    New Cat in Town [Open/Social]

Post by Leila Moon on Tue Apr 03, 2018 6:30 am

Her long, pitch-black hair danced as it caught in the wind, along with her white coat's two tails that reached her all the way down to her ankles. Atop her head, her two cat ears twitched as she heard the sounds of people moving around her. She moved down the stone road with purpose, every inch of her radiating proudly as she ignored the stares of townsfolk. It wasn't long till she reached her destination, she stopped, eyeing it with interest.

Leila had heard many things about an extraordinary guild, although not all of it was positive, she wanted to find out for herself just what these people were like. She knew it would be far easier to  grow stronger with the help of other mages, training alone only offered so much. As such she now found herself in Magnolia, standing before an enormous guild hall, that resembled an office, the fairy tail emblem above the entrance. She'd be lying to herself if she said she wasn't impressed, at least she would have the space to be alone when she needed it in a place so big and spacious.

Leila had initially planned to enter at night, using the shadows to lurk, but she had ultimately chosen against it. She didn't wish to make enemies with the people she was hoping would one day be her comrades. It had taken a lot of time to decide that this was the guild for her, but to be honest, it ended up the best option. She could complete missions she deemed worthy and still have the opportunity to get to know people from dark guilds, she despised them, but it would allow her the opportunity to gather information and ultimately find the one she searched for.

Leila realised she'd been standing in front of the guild hall lost in thought for some time now and quickly made her move, stepping confidently through the doors as her yellow eyes scanned the wizards inside, searching for someone who looked like they may hold the power to add her to the ranks of Fairy Tail.

It was a normal day for Haru, but he was checking his account Via his iLacrima and he was running lower than he'd want too on funds. He needed a better way to make more money. So that he could fulfill his dream of founding an actual city. Like Ardere had before him. But how, how could he pull off such a vision without the funding to do so.

Sitting thinking to himself about this, and his future great city-state; his thinking was interrupted by his Exceed. "Plotting again?" she said as she sipped on a soda, standing on the nearby table her cute form looking at him inquisitively. "Hmph, nothing like that!" he said in retort as she only giggled.

He was getting more anxious to go on jobs that paid more jewels. However, his thoughts were interrupted by a pretty Neko girl just looking around. Upon a few more moments, he smelled magic coming from her, as his nose wiggled. He could actually smell magic now, a new ability he'd picked up as his magic became more and more powerful. Was she a mage? Maybe she was here looking for help on a Job? Or maybe she was here to join the guild? Either way, he figured he'd go and talk to her. He would then walk up to her, with his arms crossed and simply give a "Hey there." uncrossing his arms, he'd wave with one hand. "I'm Haru.....don't worry about all the commotion; as a mercenary guild we've got alotta contracts going on at any given time; half of these folks are probably just clients." he said as he motioned around the room at all the people going to and fro in the busy guild after introducing himself. He had his usual serious expression on, but spoke again. "Oh, I'm one of the mages here by the way...." he then gave her a nod.

Rose over on the table, looked on. Fuming that he was talking to another cat at all. Even though Exceed's and Neko's were totally different. She was still a cat. A rival cat at that.

It was a full month since her father had last passed away and Rina was beginning to feel fresh and full of light. Even as she thought of the word light, she chuckled to herself as she thought of her newly formed powers. Although they were not completely in yet, Rina had felt the light shining through the darkness of her heart. She put her hands through her hair as the silky blond, almost white, hair flowed down with a brilliant glow. As she walked around the office building she called home, she felt the scepter she had attached to her belt as it shook vibrantly. This was new to Rina but she could feel the magic of what it was being drawn to. It was odd like a new mage had just arrived. With that thought, Rina perked up and smiled as she hoped to leave a good impression on the newly found mage.

As Rina looked around for the sense, she made a turn by the bar to see Heero, her fellow comrade she had never met but seen, and someone new but strange. Her hair was as dark as the ooze she had to face off from when she had gone to the Heaven's Garden. Within the magic of this girl was a strange sensation of darkness. Mer could feel her heart straining away from this new form of life, but Rina had to meet the new member against her own will as a member of Fairy Tail. She knew she wouldn't be herself without a light and joyful meeting so she tried to control the light within her and continued walking forward.

