    Appearance:

Among the number of places from which a person could choose to end up in their time away from the number of problems in their life, the monotony of picking sides and being judged based them. All of it was more than overwhelming and the need for unwinding came down to only one thing to do aside from staying far, far away from the guild; reading. It's been a long standing way for her to particularly escape the realities of life and enter another life for a time that she really needed it or just didn't want to face the harsh truths she had to endure as it was. It wasn't that much in the beginning, but as much as some would come to know of any life, everyone has a roller coaster effect that some days are better than others. It's easily something that she had come to find and master in a way that she could tune out everything around her and tunnel her focus onto one thing and one thing only when it mattered to her most. If the stories she read weren't of a fictional or mystery genre, she tended to move into anything that she could use to expand her knowledge and get just a little bit smarter. Honestly, it's the way she at first had gotten so enthusiastic about learning and expanding her own mind to the possibilities of everything in the world that would grow and expand. Life goals of discovering things and making her own book or books even just to enjoy those things even more was what she looked forward to the most out of life.

Still to this day, there's a glint of that possibility that floats around in her mind, if she could ever try to shake the bits of her life that people would judge her for and push her down and out in doing. Even so, it wasn't going to deter Madison from enjoying herself today, even if she wouldn't willingly use her normal appearance to do so just in a panic and fear that she would be seen and caught. Not that many people knew who she was to begin with, however the idea that she had gone through learning things from Sayrn for some time, that she would apply those teachings to a more normal standard of situations. Many people in the world could love knowledge like Madison normally does, and such that she wouldn't have to hide some aspects of herself and whatever else she had to do in order to stay clean of being found out. So in the spirit of disguises used to help blend into the normalcy of society, Madison remained at her normally retained height, long blonde hair tied up into twintails by a couple thin ribbons. Her attire consisted white button down shirt covered up mostly by a long sleeved green sweater and a yellow tie tucked between the two layers of shirts. A pair of black colored short shorts leaving little skin between them and the thigh high stockings down to a pair of slip in shoes with a strap over the top of the foot and tightened down with a buckle. Lastly,

With a small bag clutched into her right hand, holding several books within it, she had one book of a decent size in it of itself that was solely on the research and uses of lacrimas. How they had been used, their involvement with magical properties, how they reacted to infusing with humans and the like for their power. It was all completely astounding to learn about things like this, even months after she had come to not know what she was to do with the one already inside of her. It seemed to be something not covered in any way so far in her book in the half hour spent flying through page after page to be about half way at this point. Little sparks of her magic would pop her pages forward while her eyes scanned and watched the words collect in her mind and play back to her just as quick as when she had come to read them in the first place. Her pace continued along the streets, keeping close to the walls so she could have a sense of a direction of where she was going until she stepped onto a glass bottle and shattered it, startling the blonde from her reading to look up and at her surroundings. She'd wandered into a small section of a more "run down" side of Oak. The part was still very pretty to her itself, but it's not the kind of place she liked to be. Not when nothing around there seemed normal to her either.

The disguised blonde walked over to a small bench and set all of her things down. Lately, Madison had been holding onto a token from her meeting with Lestat. Something about his combative tendancies and everything had her mind adrift for a while. She reached into the pocket of her sweater and pulled out this token. Her eyes glared intently at it, much like she had from the first day that she'd come across this coin. "There's too many things I would want to get... No god could grant all of it, but..." She spoke to the token in hand as if it was talking back at her. The girl closed her hand around this token, closing her eyes and despite everything, took a moment of silence to cast her deepest wishes, sharing the memories that came with them into this token for whomever may or may not even be on the other side.

The coin was warm to the touch in the palm of her hand and fingers closed around it, large as it was for a coin,  a warmth that she had felt since the coin came into her possession, a heat from within it where the expectation would be cold metal.  A coin of stained red gold.   When she first saw it the sunken eye sockets of the skull side of the coin bore two beads like eyes within them,  as though staring and watching the proceeding, unmoving but all seeing.  In there place had been only the empty pools since.  The heat remained,  warm in her hand still now as she fed it with desire.

