    Kodai Venator, Tartarus
A crimson lining decorated the sky as the sun set to rest. It had been half a day since Nai had left for the city. It was about a two hour march to Crocus and back. The lands they residedset in the central east, it was close to civilization, on the outer borders of what the Fiorans called "The Cursed Lands". Lyserg was sitting on a windowsill atop the castle, letting his feet dangle into the depths. His eyes steered out into the open. He had made it very clear to be back before night hits. Some form of a curfew he pronounced for safety reasons, as that was the time the giants, trolls and golems came out of the earth to haunt this desolate region.

Watches were no need, Lyserg's perception of time was on point. He knew exactly how long ago he had told Nai to get back before dawn, and he knew that the sun would set in just about 16 seconds. He was able to spot a figure in the distance. Too far away for his senses, but the raven lining made it clear it was Nai. What was strange was that he spotted an even fainter figure. Albeit even further than Nai, it was apparent that a bipedal something had lost its way and reached a place that no soul was ever supposed to know existed. Had Nai been followed? Granted, he was an amateur, but he was not that stupid. Did he do it on purpose? A more logical conclusion. Lyserg sighed. He was a troublesome boy, but his wit benefitted from youthful impulse and was at times, faster than his own.

Jumping off of the windowsill, Lyserg scooted through the air downwards in the direction of the entrance. As the last rays of sun reached the peak of the highest steeple, darkness embraced this land. It was then, that in the furthest distance damp growls began echoing over the flat surface. Disgusting creatures, just like nearly two-thousand years ago, but they had done the job of keeping out intruders. Either the invadee would be a quick breakfeast for one of the giants, or he would make it here. Which was, for all intents and purposes not exactly a better option. But Lyserg was not entirely doubtful. The past chance encounters had shown him that the people gathering in Fiore were quite interesting.

Kodai was following a very suspicious person he had spotted while on patrol in Crocus. The person was shifty-looking, and had an obvious aura of magic about him. As he turned the corner, Kodai caught a glimpse of what he thought to be the mark of a long-dead guild. Kodai looked closer, and let out an audible gasp. It was true. There it was, on the back of the guy's hand. The crossed symbol of the dark guild Tartarus. In bright red. Just who did this kid think he was kidding? So now Kodai, as he thought a good Rune Knight would do, was following the dark mage at a distance, as stealthily as possible, Tsukisashi at the ready in case the kid tried anything.

    unravelled and can't breath...
A single apple red was firmly held in thin pale fingers, broken open by pearly whites that chewed against sweet ivory and savouring juice. Transparent shined against two shifting lips, stringing liquid down a right corner and then to a chin as dully crimson pools sweeped in the direction of what expressed as a.. decaying castle. Feet were bruised from constant travel against firm ground, bare and shoeless, yet no recognition of pain was unvieled, but rather.. pleasure. The sun was setting, evening drawing closer to shadowing the lifeless land - lifting monsters into what they considered "day". But, that was no where near where most restlessness settled, rather a heart binded with flesh drummed rhythmically in diversion of the one who trailed behind him. He, on the other hand, may of expressed his complete oblivious features as more consumed with eating this apple, but - his purpose had been to lead him here from the beginning. A smirk was masked by strands of raven, belting the more or less devoured apple to the side of muddy earth, rolling and then tumbling until it halted, in sync with his steps as he stopped. His head craned up, observing the structure of the entrance.

As usual, the once lively kingdom looked like it was going to collapse - scoffing at its isolation and the way it was so haunting, yet also fairly intriuging. A thin and slender figure steered toward the barren land that coiled around the place he currently called home, pools of crimson chained by ebony rings - scanning lifeless forest for signs of movement. It was so muted. Although, he knew the stranger was there. "Come out!~ Come out!~ Where-ever you are!~" clearly mocking, his self was not aware of the old-man that was behind him, also observing, "Or are you afraid?~" wether a lashing was produced so suddenly, enough wild-life was around that he could "react" just as quickly.

Iniki stood near the guild gates leaning against the inside wall, there wasn't an exact reason why she was here in particular, maybe she simply enjoyed scolding the other members of the guild for showing up late, or maybe she was hoping a lowly monster would stumble through for her to kill only to snack on its soul. Beside her was a small pipe sheered off at the ends to make them sharp and lethal, something she had picked up to act as a makeshift spear until she could get a hold of her old weapon which she had been searching high and low for.

Tonight Nai was late for Lysergs supposed "curfew" or whatever the humans called it, and today she might enjoy taunting him by destroying something he saw dear to him. Tonight however her cause was not that of taunting Nai for his impudence but instead she smelled death in the air, something or someone ripe for the picking, and she is going to enjoy every single moment she gets with whatever foolish aberration was going to wander to close to her hiding place as she was calling it now.

How come that every potently and expressively bad person just had to abide to eating apples? Lyserg did not like stereotypes, but somehow, apples were the ultimate fruit for those who wanted to portray that they were definitely not nice people. Unnecessarily forceful and theatrical. But perhaps Nai just had an incredibly like for apples? Under his breath, he ''hmph'd" and decided to unveil himself upon the young one's call. Stepping out, around a corner, Lyserg stared at Nai from a distance. His eyes ate were motionless torquoise pebbles in a hawk-like frame that steered past Nai. There was no magical signature behind his guildmember. All that told him the follower was still there was his intuition.

"You are late, Nai." He gruffed, wanting to come off casually. "A few moments later and you would have become food for one of the giants." He continued, knowing fully well that Nai was trying to lure out his stalker. Something he wanted to avoid for now. The invadee should follow them. Somewhere, he was sure to catch him. "You should not think me afraid... Judar." He stated, cautiously mentioning Nai's alias. As he walked towards him, Lyserg stopped above Nai and lowered his lips to his member's ear. "Don't lure him out just yet." He whispered in a silence that could only be heard by those with the fitting magic. And if the invadee was such a person, he was either far away or far too stupid for entering these walls.
