Hakumi watched as Enola knocked the door, searching for a way to enter the tomb. She figured that Enola was trying to make sure that there were not any traps, mainly because knocking on a tomb to see if anyone was there would be dumb considering the situation they were in, but she wasn't entirely sure why, but she didn't dwell on the thought for too long. She saw ENola attempt to push the door open, so she pushed right along with her. She assumed that if it did open that way, it'd take someone strong, or more than one person. Their efforts proved to be worthless, as the door didn't budge not an inch.

"Key? I don't think so. I don't think that there would be a key for giant solid door. Maybe there's an alternate entrance... maybe..." Hakumi suddenly began touching the door, trying to see if there was a certain spot that they needed to get the door open, but before she could actually find it, the echoing voice of a large man. Not large in weight, but large in height.

Hakumi slowly turned around, facing the man with a spooked look on her face. The sudden emergence of his voice frightened her, but things like that normally did. "Well, what if I didn't want to know your name in the first place?" She asked the man. She stood firmly in one place, trying not to seem frightened, which she really wasn't, though she wasn't really up for fighting.

With that, the man began to form swords with his crystal-make magic. He vaulted at Hakumi pushing his sword toward her. Hakumi quickly vaulted to the side, avoiding contact with the sword. "Are you sure we can't talk this out?" She said, brushing off some of the dirt that had gotten on her and clearing her throat.

Enola could not stand the rudeness of refusing to introduce oneself. She felt it was necessary to give a formal introduction with every new meeting; she herself would curtsy and give her own name each time she met a new person. Even her companion, Hakumi, felt off-put by the man’s rudeness. One thing was for sure, they were going to need to teach the man some manners.

The maid jumped out of the way, allowing Hakumi to get out of the way herself as the man plunged his sword forward. He had made his own sword from crystal, signifying his status as a make-magic mage. On top of refusing to give his name, he even tried to kill a friend, which was just rude (or as one famous scholar would put it, “r00d.”).

The maid curtsied and stated, “Well, Ms. Crystal Man, I am Ms. Enola Gay and this is Ms. Hakumi Nazu and we will apparently be teaching you proper etiquette.”

With that, the maid plucked the feather duster from her waist and released it into a spear as she had with Diamond and Emerald. The fresh but somewhat dried blood of emerald still covered the spear, a painful reminder to past evils. She held up her spear and charged toward the man. What happened next was most unexpected: the man slammed his crystal sword down and snapped the spear in half, breaking it as it had been before. He finished it be slamming the heel of his foot into her chest, sending her flying back. He then held up his sword, pointing it into the air and began channeling magic power into it. The sword glowed with a pink aura before splintering into hundreds of tiny crystal shards that went flying in every direction. He hoped the wave of crystal shards would be enough to end the battle quickly.

As she collected herself, Hakumi could tell that the man's bad manors had bothered Enola, as she was a woman that only used proper etiquette, which was something Hakumi had admired her for. Just as it had bothered Enola, the man's r00dness had also rubbed Hakumi the wrong way, but she didn't want to attack first, and she also felt that attacking first was always a bad decision, though she had found herself in many situations that required her to make the first move, but she didn't plan to in this situation, it was too late for her to anyway, as the man had already attacked them.

As this famous scholar put it, the man was too "r00d" for Enola, so Hakumi watched as the maid took the liberty of introducing herself and Hakumi to the man, who had yet to tell them his name. As Enola readied her attack, Hakumi readied her own attack as well. She slowly formed water spheres around her, trying not to alert the man of what she was doing, which was the the opposite of Enola's approach. Enola had been straightforward with her attack, which ultimately resulted in it failing.

As Enola had gotten kicked back, Hakumi had been right there to catch her. With her now fully formed water spheres, she blocked the vital areas of both her own, and Enola's body from the mans crystal shards. "Sorry to disappoint you, but we won't be dying today!' Hakumi said. Her knees wobbling, as they were covered in crystal shards, which was in fact very painful. HAkumi then slowly fell to the ground. Her legs weren't strong enough to hold her up after the damage she had taken, so naturally, gravity did what it does best, and it took her right down. She groaned as she lie there on the floor, keeping the water spheres around her in an attempt to shield her from his attacks.

