    Public Nightly Job Hunting

Post by Amose Veil 13th March 2018, 2:26 pm

It had been two weeks since he beat the last customer... thug, to a pulp. How was he supposed to know that it was a test to see how he does in that shop? Oh well, it hasn't been a pleasant two weeks since that loss and hopefully that miserable time could come to an end. The salty smell of the ocean wasn't new to the man, he had been doing traveling for two to three years now and greeted the smell rather.

As the small boat approached the docks of this Divide Island, he noticed the three docks, one of which leading to a large building of sorts. The moonless night made it hard to see things, even though there appeared to be lights on the docks it kinda seemed darker than usual. There wasn't much time to really think as the generous sailer gave the man a lift to these islands where it was mentioned there was some job opening. The West Fiore Trading Company, and so the man instantly thought heavy labor, or maybe guard duty? Whatever the task, he had hoped to get a job here since the last one didn't last for very long.

Amose was a man of a long history, he looked to be built for war and damned the gods he was. He donned an old worn out set of armor of peculiar descent, it has been asked about to which the man simply replied, "Its for show."

A lie of course, the armor given its current state provided not much protection with the rust, cuts and missing pieces here and there, it was uncomfortable. It was better than leather armor, and since Amose didn't like how armor nowadays were... well... dull in appearance. He liked armor that had design and protection, not the crap that lowly knights wore.

Amose stepped on to the dock and thanked the sailer for his ride, paying the guy fifty jewels for his ride. The two did not speak to each other, and what conversation was made was nothing more than small talk upon the hours of the boat. The sailer took the money and swam off in his boat, not even a thank you or your quite welcome, oh well, there are many people like that of course. Amose turned to view the docks, perhaps it was best to come in the day rather than night. He hadn't the luxury of taking a day boat because everyone was either ferrying people or fishing, maybe both?

The armored man noticed the lights on the docks were lacrimas, he thought. He didn't care for them as be didn't really know what they could do, just that they seem like some decoration. He traveled along the dock, beginning to walk along the path of guards and lacrimas. The West Fiore Trading Company, Amose understood why it was heavily guarded, from what he heard the place served as a loading bay for ships and such, but that's all he heard. The moment he heard of it was the moment he got someone to take him. Particularly the old sailer who seemed a bit too quiet, but that was perfect, Amose was not one for talking to anyone. Lest it be of business and sorts.

Amose began his trip to the main building, odd for an individual at night, he just preferred for people to be out of his way, and what better time? He was a dissident to say the least, but no misanthrope by any means. He was just really antisocial.

Kyran peered at the stranger from his perch on the rooftops. His yellow eyes were bisected by a vertical line. A tail waved slowly through the air behind him. The newcomer was a mage. Judging by his armor, he might even have come to sign up with the guild. A certain glee filled the mage but he tamped down upon it. There was no need to get excited over a newbie. They might not be here to stay. His talons flexed against the wood of the rooftop. Maybe he should go down and introduce himself. It was polite to do so after all.

Yes, go meet this one. He's probably handsome under that armor. And if he's not. Malinda gave a dainty shrug within his mind. You know what they say about ugly men. Kyran sighed his tail waving back and forth. His demons never gave it a rest. Medea was trying to drive her claws into his mind, take over long enough to challenge the new guy. Kyran leapt down from the rooftop. His leaps and bounds still thrilled him. He wasn't yet used to being in control when his body transformed. Taking a deep breath, Kyran pushed back the demon as he emerged from behind the building. His eyes returned to their normal blue, streaks of green and gold interrupting the brilliant color. His claws faded and the fur upon his arms receded. The only thing that remained was his tail. Kyran scowled as he shrugged into his coat. Might as well appear professional when meeting a potential new guild mate. Since he had hidden it before his little escapade, it didn't look too wrinkled.

Kyran ran up next to the new guy trying to keep his tail hidden. He wasn't exactly supposed to be exploring his demonic abilities out in the open. Something about ruining the guilds reputation. He couldn't remember everything the VPs or the CEO had said. Or maybe the conversation was all in his head. No matter. "Headed up to the guild headquarters? Perhaps I can help you with whatever you're seeking." Kyran said. He kept his hands in the pockets of his coat. A handshake would have been polite but touching people wasn't something he really enjoyed. "Are you looking to do business, seek the guild's help or join the guild?" Kyran asked looking over at the armored fellow. The demons pressed forward, each excited by a potential new victim. Kyran hoped his eyes wouldn't flicker colors while they did so. That might scare the new guy off.

