longer oppressed and like i said is now used in everything. You can walk into any store and buy something magical, alright for right now lets take a fifteen minute break and when you get back we will get into how magic is used and it's classifications". The recruits get up and stretch there legs and walk out the door while Ricril just sits down and meditates waiting for them to come back.

    Just as the fifteen minutes go by all three recruits walk back in, that's the one thing he liked about military people always on point. Ricril slowly gets up from his meditation "Welcome back everyone! Alright onto magic usage to use magic you must concentrate on your magic power and train your mind and spirit to make your magic stronger. If you lack on your training in any sort of way the magic can consume you and destroy you! I have seen this you do not want to see this happen to anyone even enemies it's a worth fate than death. Now you all may think all this power at people's hands how come the world isn't in turmoil. Well there is a thing that is called taboo and those are the magic worlds set of rules which you can never break or there will be dire consequences. Now on to the last thing magic classification, there are two types of main magic classifications Caster magic and Holder magic. Both are self explanatory really but I'm still going to explain them, Caster magic is magic that comes from the caster themselves. Holder on the other hand the wizard uses a magic object to cast their magic this could either be a wand or a key really anything that the caster that can channel their magic through.Ricril feeling confident in his lecture is about to go get Kiren to quiz them when Aran speaks up "What kind of magic do you use and can we see it?Ricril stops and turns around "Well let's see if you can figure out what magic I use from the lesson"?Ricril takes one of the desks and points it away from everyone and making sure no one is in range of anything. "Alright get ready"![/] He casts his hands to the floor and shouts [i]"Quicksand floor!" He feels the floor below his hands feel like wet sinking snad as the desk slowly slides half way into the floor. Just as he lifts his hands off the floor the floor turns back to it's normal hard self with the desk half stuck in it. Well he could've thought that through a little better. The recruits look at him in shock Eire slowly raises her hand Uhhh do you use caster magic?Ricril smiles widely "That is correct I use sand maker magic, i can use my magic to form objects or bend inanimate objects to my will". Now I'll go get Kiren, he runs out quickly to get the knight commander.

    Ricril was running around the barracks in what felt like hours but was probably only ten minutes, until he finally found Kiren in what looked like a very big well decorated office Ricril couldn't help get lost in all the glory of Kiren's office before Kiren actually snapped him out of it. "I assume you didn't come here to bask in my office's glory, how can i help you Ricril?Ricril shakes his head to get out of his own trance "Oh yes of course sorry, I'm done with my lecture for the recruits if you want you can come test them yourself"! Kiren laughs "Oh I plan to test them, but first what was that loud noise you didn't hurt them too bad did you?Ricril bows his head and rubs the back of his head "Oh that you see they wanted to see my magic sooo I may have got a desk stuck in your floor now.....sorry". Kiren lets out another burst of laughter "I did say do whatever you felt was necessary don't even worry about the desk, we have plenty now lets go test your students!"

    After a few minutes of walking back to the classroom Kiren once again turns into the knight commander that Ricril saw before he started his class "Alright maggots, time to see what you've learned impress me"! Eire stands up first "Knight commander there are two main types of magics Caster and Holder magic. Caster magic is when the user casts the magic from himself and holder magic is when a user has a magic item that they use to cast their magic".Kiren smiles and nods and Eire sits down, Next Al stands up and surprisingly his brother doesn't either it was just a coincidence the first time or they don't joke around the knight commander. "To train to make themselves stronger they train both their mind and spirit, if they lack in training the magic will consume and destroy the wizards".Kiren smiles and nods again and Al sits down, this time Aran stands up. "The magic world does have rules. The word for these rules are Taboo, if these rules are broken there will be dire consequences.Kiren once again smiles and nods, "Well done recruits I think I and Ricril that you guys have passed in flying colors and you are dismissed head to the mess hall to celebrate"!All three cheer salute the commander, bow to Ricril and then run out. Kiren looks at the desk Ricril was talking about and lets out a small chuckle. "You weren't kidding about the desk, like i said don't worry about it, you did a fantastic job. Here's your pay! Do you need an escort back to the train? Ricril smiles "No thanks to the escort, but thank you for offering and for the pay". Kiren shakes Ricril's hand and thanks him once more outside the knights barracks and Ricril heads back to the train station.