A wave of relief went through Enola as she fell back into Hakumi’s arms. The marvelous magic that belonged to Hakumi produced a great work of water spheres, each as strong as steel if not stronger. They proved their worth by blocking Enola and Hakumi from any strikes too lethal. The crystal shards that hit the water spheres bounced off while the rest shredded through Hakumi and Enola’s clothing, digging into their flesh and forcing small bits of blood to leak from all over their bodies. With a final verbal middle finger, Hakumi fell to the ground. She had certainly earned it after that moment of heroism.

The man frowned, disappointment painting his face. He had spent his crystal sword in that attack and had hoped he would not need it anymore, but the feisty water mage proved him wrong. With a cold determination to kill the two before any more embarrassing moments were to be had, he walked toward them slowly and with a treasure hunter swagger. He did not care to do any flashy moves as the others before him might have done. He was cool and serious about his task. He had to murder Hakumi Nazu and Enola Gay before things got any more out of hand.

He channeled crystal gauntlets around his large, rough hands and stared down at the water spheres as if they were a joke before slamming his fists into any of the spheres that stood in his way, bursting them into water with little to no effort. Enola looked in horror as the battles appeared to be taking a turn for the worse. In a complete state of panic, Enola formed a dust ball in her hand that took the shape of a mighty dust angel that stood at nine feet tall. Hoping to push him back, Enola sent the dust angel at the man and the two clashed together. The man swung both his fists at the angel who managed to catch the punches with its own hands. The man was now completely vulnerable for an attack.

Post by Hakumi Nazu 5th July 2015, 11:51 pm

As Hakumi was lying there on the floor, she began to sob a little. The realization that she was little help in the situation depressed her. She had always tried so hard to rid herself of the failure name that she had been given, but the fact that she had been rendered immobile just showed how useless she really was. Her mind began to drift off to previous events that happened in her life.

It was a stormy night, her master was in the middle of battle, and he was being teamed by an old man and his apprentice. Hakumi, who just like she was before the flashback, was lying on the floor, crying, doing nothing helpful. In the end, her master ended up winning, but he didn't too much like the bad name that Hakumi had given his training methods with her bad performance in the battle, so after the battle, he began to step on her face. "Do you realize what you've done! This is gonna spread! For the first time, one of my apprentices was easily defeated! Get out of here! You're no longer welcome!" He said, spitting on her afterward. Hakumi, who had still been immobile at the time, continued to lay there crying.

Her mind then switched back to the situation at hand. "I-I" She said lightly. "I'm not that girl anymore. I refuse to be that girl!" She pounded on the ground with her fist, and slowly rose. "I've changed! I'm not useless!" She said, launching the remaining water sphere at the man. After that, she then began to cast another spell. A barrier began to appear around the man, along with a giant drill on top. "Water drill!" She stated. With her words, the barrier was completely formed, and so was the drill. The drill began to fall down on the man.

The angel’s arm shook as it struggled to keep a hold of the man’s arms. They were nearly matched but it seemed as if the man were the stronger of the two, an impressive feat to say the least. Enola had a heavy dependence on the angel, using it more almost every battle since learning to create it. The angel’s feet began grinding against the ground as the man pushed it back, leaving long but thin trails of dust as parts of its composition slowly began falling apart from the intense pressure. Just as it seemed as the angel were about to burst, a brilliant prison composed entirely of water formed around the man. The veering rays of sunlight waved through the water prison, causing it to sparkle in one of the magnificent ways Enola had ever seen. A water drill soon followed, and the dust angel took the time to sucker punch the man right in his face.

The man stumbled back and fell. He took a deep breath and grumbled before rising back up with a wobble in his stance. Blood ran down his body as well as several clumps of wet dust from where the dust angel’s fist and water drill had met up.

