    Job:

Yeah, he did hear of their wars and such. And Black Rose was even going to war with them as they spoke. Elyx knew that they would win, with their advanced technology behind them, they could slaughter opponents easily. So he would relax as he read the peace of paper, war was far away from his peaceful office. His lips upwards as the words were being scanned. Until then one part of the war has been left unchecked, and this new guild planned to capitalize on it while they had the chance. Now that was where he could take action against it. This new guild declared war and can gain some free ground. Crescent island, was it? It sounded familiar, but he could not recall from when. Regardless he could find it. Many mages were probably on their way to the island right now. 100,000 jewels was a nice reward, it paid almost as much as an S ranked job, which no one could turn down. If they made it a true emergency and gave the average 100 Year job rewards, he would practically teleport from his seat. That was beautiful, so much money, he would be able to buy many things. Or one... Really expensive powerful item. Another thing to store in the safehouse, because it would not be something for Iza to get her hands on. So he would mildly jog out of his office and out of the guild hall before running out of the Black Rose borders. There was nothing much he could do by just sticking around, and he had everything he needed equipped in case he would get into a fight. Or rather, when he gets into a fight. There was war being fought, blood being spilled onto the grass, he was unfortunately going to have to bring down some enemies as well. Naturally, he won't kill them unless the council demands it.

Ignite would be joining him this time, because she was the one who presented him with the job in the first place. It would only be fair to play along with whatever was going on, and hey, jewels. She took a break from the rifles at least, and as long as they go together, any dark guild would have to fear them. Wind and fire mix well for a reason. She would not be so hyper and cheery, but rather formal and intelligent. Well, of course she would still play around, but compared to before, she would almost be as formal as Elyx. Well damn, what exactly did the magazines have inside of them that the Sky Slayer did not teach? If manners came for free, he'd give everyone his magazines. Regardless, that was not a topic of concern as of currently. Manners later. War now. We are going to have to spill a lot of blood in this you know. Are you sure you want to take this job with me only? Take responsibility for what happens to the island and the Syndicate? The She-Phoenix would ask. Yes, he was prepared for whatever was coming up. But... What if they did have someone?

Another job from the Magic Council? Yeah, great. Lynn was getting tired of all these requests. Give the poor girl a break! But that wasn’t her style. Which is why she had decided to accept another council job. This time, she was supposed to go to an island known as Crescent Island, which she didn’t exactly remember since the last time she went there was...some time long ago, or so she thought. She definitely couldn’t remember when though. Lynn wore a simple outfit, knowing that she was going to have to actually put some effort in it. It was an A-ranking job and she didn’t want to fail, especially since the Council had trusted her with it. Reading - or more like skimming - the job description, she realised the difficulty of the job, making her smirk a bit. “Looks like we’ve got ourselves a challenge,” she said, ruffling Zlatan’s mane. The lion grunted, twisting its head as it stretched. Rolling the paper into a scroll-like thing, she stuck it in her shirt pocket. It wasn’t really a pocket she just stuck it in a space that she found among the strap designs on her top. It wasn’t going to fall out if she put it there. Then, she went to brush her hair a bit since she hadn’t done it since the morning, since she woke up. Zlatan walked out ahead of her, waiting for her at the platform to take off. “Just a minute!” she shouted to him and quickly sprayed a whiff of vanilla scented perfume. She had a quick shower, but she felt like she was going to need it. She might actually break a sweat this time.

Zlatan lazy lifted off of the platform, flying at the speed of a tortoise on land. “Forza, Zlatan. You can do better than that,” Lynn told him with a disappointed voice. The lion then released a soft roar, lapping at the air with his legs and flapping his wings even harder, making an effort to impress his mistress. “That’s my boy,” said the Ice Dragon Slayer, laughing a bit at how hard Zlatan was trying to make sure she was satisfied with his performance. The Crescent Island was indeed shaped like a crescent, even from afar she noticed that and when they were just above the island, Lynn studied it, instead of landing right away. It had an odd shape, she she had a bit of trouble trying to put it in coordinates the way she usually did. It was unbalanced but she couldn’t do anything about that, so she just told Zlatan to make sure he remembered what was where and to remember this place. Down they went to the shore of the island where the waves kissed the sandy beach. The winged lion almost crash landed since a sudden strong wind simply blasted up the shoreline. But with so much experience in flying and landing, Zlatan made sure his mistress did not tumble off his back. He landed right where he wanted in the first place, crouching so Lynn didn’t have to jump too high to dismount him. She could already tell something was wrong here. But what she spotted straight away was the brown haired man standing a few feet away from him, a very familiar face. “You again!?” she screeched, pointing at him as sweat dropped down her temples.

