Manayus fell silent once he had finished what it was he had to say, and quickly joined Akame behind the rubble to hide thei presence from the other mages. The only problem with this scenario, was the residue of his own magic. If the mages paid any attention to thir sense of smell, those close enough to him would be able to pick up the sweet scent of roses (yes, he constantly smells like roses). One of the mages they silently passed did suddenly turn around, expecting to find someon but saw nothing as the two leaned down low to avoid detection.

Finally, Manayus reached forward to gently grab Akame's sleeve and give it a tug, pointing to a door that they were just about to pass. He couldn't just abandon the Townsend family by going to rejoin the musketeers, they were tasked with finding them, and he suddenly remembered a much more quiet and safe way to get there. He carefully slipped into the room, ushering Akame to follow him and then silently closed the door behind the pair, sighing in slight relief to be out of immediate danger.

    "Follow me."
He whispered as he crept across the room, and used his magic to fly up towars the ceiling. He felt around the ceiling for a moment, and soon stoppd to press on a part of it. When he did, the part fell into his hands and revealed what almost looked like a hidden vent, only slightly larger. He then looked towards Akame and pointed up, indicating that she should go in first so that he could close the entrance behind them in the event anyone else walked into this room and discovered them.

Akame intended to meet the Musketeers during their series of brawls versus the remainder of the Mages ahead. However, after a slight tug on her sleeve- which Akame highly disliked- she turned back and wondered what the heck her partner was up to now. On the bright side, his partner seemed to come up with a new plan as a vent was pointed out to her. Akame nodded proudly, still irritated by the fact that her shirt had been mistreated, slightly. Like Manayus, Akame used her magic to fly carefully into the vent, and as Manayus pointed out, headed inside the vent, first. Akame wandered inside the vent, noting the fact that the area lacked oxygen, and was hot inside. Akame looked back to Manayus and pouted before she smelt something sweet. "Honestly..." Akame commented, "You smell like a girl with perfume, Manayus..." Akame could not handle the smell of roses on a man- it just seemed inappropriate. Akame sighed, and proceeded to the other end of the vent, slowly so the two could remain unnoticed by the Mages outside.

Once Akame reached the other end of the vent, she could see the Townsend family nearby. They were tied up together with multiple ropes, while their eyes were covered. Akame stepped out of the vent, and utilized her magic once more to land slowly on the ground's surface. The Tempest Demon Slayer approached the family, and gestured them to be silent while she would take care of their bindings. Meanwhile, one of the Musketeers headed down to where the two set foot, seemingly discarded from the other two Musketeers, who were doing a fantastic job eliminating their enemies. Akame was glad the two were receiving all the help they could get, now freeing the family from their bindings, successfully. However, it seemed it would take just as much work to get out of this mansion as it did to get inside, though one aspect of this case would be much simpler...

The two, along with Musketeers, were now united once more.

"Forgive me Lady Akame... believe it or not it's a side effect of my magic."
He whispered softly as the two crawled silently through the vents, passing room after room filled with dark mages who seemed to be just waiting for their turn to attack any intruders that dared come into the mansion. He seriously hoped that none of them caught onto the smell of roses passing by...

There didn't seem to be an issue however as Akame opened up the vent that led into the ballroom, slipping inside silently and landing on the ground gracefully before she began to undo the Townsend family's binds. Manayus peered over the opening of the vent and took a deep breath before jumping down and flying over to the Townsend family. Just as his feet touched the ground, he heard the young girl that was just now being freed gasp as she saw him. Tears welled up in the young girls eyes as, the moment she was released, she leaped up to her feet and hugged Manayus tightly, now letting her tears fall freely down her face. Manayus smiled gently as he hugged her tightly.

"Don't cry Ali. We're here to get you and your parents out, alright? Come now..."
He said softly, trying to comfort her and guide her outside the ballroom. At first, he found the Musketeers running inside to meet them, hearing the doors close behind them. However, when another set of door closed, Manayus quickly picked Ali up and took to the air just as a a statue came crashing down where he once stood.

    "What the..."

"Oh no... it's him... he's back..."
Ali shuddered as she held onto Manayus tightly, causing the man to wince lightly as she pressed against his injuries. he looked up to see a heavily cloaked man floating above him, a wide smirk crossing his face as he suddenly vanished....

(he actually teleported for his next attack)

Akame grinned at the thought that the Townsend family was now free from their pain and suffering- so long as Manayus, Akame and the Musketeers were still intact by the end of this mission, of course. Even the Musketeers hesitated once a new arrival had set foot upon the basement of this mansion, obviously prepared to wreak havoc on the residents and visitors of the house. Akame was actually unaware of what was known as the "boss" in this mission, and so while the wizard still remained distant from the party, she took a quick glimpse of the wizard's profile. By the time she was done, however, the wizard was very close to the group, all of a sudden. A little girl was left fearful along with the rest of the Townsend family, while Akame had no idea what to do for herself. She was only a D-Ranked Mage, after all, and as far as she knew now, the wizard could avoid her techniques with ease, and even teleport, elsewhere. However, by the looks of things, and how the party was currently grouped together, the wizard would have nowhere to go but behind the group if he wanted to be advantageous of them, which gave Akame a great idea.

The wizard had finally approached the team ready to defeat him, which triggered the Musketeers into charging at him instantly. However, while Akame thought they had complete advantage over him, already, in an instant, all three were knocked back into a solid wall, severely hurt when it came to getting up. Their movements were not in vain, fortunately, as Akame set-up her own spell once the wizard came for her next. "Tempest Demon Slayer's Raging Light!" Akame shouted, the wizard grinning immediately. Luckily, Akame had the last laugh as for two seconds, a silver light appeared with her risen blade, shooting up into the sky. This made the wizard think the spell was instant, and so it had disappeared already. Akame utilized logic in this moment to swing herself in a full circle to cut the teleporting wizard off- at least away from her if he wanted to avoid the sword- to become victim to her spell. The spell shot lightning, which dealt fatal damage to the wizard. It left him paralyzed momentarily, which gave all five brawlers a single moment to attack. "Charge!" Akame declared, the Musketeers following her demand as the wizard was left down. It was about to be punished greatly, though Akame doubted it would be defeated so easily- near defeat, at most.
