Misadventures of a Country Girl [Veve/Private] Empty Misadventures of a Country Girl [Veve/Private]

Post by Lehanna Seraph 23rd August 2018, 9:34 am

Mountain climbing always seemed to be the most relaxing thing that Sasha could come up with when she wanted to just have a casual time enjoying some little activity. it wasn't entirely too much when she was just training her body and mind instead of her magic, which was the one thing which she needed to do the most lately. Not really letting it bother her much, she took to the mountain cliffs to keep her mind off the subject and onto something a little more at ease for what she was hoping to get to. Not that it took her long once she had some distance off the ground for her to focus on other things, she couldn't help but look up to the next thing to hold onto her for her life.

Reaching the top of what she thought was a flat terrain, she imagined she might have a laugh if she met Vincent on top of the mountain area here again, though that would be a little too creepy if they seemed to have met the same way twice in a row. However, this time seemed a little different. In a bit of a distance from the cliffside stood a large castle. taking an interest in the structure, the southern gal climbed over the edge and stood up, brushing the dirt from her clothes and then placing a hand on the sword to her side. It looked hard to tell if it had been abandoned or occupied, but she'd never been in one in person to tell. Sasha opened the doors and stepped slowly inside, shutting the doors behind her before she started to look around for something, maybe someone. "This place looks creepier than the inside of Uncle Sal's blackberry pie..." She muttered, taking her hand off the hilt of her weapon while still walking around curiously.

The triangular ‘sticker’ on the door was well used to people coming in and out of the massive fortress. The flat shape enjoyed being the watchdog when resting and was ready to pounce on a newcomer at any point. After all, the triangle had proclaimed itself to be the ‘welcoming committee’. Even if Ahote disapproved of them having the official self-given title and position, the nightmare took no notice. Someone had to do the job and they had stolen the guildmark stamp used to place tattoos on new members. Because Ahote had not yet taken it back, it proved that they were more than capable and worthy of the role.

The one who just entered the guildhall was no Basilisk Fang member that the Dreamweaver could recognize. Instantly curious, the triangular flat thing on the door peeled itself off once the person had shut the doors behind her and continued to walk. The nightmare changed its shape instantly to the form of a rather unique, impressionistic black cat wearing an indian red bandana. Curiously, it would float over to the blonde and hover over her head without a single scent or sound or stirring of the air with its movements. Poking its head downward, the nightmare would try to catch the blonde’s attention and stare into her eyes with its own black slitted ones. Casually, the feline’s tail would attempt to poke the top of the woman’s head as it floated upside down to peer at her without a word.

The only sounds that Sasha could hear as she stepped through this place were her own footsteps, and they were light at that. She was trying to be cautious, but at the same time not be too fast as to be loud enough for a person to hear and not too slow as to be caught by anyone that may actually be around. It was a hard thing for someone who never had to worry about sneaking around to try and do so. Though, the longer she spent in here, the odder it felt to her about what was happening. The feeling that she could be caught by someone and then she be stuck in some unfamiliar place like a trapped animal. In some ways, the paranoia seemed to help her see and hear better, but it also hindered her by starting to make her think she was hearing things or seeing random figures coming toward her. Shaking it off, she tried to keep herself composed while her little tour continued on.

As her trip through this giant place seemed nearly never ending, she started to have this sensation. As though she were being watched... and really intently. Looking all around her, she couldn’t see anyone there, so she had just chalked it up to her being paranoid again and tried to brush it off. Yet... she felt something soft poking at the back of her neck. In a panicked jump, she looked behind her, her hand grasped onto the hilt of her sword only to find nothing there. Sighing in a slight bit of an aggravation in herself for getting worked up, she rubbed the back of her head and turned around. Suddenly, she let out a loud yelp and jumped, falling onto her rear end. ”Good lord, cat! Y’all can’t be sneakin’ up on..., people...” As her sentence came to a halt part way through, she looked up and noticed the cat was floating in the air, which contrary to others beliefs that knew her, she knew didn’t happen. ”My, Ive seen weird things in my life... this is definitely up there in like the top 3, prolly right under Aunt Freida’s underarms...” She laughed a little, standing up. ”That ain’t somethin’ I wish on anyone to be near... ”