The stranger heard running footsteps, stopped, and turned to his side, revealing another man rushing to him. He was typically not too thrilled with people running up to him, and because of his past his training almost kicked in to attack the guy. It was rude to simply run up to someone, especially if they are clad in armor and have a sword. He held back that urge and resisted it, not wanting to get kicked off as soon as he arrived.

"May I help you with something?" Amose asked rather gruffly, he was in no mood to be dealing with common folk. But then the question of a guild popped up. Ah yes, Amose had heard of there being guilds, providing jobs, home and plenty of pay. If it was anything like the Blood Knights... then he would most certainly join. If it was a simple company he is working for then that's okay too, it wouldn't be as exciting but it gives him some form of currency and something to do. If this was some spokesperson then he might just try to be nicer... Just a little of course.

"Yes, actually, I am looking to join this guild you speak of. The West Fiore Trading Company I believe its called? I believe I can be of use." Amose's tone went from gruff to... emm... slightly less gruff. Truth is there was something about this man that Amose wanted to punch in the face... it could be those eyes, or the simple fact that the guy seemed excited about something. The man was never really "easy" with strangers, especially those that ran at him.

Sol yawned as he sat on the roof of the company building smoking from his beloved Kiseru, the smell of nightshade filled the air as he let himself relax. Seeing some movement below him though the dragon suddenly saw two figures below and it peaked the dragon kings interest. He put his Kiseru away before he stepped onto the edge as he dropped from the edge and he shifted into shadow before he hit the ground. Once the shadow touched the ground it shot forward and headed towards the two at break neck speed though it made no sound so no one saw or heard it.

Suddenly after Kyran finished speaking Sol emerged from the mans shadow and he had his kiseru out again and it was emitting the smell of Nightshade again as he took a puff of it.”evening Kyran you seem energetic tonight. Your behaving right?” he questioned before he turned his ruby slitted eyes at the newcomer before he spoke again.”did I hear right that you wish to join our company?” he asked as he took another breath of his Kiseru enjoying the toxic mixture.

Post by Shen Kadokawa 16th March 2018, 2:46 pm

This dark, cold moonless night was something particularly exciting for Johann von Weiss, Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company and Keeper of Virtue of Black Sails. Not only had he succeeded in his recent experiments with the runes that covered the left side of his torso and shoulders, modifying the shape and effect to gradually increase strength, speed, reactions and eliminating his need for, well, sleep as well as minor success with pocket dimensions. Not only that, but he had also expanded his knowledge of runes and the arts connected to them greatly, he himself not knowing in the slightest how or why he could understand things connected to runic scripture so easily. A natural talent, perhaps ? No, it was more than that, Of course, there would also be a drawback, but the man was blissfully unaware at this point in time. In any case, he had mastered the runes under his control since his "Awakening", exercising perfect control over their magical properties and the effects they caused, those in most cases being elemental, even if some went beyond what simple magic could do. Anyway, the elder male now had a bunch of time to pass, the advantages of that being obvious, and he thus decided to take to the forests around the West Fiore Trading Company's Headquarters for extensive training. Johann, with his unparalleled mobility, enjoyed the vastness of Divide Island greatly, the formerly small island nation quickly developing into a continent under the control of the WFTC, a busy trading hub for the most exotic of goods and people, and possibly the most extensive one in Fiore, nay, the world.