Behind her closed eyes the warmth seemed to slowly creep into her mind as she focused on it,  the warmth creating a speck of a red glow in the blackness that grew and took shape,  the shape of the coin,  as though seeing it with her eyes closed which seemed normal, felt natural, in the slightly meditative state she had fallen into.   Time became relative, but after a drawn out moment the warmth disappeared.  She couldn't tell when or how,  but the sudden realization that the coin was not there any longer may have caused her to open her eyes and bring her out of her reverie to empty hands.  It would be instinct then,  to follow the pinpoint sense of warmth, a connection,  to cast her eyes across the street and down to the end of an alleyway.  Before even looking she knew what to expect in her heart,  the coin was there in her mind's eye,  like a spark among the blackness of her mind,  the only think she could see in a more perfect vision of the world outside a narrow scope of sight.

It called to her.   Not in voice, but in mind or spirit.  A warm, but chilling,  beckoning of desire and curiosity.  A thrill of mystery and danger, a sense of taboo and impending change.   It spun on the ground once,  twice,  a third time seeming to slow the world down with its rotations.  On the third,  it slowly turned taking away the light with it causing attention draw in on it, each of its features coming into a sharp focus highlighting a change,  the sockets were barren no more,  but two eyes watched out down across the alleyway as it had when the coin was transferred into her possession.
Should she follow the way across the street and into that grim alley shadowed away from the light,  she would find the coin was gone even as her fingers touched the ground with it nowhere to be seen, though it was just there,  the realization that it was not was almost jarring,  like being lost in a fugue state only to realize you'd been overfilling your teacup.   Once again looking up to know that it was further down the alley,  around the corner at the end of a second stretch away from view of the streets behind her.   It somehow seemed darker and more distant.  Looking back to the street it would seem light, near, and inviting.  A normalcy,  compared to the dark alley that almost seemed to grow longer the more she looked.

But in the case of boldness,  the daring would follow the way through the shadow towards the coin,  resuming a hint of a trance following in its wake.  Whether reaching to pick it up or not,  coming to a stop at the coin would bring to mind the realization that she had somehow rounded the corner this time,  and was facing down a new alley way,  the past one round the corner behind her.  The coin and herself had moved at some point as she walked towards it to already start on the way down the new.    The coin was once again gone after the moment of thought,  it had seemed to be staying but in the hesitation it had vanished once more and now rested propped up against the wall on the far end,  the coins eyes staring down the way back at her,  the world was starting to feel surreal and dreamlike,  the conscious mind sunken mildly enough to make everything feel so lucid and natural.

This time in pursuit of the coin the alley the dark walls around her gave way to light,  small traces of it at first in glowing colors.  Pink,  blue,  red.   Neon streaks a blur came into focus on either side of her,  slowly fading in as though it was only just dawning on her that they existed.   When she arrived at the coin this time,  she was on the other side of a street.  The alley was far behind her,  and a light rain fell from a dark sky.   Long to either side of her were as the neon-strewn street of a foreign city lit with glowing signs of colors in a blend of languages,  unfamiliar script entangled with traces of English.   Store windows displayed transparent images in similar colors that displayed wares and advertised prices and deals,  human, or apparently human,  women were standing or positioned behind glass walls in varied states of dress designed for appeal,  some bore collars around their necks binding them to poles,  curtains behind them separated them isolated them from the store itself to present them to the passers by.    Down a block or two radiated the pleasant light of a holy symbol,  a church was elegantly sculpted on a brick walled enclosure with an open gate beyond which a marbled and well lit exterior seemed familiar and welcoming.  But more details became apparent,  the graffiti on the outer walls that glowed in the light of the neon streets,  sprayed in holo paint and stenciled in the signs of the painter,  the vandal's name or their various gangs.   A window on the church itself was broken,  stained glass cracked with a hole in the center and cracks that broke off to either side like the legs of a giant spider dark against the lit colors around it.

