Garnet was still as confused as ever. Mythical beasts? Potions? Magic? Such things were not familiar to his ears and eyes. But what he knew, was that he would need a place where he could stay. More of a long-term stay, kind of place. The Inkling discovered that there were so-called Guilds for mages to join and call home, get stronger and forge relationships. Garnet wasn't entirely sure if he had a magic of his own, but he definitely felt something stirring within. And he was absolutely sure that he didn't have any of his weapons that he used to battle with on him. So he decided that he would have better chances of catching on this world if he was a part of something bigger.

With this mindset, Garnet appeared in the city of Magnolia. His goal was to join the Guild of Fairy Tail. From the limited information he had, it seemed like a Guild that he could see himself being a part of. It wasn't too much of a trek to get to the city, as he was quite close it already. But the real issue that arose, was the question of directions. He couldn't exactly ask people for them, as it was quite impossible for him. Instead, he decided to rely on his smartphone, that he had outfitted with a strange crystal that seemed to give it power and Garnet was completely on board with it. However, he was naturally no longer able to connect to the network from back home, but he could connect to the network that this world had. He managed to find a good enough of a map, that he reckoned would lead him to his destination.

After a couple of bad turns, he eventually stood in front of the somewhat unassuming building. It had pretty solid doors and Guild's name painted above them, but that was about it. With a little sigh, the Inkling would come up to the door and push them open, after he put away his smartphone. Right behind the doors there was a number of tables. Some were occupied, some were empty. There was one table, on Garnet's left, that seemed to have been a home for a bartender. On his right side was a more organised table. Garnet would stand in place, scratching his head in confusion. He assumed that he needed to go to the table on his right, but he truly had no idea.

    5 Year Old Arcadia:

Little Arcadia slid down the stairs in the entry way to Fairy Hills. She lept off at the bottom as she often did, and nearly just as often she landed pretty much face first. The little pale blonde slayer always graceful in combat, was not nearly so out of it.

She wasn't really hurt, so she was back up on her bare feet in no time. Arcadia swept her faerie geek gaze around entryway, glad no one was around to see. She hurried out the front doors of Fairy Hills, and dug her light blue iLac with the kitty charm on one corner from her specially sewn dress pocket. The guild hall was just across the street, and she could practically taste the watermelon-strawberry slushy she was gonna get when she got inside. There was still time in the short stroll though to catch up with the other Magnolia Six, some of her non-wizard friends. Arcadia gave a quick glance both ways before rushing across the street.

The pale blinde slayer entered the guild hall a few moments after Garnet. She was used to finding things relatively quiet when she came in at this time of day. That's why she nearly walked by the Inkling while engrossed with catching up on her friends' latest posts. The young girl did a double take. New faces were not an unsual thing, but also not an everyday occurrence.

The last few times she had seen a new face around the guild hall, she had the comfort of a guildmate's familiar face being around too. This time, she'd have to be the face of the guild until she find an ace or Master Sorano. Unless this new face was only here for Fairy Tail's help, then mayne she's be able to handle it completely herself.

Avoiding Garnet's eyes at first, Arcadia took a deep breath and imagined Nessa or Aven or Thea or mira or Rina or Sorano were somewhere just around the corner. In that, she found a warm smile and confidence enough to find her voice, soft as it was. She displayed her left forearm with its newly filled in and solid sparkly light blue Fairy Tail guld mark, wanting to make sure thw inkling knew the little girl was someone who could help. "Hey there. I'm Arcadia Fairchilde of Fairy Tail. You need any help?"

Garnet had just about decided on trying to approach the desk, that he assumed was a receptionist's desk. Before he could do so, however, he was approached by a girl. She was rather tiny and Garnet couldn't help but to think that she was rather young. The girl stretched out her arm, showing off her mark on her forearm, as she introduced herself as Arcadia Fairchilde of Fairy Tail. It seemed that it wasn't that hard to find a mage from a specific Guild, afterall. Then again, Garnet was in Fairy Tail's Guildhall, so he knew that he shouldn't be too surprised. The girl had introduced herself, so Garnet felt like he needed to do the same. Things were so much tougher when you couldn't properly communicate. It was a hurdle that the Inkling was still dealing with, slowly, but surely.

The Inkling would humm to himself, a strange mixture of combination of a humm and bubbling. He would take out his squid-shaped smartphone that was black in colour and typed something down. The Inkling would then slightly bend down and show Arcadia the screen that said: I'm Garnet and I wanted to know if I can join Fairy Tail. The message was rather simple, but it summed up Garnet's thoughts quite well. Though he wasn't sure how the Guild felt about accepting somebody like him.

