    Power Of A Shaman [Private | Kanix-sama]

Post by Mura Kensho on Mon 17 Oct - 12:11

Leaves soared gently across the sacred land of Tenroujima Island in a way that expressed absolute peace and harmony in nature. Waves of saltwater brushed the coast, while birds were to be seen flying across the azure skyline. It was an untouched piece of nature… literally, it ‘was’. At the moment, it was capable of being visited by a certain guild that had taken care of the island for a millennium or more. And at the very moment was a young Fairy Tail mage struggling to keep up with today’s training. Fairly, training wasn’t really a part of his daily day; despite his extreme improvement, it was more the improvement of his mind that developed everything that he was capable of now. However, time had passed, and people change in many ways…

“Keep your guard up a little more!” a certain samurai’s voice called out to Mura as a fierce spar was happening in the shrubbery. The smaller one levitated his feet from the ground in a rapid charge towards the legendary samurai’s spirit, swinging Harusame around to hit Kyuken. The spirit leaped up with a quick advice: “Make sure to choose a place to strike at! You can’t expect to hit successfully with no target..!” Living up to that advice, the shaman lowered his entire body to put Kyuken out of balance with a swift heel. The spirit was quite fast on his toes, and it turned into a fierce volley of blades clashing against each other in order to either block or attempt to strike at the opponent.

That was when Kyuken decided to lay out his true potential. Without warning, a gust charged towards Mura’s position, just barely touching his flesh as he leaped over it with a shocked look on his face. The gust made several leaves to blow off, but thankfully spared the sacred ground. When the shaman landed again, he quickly lifted his lowered head towards Kyuken with wide-opened eyes. “When did you… have you always been able to do that?” he asked with a curious gaze, hurting Kyuken a little as Mura could’ve been aware of the samurai’s powers a long time ago. “…” Sweat trickled down the ghost with a vein showing up on his forehead, “You know, you’ve even shouted out my techniques before… thousands of times. Why do you think that you could do them?” The shaman ended up scratching his cheek for a moment, before letting out: “Wait… no, that can’t be…” Apparently, the bladed gust, his Halo Blade and all other skills that Mura had ever used with Kyuken were all but the samurai’s very own skills. Fairly, he never expected a human being to be capable of such things; especially not without magic power, which Kyuken had always lacked alive…

(OOC: Just gonna make an intro inb4 battle, cuz you know I like 'em :3)

Kanix stared ahead of her bird and herself, across the blue skies of Tetsukazu, crisp and neatly laden with fluffy, white clouds. Her gaze was silent and commanding, a cold-heartened feature across once motherly and loving eyes and lips. She grasped tightly globs of feathers from her bird's neck, as if trying to rip them out, but was merely holding back pained tears and screams. The woman dug her shoe-less heels into the bird's sides, sending him across the skies at a speed most closely related to lightning. Ancalagon, despite the searing pain she was likely causing him from gripping onto his feathers, didn't mind in the least. He could tell his owner was distraught and in a case like this, he was willing to let her do whatever she wanted to him. Love was the only thing he felt for her and seeing her in a disastrous manner as she was now, only made him heartbroken.

With recent happenings, she hadn't been able to do the duties of a guild master like she was meant to; she was holding herself back. She was grieving over the loss of a man who had left her at the altar, just as any man would have done in her mind. The pained sorrow ached so deep into her body that it filled her heart with a sense of hatred, hatred she had thought she had gotten over. It was like a battle was ensuing in her mind and her body, the love of a mother and the hatred of a broken woman. Pressing her body closer to Ancalagon's, this forced the giant bird to tilt forward and begin to descend toward a clearing where Mura and Kyuken were. He folded in his wings and let the wind rapidly wrap and encase them in its safety, letting them plummet toward the ground. When they neared the shoreline, the bird released its wings, the tips of his feathers skimming across the water's surface and a screech leaving his jaws.

Ancalagon landed like a hawk, his claws digging into the pebbles of the shoreline as he came to a halt instantly. Kanix drearily slid of the bird's side and plopped onto the ground below, grabbing hold of her trident-like bo staff and turning toward Mura and Kyuken. Her hazy gaze stared motionlessly, as if she was seeing the two of them clearly and vibrantly, despite her lack of eyesight currently. The dead eye glanced toward Mura, the other with a few streaks of blood trailing down her cheek from earlier crying. "Battling the same opponent over and over again isn't going to make you stronger; it's only going to make you stronger against that opponent," Kanix interrupted. "If you want to grow stronger, fight against something stronger, something you've not fought before, something you don't know the way around of. Fight... me."