Knowledge, the Endless Meal (Private/Eris) 1lYHnMI

But the warmth of the coin was cause to turn her back,  look the other way at least down the other street where which lay the coin in at the foot of a glowing sign of a light pink peach with a broken halo half on one side,  a red devil's horn on the other.   Behind the sign was the red and pink neon building where entered men and women in revealing attire and left others in a more disheveled appearance  with ruffled hair.  A line of people waiting to enter,  held at bay by a large man dressed in a black sleeveless top that exposed his arms,  one flesh, one silver.    She could see, with the turn of his head,  that he cast his shaded gaze towards her coin on the ground and from it looked up to see her from the street.

A second warmth was felt, and as she was able to see her coin in her minds eye she could see a second coin,  deep within the man's chest,  within him humming the presence of another coin.   In the moment her attention left her coin to look at him,  her own coin had at some point slipped away from the sign was on the ground in front of the door,  notable in that it was away from the line of people.     If she approached,  when she got near the coin would appear in her hand,  her hand closed around it as though it never left her.

Knowledge, the Endless Meal (Private/Eris) Empty Re: Knowledge, the Endless Meal (Private/Eris)

Post by Sanguine 28th June 2017, 12:31 pm

Her own thoughts began to fill up in her mind, getting absorbed into the past and all that there was to it for her. The idea that she'd have gotten wrapped up in her own thoughts wasn't the purpose of the sharing of her ideals and her secrets, actions, and choices up until this moment to have crossed points. Firstly with everything from Harrigan and what he'd had her endure and seeing that until the end was the first of things that she had bore into the back of her mind. She spent months praying for forgiveness- not just for herself, but also for him. It was just who she had been at the time and frankly, she pitied the choices he made and everything else that came with it. Even so, should he had been deemed unforgivable, there would be no cause for a lost nights sleep over it. After all this time, Madison still believes him to be the cause of everything that came to her because of it. If his end game was this, than she gave him much more credit than he deserved and regardless of anything else, no actions could stop her from traveling the path she was taking.

Once the seering sense of her chest having a sharp pain to it had snapped her from this entranced state, her eyes popped open and she looked into her hand. It was wide open and for some reason, the coin wasn't in the palm of her hand like before. The warm sensation from earlier was gone and she had no idea why that was or for what reason she could have forgotten she held the coin. Even the sound of the metal clanking onto the ground was silent. It was gone. Nowhere below her this token could be found, and for the color from which it was, it wouldn't be a hard thing to miss around this type of area either. Her eyes gazed over the ground, slowly circling further and further out from her should it have rolled, when she spotted a red glare of its own out of the corner of her eye. As she turned towards it, the coin sat at the end of the alley, miraculously having not even moved or been picked up by a stranger, she eyed it confused by how it could have logically rolled from her position to there, but with a simple shrug, the red head began to approach the coin.

A sudden pause after her first step lasted for just a moment, but it was what she heard that had her momentarily caught dead in her tracks. "Did it.. just speak?" A whispered tone came as the girl starred at the coin for only a moment, peering into the glimmering orbs of the token on the far side before starting to walk towards it once again. Mavbe she was simply hearing things and it was her imagination? While that could have been the case, the fact she needed to get this coin again was what was now on her mind. If a sign came from it while she didn't hold it, she wondered if the token would vanish and she would end up losing out on the one thing that could change her life for the better. Rushing down the way, she stopped over top before bending down to reach for it, her hand and arm hiding the coins appearance completely.

Concrete. That was the first thing she felt with her fingertips instead of the cold metallic feeling of the token itself. Sliding her fingertips along it, she felt nothing but more and more of the ground beneath her and as she picked up her hand to see the coin... It was gone. Was she seeing things now too? Could someone be tricking her too? The whole thing was confusing; getting lost in her thoughts and losing track of this token, only to feel as though she was missing something. Again, she began to look around for the coin, as if she had simply maybe knocked it aside or overstepped despite what she thought she had just about gotten a hand onto after dropping it the first time. Slowly working from her person outward, she had even gotten into her own pockets just to make sure that she didn't imagine everything and it had ended up in there after all. Peering down the alley she just walked, her attention turned to the alleys down the way, spotting the same red gleam further away this time.