The black-furred feline blinked when the blonde suddenly fell over from the tap of its tail on her head. It was funny to watch people get so spooked. Each and every time, it gave the Dreamweaver a jolt of a tasty fear sample. All they had to do to get more of it was dig it up out of the person. Hopefully that would not be too difficult for this one, regardless of if they were joining the guild or not. The physical contact had given the nightmare a fresh download of just who the girl was… she had once had an odd obsession with rabbits. How interesting~

While the felid dream would have liked to continue being quiet and observing the blonde in silence, there was no way they would reap any fruit from not communicating verbally. The unique vocabulary of the charming girl intrigued the Dreamweaver, who had yet to meet anyone who spoke like such. Underarms? Well, they most certainly could be nasty. The surreal being noted to keep that thought in mind for future building blocks. Crossing its two tiny forelegs, the floating cat nodded in agreement with the girl, who held the name Sasha Martin, Knight of Justice.

“What brings a knight to these parts?” the cat asked in a tone where gender could not be established. Its dark-furred tail twitched in curiosity. It highly doubted that the woman was here for Basilisk Fang, but it would be better to hear it straight from the mouth of the southern-voiced person. After all, new guildmates were equivalent to a neverending sandwich that did not so easily run away.

Post by Lehanna Seraph 28th August 2018, 7:56 pm

It was still a rather mind boggling thing that this cat or ghost cat thing not only could touch her and she feel it, but it was floating in the air! Or.. maybe the important parts were in reverse... Well, that didn't matter so much as it was that she wasn't repulsed or afraid of it because of that. Instead, she had seemed really intrigued by it and thought to maybe wanting to pick it up out of the air and hold the little black cat. Yet, she quickly opted not to since even as a kid she was scolded about picking up stray cats. Perhaps this was one of those strays who hadn't had its shot and could carry a ghostly version of rabies! No no... that was ridiculous. Rabies don't turn into ghost rabies.......... or did it? Maybe she should ask and find out? It was a ghost... was it? Sasha shook her head of the presumptuous thoughts she kept collecting in her mind and stood up from her rear end being seated on the ground despite the bit of comfort there was in the ground.

Her hands moved back and forth, patting off dust that collected on her clothes and legs before she'd looked up to the cat in the strange way it mocked the folded arms of a person. "Oh my god, that's such an adorable look!" She quickly yelled out before the cat had its chance to speak, which quickly stopped the blonde Knight-to-be in her tracks. She leaned her head in toward the cat and she had this obvious look of disbelief and surprise on her face. "Uh.. Y'all.. can talk?" She first questioned, not even phased in the moment at it knowing her being a Knight. This time, she literally had shaken her head in a light manner as the thought popped into her head about the comment itself and her head backed away, straightening up with the rest of her body. "How is it y'all know I'm a Knight? I never told you my name..." Something felt... odd about this.

The more her mind circled the thought, the closer her hand drew towards the hilt of her weapon, starting to feel like she was catching onto whatever it was this cat was. "If I was to humor the question... I was mountain climbing and happen 'pon this place. Guess curiosity got the better of me. If I was intrudin' I can leave and give my deepest apologies." Her hand gripped to the handle, she suddenly laughed a little with a big grin on her face. "'Sides! I ain't an official Knight by council rights. I'm still makin' a name for mahself little-by-little. It's more of like a self-claimed title to call myself a Knight of Justice!" She continued her proud grinning smile before the cat, though her hand laid on the weapon should she meet the chance to use it, though she hoped it was just a mental misunderstanding.

Misadventures of a Country Girl [Veve/Private] Original

The feline suspected that the blonde would find it adorable-- humans were so easily to forecast. Some subjects were hit or miss, with a part chance something would actually scare them. However, something that never failed was a one hundred percent chance of cute factor. The cat only nodded as the woman went on about how it could talk, forelegs still crossed and tail twitching in amusement behind it.

The Dreamweaver chose to disregard the question regarding how it knew her name and what she was. She would learn in due time, after all. “Oh no no no~” the black cat purred politely in its childlike gender-neutral tone. “There’s no need to apologize, but I should escort you to a better place than this boring ol’ fortress.”