“I have been made a fool of for the last time.”

The man held his hands together and channeled a large amount of magic power into his hands, forming a large battle battleaxe made completely of crystal. It glistened much like the water prison had and was as sharp as a real battleaxe, if not sharper. It was large enough that most people wouldn’t be able to hold it, let alone wield it competently. The man proved his strength though as he charge and swung the battleaxe down on the dust angel, splitting it and half and destroying Enola’s construct.

As Hakumi was casting her spell, she noticed that the angel was struggling, but she couldn't manage to cast the spell any faster than she had already done. She had never seen seen Enola use the angel before, but by the way she used it, it was clear that she was pretty dependent on the dust creation. From what Hakumi had witnessed, the angel was worthy of Enola's dependence. It had incredible strength, able to hold the man was an incredible feat, something Hakumi would never be able to accomplish with her own physical strength.

As Hakumi witnessed her own attack, she was impressed by what she had accomplished. The overall size of the spell was something that Hakumi had never been able to accomplish before, and she felt pretty . pretty good about herself for that.

When the man fell back, Hakumi cheered a little. She was sure that the fight wasn't over, but the fact that he stumbled showed that they were making progress. After the man fell, Hakumi followed suit. Her legs were still pretty damaged, but after a little thinking, she found a way to get herself out of the predicament she was in. She conjured a mat of water, and drug herself on top of it, using it just as one would a magic carpet.

As the man placed his hands together, Hakumi began to think about her next action. "There are so many possibilities..." She said to herself. "From what I've observed, he likes to make weapons with his magic. If his next object is a weapon, I've got a counter!" Just in case she was correct, Hakumi began to cast another spell. It was one she had used in her previous battle. She began to cast blades of water and rested them around her, waiting for him to attack.

The man grumbled, “I suppose you two have earned my name. I am Nancy, second in command to Harper Goldshire.”

He held up his large battleaxe and dashed forward, kicking up any bits of dust during his battle charge. Enola was the closest one in his way so he instantly set his eyes to splitting her in half (much like he had done with other women). His axe went upward and came straight down on Enola, the gravity acting as a catalyst for more possible, irreversible damage. As the axe was raised, its gloomy shadow cast its frame down on the humble eyes of the maid who felt helpless until she shut her eyes tight. She was not bracing for impact though but instead channeling magic power throughout her whole body and casting the spell that acted as her calling card: Dust to Dust.

The nearly made contact as her body exploded into a large dust cloud. Caught by surprise, Nancy stumbled back once more and swung his arms around to get the dust out of his face. Pieces of the dust had made it into his eyes and mouth, flustering him to no end and leaving him vulnerable. Enola, in the form of a dust cloud, began covering his entire body to keep him preoccupied long enough to allow Hakumi to attack him. The man, in his tantrum, even threw down his crystal battleaxe to the ground as his eyes began bloodshot red with all the dust in it. He eventually just opted out of swinging against the cloud like a moron and just began covering his face with his arms. Clearly, less tangible opponents was one of his weak spots. If dust clouds could chuckle, Enoa would be laughing like a mad hyena outsmarting its poor, dumb prey.

As the man dashed toward Enola, Hakumi was amazed. His speed, the strength of his charge, everything about it was astonishing, though his form was a little off. He was a bit stiff and his arms were too far apart, making the appearance a little strange, but other than that, it was a really nice charge. Hakumi attempted to go over and assist Enola, but her gawking over his charge ruined that thought. Before she could even make it halfway there, the man had already been over to Enola, preparing to attack.

The mans beefy arms lifted up, showing that he was ready to attack Enola. His toned calves and barrel-chest made it seem even more difficult to fight him. How can one fight a person with muscles on top of muscles? Though it seemed like they had done nothing, they had really done a lot. The man was getting tired and impatient, which was evident as the man was quick to start attacking once more.