Wasting little time, Madison headed to each one, crossing street and street again with no real care to what were in the alleys she walked through. She was determined to get this token back, no matter how long she had to follow the thing to get it. While the blonde gotten to the coin once more, she paused as she reached for the coin. Though her eyes locked onto the coin to confirm her picking it up, she stopped as something began to seem different around where she was. Her head looked up for just a moment as the lights around her had looked like brush strokes of a painting, slowly growing more voluminous and vibrant, lifelike and bright until they had turned into bright, fluorescent lighting. Her eyes squinted at the light and she went back to the coin, wanting to grab it before wondering just how far she'd actually traveled. The little outline of the coin blinked several times to where the coin had been, noting that it again, had gone missing. "Lord... Why do you joke with me like this?" She spoke, looking up toward the sky before a light droplet of rain plopped onto her face, making her flinch.

With a low annoyed growl, Madi headed inward to the street before her, lit up with many of the same lights as before. It was then she realized just what was going on. The coin was the actual sign it seemed, after many times of a blonde moment or few. Slowly, her attention drew to the stores and the scenery around while the light rain slowly began to stain her clothing and hair with the water with no real worry or even attention paid to it. The first she'd come to had women posed in the display case area, dressed and make up placed on them to make them appear inhuman while collars and a chain tethered them to a pole like they were trained slaves. The sight alone made her want to act against it, however she stopped herself before even moving past the idea in mind and slowly walked past it.

A smile formed on her face, though small as in the distance she could make out the appearance of a church. In such an odd type of place, she seemed to find something like that to which at first glance was left in a pristine condition. She could respect that outlook, as even the oddest of souls could be of the strictest beliefs sometimes. Roughly a half of a block away, the smile that she wore on her face had turned into something of horror. A mortified look of shock and disbelief. Vandalism on a place like  church had crushed her heart, or what was left of that with the lacrima inside of it. She studied the appearance and writings of the graffiti on the walls, looking at the scripture written on it, however she seemed to feel distanced with the shattered look of the glass making her mind believe that a spider hung on the stained glass and her stepping back away from it. Her fear of spiders, the larger the scarier, had made her afraid to go close enough to make the creature attack her if it was even a real thing.

Turning away from the church, wanting to leave it behind her and forget it... though that in itself would end up becoming impossible. The warmth of the coin drew her attention to a pair of larger men... Or male like beings. The token embedded in his chest was among the first of things she had noticed on him before she'd actually looked to his face and seen the way he starred down at her. The girls attention then appeared to the door near the men, but away from the line of people waiting to enter the building they had wanted to join. There, she noticed a familiar thing leaned against the door. "You rascal, you." She said in a low tone, taking a step before the coin wasn't there anymore. Before her eyes in a blink of her eyes, it was gone. Her hand clasped over something warm in her left hand, she lifted it up, holding the coin out on her palm as it was now in her hand as though she'd never lost it to begin with. "Is.. this where you want me to go..?" She asked the coin, looking dead into the coins eyes. She jumped as the doors before her now opened up for her. As though she had no control or care of what it was, Madison walked inside of the place before her, stepping through the door and the magic concealing her red headed appearance had shed from the magic and no notice of it having happened, doors shutting tight behind her once inside, her attention completely drawn into the scenery before her.

The position of the coin adjacent to the bouncer of what was apparently a club of some sort, was meant to guide her thoughts and movement into approaching the door and the man specifically, rather than potentially joining the line.   The name of what she might logically assume was a club was illegible to her with no English text to be seen.  The neon lightning was par for the course given the rest of the street and the city as far as she could see,  but the logo was distinct and not many other types of places had guards like this, or lines waiting for entry, let alone the state of dress of some of those wanting in or those who were leaving looking like they'd just been enjoying themselves.