With its words, the scenery around them began to change; once again they were outdoors on the same mountain. However, this time they were in a complex settlement of wooden houses, dirt roads, and slums. The air was cold once more, but the nightmare personally did not feel it. “This is the Mount Hakobe Settlement,” the black cat explained. “It’s a ways away from the fortress, but still shares the mountain. It’s better you’re here and don’t run into the owner of the fortress-- he’s a frightening little one. I saw him hold a small girl straight by the hair and threaten her.”

Of course, Ahote was far from the most threatening person, but at least the nightmare’s story held true. There was no reason to lie, anyways. The woman did not have the intention to join, so the guild of Basilisk Fang would not be so welcoming of her. As such, the Dreamweaver planned to have fun instead. After a pause, the cat continued its talk. “The Knight of Justice, eh?” it asked with an amused purr, floating closer to the blonde’s face. Slowly, its mouth would open to reveal a wide cheshire grin. “Don’t you think “The Knight of Injustice” sounds a bit more realistic?”

Slitted pupils beamed with fresh curiosity and excitement. The cat's paws were held up in a casual shrug. “Think about it, there’s no such thing as justic in this world, or any world. So it’s a useless goal that will leave your life unsatisfactory. Why not go for something just a little easier and more realistic?”

Sasha didn't seem to bother trying to really challenge the feline floating above her. Partly it was that she didn't want to hurt a cat, but also cause it was really cool that it could talk and float in the air! Honestly, if she could be reborn, it would be into a super cat like this one in front of her, but for now she would just enjoy living the life she had with a lot of joy and potential. Though now that it was mentioned, the idea of heading to another location sounded like a really fun idea. Was it maybe another room in this place they were in? Or perhaps a little area outside? There were a number of possibilities, but none of them she had come to expect when the area all around her began to shift before her eyes. Her iris' lit up and widened from this sudden change of scenery. "Woooaaahh!" She couldn't help but verbally react aloud from the sudden shift.

The scene around her was rather alluring to an extent to the eyes. Seeing that she was following the feline, but not so much going anywhere at this moment until she got a small lesson on the area they had come to. "How horrible! If I got my hands on him, I'd cut his frickin' hands off for hurting that girl!" She spouted loudly and with a bit of annoyance in her voice. Then the cat suddenly brought up her earlier title. Taking curiosity in what it was talking about, it had recommended a rather farce and absurd coming. "Are y'all smokin' on some hemp? That's a lil' bit of a slap in my face to think I'd turn like that." She placed her hands defiantly onto her hips, showing the amount of attention she truly gave to this. As the black cat brought up a reason of no world being "without any justice" she albeit laughed in its face. "If y'all say there ain't no justice in this world, I guess I'll just have to be the first to do so, now won't I?~" With a big grin, she had been rather proud to show her pure intentions weren't going to be swayed by a bit of talking.

The Dreamweaver chuckled at the comment on Ahote. Indeed he had threatened Akeldama as punishment for her scooping out Theo’s eye at the nightmare’s command. The truth remained and was fun to use against the guild master. Amusement lighting up the slitted pupils of the cat, they noted that the blonde might eventually get the chance to do just that to the guild master of Basilisk Fang if everything went according to keikaku.

“Define ‘Justice’, in your eyes,” the feline responded simply with a request, its tail twitching in curiosity. Subtly, it would begin to bring a few tools from the unworld of surreality to where it floated. Fine, almost unseeable strings would begin to float down around the two. There were not many strings and they were as fine as a spider’s threads. It would take fair concentration to be able to see them and assume that were were anything but what they appeared. The Dreamweaver had full control of them, but was not ready to utilize them just yet. “Does ‘Justice’ mean not killing people, or protecting the innocent? But what if you killed someone who was innocent-- would you remain a being of ‘Justice’ any longer?” the black cat asked innocently in its childlike voice, forelegs dangling down towards the earth as it pushed its curious face closer to the blonde.

