The ancient ruins; a place that was not exactly to Ayato's interest. This place just looked filthy in the male's opinion, honestly. There was not really anything to compliment from the area aside from the rumoured treasures and historic ruins, of course. Otherwise, the place just looked like a wasteland. Ayato sighed, unable to come up with the right words to describe his surroundings. He was definitely not wearing the right attire for this mission, equipped with a scruffy black jacket overlapping a dark grey shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. Ayato always seemed to look decent his usual apparel- this- but guess what? The atmosphere was very warm, and therefore left Ayato to really take in the heat. Ayato only hoped it would get cloudy later on. Thankfully, he was supposed to be accompanied by three other Mages; one he had done a job with before, and two newcomers to the guild: Akryn and Xierak. Ayato had yet to meet either of the newcomers.

Ayato could not travel too far, obviously, having been the first one here, though he could at least look around. His finger was on his lips in curiosity while he lightly strolled around. In his other hand was the mission profile, which seemed more labelled than any other job Ayato had been on before. If the worst case scenario came out on this mission, the four were going to face the greatest quantity of enemies Ayato had ever encountered. There were many from his job with Plant Demons, though these enemies were born and raised animate. By the descriptions, they did not seem to care much about the aftermath of people who got in their way; dead or alive, in other words. Albeit, there was not a fat chance in Ayato's mind that he and the other three assigned to this job would not return. As always, this job would be a success, and nothing to regret. Ayato felt a lot more power present in his soul lately, so he was more than prepared to kick some butt. Heck, he would've called dibs on the front lines if he knew everyone coming this way. He had yet to be in full view of the ruins, though Ayato knew once he was there with the other three, a whole new adventure would start. Whether it would be exciting or stressful was up to the group, though all Ayato cared about personally was getting the job done.

While Ayato was already slowly walking into the ruins and exploring the area a shadow followed him, a shadow with wings and some internal struggle which it wasn't really used to.

Normally Akeya had a very firm grip on herself and little interest in any job besides completing it efficiently and quickly. While she left her village to explore the world she held the belief that jobs were not the right time to get absorbed by whatever new you might encounter. Those who did let themselves get distracted usually only received a certain amount of irritation from the half dragon.

So the fact that she now was distracted by the contents of the job rather than focused on completing it bothered her a lot more than she had expected it to. The location wasn't the problem: the ruins could hold valuable knowledge and information, but she had been here before, and like back then she could keep her thirst for knowledge in check. It wasn't the possible opponents either: there were apparently at least two mages they might have to deal with, both known for being quite powerful and possessing impressive skill sets. However that still wasn't enough to trouble Akeya, although the fact that their opponents were worthy of notice had been enough to make her stealthily make her way to the ruins rather than just flying there as she would normally have done.

The problem was what they were supposed to retrieve on the job. Akeya always preferred aesthetic value over monetary value. However the moment she heard of there being a secret treasure vault filled with powerful artefacts something inside her went click. Personally she blamed the dragon blood and stories about dragons lying atop giants hoards. However whatever the cause was, she was having trouble shaking off the thought of the hoard. There was something hypnotic about there being a pile of shiny objects, just begging to be slept upon...

Growling to herself Akeya once more attempted to focus on the job. She wouldn't be alone on this job: three others of the guild would be joining her, one of them being the swordsman she was following right now. He was also the only one she had gone on a job with before, so she knew that he at least was capable enough not to worry about him causing trouble. The other two she also had met before, but yet to see what they were truly capable of. However the four of them were supposedly grouped together because all four of them were good at fighting up close. She wouldn't allow herself to end up being the weak link because some story about dragons always having a hoard stuck inside her head.

Deciding that she had tailed her companion for long enough Akeya stepped out of the shadows, immediately becoming a lot more visible as she coughed politely to announce her presence to Ayato. No reason to scare him by just appearing right next to him. Some might find that amusing, but it could easily lead to some kind of accident. Once she had the swordsman's attention Akeya approached him, nodding as greeting before looking around.

"Greetings. Seen any sign of the others yet?"

Xierak was trying to walk as quietly as possible through the forest that bordered the Ancient Ruins, he was out here to do a job with Akryn… and two other members of the Guild he recently joined. His massive frame was covered in robes as he usually does when he is out and about. He adjusted his tail around his waste, being sure to not rustle his robes as he did this, as he was now standing on the edge of the forest and he could clearly smell and see the two people he assumed to be the members of Blue Pegasus, infact one of them he recognized from the day when Xierak arrived with the others at Blue Pegasus. He paused for a moment, reaching up with his right hand he fiddled with his Graviton Necklace, a sign that if you knew him, would tell you he is nervous.