Almost forgetting that she was approaching the coin she found herself holding it as she passed the threshold,  stepping into the property of the building.  The man who had a coin of his own inside of him,  as she could see smoldering like an ember or spark within his chest hidden inside his ribcage,  the same sort of ember glow that her own coin was visible to her as in her mind's eye whenever it was out of her view ever since she started focusing her intent on using it.   A second sight,   and the man's reaction when the coin appeared nearby him was clear that he being a barer of a coin as well was able to see her coin just as she could see his.

Despite the backed up line,  the bouncer held out an arm almost protectively when she approached, one arm gesturing the line to pause and hold back while his other hand motioned Madison forward before rapping twice against the door and another man opened it from inside.    A third coin burned within his chest as well.   It was much to the chagrin of those waiting in the line,  who complained and gave exasperated sighs.   What?  Who is she?  Is she even legal? Where's her Pass? they murmured behind her as she entered.

While the exterior was rugged with concrete and steel,  the interior was softened with carpet and veils hanging loosely from the ceiling along the walls with paintings,  ornate wooden stands holding decor.   It was all dimly lit by pink and purple light,  the air thick with the repeating beat of music that thumped in her ears and reverberated through her body.   The room immediately inside was a few steps in past a depression where the door was sunken into,  a small entry way into a foyer or lounge of some sort lined with potted plants in unnatural colors and couches lined the wall to her right and the wall to the right of that, forming a reversed L.   On the far wall was a C shaped desk where three secretaries sat behind transparent screens that hung in the air, smaller screens dotting the air around them.

To her left,  carpet gave way to a sunken section,  just a step or two down from the carpet floor, handrails every few feet along the length of the room.  Dozens of people were moving in mass often paired with another or in small groups within the mass in the center.   Circular booths of cushioned couches with tables in the middle lined the walls there,  with their own veils shimmering in the air to close them off from the activities outside of them.   A railing squared off the central dancers from a walk space around the perimeter of the room separating the booths.   Mirroring the desk with the secretaries was a C shaped bar on the other half with three bartenders serving drinks to people at the stools or standing before returning to their engagements.   A curtained off entrance to the far side seemed to permit employers... servants... or slaves to come and go.

Waiters carrying drinks to the booths,  dancers and entertainment being brought through.   Poles in the center of the booth tables allowed private entertainment.     A set of stairs was on the far wall in the corner curling along both walls for two other staircases going up along the walls over the booths below to second levels of balconies of more booths without veils.   The balconies had long couches and coffee tables on their balcony edge that overlooked the dancing below,  but more importantly the glass platform that hung over the air above them,  where less clothed dancers were the entertainment coming on and off from a smooth walkway disappearing into the wall above the bar below.  The glass floor allowed those below to look up and watch themselves as well if they were inclined.     An even less visible barrier seemed to keep anyone from falling or slipping off the platform, but it shimmered with a hex shaped ripple where one of the dancers reached out and kissed lightly flustering a man standing behind the railings of his balcony, leaning forward a little too far and dinked his head on something in the air causing another hex shaped ripple.

So many couples were brazenly performing lewd acts even among the crowd of dancing party-goers as well as on the couches and tables around the room,  some were just cheering and enjoying drinks,  a few just seemed interested in soaking in the atmosphere or were waiting for others.  The more one looked the more certain details started to become apparent.  Fangs caught the light on a few,  small leather wings at the backs of some,  horns or ears,   tails thick and thin,  tipped or fluffy.    A thin veil shimmered in the air between her side of the room and the lively antics on the other side.   The veil glistened with holographic animations of dancers, poles or otherwise,  hearts,  couples,  rain drops,  and occasionally small bits of product placement as a can of nondescript cola was popped open by the holo image of a model.    They weren't so frequent, but the imagery passed by every few seconds,  leaving the veil mostly un-cluttered and clearly visible to watch what occurred beyond it.    She got the impression that the veil could hide that side of the room if it needed to,  or perhaps 'censor' some elements of it from view if any undesirables got in through the door.