The both of them would arrive at the island, and the enemies did not seem to be there yet. A good sign, they had plenty of time to prepare themselves and the people of the island. First things first, they were probably going to have to warn the people of the Syndicates arrival. But he could not just make them all panic. They needed some sort of place to hide out as well. Everything had to be planned, and to plan, they needed time! Time they did not have! Screw it all, he will just tell everyone to evacuate from the scene as soon as they can, and they can run into their homes. Meanwhile, he was going to have to handle an entire guild with Ignite, so there should probably be some broken trees and much of the ground broken by the end of it all. All right Ignite, we are going to have to get the attention of the city. Out of the two of us, you have the louder voice, so you are going to have to be the one to tell them. You have to tell them that the guild is coming, and that they must stay in their homes. No one should be near any windows, and anything left behind is left behind. Their lives are more valuable than their possessions. He would explain to her. Ignite would nod her head, somehow able to compress all of those words into her head. Wow, she really did improve because of some magazines on how bullets are fired. And so they would begin to make their way into the island to see what they were able to do to get everyones attention. Would it require a spell? Hopefully not, he did not want to waste any magic that needed to be used on a dark guild.

However, they would be stopped when they heard a voice from behind them. Elyx because it was a familiar one, and the identity of the one it belonged to made him shudder. There was nothing wrong with her honestly, but the surprise and tone of her voice as well as the volume would put him in a state almost near paralysis. Not to mention how she tried to chug alcohol down his throat, which worked to a degree. The nasty taste was in his mouth for a while, but like hell would he actually let the liquid enter his stomach. So yeah, a lot of alochol was spat out that day. Ignite would just acknowledge it because it sounded like it belonged to her. Looking behind his back and over his shoulder, he confirmed the identity of the one who exclaimed that statement. Oh? You're here as well? Elyx would ask calmly, in a not so surprised manner. He'd look over to see that the flying lion was there as well. Just as casually as he replied, he would introduce the She-Phoenix. That's right, you never did meet my partner here, did you? This here is Ignite Rosella, a She-Phoenix. Half human, half Phoenix bird. He'd introduce, the She Phoenix giving a formal bow in respect when being introduced. Hey there, it's nice to meet you both. And what about you both, what might you and your lion be called? She asked.

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Post by Fair 18th June 2016, 1:20 pm

The Ice Dragon Slayer regained her composure, dropping her arm and clearing her throat at the sight of another female. She didn’t want to come off as a lunatic so she scratched the back of her head and laughed. “Uh yeah, I mean, great to see you, Elyx.” She couldn’t help but remember the events that took place after their last job, at the bar. Suddenly remembering that brought the images of that night, Lynn going crazy, Elyx looking sour and everyone else not giving a fuck. She wondered if Elyx was scared of her now, but with the way he replied to her, it didn’t seem like he was scared of her, but more like, a bit wary of her now. Lynn didn’t know who the girl beside him was. It could have been the girl that he talked about last time. The one he called crazy. This girl looked perfectly sane though, so she wasn’t sure if it really was her. But that thought brought another thought and that wasn’t all too positive...what if Elyx was cheating!? Well Lynn wasn’t the type to go around reporting girls of their cheating boyfriends, well if that girl was dating him and married to him already anyways. Elyx didn’t look like he was old enough to be marrying anyone. The confused Saber approached them, getting near since she was standing about a mile away when she first spotted the pair. Zlatan followed close by as well since the girl was a stranger for now and he just wanted to make sure that Lynn was safe near her.