As she walked up to the new member, she had begun to realize the cat-like features of the girl. She seemed to have cat ears along with 1 tail that moved around. It was odd to Rina but she had seen weirder, such as mysterious creatures used to test her strength, black ooze consuming her soul, and a goddess of light. Rina should've had no problem with this girl but there was yet so much she found odd about her.

From the realization that she was staring at the 2 mages, Rina recollected herself and said with an awkward voice, "Hiya, how are you two doing?" As she brought out her hands with a perk in her step, she said with a gentle smile to the newly beheld girl, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Rina Everglades one of the B ranked mages here and it would be very nice if you could introduce yourself because I really would like to know more about you. I really hope I'm not coming off too strong but I love seeing this guild grow and flourish with new members." Rina then silenced herself before she made a bigger fool out of herself than she already was. Rina was so excited she could feel her magical presence glow with the excitement of her curiosity.

Leila turned her head, her body stiffening as she noticed someone approach her with their arms crossed, they appeared to be a red-haired male. If she had to guess they would be around her age, but Leila knew better than to judge people by appearance. Leila's yellow eyes watched him with interest as he unfolded his arms to wave and say hello and introduce himself. She could feel his magical energy around him, it was somewhat warm, like a fire she could easily curl up and fall asleep next to on a cold winter's day. The raven-haired female took in his words, listening intently. So he was a mage here? He would definitely be of some use to her then.

"Leila." the neko girl replied, her own serious expression mimicking the boys, "I was hoping to talk to your guild master, or at least someone with authority." Leila continued, her yellow eyes staring into the boys green ones. However, at that point someone else approached, someone whose presence made Leila feel on edge, however, she did her best not to show it in her face or motions. Instead she simply stared at them emotionlessly, hiding her contempt. As the mage introduced herself however, Leila let herself relaxed, she didn't have anything to fear from those she considered future guild mates, as long as she was accepted into the guild that was. Leila even forced herself to smile slightly, so as to appear more friendly, she needed to ensure she was on their good side after all.

"Leila Moon." She repeated herself, not afraid to look directly into the eyes of the newcomer, not wanting to show rudeness or weakness to a mage who was clearly stronger than her. A B-rank, huh? Leila was fairly sure she would be able to match the female mage's strength with a bit more practice. "I was just saying to your comrade here that I was hoping to speak to someone with authority in the guild. If it wouldn't be too much trouble I wish to join your ranks as a new member of Fairy Tail." Leila spoke clearly and with confidence. She'd heard a lot about the guild and she was fairly certain she possessed enough ability to join them. Only after she finished talking did she glance around the room once more, her yellow eyes resting upon an interesting site, a red exceed. She had heard tales about them, but never met one herself and this one seemed to be in a bit of a huff over something, but Leila wasn't sure what.

As he spotted one of his guildmates walking up, he would turn sideways so they were in a circle. Now he had two pretty girls around him. Time to be stoic! No, just be yourself you fool. As he was thinking this, the woman introduced herself.

Haru smiled a small smile as she introduced herself. Crossing his arms as usual, he would nod to the new woman. He'd seen her around the guild hall running to and fro, talking to some people. He knew she was a mage here, but never properly met her. She was a fellow B-class mage here at the guild. The same rank as he was. Although he would probably be A-class soon with Noheme's training. "Hey, there." he knew her name before she said it. "Haru Reyold, incase you didn't know." he said with his usual serious expression on. "Yes, I'm sure Ezra, Mura, or even the master herself will come down and see you soon." as he looked her over, he was curious as to what type of magic this girl could use. But his attention was drawn away from her by Rose landing on his shoulder. "So....why's she here?" Rose asked him quietly. "To join and become and official mage." as he said this, Rose got an 'OH NO' expression, as Haru quickly turned back to look at Leila. She was losing him already. However, all she could do now was pout about her potentially not being his favorite cat anymore.