A large holographic chandelier hovered in the air on this side of the room spinning slowly in place with a visage of a city in the center of it.    It was easy to get lost in thought and in the sights,  whether she did or not,  Madison would be snapped out of it by a tug on her hand.   "I said,  are you lost?   How did they even let you in?"  A short petite girl with black hair in two tails demanded,  one hand on her hip the other rising to palm her forehead.  "Tourists"  She muttered, one pointed cat ear twitched and a small fanged tooth bit her lip in either frustration or confusion.     "You don't look old enough to be in a place like this you know."  She said matter of factly, oblivious to the fact that she looked the same age as her.   "At least, as far as polite company is concerned.  You poli-?"   She was cut off with a whack on the top of her head by an older woman who stepped in behind her to swat her with an extendable pointer with a small round beaded end.      Her mother, perhaps,  baring a resemblance and similar black hair but had a pair of sleek glasses and cat ears.   The younger girls hair stood on end and her tail stuck up straight a she flinched at the smack and rubbed her head.
"Don't interrogate customers, Kit.   You're supposed to be tending the bar in five minutes,  what are you doing over here.   Scoot, off with you."  She swatted her again as she scampered off in a huff.   A dull warmth grew in her mind as a coin came into focus inside the new woman as she collapsed her weaponized pointer before turning to Madison,  adjusting her glasses propping them up with two fingers to one side as the narrow lenses shimmered.   "I see."   Behind her glasses she seemed to see Madison's coin in hand, in spite that it may have been hidden in her palm at her side or elsewhere.

As the girl entered the place, the scenery was already lavish and entertaining to say the least. She had never been in such a place before in her life, however she did seem to enjoy the idea of the red coloring and the velvet looking interior design. It was then that she'd even noticed the sign that she had realized the name was more of an exact representation of the overall look of the building... at least from the inside. For the fine being, her attention laid on only the appearance above and below her, that she didn't notice the people around her.

With the music playing, it didn't very much leave normal sounds and conversation to be jumbled in other voices to crowd around and mesh together into one inaudible tone. Her pair of eyes trailed down from the roof and then after noticing the type of flooring beneath her, Madison found herself starring directly at a sight that turned her cheeks bright red. "Oh by the name of the lord, what is going on in plain sight!?" Her voice muffled out by the music and voices that nobody around her could tell her voice from the rest. Her eyes slide away from that, her body turning away from it to help herself in the long run.

As she turned away from the scene she had just bore witness to, she set her eyes onto a scene of bdsm. Her aw dropped and again she swung her body away on her heels, grasping the Rosario underneath her sweater and began to mutter passages of the Bible to herself. With one hand grasped to the coin and the other to this item, she left her eyes closed while she whispered the verses over and over until she felt like her sins were abolished from her mind. She took in a deep breath of air and exhaled, calming her nerves so she could refocus on her whole purposes of being in this club.

Her body snapped suddenly as someone grabbed onto her hand, looking around until she set her gaze on a pair of cat ears. Instantly, she began to squeal lightly from the cuteness of the set of ears and followed it down to the face. The cat girl spoke to her, demanding to know if she was lost. As she even opened her mouth, she felt a loss of words while the girl had continued to speak while she remained speechless for the time being. The action that followed had made even Madi flinch as the cat girl was whacked on the top of her head by some object, with which another cat girl had come forth to claim the assault as her own. She seemed to be like the girls older sister or mother, but she simply let them deal with their own issues before the younger cat girl walked away, leaving her with the other.

The elder cat girl looked at the teenage girl and her glare reminded her of a stern sister from the church as a child, but now she was back to the reality of the situation at hand when she hadn't asked her a thing. She had come to simply adjust her glasses as her feline like eyes set themselves on the coin in hand and the only thing to leave her mouth was an "I see". "O-oh yeah!" She realized that the coin was in her hand and through all she saw, pushed them away so she could speak, in a louder voice so the girl can hear her. "I'm here to see the person who makes these tokens! I hear they can grant favors or wishes, anything and everything. Do you know where this person is?" She asked, holding out the token so the cat girl could see what she specifically was referring to.