He wasn’t nervous about the job, or the unfamiliar faces, it was a feeling… that he had been here before, but to his living memory, he had never traveled here ever since he was freed from Sin. Xierak stood a moment then shook his head to rid the feeling from himself, he then looked at a fallen tree to his right and hefted it onto his shoulder, it was at one time, an old oak that was atleast three feet thick, yet he had no issue carrying the massive log. I can use this for a weapon if needed… He then turned, being careful not to hit anything unessary with the tree, and walked out of the forest and toward the two other Blue Pegasus members. As he approached, he took on his disguised voice of a man with a sore throat and quietly spoke up, “Good Afternoon… Sorry if I am late…”

Even as Xierak spoke, Akryn would walk up behind him and reach up for the hood, jumping to do so, tugging irritably on the side of it as he passed. "Lose the hood Spike. If we wanna work with these guys, we have to trust them, and vice versa." he said before turning to the other two and bowing slightly, his right arm resting on the hilt of his sword, the hilts of seven other blades showing over his shoulders, and his red glove firmly in place. Akryn wore his usual job gear today, his padded, leather jacket and pants mainly, and he looked to be in a rather sour mood. Like all of the others here, he had his own reasons for volunteering for this job when he had heard about it. He had actually volunteered, asked for his assignment to this group, looking for this chance. One of his ancestors had been a wizard saint, according to old family stories anyway. Stories he was truly hoping were true. Those same stories said that that wizard had been able to cut mountains in half with the power held within his sword. As far a stretch as it might be, the simple fact that this place existed gave him hope. The problem however, was Harper Goldenshine. Akryn knew the man. He was the same man Akryn had seen when he was younger, selling items within the old scorpion tail guildhall. And after a lot of digging, Akryn fully suspected the man was still in contact with the old guild, and Akryn wanted that information, far more than he ever wanted the sword, the jewels, or anything else here. He wanted Harper. "Gentlemen, lady. Shall we?" he asked, moving past them, towards the ruins with a purpose. Akryn was on the hunt, and woe to anyone who got in his way.

    The Mission Begins

"Akeya, nice to know you shall be accompanying me a second time." Ayato remarked. He saw no sign of others the moment she arrived, yet he knew how Akeya liked to cut right down to the chase most of the time. In fact, that was how the two managed to complete their last task so quickly. However, things would be much different in this mission. There were bigger threats, more events to look forward to, and a bigger landscape to discover. Ayato arrived with many plans, should the rest of the group trust him to be the planner. Of course, Ayato would not mind if the scenario was different. Honestly, he only wished to be a supporter, and nothing more. He did not imagine himself on the front lines-- the ones who would deal with the monsters--nor the leader: somebody who would guide the rest of the group to every other part of the mission entailed on the profile.

Next, someone new to Ayato's eyes appeared. As far as Ayato was aware of, this person particularly was new to the guild, and much history behind him was unknown, unlike most other members in the guild. His power could not be put under proper definition just as Ayato's couldn't either, which truthfully intrigued him. "In no way are you late, sir..." Ayato commented, "As long as it does not hit dusk by the end of the mission, we are fine; it is early in the afternoon as we speak." Ayato looked even further ahead using his Ring of Yin after he spoke with this next fellow guild member, and witnessed the final guild member approaching.

"Indeed we shall." Ayato responded to the last member, Akryn; the man with the peculiar introduction, "On the contrary, we should plan who takes what position first. If we all approach in a single group, I'm afraid we will be disorganized if our profiled enemies are skilled with long-distance attacks. Should we split up, however, not only will we have more advantage against these long-range attacks, but we will also have a bigger chance at obtaining our goal, as someone will find it first, then call the rest to come and deal with their threats." Ayato scrolled through the list of plans in his head, then pointed to Akryn. "How would you like to be our leader for the mission?" Ayato asked, "I have heard about some of your history, and you were part of your former guild for quite a long time. Perhaps this would have given you more expertise with leadership qualities for your younger, old guild members, so I recommend giving you the chance to lead us. Does anyone object?" While Ayato awaited a response from this offer, he pointed to Akeya next.

"Akeya, I feel its best to have you on the front lines. As I witnessed from our last task together, you seemed to be quite skillful with offensive maneuvers, specifically, so I trust you can do the same with the enemies that should appear eventually." This was probably a more reasonable approach than the offer Ayato gave Akryn, though regardless, he moved onto Xierak. "Now it is between us two, sir." Ayato concluded, "Unfortunately I am not aware of you from the guild's history, but I have an idea why. You are like me, and like to keep a lot about you private, don't you? So, how would you like to work this situation out? I will just place myself as a supporter unless any of you want me on the front lines." This was all Ayato had to say, honestly. It was just like his first situation with Akeya. He knew nothing about her until the moment she sprung into action at the Clover Town Train Station. From that point onwards, he learned quite a bit about her. He hoped the same would happen with these other two, though it would have to be to their discretion. Though Ayato seemed like a leader right now, planning everything out, he was only giving out suggestions. Like hell he would want to be the leader, anyway. He was close to the bottom of his guild's hierarchy, so he was unconfident about leading a group of intimidating figures such as the ones surrounding.

Post by Akeya 7th March 2015, 10:59 am

Akeya only nodded in response to Ayato, taking the fact that he didn't answer her question as a negative. Which didn't really surprise her. While waiting for the other two the arrive she silently looked at their surroundings, trying to plan ahead for this mission. There was a hoard -no, do not think about that!- there was something hidden in these ruins, and they had to find it. They also had to get rid off a group of treasure hunters after the same thing. Said thing was pretty big, but in ruins like these it could be anywhere. It would probably be better to try and find those other hunters and beat them down before asking them for any clues.