Post by Lehanna Seraph 2nd September 2018, 12:52 pm

What did justice mean to her? What was this cat getting at? Well, she knew that each person’s view of “justice” meant something else, so perhaps this was a regular assessment to see what kind of person she was to want to call herself a “Knight of Justice”. Under that logic, she had no ill reason to say anything against the question being that it made sense to her why it had to be asked. ”It starts honestly with all them cliché types a justice; defendin’ the weak, stoppin’ evil in its tracks. All that neat jibber jabber.” She replied, taking a pause and waving that off as something that wasn’t the core of her reason. ”My sense of justice is making the world a better place for everyone. People not NEEDING to be greedy to get more things because everyone else isn’t stricken in poverty and beggin for change for they next meal. It’s something everyone can walk streets at night, durin’ the day, holidays, and so on without havin’ to worry bout gettin’ mugged, raped, beaten, murdered over some senseless thing like money, or looks, or revenge. I want people to ENJOY life, not live in fear of it!” The radiance is determination in her eyes, her voice, her aura even flared. This was her driving factor and she wouldn’t want to change it for anything.

Suddenly things took a bit of a harsh left turn. The black feline had asked her about her killing people to preserve justice. ”Honestly, Umm.. cat, I do not believe in being justified in murder. I know it’s not something one can swear off of and keep to it their whole lives, but I dun believe that you can do it without any cause fearing for your own life without killing someone. And even then! You have alternatives to killing someone. Non-lethal actions that I do believe can keep one pure of their beliefs.” She giggled happily, much like a child who just rolled around in the mud cause it was fun and amusing to themself.

The feline listened on to the rambling with great amusement. Once someone was started on a subject they were passionate about, they tended to go on for monologues and monologues. This was good, the bigger the building, the higher the fall, the larger the crash, the more massive the destruction. Alternatives to killing someone? That was most certainly true, at least for the ravenous Dreamweaver.

Giving a few laughing purrs, the floating back cat nodded. “Perfect! Follow me~” the nightmare exclaimed, clapping its paws together happily before floating off down one street. It would attempt to lead the blonde to a dark alleyway. There sat one miserable homeless person, almost half dead by the snow. The Dreamweaver would teach the knight the definition of ‘mercy’ when it came to the cruel world of reality. If Sasha followed, the cat would face her, hovering a few feet above the sitting and defenseless man. “Alright, Sasha,” the feline purred, an innocent smile on its fuzzy face, whiskers twitching in glee. It said the blonde’s name, despite not being introduced for the fun of more shock factor. “Kill him~” the cat continued simply, pointing a paw down at the homeless man of the rotting Mount Hakobe Settlements.

Hearing the cat find her cause to be a perfect thing, she wasn’t too sure if it had been a good thing or a bad thing. Was this cat some kind of holy being looking for pure souls to grant good fortune to? Of a cat of misdeeds and deceit here to turn her against her beliefs? Or maybe the cat was in need of someone who could help it with something that it couldn’t do itself. Thigh that idea seemed exhausted from the list when it could change their surroundings at whim, so it wasn’t that bad. ”So what is it y’all need from-” She stopped as the darker area of the alleyway became clearer to see and a cold, homeless man sat there. The blonde girl looked up in shock as she was ordered to kill him. ”Have y’all lost yer damn mind!? You ask me bout killin’ then expect me to turn against what I believe anyway!?” She grew angry rather quickly by this and walked close, drawing her sword with the intent to do something... just not to the homeless man. ”And why should I trust you?” She asked, her eyes solely trained on the cat as she stopped, keeping herself at a bit of a distance from the cat and homeless man until she knew what was happening for sure.

The feline tilted its head as Sasha spoke, having anticipated her reaction. “Absolutely!” the cat purred in response to the blonde’s rhetorical questions. Once more its paws were thrown up in a casual shrug as it spoke, shaking its head slightly. “This is one of those poor unfortunate souls of the mountain. No real life, no purpose, only constant suffering. Wouldn't it be a mercy to put him out of his misery?” the Dreamweaver asked, eyes closed briefly in sympathy before they reopened to see that the ‘knight’ had drawn her sword. “It’s another kind of justice. He isn’t enjoying this life, so it’s the nicest thing any of us can do~”

At the last question the blonde had, the black cat only floated closer and lifted a paw. One of the strings from before would surround her neck, tightening slightly so she would know of its presence. “Because why not~?” the nightmare would coo, the string being enough of an implication as to what would happen if she did not. Her entire life was on the line… literally.