There was, however, another thing that occupied Johann's mind as he zoomed past trees, bushes and all manners of foliage at speeds close to 4 times that of sound, the small, elegant amber in the silver amulet that dangling back and forth around his neck. The man was wearing his mask, just in case he did end up bumping into someone who wasn't supposed to be there, his clothing consisting of a normally white coat with a formal white shirt beneath as well as a pair of white pants, however the magic of the mask transformed the clothing into a deeply black leather, decorated with streaks of silver, and thus the VP flashed through the jungle like a shadow. He was already on his way back to the HQ when he felt it, the pressure patterns of two- no, three individuals, one of them he was certain was even greater than his own, a familiar one belonging to his colleague and fellow Vice President, Sol Terumi before stopping in his tracks on the branch of a tree, his body turning into shadow momentarily before reappearing on the ground. "I do wonder ...", Johann swiftly took off his mask, his clothes shifting back into their original state, the silver haired man now standing there in the white WFTC uniform, shoving the object in his hands into a pouch in his coat before turning into a stream of wind, silently reappearing next to the other three people, one of whom Johann had never seen before. The other two were, he guessed correctly, Sol, the redeemed dark mage and dragon king whom Johann harboured nothing but respect for where he had qualms in the beginning, and Kyran, who was one of the more recent addition to the ranks of the West Fiore Trading Company, Johann was still somewhat unsure about the man and his quirks as well as his abilities. He would learn as time went by, though, it's not like he had none to spare.

Additionally, they were accompanied by a newcomer Johann had never seen before, but he'd find out soon enough. "Good evening, gentlemen. I hope I didn't surprise you too much" he uttered with a friendly tone in his voice, raising his right hand to his left shoulder before he gave all of them a deep and respectful bow, his two sheathed rapiers falling forward slightly on his belt as he did so. "May I ask, what are you doing here at this late hour ?" his attention shifting from his guildmates to the other one who, upon closer inspection, seemed rather ... rusty, quite literally so "I don't think I've seen you around here before, are you a client, good sir ? Or perhaps a newcomer looking to join ? But where are my manners" Johann once more gave the other a proper bow "may I introduce myself, Johann von Weiss, Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company. I see you have already met Mr. Terumi, also a Vice President, and Mr. Dyer, one of our employees." he paused for a few moments to give the other time to introduce himself "If there is anything I can help you with, my friend, don't hesitate to ask. But I suggest" a warm smile spread across his face "we head back to the HQ. It's cold outside and I'm sure you would appreciate something to warm you up. A drink perhaps ?" Johann gave the man a friendly expression, eagerly awaiting a response as he stared at the other with his grey right and red left eye, his hands ready to move to the hilts of his rapiers in less than the fracture of a second should the stranger try anything funny or prove to be hostile. Tolgalen had had enough invaders in it's short past already and he personally would make sure that such a thing would never happen again, not uncontested.

Yona Hisamori stepped off the small boat behind a man and onto the docks. The man wore stained and worn clothing, with pale skin and brown hair, Yona found herself staring up at him as he took his sweet time getting off the boat. She had been on the boat for hours already now, finishing up a basic job to just get a little time away from the island and wittle away the time of her punishment in Tolgalen. And here this guy was, stepping nice and steady, like he had no place to urgently be, and stopping there on the docks while Kyran dashed down to greet him.

Donning a white coat, white boots, and white short shorts, Yona could not have been less mistaken for an ordinary traveler if she had tried. To nearly everyone on the boat that she had associated with, a small number, had made the connection between the pin on her right arm sleeve and the white attire she wore with the West Fiore Trading Company. Her hair was still done up completely in a head-ful of tiny leaf-green braids, looking almost like vines, the tendrils crawling from her scalp and over her shoulders. Yona waited a moment while Sol and Johann made appearances, still noting that although the stranger who had yet to give his name was wearing armor and a sword, the VPs didn't seem to be that alarmed by his gruff presence. Yona was sure that if it had been her both Sol and Johann would have reacted differently.

For the sake of the small plant in the sack on her back, Yona needed to get inside. Her plan was to talk to the head chef Benvolio about using his garden soil for planting the little sprout. To watch it grow, research it, and see what sort of strengths and weaknesses the plant had for human use was her target. Surely, if she made a case and was extra nice about it, Benvolio would concede. And if that didn't work, she could always try force or something. Yona had places to be, considering her lab was off limits, because the dangerous little plant she had grabbed while on her job needed a place to take root. There wasn't much time before surely the thing died or was callously squashed.

Yona tapped her foot impatiently and then pushed pass the stranger, making physical contact for only a moment, to get on through. Unless he had violently reacted, grabbed her arm, or something, Yona would be able to just sneak on by the group with luck and let Kyran and the VPs deal with the new guy. She didn't so much as utter an apology or an 'excuse me'.