As Enola went poof, Hakumi sure that the action was a signal for her to attack. She lead the mat of water that she had been resting on toward the man, giggling a little at his actions. The man looked quite silly, mainly because of his size. Hakumi had that kind of humor. The kind of humor where things that are seemingly unfunny, are actually quite amusing, just like the man's display. His arms were wailing, causing him to clench his muscles, which may have proven difficult for Hakumi. The man was buff enough, she didn't need more muscle to get in the way of her attacks.

With a sense of urgency, she rushed toward Nancy. The opportunity to attack wouldn't last forever, and she had to make the most of the moment that she had, so swiftly but powerfully, she swung all of her blades of water at him, not sure if any had done any damage.

As Hakumi brought her trademark water blades out on to the playing field, Enola kept up her work of confusing Nancy to give her companion the right opening she was looking for. In order to avoid the damage of the water blades herself, Enola (as a dust cloud) moved behind Nancy just as Hakumi was about to reach him and shifted back into her physical form. However, as she regained her physical form, her body and clothes had the appearance of grey dust and were cracked all over as if she might fall apart at any moment. The side effect of her magic truly made her horrendous to look at sometimes. Thankfully, the maid who was fanatically about looking prim and proper did not have a mere a thand to look and see what her own magic did to her; although, the story of when she first saw the effects of her Dust to Dust spell is a whole other story.

The water blades sliced through Nancy’s bulky trench coat and pierced his, splattering several drops of blood across the stone pavement. At the same time, Enola (now in her physical form) slammed her fist into his back, creating a rather impressive combo between the two Leviathans. The man grumbled in pain and fell over to his side. He mumbled several swear words and gasped for breath. He seemed quite beat, a realistic reaction given the can of whoop-ass that Enola and Hakumi had just opened on him. Nancy still had some fight in him though; he reached out with his large, manly hand and grabbed Hakumi’s ankle. He looked up at her, his eyes squinting from the burning they received from the dust cloud earlier. It brought him no joy for him to be beat by the two, his pride wounded beyond repair.

After her attack was executed, her doubt that it had any effect on him went away. She was sure that she had done some damage. She felt her blades slice through something, and was she was sure that it hurt him. As Enola slammed her fists into his back, Hakumi was surprised at how well they had worked together. They had never really done anything like this before, but then again, there's a first time for everything. She was pleased with the way they handled themselves in the situation. She felt that she proved, to not only her teammate, but to herself, that she isn't a failure. That she can always be useful in some way even if it's not the way she expected.

When the dust was fully cleared, and Hakumi finally got a chance to take a look at Enola, her appearance was shocking. That wasn't teh Enola that she was used to seeing. Everything was gray, and there were cracks all over her. Hakumi was sure that Enola was aware, so she felt it best not to speak of what she had seen. The maid was already OCD about keeping everything nice and tidy, she felt her speaking of Enola's appearance at teh time would only make it worse.

As teh man grabbed her ankle, Hakumi tried using her mat to get away, but it was to no avail. The man's grip was too tight, and her magic was not strong enough. She pulled and pulled, untill finally she got her wits about her. With the water blades that remained, she sliced at his hand, loosening his grip and helping her escape.

Since she felt that she was running out of Magical Power, she decided that it was best for her to stop all of her active spells. Seeing that Nancy had not lost his fighting spirit, Hakumi walked over to him, and kicked him in the groin, hoping that he would not get up after.

The maid cringed as Hakumi’s shoes met the surface of the man’s groin, generating a pain-filled scream from Nancy who coincidently hit the high note. Enola poked the man with her foot, checking to see if he was going to get back up but he was completely silent. Enola and Hakumi had won. If they were in a game show, cliché champion music might have been playing at that exact moment. Enola followed her friend’s lead and ceased channeling magic power throughout her body, causing her body and clothes to return to normal. Her skin and clothes were no longer as grey as dust, and they no longer bore any cracks in them. A sense of relief came upon the maid as it seemed they, as a team, were invincible. The feeling of no longer exasperating insane amounts of energy was nice too.

