Cracking his knuckles, Eli rested his elbow lightly on the countertop before him, a soft humming being all of his accompaniment. He looked almost sleeping, eyes closed and softly swaying on his stool. However, in his mind he was once more running through the plans for the next few months. It'd been a while since he dared take on such a long job; the chances of it turning into a bust were always high, and it'd make all his effort meaningless. However, it had been too long since he'd pulled anything off and it was starting to nag at him. For the most part, it all came from a desire to leave; he'd been aching to get out of the guild life for a while now; if anything this was more of an excuse for that. Still, the payout for this looked promising, and it could help get him back into his normal routine. He felt as if he'd been in a funk lately, and he disliked the idea of being anything but his own form of perfection.

Stretching himself out, he took a light sip for the drink before him. The road ahead was long, and he didn't want to get too tipsy before it. He found himself somewhat reminiscing now. The payout from guild work was good, he couldn't deny that. Maybe coming back for a few jobs later on would be a good answer to the work droughts he tended to experience. Still, that would be a ways off, and planning that far ahead wasn't in Eli's style. After all, he was a wanderer at heart, so where he ended up in any amount of time was unknown. He turned towards the door, still waiting for the arrival of his travelling companion. While he may have made her carry all of their belongs to storage, she still was taking a long time. He couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle, wondering how much longer he'd spend his days waiting for her.