This cat was truly insane! It was trying to convince her that a mercy killing was still justified!? No! That wasn’t something for her, nor would she ever do something so horrific no matter what was on the line. Her uniquely colored eyes shifted towards the shivering cold, homeless man then back to the cat whom floated over it before she gave a rather aggressive glare. ”There are a number of different things you can do besides killing a man and calling it a merciful justice! Why not help him down the mountain and help him get into a place like a homeless shelter! You don’t know if he could be someone that could change the future, so every life is precious and deserves a chance to see it through to its fullest!” She screamed, her emotions fueling her to want to act. Yet, before she could, something had wrapped around her neck and gave a small tug. She paused and her sudden look of shock and fear from it made her want to lash out, but instead the cat again egged her on to commit this act. ”Then if you want to kill me instead, do it! I’ll die being a noble person before I live a life of murder and chaos!” She declared, her arms outstretched to the side and willing to cast her life aside for even a homeless man.

Smirking at the monologue, the Dreamweaver simply floated a few feet above the knight, just out of range of her blade. Slitted pupils fixed themselves on the blonde. She was quite amusing, believing that it was worthwhile for there to be good in the world. Perhaps there could be reason for such a thing, but that was far from a good solution for the hungry nightmare who wanted nothing more than just to absorb the loads of negative energy that reality had to offer. The mild bits of fear coming from the homeless man and the anger from the knight were enticing samples of what was to come. The knight, in particular,  possessed anger of a unique flavor-- just how tasty would her fear be?

“Why would I do that?” the black cat purred, raising a paw again for the thin strings to stab into her joints and bones, so thin that she would hardly bleed. However, if the nightmare were successful, they would gain full control of the knight’s body. There was no reason to kill the knight for disobeying its orders. Utilizing the strings, the Dreamweaver would begin to puppeteer the human girl. “See, what a lovely puppet you make~!” the cat gave an overjoyed cry as it attempted to control the woman to begin moving closer to the homeless man, hands firmly gripping the blade so that she could not release it. If she somehow did, well, the death would be just that much messier.

As the self proclaimed knight started to close in on the cat, her body seemed to suddenly freeze. A sharp pain shot through her body in so many places at once, it had been hard to really tell where on there she'd felt the sources of them. Trying to move her body seemed to be impossible, grunting and shaking about to try and get free, but it seemed useless. The cat attitude had become more intent than it had been before in their meeting and bringing her here, but her body began to move on its own before she could react to anything. Trying to move against it didn't halt the movement at all, but she only could look up to the cat who was pulling at her strings. "W-What the hell are you doing!?" She asked, fighting uselessly against the felines strings. The sword in hand had pointed towards the homeless man and her first instinct would be to drop the weapon, but her muscles wouldn't move at all. It seemed to be completely paralyzed in place from the sharp pains.

Her eyes widened, watching the blade thrust forward into the mans gut. "Wait! Stop this! Stop plese!" She screamed, feeling her whole body jerked forward, her hand forced through the stab wound she had made. Being pulled back, the homeless man made a scream of agony, watching several inches of intestine coming out too, Sasha let out a loud scream from the sight. She tried to look away, but the string wrapped around her neck tightened hard against her throat and forced her to look back toward him. "W-Why are you doing this!?" She tried to get answers, but only her sword swinging upward and removing the mans left arm had his scream filling her head. "Please, no more! I'll do anything, just stop this!" Pleading only seemed to make it end faster. Her sword going through the mouth of the screaming male and through the back of his skull before it suddenly jerked upward. His skull split in half suddenly fell off, and his brains and eyes spilling out from both halves before the blonde's eyes streaming with tears from what she had been forced to watch. "W-Why..." She muttered, her eyes unable to be taken off of this horrific sight.

Playing the puppetmaster was certainly a fun role. The feline released childlike giggling as its paws controlled the woman below with thin little strings. Eagerly, it absorbed the enormous doses of fear, anger, and terror. The man was torn asunder before too long, his blood fresh on the blonde’s hands. Her pleas were adorable and only added more flavor to the large amounts of negative energy to be consumed. The deed was soon done, leaving the crying girl to scan her fresh and messy handiwork scattered on the pavement.

