Jozuma arrived in Minstrel with holding a letter of challenge. Minstrel is well known for their coveted musketeers who are masters of the art of the blade and have quelled countless threats that have plagued Minstrel. They are regarded as heroes and champions of Minstrel who are unmatched in swordplay, though that might change today. One of the newest additions to the musketeers issued an open invitation of challenge to all of the people of Earthland to hone his skills and to see if anyone could match him. Jozuma saw this challenge and was now here to take the man up on his invitation and beat him one on one.
Jozuma arrived at the battlegrounds as the musketeer claimed another victory against another challenger. "Well fought sir but victory belongs to Whisper this day!" Jozuma walked up to the to the challenger board and wrote his name, it seemed like he was going to be next to face the musketeer. "Who shall be next the cross swords with I, Whisper!" Jozuma thought his manner of speech was odd but decided to play. "I, Jozuma of the Infinite Hydra shall be your next challenger!" "Oh don't you start too." "Hehe." The musketeer tossed a sword to Jozuma and readied behind a white line. "Well met my good fellow, the rules are simple, blades and minor magic only, he who lands the most blows with the most finesse shall be victorious." Jozuma got into position behind the line. "Very well Sir Whisper then have at the!" "En guarde!" The match began.
Jozuma made the first move using his speed to take the musketeer off guard and landing a clean blow on the musketeers chest. The musketeer, surprised, quickly reavaluted his stance and picked up speed himself. "A quick one you are Sir Jozuma but I shall not let that happen again, it seemd you worthy of my full potential and so it shall be so, prepare yourself!" The musketeer now moved much faster and his lunges came quickly one after the other. Jozuma started deflected a few of the lunges but still some made their mark. Jozuma landed a hit on his leg and then faked a second on to bait the musketeer's sword to kick out of his hand. The musketeer ran for the sword dodging Jozuma's attempted strikes with flips. The musketeer grabbed his sword and the match continued. Going blow for blow the two lunged and spinned each landing a fair amount of hits. Calcifer encouraged Jozuma the whole way through. "You got this Jozu send him packing!" As the match went on both started to tire and started landing simultaneous hits on each other rather than trying to parry or dodge, it was then that the referee called the match and called the two over to present his decision. They turned to each other as they walked towards the referee. "You are quite the skilled fighter Sir Jozuma." "As are you Sir Whisper." They awaited the referee's decision and the results are...
