    Mentor and Apprentice {Ardere only/private}

Post by LeeAnn Nakamura on Sun 11 Oct - 19:55

The young Nakamura held her sword and armored tightly to her. She was a warrior figure on the outside, but a marshmellow on the inside. Much like one of those chocolate candies with the creamy filling inside. Her Scarlet hair stood out among most. She was far from home and not used to so many spas. She had not time for petty things like relaxing, that was only a waste of time in her mind. The girl looked at the address that Concord, her guardian, had told her to go to. She didn't know why she was going this address, but she assumed to was to help her aide. People wondered why she was walking so fast zooming left nad right to find this new guild. "Where is it? This town is so big" she said. A white bandaged covered her right side of her face to prevent from starts showing that extend to her full right arm as being ill.

"Lee, slow down, you're going to make your condition worse" hissed Concord. The girl did as he said and slowed down. She was inferior to people that were higher up like a guildmaster, lover, or mentor. It was her code as a knight of the Nakamura family. She hated churches, she hated people, she hated everything in this world other than people close to her. The young fairy was still healing from abusive and torturious past from reglious preist calling her a sin because of her illness to being nearly mauled by a sea serpent. She had seen it all. Almost everything. But things still phased her. Now that her mother had left her to an arranged marriage with a very lovely guy, she actually does like him. She felt life was slowly getting easier. The Infinity Hydra guild stood as she pushed opened the doors and saw the guildmember staring at her. "Excuse me, is there an Ardere Kasai here" she asked, boldy.

Page after page was flipped and signed, as Ardere let out as heavy sigh. It had been weeks since he had to do paperwork, and he was grateful as he was not really the desk or paperwork kind of guild master. Most of the time spent in his office was reading, not necessarily business activities. He often found himself reading or training like normal, it was nice to be able to continue as himself even when the entire guild of Infinity Hydra was at his command and under his wing. The unfortunate reason he was staring at a mountain of paperwork was a few of his members had gotten into trouble out in the village below the guild, some drunken escapades. Normally they were a bit more tact when in town, they kept their rambunctious activities here in the guild. It seemed this time it had been unavoidable, luckily he could cover the costs himself. Pale fingers running across the papers as he signed them, one page made him stop in his tracks. Ten thousand jewels worth of destruction in yard gnomes? Who the hell went around breaking yard gnomes? Running his fingers through the thick brown locks on his head, he twisted his lip. Rather than letting himself get worked up, he took a sip of sake from his cup. It was one of the off days where he was sitting at the bar and doing paper work.

During his paperwork signing and stamping, a new scent cross his nose. Things had calmed down in terms of gaining new members, but he still found himself meeting new people every week. Whether it was to join or to visit, he welcomed newcomers to the guild hall. Ardere finished the paperwork and tossed it into a bin, as he heard the foot steps getting closer to the hall. Turning around to face the door, he leaned up against the bar and arched a brow as a young armored woman entered the guild, asking for him. Don't tell me, I owe you money? Smiling he put his leather covered hands on his hips. Welcome to Infinity Hydra, joining or just visiting? He was friendly enough, but his calm demeanor should have tipped her off that he was not a confrontational greeter.

LeeAnn looked up at the man who leaned against the bar smiling asking if he owed her money. If anything, she was from one of he richest families in Fiore. The woman would only raise eyebrow as she remained serious. She was one to get things done and put on a front of being professional. The terms were why was she here? She was asking herself that question as even Concord didn't know himself. She ran through the back of her mind trying gather an answer. "Just say you're looking for someone to help control your magic since it also associated with fire anyways" Concord thought quickly. LeeAnn nodded as she looked down nervously. She rubbed her arm then snapped out of it. "Visiting on personal terms, sir. I'm LeeAnn Nakamura of Fairy Tail from the Nakamura household. I heard you specialize in fire magic and thought you could possibly help with mine?" she asked. She felt so formal and so obvious. There was no real reason why her spirits had sent her here. Kaila made it so simple.