Amose turned to another individual who asked the question he had been asked already... he believed. He was just tired and trying to find a job before he heads off to rest for the night, something that Amose almost had in his grasp but to no avail as these two held him hostage with questions. Albiet they were simple questions, easy to answer, Amose was in no mood but he couldn't lose his head because some strangers were curious.

"I do," Amose replied to the second stranger. This one seemed calmer than the first and he believed it was because of that... whatever he smoked. The smell of the plant was an oddity, it didn't smell like any other grass that Amose had known, then again he wasn't the best at determining a lot of plant smells. Flowers for sure, but this was an odd scent. His mind also wandered to the guards upon the docks, remaining stationary as they should... but shouldn't they be more defensive for a place dealing with cargo and supplies?

Ignoring this scent than ponder upon it, Amose spoke to the second stranger once more, "Are you sentinels by chance? If so I will say that it seemed the defenses of this place was... dull. Forgive the rude comment, I came from a place where defense was essential."
Amose did not mean anything wrong of the comment, it was the typical militant in him coming out, much like the training that almost kicked in to knock the first strangers, or Sentinels, teeth in. Trully he hadn't cared for names, just trying to get to the main building. But alas he must be patient to get there, as of course there were people to deal with, and Amose did not want to set anyone off with his impatience.

Amose had seen another man, older from his voice, walk forward to the trio and ask why they were around this time of night. With the way he spoke, it was proper, whereas the armor clad man was gruff and keeping patience, trying to. It eased him that this man seemed polite and proper, it didn't ease him that this man was now with the group: more people to deal with. However unlike the first two men, this one Actually introduced himself.

'Finally someone with manners,' Amose thought and gave a courteous bow of the head, acknowledging the older man, one of the two Vice Presidents of the Company, "My name is Latetalus, and yes sir, I do intend on joining the Company."

If anything, Amose was paying attention from his surroundings, through his peripheral vision of course so not to look suspicious. Aside from the thing that smelled of cooked plant and the odd fellow next to him, Amose could notice Mr. Weiss watching him carefully, so he was on alert? Amose was the same, ready to draw his broadsword in case he was attacked, his arm remaining tense but at his side.

What made the tension in his arm go away was the offer of drinks. Amose perked up, although it would be impossible to tell the expression, he hasn't had anything good besides that piss-water they call, "The Best Stuff," they had on the previous land.

"Yes sir, I believe I'll take you up on your offer." Amose replied in the same rough tone, at least polite about it though. However Amose almost drew his blade when something roughly pushed past him, a girl in white with a plant of sorts. Luckily his hand and firearm only twitched barely upward to his sword, nothing that would deem him an enemy or some killer, just a reaction. His training, for just that second, almost kicked in to cut someone down, and it would have ended very badly for him.

Kyran got nervous by the appearance of Sol and Johann. He wasn't supposed to be practicing his demon arts outside the magic training room. Magical precautions had been put in place to keep him from doing any damage. His one weakness, ticklishness, was used against him. He did his best not to shudder. It made training fairly unpleasant. He tried to make sure that his tail was hidden beneath his coat. "Yes sir." Kyran said in reply to Sol's question. It was hard not to bristle at the newcomer's question of defense. His body relaxed, a dangerous sign for any that really knew him. Kyran only truly relaxed before he attacked. At the moment, it was simply a precaution. The newcomer's words sounded subtly like a threat. No one would attack his home. That was what Kyran had come to think of the guild. He flashed his teeth at the newcomer, a grimace more than a smile. "Not every defense is seen."

You've gotten sloppy. You wouldn't have been ready if he attacked. Ahriman growled into his head. Kyran didn't react to the wolf demon. He never really relaxed around anyone. Even with Adalinda, his best friend, some part of him was always ready, always expecting some kind of attack. That was why he honed his body to near physical perfection. No one would ever torture him again. He would fight to the death first.

Kyran's head cocked at Johann's mention of manners. He had heard about those but Sylvia had never deigned to teach them to him. Were they important in some way? He supposed introducing himself now that Johann had mentioned it would be a good idea. "Kyran Dyer." With the VPs around, Kyran was reverting to his old habits. He wasn't really social to begin with though. At Johann's suggestion, Kyran noted that for others this weather might be a little chilly. Nighttime and the soft breeze coming off the sea. It was barely felt by his damaged nerves. He noticed Yona coming up the steps from the docks. What was she doing here so late?

