The Coming of A Coming Storm Empty The Coming of A Coming Storm

The sound of metal being dragged across the pavement started to drive the man insane. The chains were heavy, and the shackles limited his movements. Kaseki was the prisoner. He was being brought to Era as a prisoner. He looked at his escort with a fire in his eyes. This did not go was planned.

"When I said 'Well chain me up, lock my arms together, turn me in to the Magic Council and call me Sally!' it was an expression..." Kaseki was the Fourth Coming Storm. He was known well across Fiore, but not for fear, but failure. He was the outcast of Lamia Scale, cast away into the darkness. He had respect for the aid that he gave to the people, despite being in Savage Skull. He help the elderly, gave food to the hungry and threw jewels at the poor. He was kind at heart, but ruthless in nature. He wanted to be a hero at any cost, but the demon in him would never allow that. "I can change..." he said weakly.

Kaseki dragged the chains as he followed the Rune Knight. They knew Kaseki was virtually harmless. He was a poor offensive mage, and sub-par at defense at best. They knew he relied on allies for power with his magic. Kaseki has friends in every guild. He needed it, it was not for power, but for safety. Having friends in legal guilds was the closest he could ever be to being a hero.

He looked up at the great halls of the Headquarters as he was dragged in through the doors. Some guards held confused expressions. "Why is he here?" one asked, "He's barely a threat..." another said... "He should be released soon. He played Heero at my daughter's birthday party, he's harmless." said another. But everyone knew what this meant. This meant that he was finally a threat. Or rather... he was brought there to prove a point.

The Coming of A Coming Storm Empty Re: The Coming of A Coming Storm

The cold, heavy metal chains bounding her prisoner clanked continously driving the young Rune Knight to near insanity. Chains... Chains were made to bound freedom and Bea, well, Bea was a fighter for freedom; freedom for the people. "It's better to die for freedom..." she painly whispered softly to herself, "...Than live life in chains.." Yet here she was... going against her own principles. The trudge to Era, specifically Rune Knight Headquarters, was slow and tedious causing guilt to weigh even more heavily upon her mind. Kaseki was her employer's father and more than that, he was her friend. She glanced at Necro, her face betraying no emotion whatsoever, before looking back ahead. This was neccessary... Even if the bound Coming Storm was perfectly harmless. "When I said 'Well chain me up, lock my arms together, turn me in to the Magic Council and call me Sally!' it was an expression..." Kaseki said. If it was in a joking manner, she did not know. Still, Bea barely cracked a smile. "Tell that to Mr. Stigma..." she joked softly. It was something she rarely, if ever, did. "I am just assisting a fellow Rune Knight escort...a prisoner..." It was quiet for a few minutes. "I can change..." Kaseki said weakly. "I know... but there is nothing I can do... yet." Bea replied in a voice only them three could hear. Even if there was mage with highly sensitive ears, they couldn't hear them. She had made sure of that.

Why did the freedom fighter speak so freely in presence of another Rune Knight? She did not trust him, then why? It was because Kaseki trusted the ghoul. If Kaseki trusted him then she had  gone ahead and extended a smidget of trust. For now. Her mind soon wandered to just a few hours beforehand. Bea had been patroling the city, gathering intel, the sorts when she saw Necro and Kaseki. It was peculiar as she remembered the past ordeal that the ghoul had faced for speaking with the Coming Storm. Hadn't he learned his lesson? Due to her better nature, she had gone to check out the situation only to discover Kaseki being bound in chains. The image never did sit well with her. Her thoughts quickly dispersed due to the various greetings and mystified looks of the fellow Rune Knights. They had arrived at their destination. "Why is he here?" A Rube Knight asked confused. "He's barely a threat..." Another one said mistified."He should be released soon. He played Heero at my daughter's birthday party, he's harmless." said another. The knight said nothing. She barely even glanced at them. What was the need? They all knew why.
