A Demon Enters The Fang | Introduction | Public.

Post by Laycie on 27th January 2015, 10:42 am

Staring up at the looming building that was surrounded in ice, the black haired girl blew out an icy breath and giggled slightly at the white fog that left her mouth. Swaying slightly on her balls of her feet, she examined the structure of the building which held a snake-like logo. It was a Dark Guild; it was Basilisk Fang. A comparatively new guild and one which did not consist of a lot of members. As far as she knew, even the guild master was a young adult who recently replaced the old one by quite unfortunate means. How she knew that was a secret; she had a lot of ways to gain information. And this one thoroughly amused her.

'Well, Basilisk Fang. Prepare to welcome a demon into your midst.' With that, Laycie sauntered into the guild hall and opened the door, letting the cool air rush inside the guild hall. Not that the cold bothered her or anything. Despite the fact that this guild was fairly new, Laycie was only appealed by this one. The other Dark Guilds she had heard of were quite renowned but this was not. And that is what she was looking for; a guild which was on its way to power. She wanted to help it; however, only for her own purposes by becoming a prominent force within it; to gain power; and to be feared. Perhaps, she could even trick a few humans in the guild to serve as a main course. The thought made her excited.

'Hello!' The black haired demon exclaimed in high pitched voice, her voices bouncing off the walls off the guildhall, 'Is anyone here? I have come in hope of joining. I really do look forward to being here~' Laycie wondered what all amusement this guild could provide. She was positive that it would indeed, be a ton of it. After all, if this guild had humans then they would be ones who were evil. And the more resentful and desperate for power they are, the more amusing it is to watch.

'This is going to be so wonderful~'

Hunched over on his chair, looking down at the entrance of the guild hall. This is how most days went in Basilisk Fang, for it's new guild master. It wasn't that the dark guild was boring, just the low amount of people living in it, was so low, that you could go the entire day, without meeting a single soul, in the cold halls of Basilisk.

A sigh escaped the man's lips, a desperate sigh for something to happen. Really anything, even an invasion by the Rune Knights, though to be honest, the Rune Knights probably didn't consider Basilisk Fang as any threat, to well anyone. Maybe the Vulcans in the area, but that would really be it. There were no people here who would really care, only some mindless beasts.

But as Elijah was about to fall asleep, he saw a girl walk in the front door. This was a surprise, a new member perhaps or someone lost. It wouldn't matter really, it was someone, to either recruit or to mess with.

The man stood up and made his way down the staircase, to meet this mystery girl. As he reached the bottom floor, the voice of the girl echoed through the guild hall. So she was here to join, what joy was to hear that. Elijah, following the voice, walked to the entrance hall and rested his hand on a small table, looking towards the girl.

''Hello there miss.'' Elijah made a gesture with his hand, while saying that. ''I heard you are interested in joining this fine establishment, of a dark guild.'' A grin appeared on the man's face: ''And seeing as you walked through the cold weather to get here, you must be tired, we can go to a more pleasant room and talk about you wanting to join Basilisk Fang.''

At the sound of a man's voice echoing across the guild hall, clearly aimed in her direction as there seemed to be no one else around, Laycie turned towards the source of the voice and instantly recognized the main; Elijah Rendlev, the guild master of Basilisk Fang. When you're a demon, it is quite easy to acquire information especially on those that you'll be associating yourself with. Laycie smiled at him and nodded as he suggested that they go somewhere to talk about her joining Basilisk Fang.

'Well, lead the way.' She gestured with her hand towards him. The demon was hardly tired at all and walking through the cold weather was not a problem as well. However, he did not need to know who she really was. Well, at least not at the moment. Laycie wanted to see how much this man would intrigue her. After all, killing the guild master during the time when he was a Rune Knight must make him quite an interesting fellow. Anything that could amuse Laycie was something she would gladly like. Moreover, considering the fact that he wasn't human would just add on more to the fun. She knew he wasn't one because he did not have the scent of one; it is easy for a demon to distinguish a human from one who's not. He wasn't a demon either as she would know her own kind and neither was he a an angel or a fallen angel as those are easy to distinguish as well due to the long history and conflicts that angels and demons shared. And it made her curious beyond anything else as to what being he was since he clearly wasn't a human or a demon or an angel.

As she followed Elijah to where they would be discussing her entrance into the guild, the girl decided to inform him of her name. Wasn't that supposed to be what humans called, manners? 'Oh, how silly of me. My name is Laycie Vessalius. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance~'

Listening to the lady introduce herself, Elijah couldn't help but feel interested. She was very confident considering she was in a dark guild, talking to the guild master, just like friends. This was very unusual, but then again, very fitting for Basilisk, as this proved her worth already. She seemed fit for the guild, just from her courage and power, though Elijah still had to see her intellect. Although from her manners, it seemed to be very good.

As they reached the sitting area, which had a lit fireplace and multiple comfortable chairs. The place looked very comfy, all the walls were covered in paintings and there was a massive bookcase on one side of the room. Elijah took a seat, in a red armchair, located next to the fireplace and signaled Laycie to sit down on the chair opposite to him.

''So miss, could you tell me your reason to walking over to Basilisk Fang?'' Elijah took a small class with some red liquid in it and shook it around for a little bit: ''It is a long journey to take here, without a good reason.'' After taking a sip of the drink, Elijah waited for Laycie's answer.

It did indeed intrigue the demon as to what the Basilisk Fang guild master thought of her; did her find her interesting? She certainly hoped so. After all, it would be far too easy and boring to get entrance into this guild without any form of amusement, wouldn’t it? This was certainly ought to be good. As they reached the sitting area which consisted of comfortable chairs and a light fireplace, Laycie just looked around, feeling slightly bored and her mind constantly wondering when the fun would start. After all, it was quite difficult for her to behave unless she was amused in some way.

The black, haired female sat down on the chair opposing Elijah as he gestured for her to do so. Noticing the cup in his hand, the female took a sniff and got a quite good idea of what it was; so that was what Elijah was. Quite interesting. It appeared as though consumption of human souls had made the demon quite familiar with the scent of human blood. Now, she was starting to finally get amused. As he asked his questions, Laycie just sat there with a pleasant look outlining her visage. As she started responding to his questions, the female crossed one of her legs above the other and leaned completely into the chair, one of her hands on her chin.

‘Well, you see, I was looking for a place to reside in; preferably one that was a Dark Guild. And you must already be aware as to why a person would want to be in a Dark Guild. Let’s just say, I’m not exactly normal. But then again, I don’t think any of us are. Hence, I am here; in Basilisk Fang. I heard about the fact that it was fairly new guild and thought, why not? After all, isn’t it always amusing to see a guild such as this slowly rise to power. Quite a fun way to pass the time, wouldn’t you agree, Elijah-san?’