What drew his attention back again was the newcomer's twitch. Without thinking, Kyran slipped smoothly between Latetalus and Yona. He brushed against the woman, his motion almost knocking into the bag on her back. His eyes flashed opaque red as Ahriman pressed against his mind. It took some effort to push him away again. The wolf demon would only make things worse here. His left hand closed around the handle of his sword lashed to the base of his back. "Careful, friend" Kyran cautioned, his tone light. He didn't want a misunderstanding to erupt into a fight. Kyran was sure Sol and Johann would blame him for it. He did not want to be punished by either of them.

Post by Amose Veil 21st March 2018, 9:03 am

Amose could not help but feel a particular pair of eyes on him as he simply twitched. Was it really that noticeable? What really caught the warrior off guard was the man, Kyran he believed, that seemed to take immediate threat to the mans words of defense. He flashed his teeth, then when Amose had twitched he was ready to draw his blade of Amose. Training almost kicked in for the third time, his hand raising to the hilt of his broad sword but only balled to a fist right underneath it. Most certainly, Amose was getting ready to fight, but he must stop himself before dealing any real damage. Besides, he couldn't use magic for the time being, nor did he want to make enemies this early on.

Amose simply cleared his throat and spoke, his words coming out smooth and gruff still, but underneath the helm he was struggling to not glare a hole through Kyran, "Before things get too awkward, I shall go head inside to warm up, if you have no further qualms aside from a twitch and a question." Amose's retort to Kyran sounded much nicer than threatening, as he only stated he would go inside.

The armor clad warrior pushed pass the man in front of him, glancing at Kyran before looking forward to head toward. He stopped next to Johann and said, "Forgive my rudeness, I am terribly tired and just want to warm up, sir. I apologize for anything I might have done that is taken as a threat." Aaand like that Amose simply pressed on to the building, nearing its white greatness. He could be stopped to speak with more, but he had the same interest as Johann, go inside, and have a nice drink and rest. Well, maybe rest just for Amose.

Amose was not far from it now, however he was now trapped in his thoughts. Whilst Johann seemed pleasant, the other man relaxed, Kyran was too on edge he thought. Perhaps for good reason since Amose was indeed a stranger to this land, he remembered when guards back then would pay attention to the armored Blood Knights upon foreign borders, only later to discover they could have stopped a waging war or assassination. He supposed these men had great reason to be hostile, but for a companies employees to show it... that was quite unprofessional. It still did not deter him. Amose approached the mahogany double doors before pushing forward yet again.

Sol simply shook his head at Amoses question.” no they know when a threat is nearby plus considering myself and Johann are here the defense of this area is ample” he explained before he bowed his head to Johann.”its good to see you Johann the night seems to be treating you well” he greeted the older looking man before he was introduced to the newcomer and he nodded in greeting.” I am Sol Terumi the Dragon King” he stated before he saw both Kyran and Amose looking like they were going to fight and the VP knew he needed to step in before something bad happened .

However before that a shadow hand grabbed Yona by the back of her coat and stopped her." Yona you owe the person you bumped into an apology” he stated dulling since he knew it was her by her scent. Looking at Amose and Kyran Sol took a puff of his kiseru before he put it away.”alright you two enough we don.t need a fight happening here” Sol said before he looked at Amose and smiled a bit revealing his sharp teeth.”mr Latetalus if your hand is going to keep twitching towards your weapons I will have to ask that you surrender them to either myself or Johann temporarily I would rather not have someone get stabbed by accident” he explained.

As they walked Sol would take a position at the back of the group and his ruby eyes were locked onto Amose just in case he pulled something in the building. If he did try to harm anyone Sol and no doubt Johann would subdue him quickly. Just because the dragon king was calm did not mean he was not cautious.

Kyran sighed heavily. Just when he thought he was out of trouble, Sol scolded him for almost fighting. It wasn't his fault Ahriman was near the surface. Nor was it his fault the other man was so twitchy. There was nothing he could do on either account and together they spelled disaster. Ahriman's growl shook the surface of his mind. The wolf wanted to rage, wanted to attack. Kyran released his grip on his sword slowly. He wouldn't have needed it anyway. His training was progressing smoothly. Hand to hand combat was second nature to him now.