Ooh, your partner, huh? So is she the one you told me about? The one who’s crazy?” Lynn asked, looking at ‘Ignite’ up and down, taking in the redness of her hair. Such red hair. She remembered having hair like that at one point in her life. “It’s really nice to meet you Ignite. You don’t look crazy at all...or a nut. Elyx described you as something completely different,” she said chuckling. If Ignite was indeed the partner that he had talked about, then Elyx was going to have to feel super embarrassed but Lynn didn’t know that. If he did tell her anything about his partner or whatever, she clearly forgot as she had the attention span of a goldfish. “Oh yes, my name is Lynn and I’m from Sabertooth, and this is my guardian Leon Zlatan, but you can just call him Zlatan,” she answered the phoenix girl’s question. Lynn glanced back at the lion who gave her a cautious look and she gave him back a ‘It will be fine’ look. So she turned to them and gave them a grin. “Alright so what exactly are we supposed to do right now? Do you have a plan? There must be people living on this island right? I didn’t see anyone from above. Maybe they’re hiding. I’m not sure so let’s devise a plan. I’m sure Ignite has some neat tricks too right? Are you H-rank too?” she asked out of curiosity because two H-ranks on this job was enough to wipe out this island.

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Post by King Elyx 18th June 2016, 1:34 pm

She seemed reluctant for some reason, which was odd. Did she feel guilty for the night where she tried to make him choke on alcohol, forcing it into his mouth? If she did, well, that was her fault. There was no grudges held against her though, but now a bit more caution. For example, if he wanted a ride home, he was going to use Yuni. Bringing his Celestial Spirit keys was the best hope he had at getting back to Black Rose. The next part was when Elyx and Ignite opened up their eyes, both for two different reason. The She-Phoenix was not the one that he was referring to, and he'd probably never like her like that. If anything, she was more of a sister. But before given the chance to explain that, a sudden arm would pull him towards Ignite, who ended up putting him in a headlock. It's nice to meet you too! Now tell me more about what he said so he can be hurt as needed. She would tell Lynn. The Sky Slayer was flailing his arms out to the side now. I wasn't talking about you! It was Iza! Iza! He would exclaim. Now it all made sense to her, and so Ignite would let him go right after that. It seems like she could agree as well, for good reason of course. Once he got a bit of blood back into his head, he would continue to speak. Ignite is not that insane. She tends to be extreme, but not insane. And she can actually control herself if she needed to. But the one I was talking about... Yeah. She looks adorable... Until you see what she does. He'd explain before breathing out, a sigh now before they continued on with their conversation.

Why did you name him... Satan? Ignite would ask, tilting her head to the side. Well, she was bright-ER, but not quite bright yet. Hopefully Lynn could clear that up. And finally, the moment where she would ask what they had to do. A good question of course, but there was a simple answer for it. We need to warn the people here of the danger of the new dark guild coming over here. Then, if we have enough time, we have to somehow make traps. The Sky Slayer would respond before Lynn would continue speaking. As for Ignite, she was still classified as S rank to the Magic Council. But she will continue to train hard and eventually one day become H rank. Whatever spell she has during that time will be the best one, she was determined to make it so. Besides, it might teach herself a bit more about her origin. Plus, to get something as devastating as Elyx has demonstrated would already excite the She-Phoenix. She held up a palm, a sphere of fire revealing over the palm. I can use fire and control fire however I feel. As for H rank, I'm not there yet, but this idiot will do as I say anyways, I don't care if he is D rank or X rank.

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Apparently Ignite wasn’t the one that Elyx was talking about, and the person that he was talking about was someone called Isser? Isser was a strange name already, she wondered what that person looked like and what they did to have been called someone crazy by Elyx. But then something rang in her head. Isser sounded like Iza and Iza...was from Black Rose! Yes, the very guild that Elyx was from as well! Lynn had actually gone on a job with that girl too, so she knew who it was. “Oh! Iza!? I know her!” she added as Elyx continued. “Insane...extreme? Those are the two words that describes me perfectly,” she laughed, not exactly knowing what she said until the words repeated in her head and she stood dumbfounded by her own words, blinking like an idiot, then slowly returning to her normal state. The words that she just escaped through her very own lips were not untrue. Her subconscious had just made her say something without her being aware of it. Honestly though, what was that about? She would never find out, because it was the side of her that she would never find out. It was only something that her ex mentor - Ganymede - saw and now he was a dead man so there was no living person who had seen her wrath when she went Berserk. Lynn herself did not know, so she had just gotten herself into an awkward situation again. A small breeze rustled the leaves in the forest and draped Lynn’s hair to one side.