When Xierak arrived Akeya quickly nodded at him, the half dragon still not mentioning that his attempt at hiding his nature wasn't really working for her. She had met him before, as he and his friends entered the Guild, and just like back then he was trying his best not to get too much attention. Which Akeya could understand to some extend. Although if he didn't want to be the centre of attention he probably shouldn't just grab a tree and treat it like a club. While Akeya knew that he wasn't a human she didn't knew what he was, but it was very clearly something very strong.

After that the last member of their group arrived, one who had been with Xierak when they joined Blue Pegasus. This man honestly looked the most normal out of the four of them, even Ayato being a bit more outlandish with his outfit. It was quite interesting how he once again went in front without even a second thought. He either was just impatient by nature or he was used to being the one leading others. Although who would try to call a half dragon 'lady'...

Once Ayato started speaking Akeya focused on him, listening to what he had to say with her usual intensity. From what she had seen so far this swordsman was somebody worth paying attention to, although strangely enough even though he was the one who was laying out the plans he wanted to take a minor role himself. Humbleness, discomfort or a more complex motivation? Well, the winged ninja still spoke up when Ayato laid out his plans.

"While we should avoid being trapped together we should also not spread apart and abandon each other. Our opponents can be quite dangerous, so we should at least stick close enough that we can help each other when needed."

Her reaction to being assigned at the front was only a simple nod. While her specialization was assassination it was true that her skill set also made her a capable fighter, so it made sense that she would have a job focused on offence. Although if the tree trunk Xierak was carrying was any indication he was an even better fighter than she was, or at least better at contests of raw strength.

Xierak stood there as he suddenly felt something start tugging at his hood in his blind spot. He was about spin around and confront whoever did this when he heard Akryns Voice he held himself back and simply increased the gravity around the edge of the hood to keep it on his head. However, he remained silent shifting the tree only slightly, he then turned his head to look at the member who spoke up, and continued talking for a good while, Xierak listened intently listening to the plan Seitenshi was laying out. Akryn was proposed to be the leader, something he had no issues with. He then listened to the reasoning and the call for Akeya to be on the front lines, during this time Xierak let out a small sound that could have been a chuckle.

That’s when Seitenshi turned to Xierak, which in turn, got Xierak to look back towards the ruins, he heard the questions and the assumption that was made, however he said nothing due to his mistrust of them, although what Akryn had said was true, it was easier said than done for the lumbering mage. After a moment Xierak finally spoke up, keeping with his disguised voice, “I am best suited… in the midst of combat… where I can make the most use of any destruction… and act as soon as I see trouble…” After that Xierak went quiet again, and started to take a few steps towards the ruins before stopping, he then turned to the group once again, “As for the idea of splitting up the group… I don’t think it’s a good idea… best to keep each other where we can see each other… just in case… one of us walks into a trap…” His voice as he said that, had a large levels of mistrust, he was with two people he didn’t know, and unlike it was for the situation with Akryn, he wasn’t going to be easy finding a way to trust them.

Akryn snorted a bit at Seitenshi. Akryn knew the names of most of his new guildmates, he had taken it as a duty to learn about them. "I don't mind leading. But I have taken the liberty of learning about you two and formulating my own plans and opinions. I am a wind mage, and specialize in speed and multi opponent combat, mainly killings. I don't mind blood. Xierak is a gravity user, who specializes in tanking and massive damage. He is slow though, but he can nail his opponents down hard with that necklace of his. Akeya is a dragon slayer, shadow slayer to be specific, who specializes in speed as well. You specialize in swordsmanship and focus your magic on your sword. All of us our melee combatants but only two of us truly focus on speed. I would suggest the two of us work as scouts, out to a limited range. Our speed and abilities will allow us to avoid or escape any traps that may be laid out for us, and we are both skilled enough combatants to hold our own until the others catch up. It will allow us to cover ground more quickly I believe. If there are no objections, then we should start out. Seitenshi and Xierak, stay together, Akeya, report back regularly and make sure we know where you are headed. Lets go." he said, slipping in to the role of the leader rather quickly and easily.

"You're right..." Ayato confessed, "Just be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best." Once Ayato said this, he readied him to be on the move. The four could not just stall here, anyway. There was a time limit on the completion of this mission, and regardless of potential threats and the challenge of finding the treasure, the four had to clear the objective, no matter what. "As the leader states, Akryn and Akeya will be on the front lines, while Xierak and I are supporting." Ayato added, "However, I understand that your magic involves gravity, Xierak, so if you don't mind, I would like you to be the more offensive support, and be distanced from me for a short period of time while the treasure hunters are here." With this, Ayato nodded, and began to move swiftly to the side.