A polite incline of the head was given to both Sol and Johann. It was time for him to make his exit. Staying around the stranger might aggravate Ahriman more than it already had. Seemed all of his demons were picking up special people that drew them close to the surface. Medea had Leylin, Malinda had Yona...sometimes since she wasn't at the surface of his mind now, and Ahriman now picked up this stranger. Erebos probably would never pick someone. As it was, that demon was cowering at the back of his mind. Did Sol scare him? Or someone else? No matter. Kyran carefully stepped around the stranger and Sol. His path took him back toward the docks. A nice dip might cool his head. Then he might be able to be civil with others for a while.

Yona felt herself snatched up by Sol's hand and she groaned loudly, "Are you kidding me?" She twisted in his grip, trying to jerk free. She whirled on her heel and looked at Sol up and down, and then at Johann. Her shoulders fell in half-reluctance, giving in to the VPs. She had to go talk to Benvolio before he went to bed; she had to ask him to use his garden and make him see the importance of taking the dangerous stinging plant with her straight away into nursery like soil. And yet, here were two VPs making a big deal of how she bumped into someone. She was in too much of a rush to deal with petty things like this! When the nineteen year old met Sol's eyes again, she sighed. He was clearly not going to budge from this and whoever this stranger was was clearly important enough to be polite to. Yona bit her tongue.

She swallowed and then looked up at the stranger. She almost busted out with a 'I'm sorry you're an idiot, and you were in my way, and you wouldn't move, so I had to push past you for an important thing I am doing which is not loitering on the docks like a buffoon'. But instead, Yona chose to put on a bright smile, "Welcome to Divide Island, sir. It would be so nice to have another person in the guild," She lied through her teeth in such a way that made her apology seem extremely insincere. Another person to fight with, another person to get her into trouble, another person just generally in her way. But Yona was trying. She was apologizing and such so that Sol would let her go on her way, but at the same time her annoyances were too high to give a real damn. "I am so sorry I bumped into you, oh how careless of me! Are you all right? Did I injure you?" Her voice bordered on a baby tone, her eyebrows twitching as she shot a quick glance at Johann and Sol, wondering just how much trouble her sarcasm was going to earn her.

Amose gave a small sigh, not of annoyance, but just that things almost excallated and stopped right in front of the doors. He was too tired to fight as it was, and there was no use in doing so when this is the place he would get his job, if he gets the job. Already he made a poor impression as Kyle... Kylie, whatever his name was walked away. Amose needed to take a more calm approach. Then the suggestion of taking the sword came up, which clicked in the mans head that it might be a really good idea to do so as much as he hated it.

Amose unbuckled the sheath of the broad sword. He made sure to properly wrap up the buckle before gave it to Sol, he would have hesitated but instead held the sheathed weapon out, "Apologies, sir. I have no excuse to reach for my blade."

Giving a stranger you're weapon was like giving someone you're trust, Amose thought, and he was trusting these people with his weapon. Amose was not comfortable with this one bit, but he did see their point: he was too on edge and eventually the twitches would lead to something else. Of course, if they were experienced these men could subdue Amose within minutes, it would be more problematic if he were at full strength.

However, Amose's attention was now drawn to a girl, a huffy little shit, he could notice her struggle and defeat in the grasp of Sol. Her greeting, and apology, was nothing short of attitude and Amose hadn't cared one bit. After Yama said her words in a sarcastic tone, Amose proceeded to take off his helmet for a better look. Grime, scars and dried blood was clearly visible on the mans face, ritualistic tattoos stopping right underneath his chin and cheeks, near the edge of his mouth. He looked down to the girl and frowned. She seemed a lot younger, like a teenager to him.

"Your apology is accepted, and I do say, had you bumped into again me I might have been knocked out." Amose said in a playful and calm tone, however the neutral expression had not changed one bit.