Satan!?” Lynn shrieked and laughed, bending over and holding her stomach so that she did not get any serious injuries from the laugh. “Seriously?” she managed to squeak out. The lion behind her let out a loud grunt, not because he was mad at Ignite for calling him Satan, but because Lynn was finding this funny instead of offensive. “I’m sorry,” she stood up, straightening herself and clearing her throat as she gave Zlatan a ‘sorry’ smile. “Okay so it’s not Satan, it’s Zlatan and it’s not a name, it’s a title. His name is Leon and the reason he has Zlatan as his title is because he deserves it. I trained him day and night, from a tiny gray kitten to this giant ferocious thing, and I will continue to do so until he reaches his limit, which I don’t think exists. Anyway, Zlatan means ‘Pride’. So he’s a proud lion,” she explained clearly, making sure she pronounced the title clearly so she wouldn’t mistake it again. Then she would pat Zlatan until he stopped looking so offended by her finding humor in a misheard name for him. “Ah yes. We have to warn them as soon as we can. We can’t predict when they’re going to strike. So let’s do that first. And I’m not very fond of traps. But if you want to do that, you definitely can,” she said, expression her opinion on the whole trap thing. She hated traps. She hated setting them up, and falling into them. Lynn nodded with an impressed look when Ignite described her capabilities.

You know Iza? Elyx would ask, tilting his head to the side in question. Then the second emotion would be guilt. What has that tanuki done onto Lynn? Did she make the blue haired lady uncomfortable, miserable, suffer possibly? But he did not want to ask. Surprisingly enough, Lynn seemed rather comfortable about talking about Iza, and so the Wizard Saint was left in a state of hollow worry. In fact, it was not confirmed to be a joke or not, but she would then say that insane and extreme are two words that describe her well. Well then... Er... Was that meant to be a good thing? Was he supposed to say something along the lines of "Well, that's not something I could say for myself, and I wish I could say the same rather." Of course not! That is not what many people want in a normal society. The struggles of what guilds have to go through when they have that sort of person. Maybe in a normal situation, he might have not believed her, but this was the same lady who forced his mouth open and tried to make him chug alcohol. Yeah, it will be often he brings that topic up, because that nasty sight of him spitting out the liquid and the nasty taste left in his mouth left him nothing but bitter memories. He understood Lynn trying to get him to party and lighten up or whatever, but the fact is, Elyx doesn't drink. He's extreme when it comes to comebacks, and he might unfortunately destroy some precious sights in battle, but he would not get a drop of alcohol to enter his immune system.

And so Lynn would laugh at Ignite's mistakes. One thing that one might notice is that when they are laughing alone, they might feel awkward at the end. Sure, it was a stupid comment, but was it THAT hilarious? That one could practically roll on the floor out of breath? Apparently so, but neither the Sky Slayer or the She Phoenix would do that. Well, I think I'll just name him Pride. It is much easier, and not as easy to confuse with Satan. Ignite would explain, placing her hands on her hips before then addressing the plan. Lynn did not like traps, which might be a factor that could backfire on them later. Maybe she get herself caught in one, and that might throw a monkey wrench into their plans. Tilting his head to the side, Elyx would then answer her, just as formally as he ever would. Well, that is just one way. It's not guaranteed anyways. If you have any better ideas, I'm open to suggestions. If not, well, we don't have to use traps. We'll just prepare ourselves and defend the island without them. He was willing to work out a compromise with her, since she was a friend of his. She thought, and actually had restraint. Plus, respect, much of it in fact. Why would he disregard her requests if she showed him nothing but kindness anyways?

Elyx had asked if she knew Iza with a look of guilt or something like that, to which Lynn blinked and raised an eyebrow. “Yes I do,” she replied with an odd expression, but nodding her head and turning back to Ignite, who had found a new way to call Zlatan. Lynn thought for a moment, then came up with, “That sounds amazing! That should be his new nickname for those who can’t pronounce Zlatan. I mean, Leon is a pretty easy thing to pronounce, but I guess Pride works, too!” Clapping her hands together as if she had found the answer to all of her questions, Lynn then went on about the traps and such. She was very iffy about them. If she wasn’t going to help set up the traps, then it was best they didn’t make them at all because the first person that was going to fall into them was yours truly. The Ice Dragon Slayer folded her arms over her chest, tapping her chin with her index before saying, “I was actually thinking not to do anything unnecessary and just prepare ourselves mentally. How about that? We have an H-rank, an S-rank, an A-rank - well to-be anyways,  but I’m close! And her ferocious kitty,” she said, reaching to pet Zlatan. “We don’t really need to do all that unnecessary crap, honestly,” she ended, scratching her head a bit before looking to them for opinions. Elyx wasn’t stupid, so he’d know they were just wasting their time. Plus, they didn’t know when the Syndicate would strike, so it was good they had their eyes open and their minds prepared for the worst. This was probably one of the hardest jobs they might come to tackle.