Enola walked up to Hakumi and placed one of her gloved hands on the water mage’s shoulder. With gasps of air escaping her mouth, the maid congratulated her friend with, “It was touch and go there for a while, but I think we make a great team. Wouldn’t you agree?” The corners of her mouth perked into a smile before she retracted her hand and returned to the vault’s door. She studied it once more and looked for something else that might help them get inside. That’s when a very peculiar key hole caught her attention.

“Ms. Nazu, dear, would you mind checking Mr. Nancy for a key?”

She might have checked for a key herself, but she honestly did not want to touch the man. He appeared to be passed out though, leaving any chance of danger out of the question. The maid simply did not want to get herself anymore dirty than she already had in their little adventure.

Hakumi understood Her teammates cringe. Getting hit in the groin would be painful to anyone, which was a good thing in this case. It ended the fight and enabled the two leviathans to move on with their quest. If Hakumi was being completely honest with herself, she cringed at the thought of even doing what she had done, but it is what needed to be done to end the conflict.

Hakumi noticed when Enola reverted back to her normal form, which was a relief. The risk of her seeing her own reflection was definitely there. Where there is a tomb, there is treasure, and treasures may include things such as mirrors, and Enola getting her hands on one was the last thing they needed when she was in her dust form. The cracks would have driven her insane! this is something that Hakumi knew for a fact, though she wasn't usually the type of person to speak for others.

"Well, get Leviathans together, and something great is bound to happen!" She said, giggling a bit afterward. She then turned toward the door, seeming a bit sluggish, as her legs were not fully healed. "Why didn't I take the time to learn that healing spell?" She said to herself. A healing spell would have been really useful in the situation, even though they managed to get out of it alright.

"No problem." She said to her teammate that had asked her a question. She searched the mans body, and found two bottles filled with a strange liquid in it. She hadn't alerted Enola, however. SHe felt that it wasn't yet important. As she was searching the man, she found a small cube. She piced it up, and noticed a cube in front of the entrance. She placed teh cube inside the hole, and watched as the entrance of teh tomb opened.

Enola looked down at the two tubes of liquid and plucked one from her teammate’s hand. Without putting too much thought into it, the maid popped the cap of the tube off and took a whiff of the scent. It smelled sweet but had the familiar scent of milk. She took another whiff and shrugged before chugging down the strange liquid in one go.

Enola blinked and smiled almost manically before laughing, “Wow! This stuff is great! Ms. Nazu, you must try this!”

The strange substance – lacrima milk – was like a drug of sweetness playing with her endorphins. Her face looked much more lively than it should have been after a tough battle such as that one.

The strange cube that Hakumi had acquisitioned from Nancy popped right into the square hole, causing the door to rumble ferociously. The entire area seemed to shake as if an earthquake were taking place. The large, stone door then slowly unclasped from its holdings and lowered down, huffing up dust and dirt as it lowered into the ground and revealed a dark tunnel.

    “Oh my…”

Enola peaked her head in; it was almost entirely dark save for the large amount of fireflies that filled the long chamber. The maid retracted her head and stared out to make sure no one was watching them.

“I suppose this is the vault.”

Enola ducked inside and lead the way. The maid felt the hallway leading them toward the end could booby-trapped but the walk seemed rather safe, almost calm. There was, however, a strange odor that filled the room. It had the smell of time, decades of having no fresh air had entered the vault, and it seemed to make the air rather stuffy and hard to breathe. The two Leviathan mages were stronger than that though; they would just have to suck it up.

The Rarest Gem | Job | Enola, Hakumi - Page 2 Empty Re: The Rarest Gem | Job | Enola, Hakumi

As Enola plucked the tube from her hand, Hakumi was curious as to what the maid had planned. Well, there wasn't much that one could do with a liquid substance that they knew nothing about, if they were cautious that is. As her teammate sniffed the milky liquid, Hakumi figured that it was best if she did the same. So, just to be safe, Hakumi popped the cap off of the milk, and took a few short sniffs. It certainly wasn't like anything she had smelled before. It smelled like a bunch of strength enhancing drugs that had been grinded down and had a reaction to the milk. Hakumi wasn't sure of what would happen if she were to drink it, but her teammate didn't really hesitate on taking that action.