The redhead held out her hand boldly. Obviously in her behavior, she wasn't used to talking to people since she tried to avoid them as much as possible. LeeAnn sighed nervously. "I was also sent here for another reason by um...a spirit you could say. I know it sounds odd, but a spirit of some kind told me to come here. For what reason, that remains a mystery. I can only conclude a mentor of some sorts. If you reject, I can completely understand" she said. A sigh came from her lips glad to get that off her chest.

Lifting up a cup of warm sake to his lips, the fire mage took a sip as the woman promptly explained herself. It seemed to be a common occurrence these days that other mages came to him for help with their magics. He was no weakling, but it was a bit odd that so many were coming to him as of late. Fortunately he was a kind man, and did not object. The young redhead seemed a bit formal, but that was a good thing when making a first impression. Ah, I see. Well I'm certainly not opposed to it, I'd be happy to help. Finishing the cup of steaming liquid, he sat it down on the bar and wiped his hands. Pushing the long cloak that covered most of his attire behind his shoulders, his elegant red Samurai armor would be revealed. We have a training room upstairs, but first; mind if I know where you're from? Guild, town, or country. Whichever you wish to disclose. While he did not mind helping people train, even strangers, he still did like to know who he was helping to some extent. Personal information wasn't necessarily required, but a little bit to get an idea would be nice.

After the woman introduced herself, he would motion to her and lead the way upstairs. It was not a long walk, but the large wooden stairs did require a bit of leg work to traverse. The tapestries and paintings across the walls certainly livened up the walk, as the training room was quite large. The two large sliding doors bore katanas at the top, to signify what the room was made for. The room is encased in magic resistant metal, so we should be able to have an easy time with practice. The guild master hoped this young woman would like the training area, as he had spent quite some time designing it. Actually he had spent quite come time designing the guild hall itself.

The man had lead her to room up somewhere in the guildhall. They had certainly did a good job in creating the guildhall. It was certainly a lot better than the Fairy Tail guild. She admired the paintings and architecture. She would slow down looking at the wall paper and elegant wood work on the flooring. The redhead really did admire everything. "You certainly did a wonderful job with the guildhall, sir. I admire the wood work and the artwork. This certainly was a lot of work" she commented. It really did bring to her attention that why he would create a guild such as this that really brought to her attention. The young woman finally reached the training room with Ardere as she was in awe. "Yes, this is perfect, perfect for me. Fairy Tail has a training room but its outside...sadly...at least that I know of. I never spend any time in the guildhall. NOt much of a people person" she said. The woman loved everything about this. She would spend a long time looking at everything nearly forgetting why she was here in the first place.

She shook herself out of the trance. "Sorry...just loving the room here. So um...should I perform a spell? My magic is two different elements, which I do not know but I do know one of them is fire" she explained. The magic was actually her illness. She had the skills it was just learning them and mastering her arts of the Plague. It would be a pain to have as a magic sadly. There was no going back now.

Nodding and giving a slight bow, Ardere smiled ever so slightly. Many thanks, it is quite something. Taking a few steps forward to give her some space, he put one hand on his side and kept the other limb by his alternate side. Waiting for some instructions as to what she wished to gain from this training, he noticed that she mentioned Fairy Tail. While he was not a personal friend of Kira, that guild was certainly one of the most well known legal guilds in Fiore, and he respected what they had accomplished. While she did not have a particularly powerful aura, it was quite unique. Judging by her determination to come all the way out here, he was certainly intrigued as to her magic. He was known as the Fire King, so perhaps it was expected to have people interested in seeing what he knew. From what he knew he was the strongest fire mage in terms of the legal side, but he had heard of a dark mage who could rival his power. Perhaps he would test that some day, but for now he was interested in teaching this young woman.

Thanks again, it does have a very good Dojo feel to it. Just fire off a spell or two to let me gauge where you are at, then I'll do a demonstration myself. Then we'll go from there. Sound good? Awaiting her response, if she responded positively he would take quite a few steps behind her to give her some room to breathe. Ardere was quite interested to see what kind of flames she could produce, and he could give her tips on the other element as well. While fire was his specialty, he had amassed quite the amount of knowledge on magic in general, and had helped people with a few different elements and forms of magic. He was kind, but he would push her to her limits to get her stronger.