He utilized his Ring of Yin to capture whatever stood 100 meters away. "I see from figures from afar with my ring activated." Ayato commented, "Though I believe they are far too distant from us to be able to go on the attack. This is where your assassination skills could come in handy, Akeya." Ayato looked around, and figured he had quite the team to work with. Somebody who specialized with gravity alongside an assassin would be brilliant. Meanwhile, there was somebody with high intellect like Akryn who would most likely find a way to bypass the enemies, in Ayato's opinion. He hoped the future fight with these hunters would not take long, anyway. This was when he also spotted some ruins overlapping each other. "These ruins seem to be placed to hint the treasure's location." Ayato concluded, "What's your word on this, leader?"

Ayato continued to side so his ring could help him get a better view of the distanced surroundings. There were far too many objects in the way for the two to hunt down the treasure before having the hunters intervene. Ayato clinched his teeth, and knew for sure that a battle would commence shortly, but how soon? He looked over to Akeya, who had worked with him before. She did not even break a sweat when she fought that Vulcan a long time ago, while Ayato figured she had gotten a lot stronger since then- at least that's what he predicted. Meanwhile, he had lots of faith in his other two teammates, but had yet to see them in action. Perhaps if they utilized their skills first, Ayato would find a way to follow. Akryn was the one Ayato was most interested in considering he was made the leader. Just what had he done in his long period of being a member of Eclipse Soul. Ayato pondered some thoughts, but then figured it would be best to wait for a better time before asking- most likely after the upcoming brawl versus the hunters.

Akeya left the planning up to Ayato and Akryn, mostly because Ayato was doing it anyway and because Akryn didn't seem to have any trouble with being in the lead. Well, she did pay close attention, but too many people all trying to get their ideas across would lead to chaos so she didn't interject as the two human males focused on making a good plan about how they would go about this mission. Although she did notice that when it was explained why she should be on the front lines their large companion made some kind of sound, although it was a bit uncertain what exactly it had been. She shot a glare at Xierak, although only a short one as she returned to listening to Ayato and Akryn shortly afterwards. She wasn't sure what their inhuman companion had done, but looking at the timing at which it was done she was pretty sure she didn't like it.

Nevertheless once a proper plan had been established Akeya nodded, preparing to move ahead and begin the scouting. However before that point Ayato used his ring -which apparently allowed him to see things from afar, which was quite the useful ability- to detect several enemies, after which Akeya hesitated as she thought of the best way to handle this. Well, as a scout she should probably try to check them out before they got any closer, and she might be able to assassinate them before they reached the rest of her team. On the other hand Akryn was the leader at the moment, so she would have to wait for him to make a decision first. Still, she could at least get in position for if Akryn ordered her to go ahead, so the half dragon took a couple of steps forward and into a shadow provided by one of the many ruins around them, her nature as a Shadow Dragon immediately causing her to become nigh invisible inside the shadows as she waited for Akryn to make his decision.

Xierak looked out of the corner of his eye at Akryn when he said he was slow, he narrowed his eyes but kept quiet, he knew why he thought that. Xierak had made it a point to rarely use his physical strengths to their highest levels for fear of revealing far to much. Xierak glanced at the trunk he was holding knowing how easy something like this was for him, he didn’t understand why he has the strength he does, but has learned to hide it. Xierak then watched as Seitenshi had walked off to the side and used a ring, he then listened to the report and grunted.

Xierak turned around and started to walk towards the ruins and then flipped the Trunk to rest on the palm of his right hand. As he did he focused on the gravitons around the trunk and started to compress and mold the trunk into a giant broadsword with the hilt resting on the palm of his hand. He then grabbed the massive sword and wielded it easily in his right hand he then raised himself off the ground, knowing that stealth was needed atleast for the moment, he didn’t need the weight of his steps giving him away. He watched as Akeya zoomed off into the ruins, Xierak nodded and picked up his flight speed following her, he reached the edge of the ruins and slowed down, trying his best to weave through the hardest path for him to take, and he managed to do so without disturbing the ruined structures. Years of experience surviving in Sin has taught him the paths that one doesn’t expect you to be able to traverse are the best ones.

However… this path led into the interior of what seemed to be a house, mostly intact save the wall the path led to, Xierak walked forward slightly and sniffed the air… what he smelled however was that of a group of men he had yet to meet and he could hear that they were near… Wielding the exotic great sword carefully, he walked up to a window opening and looked around the corner. He saw a few men that he didn’t recognized but seemed to be armed, Its best for me to wait for signs of the others…

Not far from Xierak would come a very soft sound, heard only by the most sharp of ears. The sound of a blade passing through flesh and the gentle thud of a body dropping. Akryn was there, slowly sliding out of the shadows. He had likely come up in Xieraks wake, silent as death, and fast as it to. His black star cutter was sheathed, and two of the seven cuts were in his hands. Both of them stained with blood. "Two look outs, one setting explosives. Dead, traps disarmed. Xierak, keep your eyes open better. You have better senses than that." he whispered to Xierak, making a mental note to teach Xierak palm speak. It had been created by a rather violent race of elves a long time ago, and most often these days was used by the mute or assasins on stealth missions. Akryn had learned it a long time ago. It would likely come in handy in the future. He peeked into the room Xierak was eyeing and smirked a bit, sheathing both of his blades before nudging Xieraks Elbow. "Find Seitenshi. Keep low and quiet. And Xierak. I want Harper. Make sure he knows that. That old treasure hunting bastard has information on my former guild, information I intend to glean from him. That information is far more important to me than this vault or anything we might find there. Now, watch a master work." he said with a grin before reaching up with both hands, a finger on either side of each handle, grasping the hilts before he would suddenly rise and rush in through the window Xierak was peeking through.