    Battle Stats:
Lacking hesitation, Mura had leaped towards the other samurai with his foot lifted to land a heavy stomp. Kyuken seemed confident that Mura would need more than that to hit him, when a serious breeze grabbed his attention. Combined with the situation, it only caused him to throw his guard away for a brief moment, resulting in one’s samurai shoes to plant right on Kyuken’s face. “???” Mura could feel the breeze as well, and it was heavier than a normal change of nature. Quickly finding his foothold on the appreciated field, he turned around his head to spot Ancalagon land. That only meant that he was about to receive a visit from Kanix, the Guild Master. He was about to greet her, but something surprised him. She looked tired, almost as if she’d trained herself. That was what Mura concluded, until he spotted the trickling trails of blood on her face… it looked like if she’d cried tears of blood.

Instead, he kept silent and listened to her words, while keeping the previous thoughts in the back of his head; she mentioned the ineffectiveness of training with an already familiar opponent, as well as suggesting that he should fight… her. Now that he thought about it, had he ever fought one of his own guildmates? He guessed not, since no memories of that ever happening crossed his mind. “Battling the Guild Master…” the samurai spirit mumbled out loud, while Zirconis remained silent, “… She got a point. There’s nothing wrong in expanding your experience, Mura.” The shaman threw a quick glance at Kyuken’s response, then closed his eyes to think about it. Despite looking quite tired, she was the one who challenged him, so... After a brief while, those eyes of his opened up again as he replied: “I guess that it’ll be interesting. Fighting you will take way more than just sheer power, I know…” He’d seen Kanix fight in their past job out in some desert, and surely, he clearly remembered her affiliation with spirits in a more different way than himself. Time had passed, and she could’ve changed in any way possible, in which Mura slowly unsheathed his katana. In a moment, he would hold Harusame on both palms with a strong grab, having his newly-grown, long hair sway in the cool wind, his face having a steel-set look on his Guild Master and fellow shamaness. Kyuken’s spirit was already prepared to either launch himself into Mura or into the blade. “Perhaps this is some special treatment, or something like that,” Mura spoke up cockily, “But anyway, I’m ready. Feel free to go all out.”

She listened to his words intently, letting him think over what he was doing before she nodded in response to him. Lifting a hand to her face, the woman wiped away the bloody tears, smearing the blood across her cheek like warpaint. The woman shifted her bo staff so that she had the trident-like tip facing the shaman as he readied his weapon. A stream of water snaked its way from the shoreline of the lake nearby, lifting up into the air and weaving its way toward the guild master. It circled around her waist and seemingly locked in on itself, snaking around like an ouroboros and flowing like a stream. With her free hand, the woman twisted her wrist around so that a small slice of the water came free of the ring. "I have read the cards beforehand and your fate is sealed, Faery Child," Kanix stated, the vagueness of her words clear in her voice.

For now, she would patiently for Mura's first move, her hands ready and poised to fight the young magus off. However, she was aware the magus wasn't that much weaker in power to her, especially since she had just ranked up.

    Water Ring:
    Rank: B
    Type: Slayer, Water, Defensive, Offensive
    Duration: 6 posts
    Cooldown: 7 posts
Description: Manipulating the moisture in the air or a source of water that is near the user, the magus is able to creature what is called a Water Ring. This water ring rotates around the user at a speed of 2mps and allows for the user to create an infinite amount of projectiles. Each projectile only deals about 6HP in damage, which basically means the user can throw 10 projectiles for base rank damage. If the user decides to boost the damage by an extra 50%, then they're allowed throw 5 more projectiles for a damage of 6HP each. Likewise, if the user decides to extend the damage to an extra 75%, they can then throw an additional 8 projectiles for 6HP each. The range of this spell can extend from close combat, which isn't as effective as it is in long range, to 55 meters away. Aside from being able to deal damage, the water ring acts as a defensive spell and cannot be destroyed unless by 2x B rank damage or 1x A rank damage.

