    Description:
    -Abyssal Witch Hunter is a magic developed by abyssal creatures to take out powerful magic users. This magic is infamously used by predatory wraiths to aid them in hunting down unsuspecting prey. It relies heavily on consuming your enemy’s magic, taking it into one’s self and using it to power one’s own spells, temporarily enhancing your prowess and abilities and maintaining active spells long after their duration would have come to an end. It is a magic specifically developed for hunting and quickly taking out your opponent, weather by stealth, use of magical toxins or use of overwhelming force in a quick rapid fire manner. This magic’s defining horror lies in the fact that it uses a spell casters own magic against them.
    This magic is entirely based on control both self-control, control of internal and external energies through mental focus and discipline. It requires a solid training regimen designed to keep the caster’s mental focus sharp while maintaining a perfect balance between mind, body and spirit. So long as training is maintained all that is needed to activate the magic is a simple thought, a moment of quick concentration and some good old fashioned trained muscle memory reactions. His training regime requires 2 hours of physical training twice a week, whether it is combat training (martial arts/weapon training), muscle training (weight lifting) or cardio training (running/swimming). 2 hours of mental training once a week such as meditation.

    Strengths:
    -Pique Combat Physique: due to the training requirements, Grotto is at his pique physical shape. In addition, grotto’s training regime requires martial arts training and weapon combat training to ensure the correct mind/body oneness; thus making him a powerful combatant even when not using any magic.
    -Supernatural Physique: the nature of the magic requiring oneness of mind body and spirit gives grotto supernatural physical prowess
    -utility caster: most spells used by this magic have multiple uses or multiple ways to cast them. These include area effect and single targeting uses for the same spell

    Weaknesses:
    - Blind eye: grotto relies on his inner eye to recognize people and objects. If anything obscures or prevents his inner eye he has trouble recognizing people, locations and objects.
    -limited recovery: Grotto does not recover magic as normal. Unlike other wizards he does not recover by resting but instead must use other means such as spells, abilities or potions.
    -limited healing: grotto is unable to heal as normal; he has to rely on other means of healing, such as spells, abilities or potions.
    -Overdrive: Grottos magic’s effectiveness requires him to use his spells in combination with each other, this makes him burn through his magic quicker than normal wizards. In addition, the nature of his magic takes a toll on his body if combat is sustained for too long. Grotto begins taking damage from his own magic every time he casts a spell after being in continues combat for a period of time (determined by his rank). Grotto takes on 5% hp damage for every spell he casts after continues combat for the following time: D rank = 5 posts; C rank = 7 posts; B rank = 10 posts; A rank = 14 posts; S rank = 19 posts; H rank = 25 posts

    Abilities/Powers:
    - Vision of the inner eye: this acts as a kind off magic radar and detection system. Allows him to detect and catalog magic signatures within a specified range which is determined by Grotto's rank and the magic’s strength (see chart below).  The information grotto gets from this is: the location of the item/weapon/person containing/using/effected by the magic, the magic’s strength, the type of magic and the magic’s purpose (its effect and type). In addition he can faintly detect any spells that have been recently used in his current location (same as someone detecting an old smell lingering around; time limitation also provided below). To grotto this is simply another sense, no different than his eye sight or hearing. This ability can be blocked off/countered with cloaking spells and the like, however, although such spells will prevent him from “seeing” anything else, grotto can “see” the spell used by the spell caster to block off grotto or the cloak itself. On cases where a wizard uses a cloaking spell or ability, grotto is able to “see” the cloaking spell or ability itself but nothing else, no other info, so long as they are within grotto’s range. In the case of a spell used on grotto to prevent him from using his inner eye ability grotto is able to “see” the spell and the location of the caster (direction and distance only). In this case because the spell has been placed on grotto the distance is considered to be “0” feet and thus grotto can see where the caster is no matter the distance.