Arcadia tilted her head to one side, mildly confused. She read over Garnet's phone, finally smiling and bowing apologetically once she thought to have figured out. "Oh. I'm sorry! I didn't realize you couldn't speak. That's pretty awesome iLac you got there. Here let me add my number to your contacts, and then you don't havta keep showing the screen on your iLac. I can just look at mine."

The young slayer slipped her iLac back out of her pocket, and slid her contacts list open. She tapped to add a contact before showing Garnet the empty fields on her screen after typing 'Garnet' into the name field. "Or you can give me your number and then you should get mine when I send you a message. Also no worries. Welcome to Fairy Tail! I'll see if I can alert Master Sorano or one of our Aces. Then I can show you all the juices we got at the bar. They're hella sweet. I think they're even better frozen into slushies or popsicles though."

She'd wait for the inkling to enter his number into her phone to or show it to her on his, hoping he understood most of what she just said. With one free hand she's hail the fairy behind the reception desk. Little Arcadia hopped and waved to be seen over the counter, explaining to it how they had a new visitor wanting to join, and hoped the fairy would be able to find the guild master or an ace.

The girl apologised to Garnet, though he didn't feel like it was neccessary. He could speak, just not the language in question. The Inkling also thought it would be kind of tough for him to learn to speak a new language. The only reason he could understand the written version was that a part of letters was similar to his language and he just filled in the rest. He was glad that Arcadia liked his phone, though. She called it an 'iLac'. He wondered if they called phones like that, here. The girl offered to type in her number into his contacts, but then suggested that he could type his in her phone. With a nod, Garnet took Arcadia's iLac into his hands and typed in his number. He wasn't sure if it worked in this world's network, but he hoped it did. After he typed in his number, he would hand the iLac back to its owner.

Afterwards, Arcadia waved at the desk that he was going to approach, before he got approached instead. The girl was explaining the situation to a fairy, or whatever it was that seemed to be behind the desk, as he looked around the interior a little bit more. The interior itself had a sort of cozy feel. The juices she mentioned earlier sounded nice, he figured that the other desk, on the other side of the room handled that. Though he assumed that a large portion of the building was accessible exclusively to members of the Guild. Garnet was hoping that Fairy Tail would let him join them, as he could use a place a stay, at least for the time being.

After Garnet handed back her iLac, she quickly typed up a little message to send to his phone to ensure he had her number too.

Testing. Testing. You should have my number now.

She smiled over to Garnet, "That should do it, if it went through. And the fairy should be sending word out to Master Sorano and all the aces. Just depends which one of them is closest who gets here first or can come along now. You wanna try some of Fairy Tail's juices. I can make it into a slushie if you want, but they're still pretty good not frozen."

Little Arcadia would lead the way over toward the bar, [color=#28b463]"I odn't know if it always was, but it's kinda tradition to have juice while you wait for the master or an ace. I did and most everyone I've met joining since I did has to! Fell free tohave a seat. I think we have pretty much every flavor of juice that exists in Earthland, so we should have whatever kind you can think of."/color]

She left her iLac on the bar in front of her so she could read his response more easily. The slayer ordered a mix of watermellon-strawberry juice for herself, slowly stirring and concentrating magic power into her hand to chill it through her glass into slushie.

Sorano walked in the door, brushing the dust off her hands. She’d made a visit to that lovely boba place on main street today, having realized how much of an indoors person she seemed to be becoming. Spending all that time reading and writing in her office surely wasn’t a healthy thing to do, and thus she had made the decision to get out, and say hello to some old friendly faces. The old lady who ran the shop had been more than happy to see her former regular customer come on in, though she did give the guild master quite an earful for having stayed away so long. Having enjoyed her drink, and come on in, the letter mage was now ready to get back to work.

However, upon entering, Sorano’s dark eyes instantly picked out the new face in the quiet interior of the hall. New members were not too common an occurrence, and as such, seeing someone like that was always a welcome sight. Moving towards the bar, the guild master would be interrupted by a fairy. Chittering to her in that strange fae language, the letter mage nodded solemnly. It seemed that Arcadia, who was seated next to the stranger had alerted the fairies to carry a message to her, huh. Thanking the mythical creature with a shallow bow, Sorano turned and moved towards the bar.

“Hello Arcadia, how are you? And hello to you as well.” The letter mage quickly greeted the newcomer as well as her guildmate, trying her best to appear friendly despite her monotonous voice. “I heard you called for me?”

(I know Eero's on hiatus right now, but wanted to get this post in for when he comes back :>)