The remaining grave robbers were prepared for combat, ready to rush out into a fight, weapons primed, minds ready. But they were far from ready for Akryn. As Akryn leapt through the window, he tightened his fingers around the hilts and drew all seven in one swift motion. And then whipped his hands forward, releasing four of the knives as he did, sending them like darts into the backs of the furthest enemies. Even as he did this, Akryn activated his wind walk, and gusting orb spell, creating a powerful cushion of air under his feet which sped him towards his opponents at high speed. To Akryn, these tomb raiders were not men. They were not criminals. They were scorpions. And in a flash of bloody red, he crashed into the turning group, with three razor sharp knives spinning in his hands.....

"So you have arrived..." Ayato remarked in response to the swift presence of treasure hunters. They seemed highly strategic with their moves, forcing Ayato back into his group once he even dared to split apart for a moment. They were armed with guns and cannons, obviously ready to blast holes through all four Mages. Unfortunately, Ayato would not allow death, especially under these circumstances. Though he had graded himself as a supporting troop for this task, he figured it was time to use his sword, anyway. END was withdrawn from his jacket in exchange for his old book, while the old sword vanished into that old book as it hid away from another's view. Once END was withdrawn, its book spawned a new sword: The Skillful Elucidator. "The hunters shall be the ones hunted, in this case." Ayato informed.

A sudden white magic circle appeared over Ayato's book, which suddenly unleashed fifty white fireballs as soon as Ayato thrusted his sword. "CHAPTER TWO: DEVASTATION!" Ayato called loudly. They all hurled towards two of the five hunters that surrounded Ayato, in this instance, overwhelmingly enough to take them out. Though forty-eight of them did not actually deal damage or status effects, they still hit people, regardless. This is what made Ayato's spells so impressive. One of the legitimate fireballs hit an intended hunter each, and left them engulfed in white fire, desperate to get out of their burning state. Meanwhile, the other three readied their guns, and aimed towards Ayato. "As if..." Ayato remarked, kicking dust from the ground towards the remaining three. In this instant, Ayato sprinted to the north-east, where his enemies were not located. They all fired in their single moment of blindness, which managed to bruise Ayato's arms and legs, but not enough to actually cause severe pain. In fact, the wounds were rapidly healed due to Ayato's lineage, and dealt nothing since they were not influenced by magic; the only way to still leave someone of this bloodline damaged. "Now be silenced." Ayato whispered, his sword pierced through the back of a hunter, then rotated to do the same onto another hunter, along with the third; three piercings all in vital areas before the dust completely vanished. Ayato looked distantly with his Ring of Yin after this moment, and saw that his teammates were in trouble. He waved to them, letting them know that he was not too far off. "Those buggers..." Ayato concluded.

Akeya had been planning to be the one to begin dispatching their enemies as soon as Akryn gave the go ahead, but apparently their leader had different plans. The winged ninja watched silently as Akryn already disposed of two of the enemies, then passed their large companion by and headed for the window that would lead to most of the other enemies. Apparently he was quite enthusiastic about all this, because after whispering something else to Xierak he grabbed his blades and jumped into the room, from which Akeya could quickly hear sounds of fighting. Sneaking into the room herself the half dragon raised an eyebrow: with the ferocious way Akryn was fighting she didn't really have much that she could do here. It would probably be a good idea to instead see if she could take care of some of the other opponents, seeing how these weren't the only ones in the vicinity.

Leaving the same way as she came Akeya headed for where Ayato had been last, but then once again could do little but just watch him take down all the opponents with ease. The half dragon couldn't find any other opponents nearby, so that meant that Akryn and Ayato together had already taken care of the adversaries within the first seconds of engagement. Akeya wasn't one to be overly impressed, but she had to admit that she hadn't expected this level of proficiency. Well, while they cleaned house she would head further forward, deeper into the ruins while she stayed inside the shadows. They still had to find the vault with artefacts, and they'd have to do so quickly. It was unlikely that the ten treasure hunters taken down by her current leader and companion were the only ones, especially seeing how there hasn't been a trace of their leader, Harper Goldenshine, so far.

Thankfully the fact that they were insides ruins like these meant that Akeya could keep moving forward and scout the way while staying inside shadows all the while, jumping from one to another while letting her nature do the work of making her fade into the darkness. It didn't much longer before she heard footsteps. Looks like she had found another bunch of treasure hunters. Seeing how she was scouting she should try to avoid engaging them until the rest of her team arrived, but she wanted to at least know what they would be up against this time, so she slowed down but kept sneaking closer, looking around a piece of rubble at where the footsteps came from.