    -Wraith’s Physique: the nature of this magic makes for unusual body conditions; these conditions are grottos inability to heal naturally or recover magic his magic by resting, grotto must resort to a form of consumption. Grotto regains his magic and heals his wounds by eating, for every 4 oz of food or 50 calories he eats, grotto recovers 5% of his health and magic. In addition he is able to siphon magic from active magic around him; he gains 2.5% of his magic whenever anyone casts a spell around him (max of once per post). This does not affect the magic being cast in this matter. This siphoning does have a range based on grottos rank (D = 10 feet, C = 15 feet, B = 20 feet, A = 25 feet, S = 30 feet, H = 40 feet)

    -Shadow’s Stealth: Grotto can move around undetected, unseen and silent as a shadow. This is partially due to natural magic and a wraith like ability to blend with the shadows. This allows him to hide easily, infiltrate enemy positions, gather information unnoticed and generally sneak into places he is not supposed to be or sneak up on people (generally for pranks). This ability simply requires some shadows or a less then brightly lit area to work. It stops working if grotto takes any aggressive actions.

    Type: Defensive/utility
    Description: This spell allows caster to eat/consume his enemy’s spell as they are casting it. In this fashion the enemy caster still counts as casting the spell, using up their magic as normal, using up any catalyst that they require as normal and requiring the same cool down before being able to cast it again as normal. They also receive any negative effects they would normally receive from casting their spell. In this manner grotto receives the magic consumed and can use it to cast his own spell, to extend the duration of any spells he currently has active or simply to recover his own magic at a point per point basis. This spell’s speed is instant, it targets one caster/spell at a time, range is varied (see table below). Grotto simply inhales his enemy’s spell; this looks like he took a deep breath of his enemy’s magic (sucking it all up in the process) through his mouth and then swallows it (giving his eyes an eerie glow that lasts for a few seconds).
    Strengths:
    -Great defense against even the most powerful magic.
    -Allows grotto to use his spells without using his own magic or recover magic he has used to cast his spells.
    -Allows grotto to overcome duration limits to his spells thus improves his combat effectiveness.

    Weaknesses:
    -Only D rank spells and below can be consumed in this fashion (at this time)
    -Can only be used on one target/spell per post
    -Limited range: range for this spell is limited based on grotto’s rank; if target is in direct line of sight the range is as follows (D= 20 feet; C = 30 feet; B = 40 feet; A = 50 feet;
    S = 60 feet; H = 80 feet); if target is not on grotto’s line of sight the range is as follows (D= 10 feet; C = 15 feet; B = 20 feet; A = 25 feet; S = 30 feet; H = 40 feet)
    -limited duration: this spell lasts for only one post, specifically only effects one spell
    -has an extended cool down of 3 posts

    Name: Hunter’s Prowess
    Rank: D
    Type: Enhancement/supported
    Description: By calling on the power of the abyss, Grotto enhances his physical and magical attributes. His body darkens by shadows, his muscles bulge and his eyes glow an eerie crimson.  This spell takes but an instant and is activated with a mighty battle cry (sounds like a roar of metal on metal with the rumble of thunder). This spell effectively improves grottos stats by half a rank higher. In effect, his physical melee damage is half a rank higher, his spells are considered a half rank higher, and he can defend as if he was half a rank higher. In effect Grotto can break through D-rank barriers, but not through C-rank barriers, while D-rank spells won't affect him much but C-rank spells will still hurt.

    Strengths:
    -Gives Grotto an advantage in combat against wizards of the same ranking
    -Allows Grotto to fight wizards of higher ranking on equal ground
    -gives Grotto greater strength, speed, agility and toughness

    Weaknesses:
    -limited duration of 4 posts
    -long cool down of 5 posts
    -it is very taxing on grotto’s body, causes him 5% hp damage each time it’s used after the first per thread
    -uses a lot of physical energy, grotto must consume 1 lb or 200 calories of food after using this spell before he can regain his Hp and magic from food as normal