"So Leila, you have family in Joya?" he asked, his usual serious expression not breaking, although on the inside he was very curious about her. "And where are you from Rina?" he might as well take the time to know both of these lovely ladies. As he stood conversing with them both he would notice several of the men in the guild were looking over at them, giving Haru a thumbs up or a nod of a certain type as Haru tried to wave them off; with an 'it's not like that' look. "Looks like you guys are both a hit with the boys." he said as he nodded around the room a few times. When they both weren't looking, Haru would look down and judge who's booty was bigger. Deciding they were both pretty thick, he would look away before they noticed. "Can't imagine why." he said as he kept his arms crossed while looking away. "Anyways.....when you do join, I'll always have your back. So will you, right Rose?" he said looking up on his shoulder, as his Exceed had been just staring a hole through Leila. "Of course, Fairy Tail mages have each other's back. We're known for it." she said it in a droll tone that didn't seem authentic, but she was serious enough to mean it. Since she put guild values before personal rivalries. Her white Fairy Tail emblem on her left shoulder contrasting her red fur greatly. Haru would roll up his right sleeve and show Leila his dark blue Fairy Tail logo on his right shoulder. "This mark means that you're never alone, if you don't want to be that is. That you're a member of the famous guild, the mercenaries of the world; Fairy Tail." he would then let his sleeve fall down and nod at Leila, giving her a rare small smile. "Although...for some reason, I feel like you could kick some serious ass all on your own......there are tons of solo contracts here if that's your kind of thing. Some clients like to keep things discreet and not hire a fleet of wizards and mages to get the job done, ya know." that was one thing about Fairy Tail that Haru himself loved. There was something for everyone. Legal and Illegal jobs were found here, the sky truly was the limit in Magnolia once more thanks to their guild. You could be who you wanted as a mage here. A hero, a villain, or a literal mercenary who would do what he or she wanted for payment of some kind. Who would Leila be. What would the name Leila Moon carry with her in the future. Only time would tell.

With the sound of a question coming from Haru, Rina felt a bit of pain in her body from the word "home" but she decided to answer the question. As she spoke she said to the redhead, "I was actually born in Magnolia where I was homeless. Although we were on the streets, my family and I were so close until-" With that Rina was cut off by hearing some sort of cat call as she saw a few guys winking at Rina and others looking straight at Haru giving a thumbs up. As Rina looked down, she tried to stop herself but instead, she felt overcome with anger as she threw a shoe at one of the perverted men.

As she threw it she realized what she had done, and with the sincerest apology she said to him, "I'm so sorry for that, please forgive me." As she looked around, the men seemed shocked by the sudden burst of anger from Rina. She walked back to her little group and apologized for her rash behavior. She had a feeling of heartache from her father but she didn't want to bring it up, not at this time. Oddly enough she didn't think anyone noticed because when she came back his little exceed was out and they were having a conversation with Leila.

Rina looked at her lacrima clock and realized she was late for a job she was going to do earlier that day. She yelped as she ran out the door and yelled to the newer member and shouted out, "Hope you have a good day but I have a job to do. Hope you like the guild!" As she burst through the door she fell flat on her face as a rock blocked her way. When she looked back through the glass door, Rina saw many of the other guild members within the hall staring at her awkwardly. As she looked up she made a peace sign and went on her way.

Leila flicked her ears slightly, stiffening as she narrowed her yellow eyes, watching the scarlet exceed approach and talk to Haru. Well, that sort of explained why she had been staring earlier, clearly this flying cat creature was attached to the flaming, red-haired human, but it didn't quite explain why the stares had seemed so... hostile. "Oh, um.." Leila snapped out of her thoughts, blushing a bit as she got flustered over at getting distracted, but still hiding the rest of her emotions behind a straight-faced mask, "Yes, I was actually born in Joya." Leila answered, a little surprised that he knew of her homeland. She cursed internally at herself, it shouldn't be surprising to find out a wizard knows of other lands, it's just common sense to do your research on places.