Xierak let out a growl at Akryns comments about him almost falling into traps and then watched as he went off and started to fight with the group that they were waiting on ambush together. He simply sighed and turned around venturing the same way he came however forking a left when he came to an opening just big enough for him to fit through. He placed the tip of the sword on the ground and looked around, hearing another set of sounds coming from where they left Ayato, but the large mage had no worry that the Blue Pegasus mage could handle himself. Xierak however caught a smell, a faint one, of something he loved, Candy. Well his version anyway, he sniffed the air a bit and started to walk around quietly started to walk towards the source of the smell, however as he rounded the corner he stopped when he came across four men who were dressed similarly to the group that Akryn had engaged, however the man in the front seemed different.

The lumbering mage and the group of treasure hunters stared at each other for a long moment, when suddenly the ground erupted from underneath Xierak as hundreds of crystal swords shot out from the ground slashing and stabbing him as he was sent up into the air and then was hit by a large crystal mace that sent him careening into the wall of one of the buildings causing him to hit it and fall to the ground with the wall falling ontop of him.

Shreds of Xieraks robe fell gently down to the ground has Harper chuckled, “You see men? The appearance of mages these days are practically unrelated to their own magical power.” Meanwhile Xierak, was stunned from the sudden attack and laid their completely covered by the rubble, What the hec just hit me…

Akryn hit his foes like a twister, with no warning and the fury of the gods. Not a single shot left the treasure hunters weapons. Barely a sound was heard as Akryn moved through them with absolutely terrifying speed and efficiency. In one solid pass, a pass none of the treasure hunters could follow, Akryn was on the other side of the group. For an instant, they all just stood there, absolutely stunned, the few with daggers in their backs from the throws also standing there, all of them uncertain of what had just happened, who this new young man was, or why all of them were to stunned to move. In an eruption and spray of red, it came to sense for them, even as they collapsed to the ground, their precious life blood flowing out onto the ground and covering the walls of the house they had been hiding in. With a smirk, Akryn twirled his daggers before resheathing the three he had held on to, before turning to collect the rest of them. Several down, only a few more to go. As Akryn turned to go, intending to head out and continue his search for Harper, he stopped suddenly. One thing stayed him from his hunt, pushed at his mind, and gnawed at his curiousity. Harper had former ties to the guild. But what of current? Turning back, Akryn approached one of his victims and knelt, reaching down and tearing the mans shirt open.

Underneath was a large, black, scorpion tattoo, circular and intricate, and completely undeniable. As Akryn stared at the mark, his blood began to boil, and his beautiful, silvery, shimmering eyes began to simmer and turn into a deep, blood red. His eyes, like his fathers, quite often displayed his emotions, and right now, Akryn felt blood lust, rage, and absolute hatred. They were here. His target of twenty years was here! With shaking hands and a slowly spreading, maniacal grin, Akryn rose from the dead man, tears comeing to his eyes. If anyone had seen him then, they would have seen true madness. Scorpion tail was within his grasp......

Ayato gasped at the frightening image of a comrade completely nailed after a single attack. Harper sure was a pain in the rear, though never did Ayato expect him to be this strong. While Akryn seemed to be dealing with the weaker links, Ayato stared at Harper while his attention was still on Xierak. "Chapter Two: Descend." Ayato called. A massive white fireball appeared in the sky, and descended towards Harper's location. Ayato saw how Harper tried to defend himself against the fire, though it broke through his crystals, and smashed against his figure. However, in an instant after being hit, Ayato witnessed the flames disperse more quickly than they should have after effect, and Harper standing upright as if nothing happened; only a few severe burns to tell what had happened a second ago. Ayato clinched his teeth, and saw that Harper's focus was now on him. Harper immediately charged, though Ayato swiftly defended with his sword. The boss glared at him like the devil while the two were on a standstill, a crystal sword present to clash with Ayato's own Elucidator. "You..." Ayato commented incompletely.

While the two continued to collide swords, Ayato sneakishly slipped his finger across the end of his sword, and dropped blood against the tip. Hurting himself caused Harper to flinch, which gave Ayato the opportunity to smack his sword away, and pierce Harper with his sword. The blood became a decaying effect, which would kill Harper eventually. On the other hand, while the sword was pierced through Harper's body, intended to pulverize the heart, Ayato saw that Harper had enough time to shield his heart with a crystal. Meanwhile, Harper held onto Ayato's sword so he could not move it, then kicked him square in the stomach so Ayato would go flying. He coughed up blood on the way, though in an instant, Ayato collided with the rocky walls, and boulders collapsed right in front of him. His lineage helped his body recover from the physical damage, though the sensation of pain was still existent in his body. He extended END out to return the Skillful Elucidator to its rightful owner. On the contrary, Ayato still needed more time to recollect himself. A smirk appeared on his face. This was going to be his toughest enemy, wasn't it? Now that Ayato had suffered brutal damage, the adrenaline in his body ignited. This battle wasn't over yet. Not even close. His fighting spirit was still running high; his soul burning for victory.