They both stood on opposite sides of the room. She hoped her magic would not backfire much like last time as it was very unstable associated with her illness. Ardere had gotten into position as he explain the instruction. A simple nod came from her in understandment. "Very clear, sir" was all she said. In preparing for a demostration. The young redhead fell a sharp pain while in doing so up her shoulder, but she shook it off. A magic circle appeared underneath her as infurious fire burned around her in a circle. She had a feeling this was going to backfire majorly. As the fire crawled up her arms slowly casting her arms on fire and melting her metal armor. She shook her head. "This is not suppose to happen" she hissed. The redhead felt the metal burning her skin as it slowly melted on her skin. Finally it stopped. The bandages on her right arm and shoulder burned away showing charcoaled skin and a purple glow from her mark. Her other arm had burns on the other, the condition was only minor since it was a minor ranked spell. But The power was not tamed.

She fell to her knees as her armor steamed she took it off show her black shirt and blue skirt. It hurt to move her arms. It was like they were sun burnt. The rest of her bandages still remained covering the sin of her past on her face. "I'm sorry...that always...happens...sorry if I had failed your request, sir" she grunted.

Widening his eyes a bit, Ardere had to restrain himself to not interfere. She seemed to have control for a moment, but as the flames moved up he could tel it was hazardous. Sucking in the bright flames, he limited the amount of burns and melting she would take. As a flame slayer, it was an easy task to suck the flames away. Quickly rushing over to examine her wounds, he brought some bandages. Holy crap, are you alright? The guild master had seen magic backfire before, but never such as this. The look in his orange piercing eyes was one of concern, but also of intrigue. What was causing this woman's magic to backfire? Pressing his fingers to her armor for her arms, he disassembled them using crash magic so the metal did not stick to her skin so roughly. Wrapping the clean bandages around her wounds, he could not help but wince. It pained him to see a young girl in this sort of pain from her own magic, it reminded him of when he was first mastering his flames. While he had not burned his skin like this, he did know how hard it could be. It's not your fault, you'll get the hang of it I promise.

Rubbing his chin, he was quite curious as to the purple glow he had seen earlier when she activated her magic. It was a mark of sorts, obviously one of very powerful magic. If Ardere had to guess, it was a seal of sorts. He had never encountered such magic, at least not in a long time. The closest thing he could describe it to was that of Hades, but that was only due to what Hephaestus had shown him. Twisting his lip as he tended to her wounds, the fire mage would also look at the mark. Did you get that mark from somewhere, or were you born with it? Also this is gonna sting. Disinfecting her wounds with pure alcohol, he would finish wrapping them. Holding her down until he was done, he did not want her jumping away before he patched her up. When you focus on flames, do you focus on rage or serenity? Just curious as to your method. Standing up, he flipped his cloak back again. This young woman was quite intriguing, and if he couldn't do something for her physical body, he could give some sound advice to help her out.

Post by LeeAnn Nakamura on Tue 13 Oct - 20:45

LeeAnn's vision was blurry as she saw Ardere coming to her side to check if she was okay. Her wounds were severe burns and were different from most. Her magic was a combination of poison and fire. A painful yet powerful magic. It was apart from her sickness she was born with. It could not be cure nor wiped. There was no escape from it. He seemed to have feel sorry for her as she most often saw people wince and shy away from such sight, but she noticed he was actually disinfecting her wounds and wrapping them up as he gathered the supplies. "I hate failing unfulfilled promises" she said.

Her arm pulsed with the purple glow. The girl was asked if she was either born with this or not. Ardere held her down as she slowly shifted her eyes to the alcohol he was going to clean her wounds with. She freaked out as Ardere had overpowered her to keep her from moving. She knew it was going to sting and tensed her muscles to prepared herself for what was coming. The alcohol poured on her burns as she cried in pain from the intense stinging. It was only for a few minutes then it was done. Though, it did hurt when he wrapped her arms tightly in a bandage. Afterwards, it hurt to actually move them without having a burning effect. She tried to keep them from being moved as little as possible. "Thank you Ardere. Thats the quickest relief I have ever had in all my years. I was born with this mark, my step-father said is was a relgious sin and so my hate for churches started ever since. I guess I just focus on the current emotions. Really, I think all I know is fear and anger to people. I can never feel safe without being discriminated and closing myself towards people. My Uncles say I cover myself in a thick shell to hide myself from crying" she said looking down.