"Ah, you know, the fresh night wind in a soothe not to be underestimated" Johann jokingly gave back to Sol's comment, watching silently as both Yona was grabbed and Sol asked the other to surrender his weapon as well as Kyran taking his leave. He sighed, clapping in his hands loudly as from them erupted a wave of pressure along with a sonic boom like sound. "Gentlemen, please, I think we've all caught each other on the wrong foot here so let's try this again"

"Yona, BEHAVE. Go before you get yourself into more trouble" Johann spoke out firmly, certain that Yona would know what he meant, trouble from him, that was, stopping himself from sighing out loud as he had to talk to a guild mate as if she was a child who had been found with her hand in the cookie jar. "Sol, I don't think that will be necessary"

"Mr. Latetalus, you may keep your blade, however I would kindly ask of you to not draw it unless you're in dire need of self-defense, and given that I'm confident Company members would never attack someone unprovoked" his eyes shifting back to Yona for a second as he raised his voice "I hope it's not going to be necessary for you to do so. You are a guest of the West Fiore trading Company, and I will personally make sure you are treated as such. But I digress, gentlemen, please" Johann passed the newcomer to push open the great mahogany front doors of the HQ building, holding one open for the group to step in, pointing to the corridor that led to the mess hall. He had promised the man a drink, and a drink he would get. Maybe they'd even get the chance to talk about the "test".

It seemed that Yuno wanted to still be a brat and while she fought his grip she eventually gsave up be she then very sarcastically apologized to the newcomer and Sol could mentally face palm at her behavior and he wondered how long she would be like this before she would straighten up and act like an adult.

As Amose unbuckled his sword and offered it to Sol the dragon was pleasantly surprised that he offered it without a fight and he even said he was sorry. At that Sols toothy smile turned into a gentle one.”there is no need to apologize I just don’t want someone to get harmed by accident. I don’t want you to feel threatened” he said. Before he could take the blade though Johann clapped his hands and created a sonic boom sound and Sol gripped his ears and gritted his teeth before he leveled a small glare at the man for a moment.”Johann for the love of god do not do that again I think my ears are on the verge of bleeding” he said before he still heard a slight ringing in his ears.”I have stronger senses then most and that hurt like hell” he said before he would follow Johann back to the building for a drink like he suggested to Amose.

Amose's ears popped with that clap, the feelong was both painful and surprisingly pleasant, like peeling off a bleeding scab almost. He looked to Johann and then nodded, understanding the man wanted to go inside from the cooler outside. Amose also wanted that damn drink. So he proceeded inside where it was warmer, more furnished than the docks and homely... so he would like to think. He thought completely wrong.

Amose entered what appeared to be an extremely clean area, the walls, Amose noticed were made of fine marble that even he could barely believe weren't some rigid stone for wall. Back in the old kingdom he came from the castle was made primarily out of cobblestone laced with many wards, the carvings of the wards giving a beautiful design and glow to the dull stone walls. This was not the case at all, yet they too had carvings and designs of sorts. There was another set of doors ahead, however near it was a desk of sorts, beneath it and certain areas there was red and gold carpet that matched the blinds on the windows, however most of the flooring seemed to be a finely smooth stone.

The rugged man stood there mouth agape at how clean the place was! He walked further until reaching a wall, tracing his armored right fingers carefully across the paintings of the wall and stepped back, realizing they resemble figures and other objects. He looked from one end to the next, and a sudden flow of sorrow came upon him. This was a story. Sonething he and his fellow Knights made on cave walls to leave behind in his earlier years... before he became a lone wolf, before the kingdom fell, thru left behind traces of their missions and what they did, all with the blood of their hunt and the ashes from fire.

The man did not bother asking what this was and simply turned to the trio, facing Johann, holding back a smile to keep a neutral expression. He was relieved that history was kept, "This is a magnificent place, if this is the first room then I cannot believe what the next would look like." As neutral the expression was his tone was a surprised one. In fact, Amose thought this place would be very dull and a bore, he was actually looking forward to what that bar looked like. Or tavern. Whichever worked.

Yona gave the stranger with a grim face a dazzling smile as he accepted her apology. Still, she had places to be and if Johann was eager to tell her to get a move on, behave, and treat him like a guest, Yona fully agreed that walking away was a better choice for her. She shrugged Sol's hand off and without another word, without even a flourish, the young woman strode away towards the guild, just ahead of the men. Once there, she would disappear down the halls, looking for Chef Benvolio and hoping to save her plant in time.