Alright, so I have a final plan now. You and Ignite go ahead and warn the villagers, and I will fly above and keep watch of the Syndicate. Once they arrive, I’ll send a signal, and you can just like come over to where you smell me,” she said. She knew he was a slayer of course, an even greater slayer than she was. So he could probably smell her from miles away. Even planets away. Or so she thought, maybe she was exaggerating about it. She had a feeling that he would ask what the signal was. “And about the signal...you’ll know it when you see it,” she said with a wink and a wave of her hand. Without further ado, she hopped onto the back of ‘Pride’ and flew into the sky, watching over Elyx and Ignite as they would travel to the center of the island, well if they followed her plan, anyway. For now, Lynn would fly as high as she could until she could see the entire island from above so she knew what was where and who was coming from where. The higher she went up, the smaller Elyx and Ignite got, then completely vanishing from her scope of vision. “I hope they’re fine,” Lynn said. She didn’t know what the villagers were like.

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Post by King Elyx 19th June 2016, 2:39 pm

Well shit... Elyx would think to himself. He did not want to say that he did not trust Iza alone... But he did not trust Iza alone. All of the chaos she could spread, all of it in an unknown manner. Just that alone made him want to teleport back to Black Rose and interrogate her. However, he decided to cool himself down by breathing in the relaxing air around him. It smelled so sweetly to him, just simple air. Like freshly baked bread from a professional bakery. Once that had been done, he let out a relieved sigh before the conversation would continue. Lynn agreed on the idea of simply preparing themselves mentally for the Syndicate. And while she did have a point about him being one of the strongest mages to exist in Fiore, that did not exclude or dismiss the fact that it was a whole guild they were up against. They needed some sort of leverage, right? They had to look over the people as well as fight, they needed something to stall while they protected the village at the center of the island. But before he could jump onto that scenario, Lynn would continue to speak. All right, sure I guess. We will need a bit of time, but send the signal any time. He would explain, agreeing with her plan. And then it struck him... Oh no... What did she plan to use? What did she plan to use!? What was going to be the signal!? That wink! What did it mean!? Before he could protest and take back his agreement, Ignite would be on her way, pulling on his wrist and bringing him to the village quickly, out of earshot from Lynn. Please be good to me. He would think, half to Lynn and half to fate.

As they would arrive at the village, the people began to turn their heads towards them, mainly Elyx. The magic sensing, that must have done the trick right there. Great, he had their attention. Now the Wizard Saint needed to get them to safety. First, he would have to go somewhere high, a building. Any shop would do. And so he would jump with Ignite before landing on the roof of a small Inn nearby. Now everyone nearby was watching, and his voice will be heard even more. People of the Crescent Island! My name is Elyx Reiaki of Black Rose, and a Wizard Saint of Fiore! I bring you all a message, a warning! A new guild named the "Syndicate" is arriving, but they have declared war on Fiore! This is their first target! Their scared facial expressions and gasps were understandable, and he wanted to reassure them, provided they do as he says. There is hope however! I ask for you all to stay indoors until further notice, so I must not focus on your safety provided you are already safe. A few friends and I will fend off the new guild and make sure you all are safe, just do as I say and nothing can go wrong!