Leila listened carefully to Rina's sad tale, she knew what it was like to be left without a home, although her circumstances were quite different. However, before the female could finish her story she suddenly went and threw her shoe at one of the men in the guild. Leila hadn't been paying attention to anyone outside their little circle of three and was quite shocked and unsure about what exactly had just happened. Haru had mentioned something about the two females being a hit with the boys, she narrowed her eyes at the remark, she had no time for their childish games. However she was still quite shocked at Rina's reaction and before she could fully comrehend the mage mentioned needing to be somewhere. "Um, bye." Leila muttered as the green-haired girl went to make her way outside, only to come crashing down, her face meeting the ground, Leila didn't want to appear rude, so she stifled her laughter, turning in a way that Rina wouldn't be able to see her holding it in. What a weird person.

Once the commotion wore down, Leila straightened her face and found herself once more speaking alone to the ruby-haired male and the exceed whose fur seemed to match. It was then she noticed that the one Haru called 'Ruby' was staring at her with what appeared to be intense hatred. Leila wondered what she had done upset her, honestly she had no clue. "Well I can't wait to be a part of such a wonderful community then." Leila responded, "And, don't worry, while I like my alone time, I'm not completely adverse to the idea of teaming up to get a job done." she finished with a devilish smile and a wink in Haru's direction, waiting to see if that would get some sort of reaction out of him. Leila needed information after all and the best way was working with people, plus while she was fairly confident of her abilities she knew she'd require the help of stronger mages for more difficult missions in order to make a living.

When Haru asked Rina about her parents, he instantly regretted it as he felt his emotions stir. He'd grown up in Terra Ignis with only his mom; and ran off from home to go and try and become a legal mage all that time ago. He and his mother hadn't even spoken in a very long time. He looked at the floor when he heard they lived on the street; his fist balling up in anger. No one should have to go through that. "Rina, I'll always be here for y---" when she hit someone in the face by taking off a shoe and throwing it at them he would stop talking.

She would however look at the time and then run off, saying she was late for a Job. Nodding to her, as he felt himself getting emotional and was thankful for her leaving he would give a rare smile as she left and nod to her as she went to collect her thrown shoe. However, when she fell down he would step forward almost moving to go and help her up because he cared about her. But she got up quickly and took off. Rose had been staring at Leila, and soon her expression changed as she realized it would be nice to have another feline to keep Haru in check. The teenager absolutely adored cats; something Rose used to her advantage when trying to get him to do something.

"Sorry for looking at you like that, Leila. It's just...you know, another cat." with that, Rose's voice would change to her normal cute one. Although she was an H-class mage, she was honestly competitive and maternal at the same time. "Maybe you can help me keep this one in check." she said as she patted Haru's head from his shoulder, causing him to furrow his brow in irritation. "Oh? Ready to make moves already are we?" she said in reply to Leila's statement. "Well didn't you change your tune quickly....." as Haru said this a harsh paw would smack him on the head as he winced and rubbed his head. "Team up with you huh?" he looked at her as his teenage hormones took over, his eyes settling on her rack and then her hips. Blushing as he looked away. She was pretty, and a cat. He had to be dreaming right now. Two of his favorite things combined into one. "I guess I could do worse for a partner.....I'm a fire mage myself." he said giving her a thumbs up, as his thumb actually caught on fire briefly; then went out, as his thumb continued to smoke. "You seem confident enough.....what kinda mage are you anyway?"

    Althea Eventide ❆ Fairy Tail ❆ D-Rank

Althea sipped her juice from its carton, leaning leisurely on the bar’s surface.  She was on an interval from when she finished a job and then accepted a new one, after all if you always adventure it won’t feel exciting anymore.  She wanted to keep exploring forever, but she’d have to wait for a bit between them in order to keep the feeling fresh.  The wizard finished with her drink, tossing it into a garbage can before requesting another one from the bartender.  Althea waited as they reached into a closet, removing another box of blackberry juice from it.  Taking it enthusiastically, Althea shoved the plastic bendy straw in to the carton before starting on her seventh drink.  She hadn’t tried anything from the bar beforehand, but now Althea was content with only drinking juice for the rest of her life.