    Name: Haze
    Rank: D
    Type: Shadow area/offensive
    Description: By calling on to the shadows of the abyss, grotto is able to summon an obscuring Haze. This Haze is a smoke like mist made of shadows, obscuring the vision of friend and foe alike. Grotto inhales deeply then releases this mist in one of two ways, as an area effect or directly unto his enemies. As an area effect, grotto spits out a globule of shadowy ectoplasm at a range of up to 30 feet. Where it lands this globule releases the misty haze in all directions spreading to an area in a 15 foot radius. This mist obscures the vision of any one within it; visibility within the mist is 4 feet. In addition anyone outside the mist cannot see within the mist at all.
    When cast directly on his enemies, grotto releases a wide cone of shadowed mist from his mouth which covers the direction he is facing. The cone is at a 60 degree to both left and right (120 degree total), and range of 15 feet. Anyone caught in the cone is then engulfed in mist which centered from them has a radius of 4 feet. While engulfed in the mist they are unable to see, however they can be seen from outside the mist. The mist is mildly toxic (magical toxin naturally found in the air on the abyssal plain) and causes 3% Hp damage and 1% magical drain per post when engulfed due to the mist being in a concentrated form.
    This spell is cast relatively quickly, takes a moment to inhale, then another moment to release the spell. Grotto can see through the mist with no problems.

    Strengths:
    -can easily be used as a defensive as well as an offensive spell
    -Multiple ways of casting making it a very versatile spell
    -most effective when facing multiple enemies at once
    -prevents enemies from using range advantage against grotto

    Weaknesses:
    -limited range of 30 feet for area effect version
    - Limited range of 15 feet for cone version
    - Cone version can be evaded rather easily
    -Effects enemies and allies alike
    -duration of 5 posts
    -cool down of 6 posts

    Name: Shadow’s Blessing
    Rank: D
    Type: Shadow, Healing
    Description: Grotto calls unto the holy shadows of the abyss, asking for aid in his battles. From deep within his belly the shadows answer his call. Grotto releases the breath of life granted to dark embrace from his mouth. As other of grotto’s spells, this one can be cast in one of two ways; on self and on others: when cast on self, as grotto exhales his body darkens slightly, his eyes grow crimson, and the light from around grotto disperses leaving an area 4 feet in radius around grotto obscured by shadow (this shadow is cosmetic and has no effect in game). Lasting 3 posts, Shadows blessing encases grotto in shadows during the first post, heals D rank Hp on the second post and simply wears off on third post. During this time grotto cannot cast any other spells, nor take any aggressive actions.
    Grotto may instead cast it on an ally, grotto must be physically touching target (normally his ally) with one or both hands, then breathe on to them Shadow’s blessing. Again, lasting 3 posts; shadows surround target in first post, second post recovers D rank level of healing and simply wears off in the third post. During the first post grotto is unable to cast other spells or take aggressive actions. Target is unable to cast spells during all 3 posts but is able to take aggressive actions.


    Strengths:
    -allows grotto to recover health mid battle
    -good supportive spell when working with allies
    -can heal incapacitated targets
    Weaknesses:
    -limits grotto’s actions while spell is in effect
    -has no range capabilities
    -leaves grotto vulnerable during spells duration
    -limits allies actions while under spells effect
    -can only be cast on willing or incapacitated target
    -effective duration of 3 posts, (1 post of actual healing)
    -cool down of 3 posts

    Heya Grotto, sorry this has taken a bit longer than expected. Your magic at the moment is great, but needs some work so as to balance it for use within the RP.     i believe iv'e fixed grotto's magic, made the changes needed. one note though: grotto already only had r abilities, i had just worded it all wrong. fixed up the one that looked like more than one ability (Wraith’s Physique) so that it makes sense

    Just realised I completely messed up the colour tags at the end there XD But you made the edits anyway so nice work on that :P

    Given the nature of your magic I will be keeping an eye on how it goes as time goes on and may request edits via PM should I feel it requires it. Right now though I'm more than happy to approve this and let you get to RPing =]