Akeya's eyes narrowed as she saw the man who, if the description she had been given was correct, was the leader of the treasure hunters, and the primary target. Harper had been the one who proclaimed to know how to find the hoard, so they would need to capture him and interrogate him to figure out how to retrieve it and deliver it to the council. Or maybe just sleep on it... The half dragon was beginning to consider slapping herself in the hope that it would make her stop getting distracted. Having dragon blood running through your veins is really not always as fun as one might be inclined to think.

Of course seeing Xierak get launched did help her become more focused. As the reports said Harper's skill with crystal make was on high enough a level to be nearly unbelievable. Without any sign of effort he had caused an eruption of crystal swords and then used a giant crystal club to send their humongous ally flying. Against a mage who could so easily and quickly generate defences and equipment a frontal assault would most likely be ineffective. Which was fine by Akeya, because she hadn't been intending to play fair to begin with. And as luck would have it Ayato was already arriving and immediately charged Harper, giving Akeya enough time to advance and plan.

While her ally and the leader of the treasure hunters clashed Akeya willed herself to completely merge with the shadows, switching from merely hard to see to completely invisible. At least, while in the shadows. If she were to step into the light she'd become as hard to see as she normally was while in the shadows, and while that was already plenty of cover it wasn't perfect camouflage. Unfortunately she'd have to risk it, seeing how Harper had neglected to conveniently stand in a shadow. Once she had made sure that she could at least get close without being spotted Akeya sped up, approaching Harper from behind while Ayato locked blades with the man. In her own hands two daggers appeared, forged out of shadows and razor sharp.

At the same moment that Ayato was sent flying by a kick -not nearly as impressive as the way the lizardman had been launched, though- the half dragon disappeared into a surge of shadows which reformed right behind Harper in a crouching position, where she quickly cut his hamstrings so he would no longer be able to move around. Not waiting for a reaction Akeya then spun the daggers around in her hands so she could hold them with the blades pointing downwards, as she rose up planting both the blades where Harper's shoulders connected to his arms. Seeing how trying anything more than that would probably give Harper enough time to do anything besides being shocked and feeling the pain of suddenly being cut and stabbed Akeya then once again Shadow Stepped, reappearing in a group of shadows in a different location then she came from, making sure that she was still hidden before planning her next move. Thanks to Ayato distracting him she had been able to get close and cripple their target while also hindering his ability to use his arms and hands, but that still wasn't enough to call the fight over. It would be much easier if she could just kill him, but that wasn't allowed in this situation.

Xierak groaned at first, being buried under the rubble and getting his mind of candy finally made him realize what exactly had just happened. He clenched his jaw, eighty percent of his robes were now destroyed, making him unable to hide what he was, but at the moment one person had to pay for carrying candy so close and then whacking him away before he could get a taste. Why was he upset over this? Well it could simply be because he didn’t get a chance to eat candy very often. He heard fighting start up around the area he had been standing he tensed, letting out a deep and resonant growl. Focusing on his arms he casted Graviton First degree Augementation, and he then braced his powerful legs on the remains of the wall that was in the cavity.

Then Xierak jumped off the ground and wall with all of his strength, bursting through the rubble sending rocks flying everywhere as well as making the remains of the building collapse behind him. Out in the open his glowing orange eyes spotted Harper, the man who had so rudely ended his dreams, placing his feet on the ground, he slid a few feet tearing up the ground as he came to a halt. Then Xierak opened up his mouth and let out a roar that anyone could of heard, and launched himself towards Harper who was just turning around as Xierak seemingly flew through the air straight at him. Right as Xierak came into striking distance he threw out his right claw, curled up into a large fist as it drove itself straight into Harpers Abdomen, making Harpers body reel back from the sheer force of the punch. However before Harper flew back from the blow Xierak extending one spike from each of his forearms and wrapped around Harper’s chest, preventing him from going anywhere outside the Lumbering mages reach. Suddenly three more men jumped from the ruins, running towards their leader to try and save him, however Xierak still holding Harper caught sight of them. Before the three rookie treasure hunters could change their minds, Xierak uncoiled his tail from his was and wrapped it around one of their necks, the other two didn’t fair much better as they met three spikes from each of his shoulders that wrapped around their torso’s and arms squeezing down hard. Xierak narrowed his eyes as he growled, as the rookie hunters held their swords and were trying to free themselves to hit the fearsome looking beast, “I have no reason to fight you… I am only after the one who hit me when I was only wanting candy…” Two of the would be hunters stopped stuggling for a moment and looked at Xierak with an incredibly confused expression on their faces. However, Xierak turned his attention away and looked at Seitenshi, “As for you… don’t try and do anything against me… I don’t trust your kind…”