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Post by Fair 19th June 2016, 3:47 pm

Lynn felt like an officer on patrol, she was literally flying in circles over the island. Zlatan however was not so complaining about it since he liked to fly with Lynn anyways, and now that they were alone Lynn thought she might talk to him. It was a while since they had an actual conversation. “So, how do you like your nickname? Pride. Sounds very cool, don’t you think?” Lynn asked, combing his mane once again. It seemed he was fond of the action because every time she did that he would shudder slightly as if he was feeling something so good. Lynn continued combing his mane, and it felt like the lion was about to fall asleep, but that meant that they were going to fall, so she stopped immediately as soon as she realised he was getting a little bit too pampered. Zlatan immediately grunted, stopped flying for a moment then continued at a slower pace as though he was complaining since Lynn stopped doing that to him and he lost the feeling of relaxing that he was just feeling. I do not mind the nickname. Are you going to start calling me that, too? was Zlatan’s concerned response. Maybe he did not want Lynn to stop calling him Zlatan because that was the title that she herself gave him and he did not want a random nickname even though it meant the same thing to replace the title he proudly bore all these years. Maybe he did not like how Lynn accepted random strangers’ suggestions like that. And this was not the first time.

You don’t want me to? I can just keep calling you Zlatan but Pride means the same thing and it’s easier to call, right? I mean of course I won’t stop calling you Zlatan! The nickname will only be for those who have a difficulty pronouncing your actual name,” she told him, rubbing his ears now. She understood what the lion was feeling. They had been together for eons, how could she not know what he was thinking? With a laugh, the Ice Dragon Slayer looked down at the island and she realised a little too late that the Syndicate had arrived. It was either the Syndicate themselves or a bunch of pirates since a bunch of ships just anchored at one part of the island. Immediately Lynn thought ‘Oh no!’ and took Zlatan to that side of the island. It would be the west if you knew directions, and that meant that the opposite side of where Lynn landed with Zlatan and saw Elyx and Ignite. The blue-haired Saber then started the signal. The water vapor in the air would collect and freeze, forming into beautiful little snowflakes, then fall to the island. Of course the villagers and Elyx plus his partner were not the only ones who would be seeing this but the Syndicate as well. “We need to find the village and get there. Elyx wouldn’t know which side of the island they’re coming from unless I inform him.” And with that she plummeted to the island, looking for any form of settlement and once finding it, she would land, rushing to the brown haired mage. “They’re here, west of the island,” she said, peering over his shoulder to wave at the villagers.

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Post by King Elyx 19th June 2016, 5:30 pm

The sudden drop in temperature, though it was not that heavy a difference, it was still noticeable, would alert Elyx that something was causing a bit of snow flakes to drop down around him. His magic sensing would point his light brown eyes upwards, allowing him to see the sight above that is Lynn. She seemed to be headed towards him, but if that was her signal, then he had best keep an eye out. The Wizard Saint was prepared for the worst, his magic increasing heavily, ready to unleash. The people in the village listened to what he had to say, and evacuated safely in order to have some sort of hope in surviving against the enemies. A smile would appear on his face as he received the coordinates of where the enemies were. The west of this area, eh? Then they had best make their way over there now. With a nod of his head, he would then activate the effect of Bound Iris, which would allow him to step on the air, which was not quite like flying. However, it was able to provide the same purpose. Ignite would grip his hand to share the effect with him, the both of them off of the ground now before looking at Lynn and Pride. Lets attack before they know we are coming after them. Lets have the element of surprise while we still have it. The Sky Slayer would explain before then running on the air towards the west. Now this was going to be a bit of a rough landing if Ignite was not prepared to be dropped. Fortunately, there was plenty of time to prepare for a landing, the island did cover a lot of ground after all. The more time that is wasted though, the closer the enemies could get into the island. If they find the village, the job is over. The goal was to have minimal amounts of damage done onto the village, but to drive away the Syndicate. If bad becomes worse, they might have to kill members of the guild. Elyx was fairly against the idea, since he valued life a lot, and he could not bring himself to force an enemy to take Bound Iris towards the heart. Thus, Ignite would have to do that. But knowing most dark guilds they have encountered in the past, the one thing that he knew about them was the fact that they normally fought in a cowardly way. Meaning that they did not actually prepare themselves to take a beating, but depend normally on their numbers and their intimidation. That won't work on the Wizard Saint, leaving them with nothing to prepare themselves with. This was going to be a piece of cake. Elyx and Ignite were about to approach the edge of the island, and so they saw it, the enemies were already getting off of their ships. They are in for a nasty surprise from the land of Fiore, who refuses to go down without a fight.

Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job] Empty Re: Rise of the Syndicate [Lynn/Job]

Post by Fair 20th June 2016, 9:39 am

The villagers were sort of panicking when she landed, because of the fact that Zlatan was a massive flying lion and they have probably never seen something so intimidating before. “Oh don’t worry! He’s a friend. My guardian. He will assist in protection all of you!” she said to the villagers who appeared to be shocked for no actual reason. Then, she would turn back to Elyx who was already doing something she did not know he could do. He was walking on air. Was Ignite helping him do that? Because they were holding hands, so someone was definitely helping the other. Lynn did not get off Zlatan, so she would just order him to lift off, which he did, following Elyx and Ignite as they were in the lead now. Zlatan immediately surpassed the speed at which they were running by air and took the lead, which made Lynn laugh and stick out her tongue at the pair that was running in air. “Race you there,” she told the brunette and then Zlatan just dashing in the air like some sort of rocket but slower than a rocket of course, straight to the west of the island where they were supposed to find their enemies. From afar, Lynn could see that they were already preparing to take over the island. They were getting down from their ships with arms of all sorts and Lynn did not like that. Of course, they were the targets described in the job, but they were also a dark guild, and that meant they deserved no love from the Saber.

Lynn arrived there first on her beastly lion guardian, landing roughly on the beach and sending a small shockwave around him. It was not a spell or an ability, it was purely caused by the impact of his weight on the ground. This had caught the attention of all the members of the Syndicate, causing them to stop for just a moment before they began to charge at her. Oh no...this was not going as planned and Zlatan knew what he was supposed to do. As they approached her with their swords and weapons of all sorts, the winged lion ascended into the sky like a bullet, twirling and then stopping at one point, so they stopped and stared up. “Ha! Did you think it would be that easy!?” she laughed, pointing at them like some sort of lunatic. She would just wait there - and dodge the occasional projectile that the members of the Syndicate would throw at her. Wait for Elyx and Ignite to reach here and the Wizard Saint could drop a crazy spell like the one he used last time in that other job with her. ‘Hurry up!’ she thought. ‘They’re waiting for you!’ Of course Elyx did not know telepathy, so she could only think in her own head without him hearing her. She hoped it worked the way it worked with Zlatan with everyone so she could make secret plans.

And so the "Race" was on. If he felt like it, he could make it using all of his speed. But he felt like giving Lynn the win, for one or maybe two reasons. One of them being motivation for her to fight, if she had won, she would be excited and fired up for battle, bringing her to her A game in the battle. Second, because why not? They were friends, and to give her the satisfaction of beating an H rank mage in a race would probably place a smile onto her face. And so they would eventually arrive. All right Ignite, I am going to have to drop you onto the battlefield, prepare to execute your flames, all right? He would tell the she Phoenix. She would look up at him, nodding to show that she agreed with him. Just in time as well, as projectiles were heading their way. He would let go of Ignite, making her fall. She was spinning, showing she had control over herself and can land successfully on her own. Lynn would be evading as well, maybe he could supply her with a boost of power. All he had to do was get close enough. NOW was the time he used all his speed to outmatch her own. His body would seemingly blur when he stepped on the air, his speed revealing itself now. His palms swarmed with green light, a C rank spell of his being activated. His target was the Ice Slayer. Provided she did not somehow dodge his palms, he would press before his his palms against her stomach for one quick second, allowing his magic to inject into her. It was a simple support spell that was able to fire up any of his allies, Lynn could use the boost for sure. Admittedly, he only used this one of time, but that was because he normally took jobs alone. Being able to support others that he considered his allies felt... Amazing to be honest. It made him feel needed.

Good luck Lynn! Elyx would tell her, a thumbs up given before he would release the effect of Air Step, his body now falling onto the ground once again in a free dive. Two bullets would be blocked when he swung Bound Iris towards them. At the bottom, he would see Ignite already burning up the sand and firing glass shots at some of the opponents. That was going to be a nasty result for the Syndicate. They lost their element of surprise, but they seemed to have the upper hand now, which was all that mattered. More ships were arriving, so it was a good idea to end this battle quickly while the number of enemies were so few. Syndicate! You have declared war of Fiore! Prepare to suffer the consequences! The Wizard Saint would exclaim, voice echoing. With that, he would land on the sandy ground, a wave of sand being launched onto the enemies that were on the land.