At her question, the feline floated down to levitate right in front of her face. “Can’t really call yourself a ‘Knight of Justice’ now, can you?” the black cat asked innocently, a ‘concerned’ smile on its muzzle. Tapping its chin in thought, the Dreamweaver decided to come up with a series of solutions. “You did a wonderful job just now-- perfect for a new title all your own! What do you think about ‘Knight of Mercy’, or perhaps ‘Knight of Terror’? If those titles don’t work… how about we call you…” the feline paused for dramatic effect, another unnaturally wide cheshire smile coming to its maw. “Murderer~”

Wallowing in a heavy mess of sorrow, anger, frustration kept her silent for a moment. The tears continued to stream down her face face and it quickly turned into an aloud crying. It sickened her that she were forced into this act, the scenes flashing through her mind over and over as it felt as though they were being burned into her mind. The cat suddenly began to mock her. Claiming with blood on her hands in both a metaphorical and literal sense had taken away her right to call herself a "Knight of Justice". She began to grind her teeth as the anger of its mocking continued on with very little care otherwise, calling her actions "wonderful!" "HOW COULD YOU CALL THAT WONDERFUL! THAT MAN DID NOTHING WRONG AND YOU FORCED MY HAND TO KILL HIM!" She shouted at the top of her lungs, her anger welled up so much that her arms shook despite her unable to control them still.

She started to turn her body against these strings treating her body like a puppet. She winced as the strings dug deeper into body, caring less as the blood started to drip from her body, trailing down her arms and legs. "I can still be a Knight of Justice.. I just..." She paused, taking a step before she dropped down to her knees, panting and unable to move against these strings any longer. "Then I just have.. to kill you!" With her emotions driving her, she tried to stand up, but it was unsuccessful to move at all anymore. She couldn't move at all, her breathing getting heavier, but at least her blood had stopped moving as fast from the wounds.

The cheshire grin only seemed to widen more as the blonde cried. Jaws parted to better absorb the immense negative energy thickly coating the air. When she shouted, a dose of anger on top of the despair was delightful to taste. It glazed the fresh course of pain in the soft and sticky sweetness of honey. The blonde then announced that she could still be a ‘Knight of Justice’ if she killed the giddy Dreamweaver.

“Didn’t you say moments ago there was no justice in murder?” the black cat asked, happy to see that it had completely changed her opinion. No matter. The feline pulled a red and white target out of midair, straight from the unworld of surreality, and held it in front of its eldritch-furred body. “Bring it, little girl. Run your blade right through me and let it make you a Knight of Justice once again~” the nightmare encouraged, wishing to see the hate and rage consume completely consume the blonde. The Dreamweaver prepared more of its unnatural surreal abilities once the girl struck. If her sword ran completely through the cat, it would no longer look as if the tip of it pierced it, but rather, it would appear the blade penetrated a family member of the blonde who would writhe and scream in agony and terror at the betrayal.

The cats very mocking of her own code had stirred her a bit of anger for a moment. It had taken but a few seconds before she had smirked a little in the midst of her lashing out. "There isn't in killing people! But you're no person at all, are you!?" With one burst of force, she pushed against the strings that tried to tie her body into immobilization. The strings dug deeply into her body now, each and every one of them, but her sword had been able to reach her mark. Even as the cat had egged her on, wanting her to try, she had given it all the strength left to her name both physically and mentally to strike this cat and end its life from tormenting her. With it, she could avenge the death of the homeless man she'd been forced to strike down- no, eviscerate seemed like the better term to go by in this case.

As her blade finally struck the airborne feline, Sasha's eyes widened. "N-No.." Her eyes trailed down the tip of the blade to her own hand before it had gone back up to the body it was lunged through. "H-How.. P-Papa..." She muttered, a tear streaming down her face as her body gave out and with it the sword left his body. She collapsed onto her knees, sword clanging on the cold ground as the older males body had landed on the ground as well. He screamed and writhed around, screaming constantly and begging for her help. Sasha couldn't move and the action itself had felt like her voice was stolen from her. She didn't know what to do anymore, or even if she could do anything. Nothing moved for her no matter what she tried to do, only left with the option of watching her father die in front of her-- by her hand no less.