As Xierak dealt with the current three rookies, the other two would hoist their guns, taking aim. A sudden swish sound was the only noise that would be heard though, and the last thing they would see would be a black clad figure with white hair and a sword held out to the side striding between them, right before they collapsed to the ground. Akryn slowly approached Xierak and Harper, the black star cutter held out to the side, blood dripping from its black blade. Blood spray covered Akryns face and part of his hair. His usual, rose tinted glasses were gone, and his head was down. As he approached, wind would suddenly whip through the area, carrying Akryns voice. "Genryusei Toblerone. Marcus Motomiji. Mira Motomiji. Lizbeth. Aria. Fredrick. Alfons, Riker, Madara. Maka, Zane, Kaido, Shiek, Andreus, Elrick, Tosen, Chris, Brooke, Elly, Alma." he said in a shaking voice, a voice barely above a whisper. As Akryn approached, he slowly looked up, a look of pure disdain, rage, and hatred burning in his now red eyes. And tears. Tears were in his eyes. But quite possibly the most unsettling thing was the grin. A wicked, maniacal look, one fit for madness. "Harper Goldenshine, you are a traitor to these clients. To these men and women. You have armed their enemies and aided in their murders. You have joined the very villians I seek now to destroy. And in doing so, you have sentenced yourself. Xierak. Put Harper down. Kill the other three. He is the only one I want." Akryn said before bringing his sword before him, into a two hand grip, and then raising it to a high guard stance. "Akeya, Ayato. Harper is a member of my former guild. His death is my responsibility and honor alone. Stay out of it. Harper. You will tell me where the guild hall has been moved." Akryn whispered, the look of near insanity in his eyes intensifying.

"My kind?" Ayato questioned with a laugh, "Do I look typical to you?" It was funny. Normally you would think that a partner would encourage you to get up at least, though this guy- Xierak- was talking lowly to Ayato. Well, the look on Ayato still gave off the vibe that Xierak probably had his reasons. However, there was something about Ayato that he had yet to know. "Do not judge a book by its cover. I am no ordinary human, sir." Ayato commented, "A normal human couldn't survive living through all eras and their problems, after all." Soon, another presence showed itself, though he looked much different from Ayato. This was Daisuke; the more intelligent human between the two, though his true identity was actually END. Since his evolution from Genesis to END, Daisuke's intelligence had improved exponentially, so this battle would be no problem. Not to mention Daisuke held his own book, along with a duplicate of Ayato's sword: The Skillful Elucidator. Things were about to get fun.

"I hope you're ready, my other self." END advised. Ayato nodded in response, and accepted Akryn's request. They didn't even have to look at Akeya to know that she had done the quite the damage on the enemy already. They both knew she was an expert assassin, and was skillful at hurting enemies in unexpected times. Heck, even the two couldn't catch her in time. On the other hand, Akeya was their friend, and not their enemy, so there was no problem. The only problem at hand aside from Harper were the three stooges that decided to accompany the Crystal-Make Mage. "Twin Burning Soul!" Ayato announced. Together, he and Daisuke (END) swung their swords downwards, and a trial of flames travelled at incredible speeds to catch two of the three enemies, and engulf them in white fire. Meanwhile, Ayato and Daisuke together dashed at the two with even greater speed and force, and flipped over them while running their swords through their arms. While the two were in pain of losing one arm each, Ayato and Daisuke rushed back to eliminate the other. "Silencio!" Ayato and Daisuke cheered in unison as their swords pierced through the skulls of these two from the top. "And goodnight..." Ayato concluded as the swords were retrieved from the heads of these lunatics. A huge wave of white fire shrouded the two- Daisuke and Ayato together- emitting a tremendous amount of real, white magic power. "Again, we're not ordinary." Ayato remarked towards Xierak.

    "Not at all..." Daisuke added.

From Akeya's point of view, this job might very well have taken a turn for the worst just now. True, they had taken down and captured the one who had the knowledge they required to find the hoard, but her allies had all three started to become somewhat suspicious in intent.

The most notable was of course how the lizardman seemed to have trouble staying in control of himself, savagely charging out of the rubble he had been launched into before and beating Harper with bone-crushing force. It wasn't even like the treasure Hunter had much of an opportunity to resist. He had been burned, crippled, and stabbed, and now Xierak used enough force on him that Akeya wouldn't have been surprised if Harper lost consciousness. The way Xierak reacted to the other treasure hunters only augmented the feeling that something was wrong.

Akryn wasn't fairing much better. Akeya had seen the way he had attacked the other opponents, but thought that was just him being serious about the job. Now it seemed like he had another motivation, and not necessarily a good one. Well, being mad about a former fellow guild member betraying clients wasn't too worrisome, but the leader of the Blue Pegasus group looked like he was getting consumed by it. If his dedication to the job and self control had been compromised Akeya would have to act on it, and that wouldn't be pleasant for any of them.

Ayato was the one the half dragon was the least worried about, although when challenged with the claim of being normal felt the need to demonstrate otherwise, in the process using energy that Akeya felt could better have been spend otherwise. Well, at least he used that energy to get rid off the last opponents.

Akeya meanwhile had stayed hidden in the shadows, made invisible by her Shadow Dance. No reason to interfere when everything was under control. Well, up until the point where Akryn began to act worrisome, at which point the half dragon stepped forward, even in the sunlight staying hard to be seen directly. Well, the others would probably still recognize her thanks to the outlines of her wings and tail.

"Our job is to find the artefacts, not to find the location of another guild. You can ask him about personal matters once he has given us the information we need to complete the job."

While she had stepped into the light so her allies could at least somewhat see her Akeya didn't feel like getting too close to any of her three allies right now. Especially Xierak and Akryn with that look in his eyes.