Suddenly, after altering the colors that were stained on her face, the trident that she was wielding was pointed at him in quite a close range. He responded by cutting through Kyuken’s spirit with his katana, quickly infusing it with a source, so that he could channel his magic through it. While the spirit-bound Harusame was readied, a stream of water began to approach Kanix and circulate around her waist as a kind of preparation for battle. Water… pretty sure that she used it back then too, he let the thought phase his head for a second. He was getting eager to proceed, but something in her voice made him waver a little. He wanted to ask if she was okay, but ended up sending a worried expression towards her as the battle would begin. Again, she challenged him, and perhaps for a good cause. If it was that troubled, then it would expose itself during the battle…

It was almost as if a silhouette of the ancient samurai showed up behind Mura. He quickly pulled out his antiquity and fused it with the spirit-fused Harusame in order to enhance the spell that he was using. The result was nice as he charged the auric blade forward, letting it head alone towards the shamaness like a laser spear. Whatever that water ring was meant for, then he would prepare for its purpose, in which he decided not to approach her even more than where he stood now.

Name: Spirit Bind: Dual Control (Seirei Musubu: Nishihai)
    Rank: B
    Type: Various
    Duration: 5 posts
    Cooldown: 6 posts
Description: The user binds a spirit into 'two' mediums, typically a pair of swords or something else, which boosts the wished mediums' power by 60 (which is the damage of a B-Rank spell) and opens up an offensive spirit form with a size of max 40 meters in radius and size. Unlike the other spirit controls, this one's demand is having two mediums instead of one, which widens the versatility of this spell.

    Strenghts:

    1. It's way stronger than the C and D-Rank versions of Spirit Control.

    2. The user has an even wider versatility due to the amount of mediums.

    Weaknesses:

    1. The user can't use living things or the parts of living beings (such as rotten flesh and etc.) as mediums.

    2. Spirits such as celestial spirits can easily break this spirit control, giving them a demand of max C-Rank amount of damage on it to break.

    3. The user can split one spirit into two mediums, but can't use three spirits with two mediums.

Breathing in deeply, Kanix homed in her senses to Mura, letting every ounce of her body solely focus on the younger magus. While her eyes could not see him her ears could hear him, her nose could smell him and her feet could feel the vibrations of his movements through the ground. Yet, she was not able to feel any movements from him other than the occasional step to assure that the boy was getting ready for battle. However, it was the oncoming sense of magic power that radiated over the woman and caused her to take action. Blade was met with blade, the trident-like crystals of her bo staff blocking the sword from getting any closer to her. Forcing her weight forward, the blade would be knocked away from her, sending it flying of a few meters from where she stood. Her attention was then drawback to Mura, giving him very little time to react to her response to his attack.

Her free hand reached down into the water that encircled her waist and pulled free what looked to be like a shard of ice. She flicked her wrist hard, sending the shard-like projectile in the direction Mura was standing in, then another followed suit. Those two would be allowed to let fly for a few feet before Kanix sent forth another two shards shortly after the other two. Neither Mura nor she moved an inch from where they stood, but she was well prepared for any sort of attack. For now, like Mura, the woman would keep her distance, flicking the shards one by one until all or some had hit him. It wouldn't be until he had gotten closer to her that she would move away or engage in close combat with the magus. After all, her intentions were not to kill him, but rather to see if he was capable of being able to do what was expected of her Aces.

Kanix was too fast to react as her bo staff blocked his spirit blade with unreal precision, surprising the young shaman. He would’ve went with a quick comment on that, but he wasn’t exactly given enough time to even follow up with another move as she suddenly had her hand into the water belt around her waist. With the spirit blade blocked, it appeared if she found him vulnerable at the very moment, but his spell was more broad than that. As she launched small ice shards towards his position, Kyuken’s spirit within the blade began to burst out and repelled the first water shards, realizing the pattern of one shard at a time. “That Magic…” Zirconis mumbled a little, beginning to realize the power that Kanix was using. Meanwhile, Kyuken’s spirit was all motivated and progressively supporting Mura through his own soul. Approach! the spirit prompted, which was obviously backed up; it was small projectiles now, so he found it necessary to get closer now, in which the shaman used the spirit form to launch himself upwards, then towards Kanix’ position. Quickly, he lifted up his katana and let the aura blaze towards the other shamaness, while the antiquity focused around the aura that kept Mura levitating... although, a certain sentence that she mentioned earlier came up on his head: 'I have read the cards beforehand and your fate is sealed...'. Kyuken felt Mura's curiosity swing, but they were too into the battle to think about it any further or even dive into the meaning... but what people use to say during a battle can have its advantages as well as its disadvantages. He knew that much since his previous fight with Takumi.