But the wizard’s simple glee as she relished in the taste of her drink was interrupted as she noticed a new presence in the guild hall.  She had made an effort to at least make herself familiar with everyone’s magic, but this one was unfamiliar.  It kind of reminded Althea of belladonna, subtle but deadly.  Removing her focus from what was right in front of her, Althea scanned the hall for the source, her eyes landing on someone who appeared to be a newcomer.  After all, not many wizards came in the Fairy Tail hall unless they were wizards.  Deciding it might be fun to talk to them, Althea approached the dark-haired neko, her juice box in hand.  Realizing that it would be her first time speaking to a cat-person, Althea wondered if it would be different from speaking to anyone else.  She doubted it, but didn’t mind either way in the end.

Noting that Haru and Rose also seemed to be talking to the newcomer, she offered a jubiant wave to them before redirecting her attention to the mage, “Hi!  I’m Althea, nice to meet you!” She smiled enthusiastically at her, all the while trying to figure out their whole gist.  “I’m just going to assume you’re here to join the guild, right?”

Sorano let out a heavy breath, finally pushing open the door to the guild. She’d underestimated that job. Having had to solve a dispute in another city, she’d assumed that it would simply be a misunderstanding or awkward situation that could easily be fixed. What she had not expected, however, was that it would be a full-blown family feud between two angry siblings – neither having the intention of coming to a compromise, and she had spent the entire time trying to keep the atmosphere even remotely civil. Whatever conclusion they had come to in the end she didn’t even want to remember. All she knew was that the two groups had ended up storming out in anger, and she didn’t get any payment. Yes… That was right… Even the guild master could fail on a job as deceptively simple as this one.

Quickly, she wove through the crowd of mages and clients, ready to just run up to her office and take a nice, long, relaxing nap. She was mentally exhausted – although she had no emotions, it was harder to remember to be considerate when speaking to others, and the very thought was unappealing. The letter mage’s body screamed for rest, and it became obvious that it would not be getting what it so longed for when her eyes caught on the edge of the aura of a new mage. Her eyes swept around the area in hope, but neither Mura nor Ezra were anywhere to be seen. No dumping her responsibilities off on them this time, it seemed.

A few swift steps brought her up to the small group – Haru, Althea, and whoever this new girl was. Hurriedly nodding in greeting to each guild member before focusing on the Joyan woman, Sorano scanned the newcomer up and down. Black hair, ears, and tail betrayed her lineage, and a low-level magical signature suggested her rank in magic.

“Hello there… Were you looking for the guild master of Fairy Tail?” Having heard something along those lines being tossed through the air around her vicinity, she would assume it stemmed from this particular conversation.

Btw Rain, I think you forgot a <*/div> tag in your post.

Leila blinked a little surprised by the red feline’s sudden apology, leaving her unsure what to say or how to respond. At first she was considering remaining indifferent however, if she was going to work with a guild, she had to get over this antisocial behaviour sometime, she figured she best attempt to make friends within the guild. "Oh, it’s fine…um..." Leila tried to recall what Haru had called her earlier, "Rose? Was it?" the neko smiled awkwardly, she really wasn’t used to being friendly towards people and was honestly having a hard time knowing how to even communicate at this point. Her lips did form a small half smile as she watched Haru and Rose tease each other; it was honestly quite refreshing to see such a cute duo. Haru then explained he was a fire mage, well that was interesting in itself. "Oh my magic, well, for the most part I can currently only do some basic shadow manipulation." Leila explained, she didn’t really feel like getting into the details over her family’s history and the other abilities she possessed.

Well even if she had wanted to explain she wouldn’t have been able to, because at that point another mage, who appeared quite a bit younger than herself came strolling up and introduced herself.  At first she was tempted to brush her off, but to be honest, she was so adorable, she couldn’t bring herself to be rude to her, "Hi Althea, I’m Leila, and yes, I do plan to join." Leila replied, she was about to explain more when the little group was once again interrupted by another young girl. However, this one seemed a little strange, like something wasn’t quite right with her, she could feel her magical power radiating from her, she must be quite powerful, and still so young. Perhaps she was a prodigy of some sort. Leila snapped back to reality as the latest member of their small group mentioned the guild master, "Yes actually, if you wouldn’t mind pointing me in their direction that would be a lot of help." Leila wasn't completely comfortable with all these strangers around her, the cat inside her was telling her to run away, but she pushed those feelings aside for now. If she was ever going to get stronger and find a way to take revenge she would need these people to like her.