"Hmmm..." Hakumi said. "Why not?" Hakumi hesitantly put the tube up to her lips, and slowly drank the liquid. "This tastes.... really nice!" She said energetically, feeling her once bruised leg begin to heal. "My body suddenly feels... better! I wonder what this is. I've never seen anything like it before."

Hakumi then turned to the now Open tomb. It was time to finally accomplish their goal. Their entire reason for coming to those Ancient Ruins. She placed one foot inside, and began to trot forward behind Enola. The smell of the tomb certainly matched it's name "ancient". It was clear that time had done it's work on the odor of the tomb, but Hakumi knew better than to let a smell distract her from what was truly important - finding the treasure and ending that awful job. That job was truly one of the most difficult assignments that she had ever been given in her life. That job had been more troublesome than the time she had to fight all of those vegetables. It may sound silly, but it was not an easy task for the level of skill that Hakumi had at the time.

As they neared the end of the tunnel, a bright light shot out at them and struck Enola and Hakumi in the eyes. After allowing her eyes to adjust to the new light, Enola stepped forward and into the blinding light to find herself in a large room with a giant, glowing lacrima crystal in the center. The room was filled with a treasure trove of objects, from armors to weapons. Jewels and jewelry littered the area. It was impossible to imagine how dangerous everything inside could be if it had landed in the hands of the treasure hunters.

“Oh dear, I can see why everyone wanted inside.”

Enola wondered around the room for a bit, allowing the lacrima crystal to guide her way. Eventually, after rummaging around, Enola happened upon a large treasure chest. It was made of wooden but had a metal lock on it to prevent any quick thieves from getting into it.

“Ms. Nazu, come look at this.”

The maid fumbled with the lock until it simply fell to the ground, Father Time having destroyed whatever resistance it once had. She gently placed her hands around the edges of the treasure chest and lifted the opening up with a great heave. Another great light appeared, this time from the inside of the treasure chest. Enola peaked inside and spotted a blue lacrima crystal about the size of her hand. She reached inside and plucked the glowing crystal to show to her friend.

“It’s a lacrima… I’m not sure what it does though. I can’t imagine why they felt the need to place such a tiny thing in a large box.”

She looked around once more before handing the crystal to Hakumi. The maid felt she deserved to plunder her share of the reward and set about to gathering whatever she could carry.

As they were nearing the end of the tunnel, they had suddenly been intercepted by a blinding light. Hakumi didn't have the strongest eyes, so it took her a little longer than Enola to adjust to the brightness that the two had been exposed to. She constantly shut her eyes and opened them shortly after. It was just how she adjusted to big changes in light, though she was more than likely not the only person that did the same.

As she slowly navigated herself through the bright light, she was trying to spot her teammate, but failed until she had finally reached the center, where the real prize was. The tomb had jewels of all kind; rubies, diamonds, emerald's. Everything one could only dream of finding, was right there in that tomb. The leviathan's efforts proved to be worth it, as their reward would surely be a hefty one.

"As do I." Hakumi said to Ms.Gay. "This tomb is filled with things I would only dream about!" Hakumi began to throw jewels into the air, admiring their beautiful glow. Her admiration of the jewels ended when she was asked by her teammate to come over. "What is it?" She asked curiously. "Did you find something?" She spotted Enola fondling with a lock until she had finally got inside the chest. When she had finally opened it, the real treasure was certainly inside that chest. "I wonder what kind of lacrima it is." Hakumi said. "The color is exactly the same as the water as i use in my magic. Could it be a water lacrima?"

Hakumi was unsure of what the lacrima was for, but when Enola handed it to her, she was dying to find out. Once Enola had got her fill of treasure, they left the tomb, with the lost saints treasure found, and a reward of their own.
