    Désirée ♥ Golden Phoenix ♥ D Rank

A hot sunny day! Perfect weather for any bird who enjoyed gliding among the gentle breezes and under the warm rays of golden sunlight. It was noon, but the young female was in not too much of a mood for flying. Instead, she was feeling adventurous. After all, what bird would not be a bit curious after finding a land full of of their own kind? Birds of a feather flock together, in the end.
... but were they really her kind?

Desiree had run into a few of the other hot avians, but had determined that none of them were quite familiar at all- hardly her own species. Many were lacking in what seemed like intelligence she possessed, and the lot of them mostly only acted like average birds without much mind of their own. Some were different, but nevertheless, somewhat difficult for the Suzaku to relate with. They were friendly and well-meaning, but she could only find them to be anything but familiar. Breathing out a sigh, the firebird had taken a human form once again, having become quite familiar with the shape. She had long silvery-white hair, a lovely eastern outfit, and wore a few red, orange, and white feathers here and there.

The Suzaku had joined the guild, Golden Phoenix, only days ago, yet it still felt as if she had only joined minutes ago. After all, she was hardly familiar with the guildhall, and had yet to really meet anyone. Nevertheless, Desiree was determined to now explore her new 'home', and that started with the hotel area. If she were lucky, something fun would happen, or she could meet someone new. The people at least seemed friendly, just liked the phoenixes. Hands swaying at her sides as she walked, the human-formed Phoenix began moving along at a steady, but quick pace, crimson eyes wide and eager.

The hotel area, where everyone in the guild who wanted to be away from their house in Oahu can come to stay in the city for a while. Only those who were really rich were able to make something more than a house in the underwater city. Any member was guaranteed a house, but they also needed to provide anything else by doing the missions. A little incentive for them, and doing their work was definitely something that needed to be done in order to keep the guild active. If an invincible barrier that was many miles under the ocean was not enough to satisfy anyone, what would? A new presence would be felt as he walked by. IT took a long while to mater the sensory of magic, but now he was able to channel it in all sorts of directions while identifying them. This one seemed a lot more smoky, fiery. How could one describe it accurately? Ignite. That was all he pretty much could say. Looking towards where he sensed the magic, he would then remember the being that was new. Desiree, seems she was able to master the mark and have it access Oahu. She wanted to hang at the hotel? Or perhaps go onto an elevator? Plus, Ignite could definitely use the company, though she was currently reading more on magazines in his office. The She-Phoenix would not let that go for some reason, it amazed the Guild Master. Hey there Desiree. What’s good? Need anything to help you settle in the guild? He was offering her anything she wanted so that she would be more comfortable with the guild itself. He can understand it being a little difficult to adjust, but if the Guild Master was willing to humble himself for her, then hopefully she would feel a bit more secure. Or maybe she did not need it. Regardless, he was offering it to her.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

It had been a rather hot day indeed. Hotter than usual for a island filled with fire birds, at least. It wasn't that bad though, as the guild had a solution for such a thing. Their very own swimming pool. And resort. But the dragon slayer much preferred the pool over everything else. It had one problem, however. Well, it didn't have a problem really. It was more her own problem. She wasn't able to swim with her hearing aids in since they were electrically powered with no water proofing. A bit of an inconvenience, but she made it work. She just had to hope no one would call for her while she was swimming and be extra careful to not run into the people around her. Not that she did any swimming, more like she just stayed in one place and floated around under the surface. The water was different from the normal air of the surface. Water had its own unique noise. Pressure and vibrations pushing against her ears. Unlike the air that only some times produced vibrations, water was loud always, and made her feel secure in knowing she wasn't alone with her own thoughts. In a way, it was like music for a deaf person. A deep, bassy tone. So dark and mysterious. Like a weird kind of smooth jazz, if she could put it in some sort of category.
If the surface air was more like this, maybe she wouldn't need rely so much on her hearing aids. The constant vibrations is all she wanted. To let her know she wasn't alone.

Astrid made her way down the guild hall, a single towel spread over her shoulders to prevent her damp, silver hair from getting her clothes wet. She hadn't spent too much time in the pool. The chlorine wasn't good for her eyes, but overall it had been relaxing while it lasted. Just what she needed after her last job. It had been so hot in that tower, it almost felt like she was being cooked alive. Guess they didn't call it the Order of the Sun for no reason.
Using the end of the fluffy towel to wipe a bit of water that had dripped down from her hair onto her face she paused, spotting Elyx and what seemed to be a new member. At least she seemed to be a new member. The slayer could not remember the last time she had seen her. Yet she wasn't exactly good with names or faces, so she might have seen her once but forgotten.
They were talking, or so it looked like. With the amount of water in her ears it was rather distorted and hard to hear. That's what she got for staying under water for so long.
Changing her course of action instead of making the trip back home to rest she decided it would be better to greet the girl before it slipped from her mind once more.
"What do we have here? A new member, prehaps?" The light mage offered the two a smile, stopping just in front of them. Though the chlorine still overwhelmed her senses through it all she could smell a whiff of smoke and ash. A fire mage, maybe? She could only guess. Either way, she rather enjoyed her smell. It reminded her of a log fire. Nice and cozy.