Her arms folded across her chest the stern teacher looking woman listened to Madison before adjusting her tight skirt and clearing her throat.  "Follow me then."  She said, sounding a little less authoritative as her demeanor softened.    She turned and walked towards the veil separating the lobby from the eventful other half,  the veil rippled with flickers of light outlining the woman as she passed through to the other side.  Though she seemed to fade with each step, vanishing.

In following her Madison might feel a cool sensation like passing through the surface of a pool as the veil passed over her.  The music of this side intensified in volume,  each beat like a thud in one's chest but it did not pain the ears,  due to manipulations of the sound waves.  Where the woman had faded from view through the veil she was still there on this side,  walking towards the curved T staircase in the far corner where she lead Madison past the sounds of couples enjoying themselves behind curtained booths,  some closed some wide open for any passing eye.  The upstairs level turned even more flamboyant in its display with the activities of attendees on one side and the less than dressed dancers level with her now on the suspended glass floor beyond the balcony.     The woman led her through it all to a door on the far wall, the wall from which the glass platform extended from.

The door opened to a large circular chamber with red silk and velvet draping over most surfaces from the walls in veils and across the number of occupied circle and heart shaped beds with more than a few people on each,  red and pink pillows abound with soft red shaggy rugs.   A long short-fiber red carpet strip split the room, and from the center branched out like a star to lead to doors along the walls of the chamber, some left open to give a glimpse of the leather clad shenanigans beyond.    The sound of a whip echoed among the indecent sound of those in chamber as they passed,  the whole room a mosaic blur of activities.      At least the loud music didn't penetrate the chamber, though it may well have been preferable to an impressionable mind.

The door directly across the chamber was set into the wall,  an alcove of sorts separating it from the antics around them.  larger than the others, doubled and made of a rich dark heavy wood.    Madison could see the glow of the coin within the woman glow with a reaction of some sort and the doors responded,  opening up to a kitchen where cooks were preparing food,  a succubus in a maid outfit passing by them to leave the way they came with a silver tray in one hand and a golden one in the other baring food and drink to pass out or set on stands throughout the room they left.

On the opposite side of the large kitchens with several service doors,  there may have been a restaurant area in the building that they didn't pass,  Madison was lead to rich red wood door with a golden plaque inset at eye level reading Boss.

"Knock and if it is meant to be, the door will open for you.    Whatever happens, it'll sort itself out.  If all goes well there's nothing for you to worry about, if not, well, there's nothing more to worry about..."  She waited just long enough to see if the door would open for Madison,  and when it did she turned back down the long dead end hall and left her be.

Inside the room was a large study room of some sort with a large open space in the middle.  Filled book cases lined the walls taller than could naturally be reached by most reaching up to the ceiling.   Two wheeled ladders on tracks along the shelves were set on opposite sides of the room.   A dark hard wood floor was masked by soft dark red carpets along the bottom of the shelves and in large circles in three points.  Two smaller circles were to either side of Madison aways to the corners,  while a much larger circle was on the far end of the somewhat rectangle, but with smooth rounded corners,  room.    A large skeleton of some ferocious beast hung from the ceiling overhead.  Large as it was,  the size of the room almost made it seem small as it hung high above her,  an angry skull forever locked in a roar facing the door at whoever entered the room

On the far carpet was a abnormally large desk obviously meant for what may have been a mountain of a man.   Someone large and scary, who else could run such a vice-driven place like this.    The equally giant high backed leather chair sat askew behind the desk,  papers and devices Madison couldn't identify were set across the desk's surface.   A very large fireplace was set into the wall behind it with a large granite, at least on the exterior,  shaft rising up into the ceiling.     Madison would be like a small child in comparison to the things in the room.  This empty room,  a fire crackling behind the desk was the only sound in the silent room.