Hating to see her in pain, Ardere was glad to see that she was feeling some relief. He had known for a long time that he had fatherly instincts around many people, and injuries upon good people brought that out in him. You'll be fine, I'll help ya the best I can. Helping her up as she talked, he would move her over to one of the benches. Take a seat here. Setting her down, he listened to her words intently. This young woman had come quite far, and she had an interesting past. He was certain that mark was the cause of her problems, but only she could overcome this. Stepping back, he cracked his shoulders and arms, popping sounds emitting from them. Taking his spot a good deal away from her, his orange eyes full of flames. While anger can be the most powerful emotion, you have to know how to control it. Don't let the anger control you. Black flames began to swirl around his body, even though he was a distance away from the young woman it was likely that she could feel their intensity.

I tend to find a sense of inner peace when training, but I have found my strongest moments were when I was angry. But my anger comes from innocents being harmed, or those I care about. You just have to find your motivation. Turning away from the young red headed woman, he drew his arm back. Punching it forward, a drill of black flames erupted from his fist. This drill was massive in size, larger enough to scrape the walls and the ceiling around the fire mage. Fortunately LeeAnn was behind him, and would not be harmed but his flames were quite intense. Considering the training room was rather large, his flames scorched across 80 meters before creating a point. This was perhaps one of his most powerful spells. Flame God's Judgement! The flames looked like they could destroy half the building, but the magic resistant metal within the Dojo prevented that. Once the flames dissipated, he turned to the young woman. Like that.

Control. It was all about control. Ardere carefully set her down a bench kindly. He seemed to make her feel like she wasn't any different from the next person. This was what she wanted from a stranger. But, she was one to always dwell on the negative and look on her painful past. She created a thick shell of aggression and pure anger to hide her weakness and that was she couldn't stand on her own two feet. This meant she had to depend on someone all the time emotionally for support. She Didnt want to drain anyone since she had so many problem with her. Concealing her anger into a bottle until it exploded. She would always feel something like anger towards the people who tortured her, it even caused her to kill her own step father who sold his own son and wife in slavery to merely save his reputation. She hated killing. She really did. But for reason like that, someone had to stop him. "Control. Easier said than done. I guess I have personal issues to work out. It all boils down to me being ill and loosing the two things that mattered in m life. What's point in living if all people do is hurt each other? I mean sure there is good somewhere but when ever I find it it seems to slip through hands somehow even when I fight. So much for making my mother proud" she sighed. She sounded like she was giving up which in a way, she kinda was.

She had never felt accepted into society which she made herself to be an outsider. Kinda her own fault there. LeeAnn never knew how to make a friend and keep them out of fear of people and social anxiety. Her only friend was Sol, also her newly founded brother, but head a dark mage and sometimes they never saw eye-to-eye. She watched and listened to Ardere explain with his brand of fire magic that anger was a powerful emotion and she had to control that. The doors opened to a dog-like reptilian creature with a missing back leg and no eyes. "She surrounds herself with anger and agression. It's all the redhead knows, right LeeLee" he said. The nickname he gave her made her hissed giving a look. "What did I tell you about calling me that? One more time and I will burn you into ashes" she hissed. The anger caused the burns to hurt more. [b]"See what I mean, she's agressive and always angry about every little aspect. It's a shell. We need to get to the root of the problem if want to solve anything and to master this illness magic thingy thing. I am Concord by the way, LeeAnn's personal gurdian. I make sure she doesn't get herself in a tight hind and save her life, ya know. All the heroic stuff"[b] he smiled.

Slowly walking back over to the red headed girl, Ardere kept his armor covered arms by his side. The young woman's words got to him, he could empathize with the way she felt but he had come to his own conclusions over the years. Crouching down in front of her, due to his height he was relatively able to still look her in the eyes. People do hurt each other, yes.
